The first thing which I will do today is post the full video of Putin’s speech with English subtitles made by Michael Rossi on YouTube:
Next, I will now post the full transcript. I will add emphasis by blue bolding out some key passages and a few key words will be emphasized in bold red. I will then add my own comments in italics red.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Citizens of Russia, citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, deputies of the State Duma, senators of the Russian Federation,
As you know, referendums have been held in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The ballots have been counted and the results have been announced. The people have made their unequivocal choice.
Today we will sign treaties on the accession of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye Region and Kherson Region to the Russian Federation. I have no doubt that the Federal Assembly will support the constitutional laws on the accession to Russia and the establishment of four new regions, our new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, because this is the will of millions of people. (Applause.)
It is undoubtedly their right, an inherent right sealed in Article 1 of the UN Charter, which directly states the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples.
I repeat, it is an inherent right of the people. It is based on our historical affinity, and it is that right that led generations of our predecessors, those who built and defended Russia for centuries since the period of Ancient Rus, to victory.
Here in Novorossiya, [Pyotr] Rumyantsev, [Alexander] Suvorov and [Fyodor] Ushakov fought their battles, and Catherine the Great and [Grigory] Potyomkin founded new cities. Our grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought here to the bitter end during the Great Patriotic War.
We will always remember the heroes of the Russian Spring, those who refused to accept the neo-Nazi coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014, all those who died for the right to speak their native language, to preserve their culture, traditions and religion, and for the very right to live. We remember the soldiers of Donbass, the martyrs of the “Odessa Khatyn,” the victims of inhuman terrorist attacks carried out by the Kiev regime. We commemorate volunteers and militiamen, civilians, children, women, senior citizens, Russians, Ukrainians, people of various nationalities; popular leader of Donetsk Alexander Zakharchenko; military commanders Arsen Pavlov and Vladimir Zhoga, Olga Kochura and Alexei Mozgovoy; prosecutor of the Lugansk Republic Sergei Gorenko; paratrooper Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov and all our soldiers and officers who died a hero’s death during the special military operation. They are heroes. (Applause.) Heroes of great Russia. Please join me in a minute of silence to honour their memory.
(Minute of silence.)
Behind the choice of millions of residents in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, is our common destiny and thousand-year history. People have passed this spiritual connection on to their children and grandchildren. Despite all the trials they endured, they carried the love for Russia through the years. This is something no one can destroy. That is why both older generations and young people – those who were born after the tragic collapse of the Soviet Union – have voted for our unity, for our common future.
In 1991 in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, representatives of the party elite of that time made a decision to terminate the Soviet Union, without asking ordinary citizens what they wanted, and people suddenly found themselves cut off from their homeland. This tore apart and dismembered our national community and triggered a national catastrophe. Just like the government quietly demarcated the borders of Soviet republics, acting behind the scenes after the 1917 revolution, the last leaders of the Soviet Union, contrary to the direct expression of the will of the majority of people in the referendum of 1991, destroyed our great country, and simply made the people in the former republics face this as an accomplished fact.
I can admit that they didn’t even know what they were doing and what consequences their actions would have in the end. But it doesn’t matter now. There is no Soviet Union anymore; we cannot return to the past. Actually, Russia no longer needs it today; this isn’t our ambition.
Comment: this is an important statement because it clearly spells out Putin’s rejection, on both pragmatic and philosophical reasons, of any kind of nostalgia for the Soviet Union, nevermind any attempts to restore it. As Putin once said, “he who does not deplore the end of the Soviet Union has no heart, and he who wants to recreate it has no brain”. This is also one aspect of Putin which particularly infuriates the 6th columnists and other assorted emo-Marxists: Putin’s world view is Russian, not Soviet, and while Putin never denied the immense achievements of the Soviet period, he also is acutely aware of the horrendous human costs of the Soviet rule, especially for the Russian people. At the end of Putin’s speech we will have one more chance to revisit this topic.
But there is nothing stronger than the determination of millions of people who, by their culture, religion, traditions, and language, consider themselves part of Russia, whose ancestors lived in a single country for centuries. There is nothing stronger than their determination to return to their true historical homeland.
For eight long years, people in Donbass were subjected to genocide, shelling and blockades; in Kherson and Zaporozhye, a criminal policy was pursued to cultivate hatred for Russia, for everything Russian. Now too, during the referendums, the Kiev regime threatened schoolteachers, women who worked in election commissions with reprisals and death. Kiev threatened millions of people who came to express their will with repression. But the people of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson weren’t broken, and they had their say.
I want the Kiev authorities and their true handlers in the West to hear me now, and I want everyone to remember this: the people living in Lugansk and Donetsk, in Kherson and Zaporozhye have become our citizens, forever. (Applause.)
Comment: as I have been predicting for many months now, the Kremlin has long decided that the West is “non-agreement capable” and, therefore, has replaced a policy of attempted negotiations with a policy of unilateralism. Not only that, but much of the Russian unilateral policy right now is to turn up what I called the “pain dial” on Kiev, the EU and the USA. What Putin is saying here is basically this: “due to your self-defeating policy of always doubling down on even the most idiotic policies, you have forever lost Crimea, Donetsk, Lukansk, Zaporozhie and Kherson. Better talk to us now before you lose even more land forever”
We call on the Kiev regime to immediately cease fire and all hostilities; to end the war it unleashed back in 2014 and return to the negotiating table. We are ready for this, as we have said more than once. But the choice of the people in Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson will not be discussed. The decision has been made, and Russia will not betray it. (Applause.) Kiev’s current authorities should respect this free expression of the people’s will; there is no other way. This is the only way to peace.
We will defend our land with all the forces and resources we have, and we will do everything we can to ensure the safety of our people. This is the great liberating mission of our nation.
Comment: that is clearly a not-too-subtle hint that while something like 15% (or even less) of the Russian military is currently involved in the SMO (so far the Kremlin has not changed that designation), the remaining 85% are available if and when needed. Russia has zero need to use tactical nukes in the Ukraine or anywhere else, but if need be, Russia will use any and all means at her disposal to protect her people.
We will definitely rebuild the destroyed cities and towns, the residential buildings, schools, hospitals, theatres and museums. We will restore and develop industrial enterprises, factories, infrastructure, as well as the social security, pension, healthcare and education systems.
We will certainly work to improve the level of security. Together we will make sure that citizens in the new regions can feel the support of all the people of Russia, of the entire nation, all the republics, territories and regions of our vast Motherland. (Applause.)
Today I would like to address our soldiers and officers who are taking part in the special military operation, the fighters of Donbass and Novorossiya, those who went to military recruitment offices after receiving a call-up paper under the executive order on partial mobilisation, and those who did this voluntarily, answering the call of their hearts. I would like to address their parents, wives and children, to tell them what our people are fighting for, what kind of enemy we are up against, and who is pushing the world into new wars and crises and deriving blood-stained benefits from this tragedy.
Comment: what comes next is both a diagnosis of the true nature of the West and an official Russian rejection therefore on the grounds that is is deeply inhuman and evil.
Our compatriots, our brothers and sisters in Ukraine who are part of our united people have seen with their own eyes what the ruling class of the so-called West have prepared for humanity as a whole. They have dropped their masks and shown what they are really made of.
Comment: Putin is directly accusing the West of hypocrisy and rabid, messianic, imperialism. He simply notes that that which we now see openly was hidden for decades and even centuries under all sorts of pious ideological justifications. Now Russia has forced the West to show its true face to the entire planet, and the planet is recoiling in horror and disgust.
When the Soviet Union collapsed, the West decided that the world and all of us would permanently accede to its dictates. In 1991, the West thought that Russia would never rise after such shocks and would fall to pieces on its own. This almost happened. We remember the horrible 1990s, hungry, cold and hopeless. But Russia remained standing, came alive, grew stronger and occupied its rightful place in the world.
Comment: for at least a decade, Russia did live as a US colony and she was pillaged, raped and even came close to totally breaking up. The West has now chosen to modestly “forget” about how it “advised” and “assisted” the “democratic” government of Russia (in spite of the AngloZionist butchery organized in Moscow in 1993) but Putin is reminding everybody that he and most Russians remember this horror very well.
Meanwhile, the West continued and continues looking for another chance to strike a blow at us, to weaken and break up Russia, which they have always dreamed about, to divide our state and set our peoples against each other, and to condemn them to poverty and extinction. They cannot rest easy knowing that there is such a great country with this huge territory in the world, with its natural wealth, resources and people who cannot and will not do someone else’s bidding.
Comment: Here Putin confirms something which I have been writing about for years: the West and Russia are locked into an existential war simply because Russia wants to be truly sovereign, which is something which the West considers and existential threat.
The West is ready to cross every line to preserve the neo-colonial system which allows it to live off the world, to plunder it thanks to the domination of the dollar and technology, to collect an actual tribute from humanity, to extract its primary source of unearned prosperity, the rent paid to the hegemon. The preservation of this annuity is their main, real and absolutely self-serving motivation.
Comment: here Putin is basically saying that the West is a kind of “international hyena” who lives by robbing and murdering anybody else. Furthermore, Putin clearly indicates that the West will not agree to even consider another developmental model, hence is conclusion that preserving this state of affairs is the West “main, real and absolutely self-serving motivation”.
This is why total de-sovereignisation is in their interest. This explains their aggression towards independent states, traditional values and authentic cultures, their attempts to undermine international and integration processes, new global currencies and technological development centres they cannot control. It is critically important for them to force all countries to surrender their sovereignty to the United States.
Comment: here Putin brings it all to the crux of the problem: the West cannot and will not tolerate any true sovereignty, not abroad not even at home (hence the stolen elections)! As for Russia and the countries of what I call “Zone B”, their end goal is exactly that, full sovereignty. So while the Cold War was, at least officially, a struggle between capitalist and Marxist ideologies, the new Tepid War we see now pits hegemonists against sovereignists in a zero-sum struggle in which one party will prevail and the other simply disappear.
In certain countries, the ruling elites voluntarily agree to do this, voluntarily agree to become vassals; others are bribed or intimidated. And if this does not work, they destroy entire states, leaving behind humanitarian disasters, devastation, ruins, millions of wrecked and mangled human lives, terrorist enclaves, social disaster zones, protectorates, colonies and semi-colonies. They don’t care. All they care about is their own benefit.
Comment: here Putin lists the type of hell on earth the West unleashes against any country or even ethnicity which dares to disobey it. The “fruits” of western capitalism are “the destruction of entire states, leaving behind humanitarian disasters, devastation, ruins, millions of wrecked and mangled human lives, terrorist enclaves, social disaster zones, protectorates, colonies and semi-colonies”. Only a terminally ignorant, or brainwashed, person could argue against such an indisputable historical legacy!
I want to underscore again that their insatiability and determination to preserve their unfettered dominance are the real causes of the hybrid war that the collective West is waging against Russia. They do not want us to be free; they want us to be a colony. They do not want equal cooperation; they want to loot. They do not want to see us a free society, but a mass of soulless slaves.
Comment: in simple terms, Putin indicates to the Russian people why they are fighting this war and what is truly at stake: the survival of the Russian nation as such.
They see our thought and our philosophy as a direct threat. That is why they target our philosophers for assassination. Our culture and art present a danger to them, so they are trying to ban them. Our development and prosperity are also a threat to them because competition is growing. They do not want or need Russia, but we do. (Applause.)
Comment: here Putin goes even further and indicates that it is not the military or economic might of Russia which the West considers a threat, but even more so the civilizational values carried by the peoples or Russia. And I totally agree with him: Russian thought and philosophy are, indeed, an immense threat to the West and its ruling classes. Hence the rabid “cancel Russia” phenomenon we can observe everywhere.
I would like to remind you that in the past, ambitions of world domination have repeatedly shattered against the courage and resilience of our people. Russia will always be Russia. We will continue to defend our values and our Motherland.
Comment: here Putin reminds his audience that it has been the historical mission of Russia to stand against and defeat wave after wave after wave of Western messianic invasions, attacks, interventions, assassinations and even the support for civil wars inside Russia (Chechnia). For all her history Russia fought against western Crusaders and that is still her mission today.
The West is counting on impunity, on being able to get away with anything. As a matter of fact, this was actually the case until recently.
Comment: he is right, the West did get away with, quite literally, mass murder and even genocide throughout its history. Folks in the West don’t like to hear that, but that dislike does not change the historical record. I would even argue that the manic determination of so many people in the West to whitewash the shameful historical legacy of the European civilization is a key component of the “ideological superstructure” which has supported Western imperialism since at least the Crusades.
Strategic security agreements have been trashed; agreements reached at the highest political level have been declared tall tales; firm promises not to expand NATO to the east gave way to dirty deception as soon as our former leaders bought into them; missile defence, intermediate-range and shorter-range missile treaties have been unilaterally dismantled under far-fetched pretexts.
And all we hear is, the West is insisting on a rules-based order. Where did that come from anyway? Who has ever seen these rules? Who agreed or approved them? Listen, this is just a lot of nonsense, utter deceit, double standards, or even triple standards! They must think we’re stupid.
Russia is a great thousand-year-old power, a whole civilisation, and it is not going to live by such makeshift, false rules. (Applause.)
Comment: that is a direct reference to the attempts by the ruling classes of the West to replace international law by a so-called “rules based order” whose rules would be defined by, of course, the Western ruling classes and which will be entirely situational: if they do it it is bad, if we do it is is good. Basically, this entire “rules based order” is yet another attempt at declaring the West infallible, just like the Pope was declared infallible during the Vatican I council. Claims of infallibility are always at the core of any forms of self-worship.
It was the so-called West that trampled on the principle of the inviolability of borders, and now it is deciding, at its own discretion, who has the right to self-determination and who does not, who is unworthy of it. It is unclear what their decisions are based on or who gave them the right to decide in the first place. They just assumed it.
Comment: well, making such assumptions is what most self-worshiping megalomaniacs and assorted narcissists are all about! It is hardly surprising that they would “just assume” whatever they heck they want. When you sincerely believe that you are the superior Master Race, the best of what mankind has to offer, and when you see all others as simply resources, that is exactly the kind of rationalizing assumptions you will make. This is exactly what the wolf tells to the lamb in a famous Russian folk story: “You are already guilty of the fact that I am hungry.”
That is why the choice of the people in Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson makes them so furiously angry. The West does not have any moral right to weigh in, or even utter a word about freedom of democracy. It does not and it never did.
Comment: the fact that such referendums were conducted is bad enough (for the West), but it is the very high level of participation (in spite of neverending shelling and terrorist attacks!) and the very strong support for the integration into Russia is a huge slap in the face of Uncle Shmuel who, as you might remember, did not bother having any referendums in Kosovo. No doubt, the people from these liberated regions of the Ukraine will now be added to the (already long) list of “deplorables” who, apparently, just don’t get how they should vote and who need to be taught a brutal lesson about the costs of disobeying Uncle Shmuel.
Western elites not only deny national sovereignty and international law. Their hegemony has pronounced features of totalitarianism, despotism and apartheid. They brazenly divide the world into their vassals – the so-called civilised countries – and all the rest, who, according to the designs of today’s Western racists, should be added to the list of barbarians and savages. False labels like “rogue country” or “authoritarian regime” are already available, and are used to stigmatise entire nations and states, which is nothing new. There is nothing new in this: deep down, the Western elites have remained the same colonisers. They discriminate and divide peoples into the top tier and the rest.
Comment: Putin speaks of totalitarianism, despotism and Apartheid. He then uses the word “racist” and repeats it three times in the next paragraph.
We have never agreed to and will never agree to such political nationalism and racism. What else, if not racism, is the Russophobia being spread around the world? What, if not racism, is the West’s dogmatic conviction that its civilisation and neoliberal culture is an indisputable model for the entire world to follow? “You’re either with us or against us.” It even sounds strange.
Comment: as somebody born in the heart of Europe (Switzerland) I can attest that anti-Russian racism is an absolute reality in Europe, especially northern Europe (southern Europe has lived under the yoke of northern Europe for centuries and things are much more complex and nuanced in countries which belong to the “Mediterranean civilizational realm). That anti-Russian European racism is not as crude as, say, racism against non-white cultures or ethnicities. Instead, it is a quite internal sense of superiority mixed in with a sense of fear. This type of racism is by no means any preferable to the more vociferous type. The modern doxa makes lots of claims about “diversity” and “inclusivity”, but in plain English this “diversity” and “inclusivity” only apply to some groups and not to others. As Orwell famously wrote “some are more equal than others”. For example, Russians lives are worthless. The opinions and values of the people of Russia are worthless too. And, in fact, since Russia has the infinite arrogance to reject the so-called “Western civilizational values”, she has to be crushed, subjugated, divided and colonized. Dehumanization is always a prerequisite for genocidal policies, nothing new here.
Western elites are even shifting repentance for their own historical crimes on everyone else, demanding that the citizens of their countries and other peoples confess to things they have nothing to do with at all, for example, the period of colonial conquests.
It is worth reminding the West that it began its colonial policy back in the Middle Ages, followed by the worldwide slave trade, the genocide of Indian tribes in America, the plunder of India and Africa, the wars of England and France against China, as a result of which it was forced to open its ports to the opium trade. What they did was get entire nations hooked on drugs and purposefully exterminated entire ethnic groups for the sake of grabbing land and resources, hunting people like animals. This is contrary to human nature, truth, freedom and justice.
Comment: oh that historical record again! And yes, the roots of the current war go straight back into the 11th century! Reminder: the Papacy broke away from the Christian world in 1054, it adopted the (totally megalomaniacal) Papal Dictates in 1075 and it launched its first Crusade in 1096. In other words, just two decades after cutting itself off from the Christian world, in 1054, the Pope declared himself some kind of “super-absolute-bishop”, in 1075, something unheard of before, and then soon thereafter, in 1096, the Papacy declared its first ‘crusade’. Does anybody really think that this is a coincidence? If so, then beware of folks selling you bridges…
While we – we are proud that in the 20th century our country led the anti-colonial movement, which opened up opportunities for many peoples around the world to make progress, reduce poverty and inequality, and defeat hunger and disease.
To emphasise, one of the reasons for the centuries-old Russophobia, the Western elites’ unconcealed animosity toward Russia is precisely the fact that we did not allow them to rob us during the period of colonial conquests and forced the Europeans to trade with us on mutually beneficial terms.
Comment: here is the simply and true core of it all: it is about *obedience*. The Western Master Races told Russia to kneel and shut up, and each time the Russians beat them and remained free. The very existence of a nation like the Russian one is not only a major threat to the Western ruling classes, but also an absolutely intolerable affront: those evil vodka-soaked “snow niggers” will have to be brought to heel, one way or another, and by any means necessary. They also must be punished, severely, for their impudence.
This was achieved by creating a strong centralised state in Russia, which grew and got stronger based on the great moral values of Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Buddhism, as well as Russian culture and the Russian word that were open to all.
There were numerous plans to invade Russia. Such attempts were made during the Time of Troubles in the 17th century and in the period of ordeals after the 1917 revolution. All of them failed. The West managed to grab hold of Russia’s wealth only in the late 20th century, when the state had been destroyed. They called us friends and partners, but they treated us like a colony, using various schemes to pump trillions of dollars out of the country. We remember. We have not forgotten anything.
Comment: besides ruling over a population whose level of ignorance is breathtaking (thank you TV!) and whose attention span is measured in minutes or hours (well a few days for the really exceptional ones!), the Western ruling elites have always whitewashed themselves with not even a hint of conscience. Hence the folks who committed the Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima or Nagasaki massacres have all been declared heroes, not war criminals. As for the folks who executed the 9/11 false flag and the subsequent GWOT, which killed way over a million people, have all received medals, commendations, cozy positions and generous pensions. As everybody knows, “it is okay when we do it”. That’s that simple, really. But Russia has not forgotten, and we will remember it forever, just like the Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians, Brazilians and billions of other people worldwide who now fully understood the nature of the enemy oppressing them.
A few days ago, people in Donetsk and Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye declared their support for restoring our historical unity. Thank you! (Applause.)
Western countries have been saying for centuries that they bring freedom and democracy to other nations. Nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of bringing democracy they suppressed and exploited, and instead of giving freedom they enslaved and oppressed. The unipolar world is inherently anti-democratic and unfree; it is false and hypocritical through and through.
Comment: this is not just a rejection of a set of policies from the Obama-Trump-Brandon administrations, this is a rejection of the entire Western civilizational model. Putin says that “the unipolar world is inherently anti-democratic and unfree and false and hypocritical through and through”, he also just explained which powers specifically stand for such a unipolar world. It is not just the Pax Americana or Pax Britannica which Russia rejects, it is the very ideological models which over the centuries have been used to justify the invasion and ransacking of our entire planet during centuries which now Russia openly rejects!
The United States is the only country in the world that has used nuclear weapons twice, destroying the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. And they created a precedent.
Recall that during WWII the United States and Britain reduced Dresden, Hamburg, Cologne and many other German cities to rubble, without the least military necessity. It was done ostentatiously and, to repeat, without any military necessity. They had only one goal, as with the nuclear bombing of Japanese cities: to intimidate our country and the rest of the world.
Comment: the simple and sad truth is that the West is run by thugs. Psychopaths with no empathy or true humanity but monsters whose only true agenda is self-worship and the destruction of human civilization. This has been the case since the Middle-Ages and nothing has changed. If anything, it got worse (at least the original Crusaders did not have nuclear weapons!).
The United States left a deep scar in the memory of the people of Korea and Vietnam with their carpet bombings and use of napalm and chemical weapons.
It actually continues to occupy Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries, which they cynically refer to as equals and allies. Look now, what kind of alliance is that? The whole world knows that the top officials in these countries are being spied on and that their offices and homes are bugged. It is a disgrace, a disgrace for those who do this and for those who, like slaves, silently and meekly swallow this arrogant behaviour.
Comment: here Putin addresses the “voluntary slaves”, those who, like the “proud Poles” are even willing to pay to be occupied by the Anglo masters. This is also a direct reference to the Eurolemmings who have totally sold out to the AngloZionist ruling classes which administer the EU Gaue on behalf of Uncle Shmuel.
They call the orders and threats they make to their vassals Euro-Atlantic solidarity, and the creation of biological weapons and the use of human test subjects, including in Ukraine, noble medical research.
Comment: vassals. That is exactly what the people of the EU are, vassals. In fact, they are so infinitely subservient and so filled with a desire to brown-nose their AngloZionist masters that they are literally willing to commit collective suicide, just to get the approval of President Brandon. Truly, sic transit gloria mundi: from Aryan Master race to subservient vassal in less than a century!
It is their destructive policies, wars and plunder that have unleashed today’s massive wave of migrants. Millions of people endure hardships and humiliation or die by the thousands trying to reach Europe.
They are exporting grain from Ukraine now. Where are they taking it under the guise of ensuring the food security of the poorest countries? Where is it going? They are taking it to the self-same European countries. Only five percent has been delivered to the poorest countries. More cheating and naked deception again.
Comment: remember the “Putin famine” we were promised? No worries, the EU Master race has taken to eat this winter. As for the poor and even starving people wordwide, who cares about them? They were just used as a stage prop to get the grain to the West. Now they can all croak, who cares?
In effect, the American elite is using the tragedy of these people to weaken its rivals, to destroy nation states. This goes for Europe and for the identities of France, Italy, Spain and other countries with centuries-long histories.
Comment: remember my comment about the European countries who are part of the Mediterranean civilizational realm? That is also what Putin is referring to here: Anglos and northern Europeans are as much enemies of a sovereign Russia as they would be to a (entirely hypothetical!) sovereign France, Serbia, Spain, Italy or Greece. The truth which modern history books so assiduously ignore and obfuscate is that the nations of southern Europe were brutally colonized and subjugated. God willing, one day, they will rediscover their real roots and liberate themselves!
Washington demands more and more sanctions against Russia and the majority of European politicians obediently go along with it. They clearly understand that by pressuring the EU to completely give up Russian energy and other resources, the United States is practically pushing Europe toward deindustrialisation in a bid to get its hands on the entire European market. These European elites understand everything – they do, but they prefer to serve the interests of others. This is no longer servility but direct betrayal of their own peoples. God bless, it is up to them.
Comment: Putin spells it out, bluntly and directly: EU leaders are direct traitors to their own people. I could not agree more. Whether the people in Europe still have ears to hear, eyes to say, brains to think and spines to resist I very much doubt.
But the Anglo-Saxons believe sanctions are no longer enough and now they have turned to subversion. It seems incredible but it is a fact – by causing explosions on Nord Stream’s international gas pipelines passing along the bottom of the Baltic Sea, they have actually embarked on the destruction of Europe’s entire energy infrastructure. It is clear to everyone who stands to gain. Those who benefit are responsible, of course.
The dictates of the US are backed up by crude force, on the law of the fist. Sometimes it is beautifully wrapped sometimes there is no wrapping at all but the gist is the same – the law of the fist. Hence, the deployment and maintenance of hundreds of military bases in all corners of the world, NATO expansion, and attempts to cobble together new military alliances, such as AUKUS and the like. Much is being done to create a Washington-Seoul-Tokyo military-political chain. All states that possess or aspire to genuine strategic sovereignty and are capable of challenging Western hegemony, are automatically declared enemies.
These are the principles that underlie US and NATO military doctrines that require total domination.
Comment: this is a binary choice – either world hegemony or a world made up of truly sovereign states whose relationship are guided by the principles and instruments of international law.
Western elites are presenting their neocolonialist plans with the same hypocrisy, claiming peaceful intentions, talking about some kind of deterrence. This evasive word migrates from one strategy to another but really only means one thing – undermining any and all sovereign centres of power.
We have already heard about the deterrence of Russia, China and Iran. I believe next in line are other countries of Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, as well as current US partners and allies. After all, we know that when they are displeased, they introduce sanctions against their allies as well – against this or that bank or company. This is their practice and they will expand it. They have everything in their sights, including our next-door neighbours – the CIS countries.
At the same time, the West has clearly been engaged in wishful thinking for a long time. In launching the sanctions blitzkrieg against Russia, for example, they thought that they could once again line up the whole world at their command. As it turns out, however, such a bright prospect does not excite everyone – other than complete political masochists and admirers of other unconventional forms of international relations. Most states refuse to ”snap a salute“ and instead choose the sensible path of cooperation with Russia.
The West clearly did not expect such insubordination. They simply got used to acting according to a template, to grab whatever they please, by blackmail, bribery, intimidation, and convinced themselves that these methods would work forever, as if they had fossilised in the past.
Comment: indeed, the West never expected such insubordination, not in its worst nightmares. Not only does about 80% of the planet support Russia, even former US allies like the KSA are fed-up with the infinite arrogance and inability to get anything done by the sorry gang of butt-hurt losers who are running the Empire nowadays. Hence the massive freak-out at the Russian SMO, and the desperate scramble to hide, by means of propaganda and PSYOPs, the true nature of the disaster in the Ukraine. What are they capable of doing next? Hug a pillow, sob and call for momma, hopefully. Trigger a nuclear conflict? Yes, for sure. The self-worshiping leaders of the Empire are steeped in a culture of total impunity, they all have gotten away with murder (even literally!) too many times to count. Forget JFK! They even got away with 911. Combine that deep sense of impunity/invulnerability with a rabid and deeply racist hated for all “others” and you see why, alas, a nuclear war is not impossible.
Such self-confidence is a direct product not only of the notorious concept of exceptionalism – although it never ceases to amaze – but also of the real ”information hunger“ in the West. The truth has been drowned in an ocean of myths, illusions and fakes, using extremely aggressive propaganda, lying like Goebbels. The more unbelievable the lie, the quicker people will believe it – that is how they operate, according to this principle.
Comment: lies are not a feature of the Western civilizational realm. Lies are its intellectual cement, that which holds ALL of their “ideologies of the day” together in spite of their quite apparent inhumanity and evil. The West now lives in a “post-truth” society which not only lies and embraces self-evident falsehoods, it is a society which has basically negated the meaning of the word “truth”. Instead, it has come up with a much simpler principle: if it feels good, then it is good. Situational morals, expediency, hypocrisy – call it what you want, we all know what this is: absolute evil.
But people cannot be fed with printed dollars and euros. You can’t feed them with those pieces of paper, and the virtual, inflated capitalisation of Western social media companies can’t heat their homes. Everything I am saying is important. And what I just said is no less so: you can’t feed anyone with paper – you need food; and you can’t heat anyone’s home with these inflated capitalisations – you need energy.
Comment: here Putin seems to have given up on the notion of Europeans having any sense of honor, decency or even basic common sense. He does hope that they have a stomach left somewhere and that one day the European Master races will understand that Uncle Shmuel cannot feed them. And neither does to stock exchange of quantitative easing! As to whether their empty stomachs will be enough to wake them up is anybody’s guess.
That is why politicians in Europe have to convince their fellow citizens to eat less, take a shower less often and dress warmer at home. And those who start asking fair questions like “Why is that, in fact?” are immediately declared enemies, extremists and radicals. They point back at Russia and say: that is the source of all your troubles. More lies.
I want to make special note of the fact that there is every reason to believe that the Western elites are not going to look for constructive ways out of the global food and energy crisis that they and they alone are to blame for, as a result of their long-term policy, dating back long before our special military operation in Ukraine, in Donbass. They have no intention of solving the problems of injustice and inequality. I am afraid they would rather use other formulas they are more comfortable with.
Comment: the US wants to have a war in the Ukraine going on for as long as possible, and to be as bloody as possible. Not only that, but the US is now basically waging a war against the EU which it wants to eliminiate as a competitor and subjugate forever to AngloZionist interests.
And here it is important to recall that the West bailed itself out of its early 20th century challenges with World War I. Profits from World War II helped the United States finally overcome the Great Depression and become the largest economy in the world, and to impose on the planet the power of the dollar as a global reserve currency. And the 1980s crisis – things came to a head in the 1980s again – the West emerged from it unscathed largely by appropriating the inheritance and resources of the collapsed and defunct Soviet Union. That’s a fact.
Now, in order to free itself from the latest web of challenges, they need to dismantle Russia as well as other states that choose a sovereign path of development, at all costs, to be able to further plunder other nations’ wealth and use it to patch their own holes. If this does not happen, I cannot rule out that they will try to trigger a collapse of the entire system, and blame everything on that, or, God forbid, decide to use the old formula of economic growth through war.
Russia is aware of its responsibility to the international community and will make every effort to ensure that cooler heads prevail.
The current neocolonial model is ultimately doomed; this much is obvious. But I repeat that its real masters will cling to it to the end. They simply have nothing to offer the world except to maintain the same system of plundering and racketeering.
Comment: what a perfect definition of capitalism – plundering and racketeering. Let’s not forget that the capitalist system is based on banking which itself is based on usury, something Christianity and Islam categorically forbid (and rabbinical Judaism forbids only towards fellow Jews).
They do not give a damn about the natural right of billions of people, the majority of humanity, to freedom and justice, the right to determine their own future. They have already moved on to the radical denial of moral, religious, and family values.
Comment: it is quite clear that the globohomo ideology is now at the core of “Western values”, with everything that implies. One of the unforgivable crimes of the Russian people is to reject that ideology and to, instead, prefer gender-differentiated parents, manly men and feminine woman. Most Russians don’t care what folks do in their bedrooms, but if asked, most will agree that homosexuality is a psychological disorder or even a perversion. That, in turn, is the ultimate crimethink for the mega-powerful homo-lobby in the West which hates Putin for daring to say such things openly.
Let’s answer some very simple questions for ourselves. Now I would like to return to what I said and want to address also all citizens of the country – not just the colleagues that are in the hall – but all citizens of Russia: do we want to have here, in our country, in Russia, “parent number one, parent number two and parent number three” (they have completely lost it!) instead of mother and father? Do we want our schools to impose on our children, from their earliest days in school, perversions that lead to degradation and extinction? Do we want to drum into their heads the ideas that certain other genders exist along with women and men and to offer them gender reassignment surgery? Is that what we want for our country and our children? This is all unacceptable to us. We have a different future of our own.
Let me repeat that the dictatorship of the Western elites targets all societies, including the citizens of Western countries themselves. This is a challenge to all. This complete renunciation of what it means to be human, the overthrow of faith and traditional values, and the suppression of freedom are coming to resemble a “religion in reverse” – pure Satanism. Exposing false messiahs, Jesus Christ said in the Sermon on the Mount: “By their fruits ye shall know them.” These poisonous fruits are already obvious to people, and not only in our country but also in all countries, including many people in the West itself.
Comment: and now he said it, openly and directly – what Russia is threatened by and struggling against is pure Satanism. If I am not mistaken, that is the first time that Putin ever used such words. And, just to clarify, he does not mean “bad” or “evil” he means it literally: the forces arrayed against Russia today are Satanic in their origin and core. Oh, I know, in the West this reference to “Satanism” will only trigger condescending smiles and, as always, a deep sense of superiority over these primitive, Asiatic, barbarians. But here Putin is not addressing the Western audience, but the Russian one and in the Russian civilizational realm to speak of “pure Satanism” is a very shocking and compelling argument. It brings this entire war into the realm of a “just war” fought for profound spiritual reasons, not just money or power. I personally consider these words as the single most important part of Putin’s speech!
The world has entered a period of a fundamental, revolutionary transformation. New centres of power are emerging. They represent the majority – the majority! – of the international community. They are ready not only to declare their interests but also to protect them. They see in multipolarity an opportunity to strengthen their sovereignty, which means gaining genuine freedom, historical prospects, and the right to their own independent, creative and distinctive forms of development, to a harmonious process.
As I have already said, we have many like-minded people in Europe and the United States, and we feel and see their support. An essentially emancipatory, anti-colonial movement against unipolar hegemony is taking shape in the most diverse countries and societies. Its power will only grow with time. It is this force that will determine our future geopolitical reality.
Comment: here Putin refers to what I call “Zone B” and he gives us all signs of hope that while things look very bad, even frightening, the process which has now been underway since Feb. 24th will not stop at the Ukraine. In fact, the Ukraine is really a side-show to a MUCH bigger and more important struggle: the struggle to free our planet from the last Empire once and for all. As I have mentioned it many times, Russia does not only want to denazify and demilitarize the Ukraine, but all of Europe and, eventually, but inevitably, the entire planet! To those who sincerely believe that Russia is losing this war this will sound totally crazy. Fine. Time will, as always, show :-)
Today, we are fighting for a just and free path, first of all for ourselves, for Russia, in order to leave dictate and despotism in the past. I am convinced that countries and peoples understand that a policy based on the exceptionalism of whoever it may be and the suppression of other cultures and peoples is inherently criminal, and that we must close this shameful chapter. The ongoing collapse of Western hegemony is irreversible. And I repeat: things will never be the same.
Comment: Putin, again, hammers in the same point – we are already way beyond any possibility to return to any status quo ante, that ship has sailed. The world as we know it has begun its “initiation of collapse” (to paraphrase NIST) and there is no stopping it. I very much agree.
The battlefield to which destiny and history have called us is a battlefield for our people, for the great historical Russia. (Applause.) For the great historical Russia, for future generations, our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We must protect them against enslavement and monstrous experiments that are designed to cripple their minds and souls.
Today, we are fighting so that it would never occur to anyone that Russia, our people, our language, or our culture can be erased from history. Today, we need a consolidated society, and this consolidation can only be based on sovereignty, freedom, creation, and justice. Our values are humanity, mercy and compassion.
And I want to close with the words of a true patriot Ivan Ilyin: “If I consider Russia my Motherland, that means that I love as a Russian, contemplate and think, sing and speak as a Russian; that I believe in the spiritual strength of the Russian people. Its spirit is my spirit; its destiny is my destiny; its suffering is my grief; and its prosperity is my joy.”
Comment: that is typical Putin. He likes to drop names of Russian authors and philosophers to indicate to those who will get the hint where his true ideological roots are. This does, of course, create a cognitive dissonance amongst those who do like Putin, but hate Ilyin (or other Russian authors Putin likes to mention) but since I don’t suffer from such dissonance, to me it simply seems to be a case of “Putin being Putin”, a man whose true ideology he has never truly revealed, but about which he has dropped enough hints to those capable of connecting the dots to get a pretty clear image of what Putin really believes. Personally, this only further comforts me in the idea that there is no alternative to Putin and that he deserves my full support.
Behind these words stands a glorious spiritual choice, which, for more than a thousand years of Russian statehood, was followed by many generations of our ancestors. Today, we are making this choice; the citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have made this choice. They made the choice to be with their people, to be with their Motherland, to share in its destiny, and to be victorious together with it.
The truth is with us, and behind us is Russia!
Saker, Glad to have you back. This was Putin’s best speech. It was the best speech by a politician of the century. I especially liked the “Satanist” remark and his referring to Europe as “masochists”. His criticism of USA sounded like the Old Left in USA. But, in the west, his speech will be called fascistic.
I like your comment “what a perfect definition of capitalism-racketeering and plundering”. I ‘m glad to hear you express anti capitalist sentiments.
Framing this racketeering and plundering just within anti-capitalist sentiments is not the whole truth. Maybe this quote can help the understanding of it much better:
“Looking back in history, it must be admitted that these lands are the ancient ancestral lands of the Jewish Khazaria, that is Israel, captured by Kiev’s Rus’ (the ancient state of Russia with the capital in Kiev) in the tenth century. The Slavs are temporary guests on these lands and are subject to eviction. We will return to this territory and build the Great Khazaria – the Jewish state –on these fertile lands the same way as, 50 years ago, we created Israel, squeezing the Palestinians out. Israelis will partially relocate here, and we will drive Slavic cattle out far to the north, beyond Moscow. There will be a small Northern Territory, a reservation with a compact population — a reservation, like Indian reservations in America.” – Rabbi Menahem Mandel Schneerson, a deluded wannabe Messiah, 25 years ago
There is some truth in this I’ve found from other online sources and a book written by a Russian military officer written in 1926.
Thank you so much for the transcript and comments on mister Putin’s speech. I hope many western people wake up and stand behind Putin instead of Satan’s puppets. Luckily the curtains drop each day more and faster. I find it difficult to not hate the puppets and wish them dead. It will not be the solution towards a better species. For that we need more understanding, patience and even love. The puppets will meet their destiny through God.
I completely agree with you!
It’s a lengthy speech and at its core is the news that former areas of the Ukraine which contained predominently ethnic Russians are now part of Russia itself. This means that any attack on them would now be an attack on Russia itself, in which case all hell would break loose. With NATO backed Ukrainian forces approaching them, the inclusion and timing wasn’t a surprise.
“Russia does not only want to denazify and demilitarize the Ukraine, but all of Europe …” I sincerely hope not as there lies WW3 and I don’t believe for one moment that President Putin wants to take on NATO, or NATO take on Russia in open warfare.
Russia is not losing, but it’s not winning either. It’s now bogged down in its own Vietnam and the initial slow advances have been stopped and repelled. Will ‘something happen’, will the Russian bear rally and advance, will … They’re wishes.
The speech I generally agree with and the west, specifically a US led NATO, does need containing. Yet the speech didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know already and contained a summerized version of all the points previously mentioned in speeches. Nothing ‘historical’ in its content for me.
Another comment from an ‘armchair general’ with a soft humanities degree.
– reunifying 20% of its former territory
– commanding an area producing 95% of UKR GDP
– controlling 63% of UKR’s coal reserves &
– increasing its population by ~5million
is “losing”, it will be terrifying for Ukies to witness how Russia “winning” transpires.
The RF is NOT bogged down.
– it started operations outnumbered 3:1
– against Europe’s largest armed forces
– funded, armed & trained, i.e. weaponized by at least 30 national militaries
– who had EIGHT years since the 2014 US-inspired coup to entrench themselves in defensive positions.
– and who use their own civilians as human shields, (which Putin is trying to protect as much as practicable because he views them as members of the Slavic brotherhood.
Drawing the conflict out plays into the RFs’ hands as ‘General Winter’ knocks on the door of ~425 million starving & freezing Europeans which will help focus their minds on the idiocy of remaining satrapies of the US-UK empire (if they have any sense of self-preservation at all)
Or take your pessimism elsewhere.
Well said. Like a hostage drama, the most successful outcome is obtained through patience and long drawnout negotiations. Not the quick fix of kicking in the door and spraying anything that moves with bullets.
You have my vote too :-)
My degrees are not in the Humanities and I’mcertainly not an ‘armchair general’, so no need to get personal. Always a sign that the commentator has run out of persuasive arguments.
I and the very few were the ones shouting ‘do something’ months ago while we were drowned out by the chorus of noise telling us that Ukraine was finished and an outnumbered Russia force would slowly advance through the whole of Ukraine. Already outnumbered and as NATO got more involved, it’s not pessmistic to predict what would happen and did.
But my post above was about this supposedly historic speech. What parts of the speech didn’t you already know? Which parts made you think, ‘well, I didn’t know that until he just told me?
Finally, President Putin has ordered a partial mobilization and has dropped the previous diplomatic terms of western ‘friends’ and colleagues’ and seems to be taking this more seriously, just as I said all along.
It is historic because for the first time in history one man, the president of a great nation stood up and said out in the open: Enough IS Enough. Its over with exceptionalism & hegemony of Anglo-Saxon predators. New, multipolar world is being born as we write these lines. And there’s nothing that can stop it …
Agree. A political speech of this magnitude is not only for the people of that country it’s also a signal to other nation’s of its direction. Putin is putting the global elite and the world’s political forces on notice who determine policy, that you have crossed not only Russia’s Red Line but that of global humanity. This operation is no longer just about denatizfying Ukraine but extending his operation to the world.
True. It looks like the dark monolithic power JFK talked about in a more masked way, took on Russia. Now Russia, with Putin, is taking it down. Exposing it for all to see.
My comment to steps below, should go here. Sorry.
Your data is obviously from western msm. I wasn’t aware anyone still watched or listened to their eternal sanctimonious (read: personalized) drivel.
The numbers presented here at Saker show what a total bloodbath it’s turned into for west and her “allies.” Who’re one by one, turning their allegiance to more truthful sources. Instead of freezing and starving to death for the billionaire globohomos.
There is no need to make a counter point to all that utter msm hocus pocus nonsense.
How is Russia not winning? OPEC just did a production cut and gave the finger to the West. Now the West is trying to bully OPEC. Putin is bringing out the best of the West and exposing for all to see. The West thinks they own the world.
– will the Russian bear rally and advance, will … They’re wishes.
wishes = dreams
The dreraming is on your side. Brits will know NATO Army was disbanded 20 years ago, literally disbanded. Costal forts were shut down, sometimes sold to Russian oligarchs.
There is no NATO Army any more. Can NATO send its army to Ukraine to help Ukraine? No. Ukraine is the NATO army in Ukraine.
What remains of British “Army Corps” is some thousand PCRs from Afghanistan, with reinforced floor against IDEs.
NATO has not been disbanded and that’s the problem. It’s now the strong arm of the US and previously for the past two decades active in the Middle East. NATO is where the arms supplies in the Ukraine are coming from and behind it, the people who master minded the recent offensive. The Ukraine is not in NATO. Where on earth do you get your information from?
The “Cold War Army” was disbanded – around 2000. That is a fact. In some NATO states draft was ended.
Then the new NATO army became expeditionary units – typical special soldiers – that could be dispatched in 3rd world – or Afghanistan, or Iraq, or Libya, or Syria,
(Special soldiers are trained in assassinating people. We may call them a Satanic army, as most then them risk being summary executed)
It was the Chechen commander who first stated in the Russian newsroom, “We are fighting the Great Satan”. I’m glad Putin has echoed that sentiment. That is indeed what Russia is up against.
Have read this speech on several channels. What I particularly like are the comments. Here in eastern Germany, large parts of the population do not agree with the policies of this “government”. Many see it as a vassal government, which I think is true. Unfortunately, however, we are a minority in Germany. In the west of this vassal state, people tick differently. 70 years of occupation and uninterrupted sound reinforcement by the media have done the rest. Unfortunately, I am not sure whether large sections of the population in Western Europe and Germany are even willing to wake up to force change. This will likely not happen until it’s too late. As you know, hope dies at the end.
Welcome back, Andrei; you’ve been missed. I have family in Florida (in an area hit less hard than yours), and am hoping for the best for all.
I am particularly pleased to see President Putin name the forces presently in control of the Western nations for what they actually are: Satanist. It’s been said that the Devil’s greatest trick is convincing people he doesn’t exist. Which I consider a metaphor for forgetting that there is evil in this world, and it is our never ending task to be aware, alert, and resist its encroachments into our minds, hearts and lives. The real problem in the modernist West is that this truth has been forgotten. It must be remembered, or we are all truly doomed.
Btw, for any who missed it: Today was Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s 70th birthday. Born October 7, 1952 in St. Petersburg (temporarily Leningrad): Libra native, Scorpio Ascendant, Gemini Moon, Water Dragon Year. That this event was not celebrated with massive military parades etc. is another reason why I like this man. (He did get a nice tractor from Lushenko, according to RT.) May the Good Lord bless and keep him.
С Днем Рождения, Владимир Владимирович! (Hope I got this right, via Яандекс).
I too took notice of the lack of military presence throughout the speech. He is also a great statesman aware of everything. If you noticed at the 7:38 mark he straightened his tie after the applause but no time afterwards. The first time to correct it; at no other time to call further attention to it. Power is not only conveyed by words but stature. I noticed no one in the crowd nodding their heads, smiling, or talking to one another. To me, a signal of respect to the words and power of Putin’s position.
As a person of mixed race, proud of both my mother and father roots, it was far easier for me to escape/comprehend the destructive forces who would exploit, divide & conquer, for personal gain.
Those around me, not so much, whether through wilful ignorance or vested interest.
Finally, after decades of frustration, a proper Stateman and country have fired a nuclear weapon into the belly of beast, the anti-Christ’s debt-based slave system. Billions of people will view this as an opportunity to ally with Russia, forcing the hand (or throat) of their would-be leaders/governments.
Very emotional, even as a non-Russian, listening and watching from the first second and building up to the crescendo (with a bonus elucidation from Andrei).
PS. Was thinking about your current travails Andrei, and although it must be a nightmare, it’s something you’ll pull through and come out the stronger for; thank God it came after your much needed sabbatical.
Yes, indeed. It is like God hardened me before Ian came…
Glory be to God for all things!
America and West is Satan.
We both heard same thing , what
I heard, and I agree, living here.
this comment has been flagged as of little/no value (possibly troll) by the saker
Beautifull words..but zero action, zero retaliation.
“Zero” since February ! Are you sure about that? Putin is visibly changing the world. Nor is at a snails pace. The
Western elite are well aware of the effectiveness and competence of Putin, hence the propaganda and force they have lined up against him
War is on, At this very moment, Russian territory is being attacked by Ukraine. In fact, Ukrainian soldiers are in control of certain areas in Russia. Putin once said that there will be no more wars on Russian territory. Therefore maybe Russia should immediately carpet bomb Kiev and Lvov. Maybe Russia should knockout all electrical grids throughout Ukraine. Maybe Russia should use their sophisticated weapons against the Ukie Nazis in Avdviivka so that they can no longer bomb civilians in Donetsk. Maybe Russia should not offer to negotiate with entities that are not capable of negotiating.
After I wrote the above comment, I questioned myself and thought that maybe my comment reflected impatience on my part. But after today’s Kerch Bridge Attack, I see that I was correct in having a sense of urgency.
In light of this terrorist attack on Russia, Russia must act decisively.
It’s only natural that citizens who belong to Russia, would be overly sensitive when military issues, aka the Crimean Bridge is damaged, but think about the incredible weight that President Putin is carrying:
He is in charge of both the military AND the gigantic task of cementing financial/diplomatic efforts throughout all of Eurasia, much of China, Iran, some of Middle Eastern, Indonesia, and Latin American nations. He is also maintaining dialogue with EU leaders even though we are not privy to those communications.
If you read the latest article with the Economist, Dr. Hudson’s at Unz.Review explaining what is required to solidify a whole new financial system ABSENT of the US$$$ System, you would better appreciate President Putin.
After all, it took decades for the US Financial System to fully develop. The World Bank, the IMF, the balance of payment system and a host of other mechanisms were required for a fully functioning $$$ Hegemon.
President Putin & Chinese, and other leaders are working very hard in setting up this new system that EXCLUDES the jaws of the US$$$.
We can not even imagine the pressure that President Putin and other non-western leaders are under.
The US Financial System is well known in bribing many nation’s leaders and their wealthy elite into the predatory claws of the US$$ system.
Please consider All of these factors………………God be with all those brave non-western leaders.
There is a saying, don’t interrupt your enemy as he is making a mistake.
Bravo, bravo, Andrei. An excellent ‘reading’ of VV Putin’s speech. I am full of admiration — and I say this most sincerely — for a man who can calm his mind, gather his thoughts and put them on paper cogently so soon after such a harrowing experience thrown his way by Hurricane Ian.
I’ve nothing much to add save to say that for me the most powerful, telling, and crystallising paragraph of VVP’s unusually blunt and explicit speech, more so than the one in Munich in 2007 by a mile, is ‘Let me repeat that the dictatorship of the Western elites targets all societies, including the citizens of Western countries themselves … religion in reverse — pure Satanism.’ All at once this shows Putin’s view of the West, specifically the Western elites and their helpers, as being the agents of the Antichrist, a view also frequently articulated by Ramzan Kadyrov, perhaps the best known member of Russia’s community of believers of another ‘Abrahamic’ religion.
After this speech, is there any doubt that as far as the Russian leadership is concerned, the Ukraine is just the beginning, and not the be-all and end-all, of Russia’s mighty struggle against the diabolical forces arrayed against it?
Good to have you back. Please don’t overstress yourself!
THE Speech of the Millenium, for the new Millenium.
Putin is a messenger of truth, and serves it on a silver platter for the world to heed.
We’re going through a thousand year change, and all men of Good will are with Russia against Babylon.
I think the biggest surprise for the Elite, was to what degree Russia and the rest of the world had prepared for the economic assault that came. The others managed to flip the game, resulting in the west excluding themselves from the world. Totally inverse of the expected outcome.
Where I live in this Babylon, the secret police have recently publicly stated that talk about ‘Treason’ might be a sign of extremism. Gives you an idea of what’s going on, and the fears of the elite.
Nice work, welcome back!
Meanwhile, the main stream media is reporting that Biden is fretting about where is Putin’s “off ramp.”
To me it sounds a bit delusional. Maybe the media should be asking where is Biden’s off ramp.
Unfortunately, all I can see is some very tough times for the world ahead.
Bidens off ramp is obviously off the cliff. Not fit for MSM coverage.
At this point, all the western world has left are emotional appeals, aka propaganda, to further their agenda. Biden, others are trying to assert that Russia will use nuclear weapons by twisting the truth to Russia will strike first. I think he has stated he will use them but only after an initial strike on Russia. As an example, the NIH has bought anti-radiation pills not for their national stockpile but to leave in place with the distributor for rapid deployment. I ask you, if nuclear strikes occur in those urban locations what good will they be. This is strictly a fear campaign to rally opinion behind the decision to support Ukraine.
While on the subject of nuclear strike; there is a saying in the orient, whenever someone points a finger, look at where the other fingers are pointing. It thus goes to say, Biden is accusing of Russia getting ready to use nuclear weapons, when in reality it may well be Biden who is preparing to use them. A nuclear “accident” at that nuclear plant under Russian control that is under siege would already be damming enough. What pscychos are so crazy to be actually bombing the place?; simply “demonic.”
Good point. It is worrisom how early on in the conflict Empire started takling about tactical nukes.
To me it looks plan A was regime change in Russia aided by the war in Ukraine. Plan B seems to be a first strike. Or as ‘Elensky said after correction, a “Preventive Kick”.
So happy you safe and sound and glad you are back.
Thank you for editing the speech excellent I’ve been waiting for your exposition.
Yes, I admire greatly Putin even more after this speech. This is the third time I read through plus I was actually able to watch the speech with English captioning.
And I though tonight, Oh my goodness he sounds like a kindred spirit.
This Vladimir Putin may God raise him up to lead us to victory against the wicked who threaten all that God has given us.
So then, I honestly do pray that God will give him favor and power with men.
He gives not only hope to Russia but he is currently providing hope for all who are suffering under the dictates of present US regime.
Fine analysis of a truly historical speech.
Two points. First, conventional bombing of civilians in cities is just something everybody does. Nobody has the moral high ground on that one. Second, the speech is clearly West-facing and does not address the only nation to ever conquer Russia from one end to the other — the Huns.
Glad you are back. An excellent analysis of Mr. Putin’s awesome speech. It is certainly true, the Western false flag terror attacks, the mutilation of children so Big pharma can sell more drugs, the promotion of LGBT values, the West has become openly Satanic. The banksters in charge of the west are openly nihilistic and self-destructive.People taht live in the west must oppose our evil imperialist governments to save our selves and the rest of the world from these Satanists.
I think I saw one typo. This is a wonderful analysis. Thank you for making the effort.
Dear Saker… hope that your disaster recovery is speedy and that you and your family have the strength and courage to cope.
And in the midst of all this you found the energy to provide a masterful commentary of President Putin’s historic speech.
Thank you and blessing from down under.
I had already read this, but your highlighting and comments are helpful and interesting.
Longtime reader, but I never comment as I’m not well-informed enough to add much to the discussion. HOWEVER, I know the difference between the clang of bullcrap and the ring of truth, which is why I bother to read this blog. Andrei doesn’t give himself any credit, but he and Pepe are the reason I come here.
Anyway, great speech by Putin, this is one for the ages. As an American, I’m okay with suffering so that others can do better, Glory to God For All Things. I understand my country’s economy is boosted by taking from others. If I must decrease for others to increase…so be it.
President Putin is all things to all men and women. If not for a few hundred psychopaths he’d be revered in every country, in every continent. Maybe the ‘syndicate/s’ who operate the charities and NGOs would lose that racket/funding. Charities (The Clinton Foundation’s windfall from the Haiti Disaster Fund springs to mind) are not only a big money spinner for them, but they also sink their claws into the Intelligence Services and Ruling Class and Civil Society to begin plotting their regime change.
If a country’s wealth wasn’t siphoned off by the Western Financial Parasites, with all those maggot enablers directing the traffic, then there would be no need for developing countries to require ‘We Own You Now’ IMF/World Bank loans where the Principal Loan never fades but Interest payments soar, AKA, Debt Trap. They are in kind asking the Sovereign to finance their theft, crazy.
CIA-MI6 shipping arms to groups/militias in Northern and Southern Nigeria is the sure-fire way to destabilise while fisting their lubricant products out the back door. The more lube the smother the ride in a never-ending reach around. Looks like France’s Big Party in West Africa is about to be broken up. Hell, if the Saudis get protection from SCO/Allies the Israelis/Americans would see their Iranian regime change plans and endless supply/profits from sales of WMDs to the Emiratis end.
NO, we can’t have peace, peace is utopian. Now chaos, that’s our bread an’ butter pudding with cream on top.
Thousands of chess moves have been meticulously planned over decades to arrive at this point and the trolls want to focus on a withdrawal from an organised withdrawal from Liman, hmm. Millions have been genocided/ displaced in America’s funded War on Terror, ask the Iraqis, Yemenis, Syrians, Africans. Bringing the Cartel to heel, paraphrasing VV Putin, is already a done deal. Russia and China and Allies now hope that the Serpent dies as gracefully and as quietly as possible and isn’t determined to go out in a blaze.
Remember these psychopaths are EVIL, have embraced the Grim Reaper, and won’t relinquish the goose that lays the golden egg even if it means training goosestepping Nazis or releasing Dr Bioweapon Frankenstein.
For months I’ve warned about the lack of acceptable security in the Russian frontline territories. And now tonight there has been an explosion on the Crimean bridge. It’s thought a hidden undetected bomb exploded a fuel truck on the bridge and its now knocked out of service. The anger is starting to rise among Russians already. This will only push that level of anger higher.I’m going to guess this was timed for Putin’s birthday today.
yes uncle bob, such a prize to hit. such a delicious target with huge PR and escalation. while looking there go hit a siberian tanker or something. RF has to get serious and respond here, the time for measured nothing is over. neocons dirty tricks are never ending , can anyone take these hits waiting for the economic coĺlapse.
If Russia doesn’t respond forcefully, it will mean hat this whole Ukraine conflict has been WEF theatre.
Russia must level Kiev to the ground.
No more talk.
Not Kiev, or any Russian city (those who don’t feel Russian, one way ticket will be provided).
Cabal’s objective is destruction of Russian lives and property, anywhere on the planet.
What needs to be leveled is warsaw, berlin, paris, london, just to get the shit going.
The mother of all projects, is to bring death and destruction to the lands of Satan.
Anarchist, Sounds ambitious but I’m all in. When it comes to the lands of delusion, there can be no such thing as too much destruction, for nothing there is of any value.
First, Russia has to Acknowledges publicly that it is NATO who is conducting war against Russia.
As long as the enemy is not clearly identified, Russia can’t retaliate in a logic way.
It is NATO who sank Moskva, sabotaged the NS-1 and NS-2, and has now sabotaged the Crimean Bridge.
Regarding the Moskva: The missile came from NATO nation Norway, was transported via other NATO nations to NATO Nation Romania, and was fired by NATO supervisors with NATO satellite support.
So who is the attacker? NATO.
Regarding the NS pipelines: The lines were sabotaged in NATO nations EE zones, By NATO helicopters, NATO ROV units, NATO Poseidon Airplanes, NATO GPS systems, planed and coordinated by NATO Brass.
Regarding the Crimea Bridge: The Bridge was sabotaged by NATO operatives and collaborators. The operation was conducted by NATO supervisors using NATO satellite surveillance.
Next, Russia has to acknowledge that even she is vulnerable to sabotage from within, by NATO collaborators.
How could NATO know:
That Russia does not conduct searches of Truck transports going to the Crimea Bridge.
That the train would stop and burn on the Bridge, when hit by an explosion from a Truck in the Road lanes.
That the island Crimea and the train to Crimea is powered by electricity running on the Bridge.
That this specific Train was powered by electricity instead of Diesel.
How could NATO time the Explosion in the Truck with the bypass of the train on the bridge?
Answer: NATO collaborators.
NATO is attacking Russia, period! So stop pretending otherwise.
The current approach by Kremlin is demoralizing the Russian populations, it Forces, and its Western supporters, while embolden NATO warmongers and its Zionist supporters.
When Russia acknowledges these facts, she can prevent Sabotage and retaliate intelligently.
Shut off the remaining Russian Oil and Gas supply going to NATO Nations.
Russia must end all trade with NATO nations.
Cut off all Power supply going west across the Dniepr River.
Bomb all power stations in western Ukraine.
Bomb all Rail infrastructures inside Ukraine where they run toward NATO Nations.
Bomb the Bridges going across the Dniepr River.
Bomb Government headquarters in Lviv and Kiev.
Third, Russia has to make NATO Nations hate any form of sabotage of infrastructure, otherwise the sabotage of Russian infrastructure by NATO will continue and even get worse.
If Sabotage were to hit the Bakhmut Oil pipeline, the Europipe gas line, The Baltpipe gas line, The Great Belt Bridge, the Beskidy tunnel, The Starlink Satelite, or any other critical infrastructure for NATO nations, then the moral and support within NATO nations would quickly drop to zero.
“This is a strange game. The only way of winning is not playing.”
And how do you propose avoiding an inteligence based Terrorist attack like this ? Blow up Langley ?
I’ll answer you by showing what is a common feeling spreading throughout Russia:
By Sasha Kots :
On February 24, they were afraid to stick their nose out into the street. Now they are photographed on the streets of Kyiv against the background of a poster with a burning Crimean bridge. The West applauds the Ukrainian terrorists.
Obviously, the NATO command took part in the development of this sabotage. Everything fits into the plan, which ukroreyh has been implementing since mid-summer. Attacks on warehouses, headquarters, preparation of reserves, transition to active offensive operations. Destruction of transport logistics. Their next steps are also obvious and accurately spelled out by Evgeny Poddubny. The goal is to cut our group. A blow to Kherson and beyond.
What is our answer?
We have given up the initiative and are now responding to their attacks and threats.
What is our plan?
All this “game of humanism” is perceived as weakness and is just an excuse to mock us.
For the “Western world” we are already villains. It’s better to be afraid than mocked.
It’s time to answer. By all means and means.
It’s time to remember to advise military school and act decisively and creatively. Not following the enemy’s script, but breaking their plans, delivering unexpected strikes in directions where the enemy does not wait.
Ukraine must be plunged into dark times. Bridges, dams, railways, thermal power plants and other infrastructure facilities must be destroyed throughout Ukraine.
There should be no administrative quarters in both Kyiv and Lvov. And not only.
The reaction of the West should not go unanswered. And these are not statements from the Foreign Ministry. Not calling ambassadors. And not loud statements.
Specific economic measures.
Lenin was right: “The war must be waged for real, or it must not be waged at all. There can be no middle ground.”
And if someone has not yet understood this, then they should be replaced by those who clearly and clearly understand that the Fatherland is in danger. And the orders of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief must be carried out. Unquestioningly. And definitely.
The country must move to a military footing.
Federal DefenseCommittee, Smersh.
Everything for the front.
Everything for the Victory.
Ukraine is sacrificing their last men and machines for temporary land and PR. Russia preserves their men and machines, by temporary giving away land. They’re using their stategic depth. At some point, from being numerically around parity, they can turn around and push the Ukrainians back with a numerical superiority. It’s better on your men to crush the enemy, than to fight a drawn out even battle. It’s a winning strategy, although it seems to generate panic among some bystanders.
“Intelligence based Terrorist attack”
No this is a coordinated attack by the combined NATO Machine.
Every NATO Nations Government, military units, intelligence agency, National institutions, Tele and Internet operator, big corporations and news media is handed over to be used by the Brass in Langley USA.
Langley or the Ramstein Base can even fire a missile from say Polish artillery, without the Officer in charge of the Polish unit has to be involved, or can do anything to stop it.
Political Agents in NATO Nations have surrendered their Nations sovereignty and military command to NATO.
So the way for Russia to counter this war Machine is to be vigilant and control all aspects of its territory.
And that is impossible in Russia, which only has a population of 70 million People. Besides, all digital information, like camera, message, or data can be spied on, by Langley, so Russia must secure such information regarding its vital infrastructures.
If the US enters into war the current President must stay in office until the war is over.
That is why Putin is trying to postpone a direct confrontation with NATO until after Nov 8 2022.
Thus I do not recommend to Blow up Langley.
If a regime change in America doesn’t succeed by voting, then winter may sway a large part of the western populations to make regime change, by other means.
It’s only a midterm election, biden is elected for office until 2024, so the precidency will not change soon.
I think King Winter will sort things out in the West, when people sitt hungry and cold in the dark staring at a dead phone without connection … things will change. There will be some tough questions to answer for the ‘leaders’.
No wonder they are praying for war.
Glad the Saker is back and sincerely hope everything will be fine for you and your family after the hurricane. Those who worry too much about the ongoing war in Ukraine, criticizing Russian strategy … must remember that there is a much bigger war running exactly parallel to SMO and also a very critical one happening in Syria. This is not to say that of course Russia must defeat the neonazis sooner or later. The bigger war which will dismantle and defeat the satanic empire is on the global economic front and the US-dollar system. May be it’s possible for the Russian Army to defeat the neonazis quickly through sheer military force, but having a defeated Ukraine on her western borders wouldn’t actually end the Anglosaxon’s and their zionist collaborators’ satanic moves against the rest of the world. A recent post in the Unz Review Michael Hudson: A Roadmap to Escape the West’s Stranglehold by Pepe Escobar and Michael Hudson, explains it very well.
It was a speech I’ve waited my adult life for any politician in a position to do something about it, anywhere to deliver. Perhaps Zapatiata Subcommandant Marcos was the last equivalent voice that comes to mind and though they both made many similar points in calling out what was aligned against them, it was the gravitas that Putin has per his position that marks the possibility of a real pivot. Being aware of the background of American and European dark history up to the present deep state control and interference is a recipe for a whole maelstrom of horrible feelings for anyone with a conscience, and the sheer blatant repetition of lies against the people who have stood against it in history is a similar concoction of self poison. To be aware and to witness what was said, that an end to that tyranny of unelected rulership disguised as “$$$ freedom and demcracy$$”is a great moment. Putin does an incredible job reconciling left and right issues like nothing else I’ve ever seen. This speech underlines the reality that these issues are artificially exaggerated to position people against each other internally while both sides busy arguing are getting fleeced. I sadly concurr that the possibility of nuclear war is not much of an extension from an entity that would assassinate its own president and perpetrate 9/11 on itself to launch wars that killed over a million other people. Human life is scary to megalomaniacs in a “Hell is other people kind” of antihumanism. Because, if enough people see the patterns of their behavior, it will be forced to come to an end. Only if enough people are left.
This attack on the Crimean Bridge. Which was/is more than a bridge,it was a symbol of Russia’s ability to overcome problems quickly and completely. Now this strike is being seen as a Ukie victory all over the world. And doing it on Putin’s birthday is rubbing salt in the wound. I can’t even overstate how horrible this is in public opinion worldwide. And this time unlike with the Moskva there is video evidence saturating the internet as I type.Every Russian,pro-Russian,and especially every anti-Russian site is featuring the pictures and videos of the explosion and the bridge burning in the night sky. It’s horrendous PR for Russia.
It should be obvious that NATO and the Ukies came up with a plan to bypass the need for long-range HIMAR missiles and do what they are good at,terrorist bombings. So far reports are that Putin has ordered a commission to be formed to investigate it. Yes,I’m fully aware of how bad that sounds to people. There needs to be a full overhaul of security in Russia. And full accountability for those not able to do their duties. As well as the immediate taking the gloves off in dealing with the NATO and Ukie terrorists. Anything less I’m afraid is going to risk the support in Russia, not for the war. That isn’t going away. But the support for those in charge may be a different matter entirely.
Maybe after this commission investigates the Kerch Bridge bombing, they can send their findings to the UN and have them investigate further. And then if the UN finds evidence that suggests the Ukraine did it, the UN can ask Ukraine not to do it again.
The UN is severely compromised and largely in the pocket of the U$.
Black Cloud, I was being sarcastic.
Yeah, the timing really sucks. There is going to be huge pressure for Putin to react. At the same time, there is that all important vote at the UN on Wednesday next week. That is the one where Russia is asking for secret voting. That vote has the potential to upend the cart on the US and its Western allies.
Currently, Putin has shown himself to be the adult in the room. Hopefully he can see this terrorist act retaliation to past the UN vote That is five days away. An eternity in the days of the internet.
Well Bob, it’s still early (about eight hours after the incident as I write) so no need to get our knickers in a twist.
Russia’s prestige has been somewhat dented, for sure, and Mikhail Podolyak, one of Zelensky’s advisers, is gloating on social media but I think the Ukraine’s ‘victory’ is only seen that way in the West.
True to form the Ukraine has done something stupid all for the sake of PR and headlines in Western MSM; and it is going to pay for the stunt.
Will Russian morale be diminished by this strike? Will they lose the will to fight? Will support for Putin drop? Nope. On the contrary, the Kremlin will be besieged by calls to get tougher with the Ukraine — understandably so since a national symbol and source of pride has been attacked in Russia itself. The Kremlin will be hard-pressed to refuse the Russian public’s demand for a forceful response. The Ukraine has in fact handed the Kremlin — were they so inclined to use it — a carte blanche to attack Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, tit for tat, and much more. The gloating Ukrainian Nazis have just poked a hornet’s nest without realising it, and people like Podolyak shouldn’t be surprised if an Iskander missile were to land on the roof of his office while he’s having coffee.
Well cobalt, lets not try and underplay this attack. Besides the damage to the bridge and the loss of Russian civilian lives (3 so far,not counting anyone in the truck itself). The loss of face is a disaster. No,it isn’t just in the West this is seen as a Ukie win. Try reading reports and comments from inside Russia and you will see that.
Your right,as I said in my comment, that the war won’t lose support. People are more and more convinced that the war must be fought to total victory. It’s the damage to people’s faith in the leadership of the war that is the question. There is already a great amount of “unease” within large and growing numbers of Russians. And the lack of security control that this attack highlights even further is a bad problem that must be addressed.Whether it will be,and if so,how it will be.Will determine, how much the Russian people will continue their faith in the government or not.Strong measures must be taken to solve the security issues (just one of which is how a huge amount of explosives was able to be gotten together inside Russia. A truck acquired, and the plot conducted without being found out. A massive blackeye for the security services). And harsh measures need to be taken against the nazi Ukrainian regime. The Russian FM is saying this highlights the terrorist nature of the Ukie regime. That’s well and good, but that means if this is a terrorist regime, why are they not labeled and treated as such. Questions being asked today in Russia. There needs to be good answers given to that.
“Residents of Kyiv positively evaluate stories about “goodwill gestures”, “red lines”, “decision-making centers”, “calls for negotiations” and other beautiful-hearted surroundings of the NWO.”
“There is already a great amount of “unease” within large and growing numbers of Russians”
Could you perhaps say where you obtained this information and the counting methods use;. also what proportion of the population expressed as % per head of population this amounts to, who are expressing unease??
Yesterday (or the day before) there was a report of a survey in Russia: “Do you support the SMO?”
60% support it without any reservation or doubt.
30% support, but with some “pros and cons”.
The rest was divided between “don’t know” and “against”.
I guess that among the 30% is a lot of people that want “the gloves off”.
Contrary to Western propaganda, Russia is not a police state but a functioning democracy. Elected officials in the Kremlin and other parts of the government respect and obey Russia’s laws. They go by the book. The security services do not poke their noses everywhere — and carrying out extra-judicial stuff along the way, — and Putin is not a dictator.
Putin has just decreed that the FSB should henceforth be in charge of security of the Kerch bridge including water-borne traffic below it.
Check Tass, RT.
That said, one shouldn’t be surprised if terrorist cells do get through the security net, just like the IRA, Tamil Tigers, ISIS, MEK, ETA, Abu Sayyaf, Naxalites, etc did, and score some success. I’m pretty sure the Ukraine/Nato have reactivated a plan similar to Gladio once the SMO started.
We’re on the same side Bob but I really think you should stop being alarmist — it betrays a lingering suspicion on your part that the Russian leadership is somehow incompetent, out of touch, and doesn’t have a coherent plan.
I think Russia being seen as a victim of a Terror attack by the Empire, creates sympathy in Zone B.
It may boost the psychos who think they are winning in Zone A, but it is the reaction in Zone B that matters.
This is the first I’m reading of this attack. I agree that Russia needs to do something, but planning first, critical thinking first, not knee jerk reactions. It will be European men with no training conscripted into war. It will be the European continent that is devastated. Sure, the US will send forces, they view as expendable (vaccine injured per DoD report), but the land of America will stand apart from it intact. Strategy and planning wins the war, not emotional reactions.
I don’t see it as “…a Ukie victory all over the world.” And can say with good certainty the vast majority here don’t either.
Instead, it’s looking more like a death rattle from a dying snake. Or like “hammering the last nail in one’s own coffin” so-to-speak.
Don’t kid yourself: Russia has all the most important features of this clown show “dialed in” already and is simply waiting for the precise moment to turn the lights out. Placing Ukraine back into the stone ages. Permanently.
It’s best to hope it’s not the straw that breaks the camel’s back, instead of furthering the embellishments.
A fantastic speech and an amazing, insightful commentary. I’m halfway through but had to say something. I’m sure I’ll think of many things to discuss, wonder about, etc and will wish I had waited but it must be said just how good this post is. Thank you saker.
For years I have been saying to my children that the ‘Satanic Agenda’ or antihuman ideology is the core platform of the intelligentsia in the UK. Truly, they are not intelligentsia, but trash midwits who are traitors to their own species.
V V Putin is the greatest man of our time. I have known this for 20 years, and I am English. There is no excuse for Russians who do not understand this. He, with the help of great people, saved Russia from disintegration. His slow game gave her energy independence, food security, a stable birthrate, high pensions, internal infrastructure development, and the means to defend herslf from the USA. To see him sitting with young Russian students is a pure joy.
So, Happy Birthday Vladimir Vladimirovitch, and long live Russia!
Thanks Saker. I hope things improve for you and your family over the coming days.
Glad you are able to serve us so promptly. One can only perceive one’s strength in adversity. Several times a day, for all these days, I opened Saker to find out about your situation and all these times I wished you and your family the best possible.
…” Exposing false messiahs, Jesus Christ said in the Sermon on the Mount, “By their fruits you will know them.” These poisonous fruits are already obvious to people, and not only in our country but also in all countries, including many people in the West itself.”…
The majority of Jewish people and Catholic people are slaves who, like cattle for slaughter and for centuries, follow their Zion-Nazi satanic masters. Goebels had his forerunners who always knew how to make good use of the lie repeated a thousand times and also of this facet of pride… ” One of the saddest lessons of history is the following: if we are deceived for a long time, our tendency is to avoid any evidence of deception. We are no longer interested in discovering the truth. Deception has imprisoned us. It is simply too painful to admit, even to ourselves, that we were deceived.” Carl Sagan.
Selfishness and pride are at the root of all human ills.
“…the papacy broke away from the Christian world in 1054, adopted the (totally megalomaniacal) papal dictates in 1075, and launched its first crusade in 1096.” The empire of lies, of bloodthirsty murderers, of psychopaths to the maximum degree, of the infinitely scoundrels, has always had valuable humans in its path. For over a millennium now, Russia has not shied away from its painful mission.
For the sake of all humanity… Victory for Russia!!! Victory to all men of good will!!!
Away from the propaganda from either side, here’s my take on it so far.
Starting at a big numerical disadvantage didn’t matter so much in the beginning as a professional Russian army fought a third rate Ukrainian one, bolstered by a few Neo-Nazi batallions. The early successes were predictable, but I have a sneaking suspicion that President Putin now regrets not having flattened Kiev when he had the chance, along with Zelensky and his cronies. Not doing so enboldened NATO who saw it as a sign of weakness.
However, as all this dragged on the advance slowed as NATO threw in more advisers, mercenaries and heavy modern weapons and the disadvantage started to show. The reality is that Russia recently suffered a serious and predictable military setback that was all to obvious from those taking an independent stance and not caught up in the GUNG-HO mentality. Political speeches by politicians don’t cancel that out.
Looking back, it seems almost unbelievable that anyone would consider the General staffs of 30 NATO countries as incompetent, or a retreat in the recent offensive as a victory. Anyone suggesting otherwise was shouted down by the blind faith believers who now try to find excuses for the recent retreat.
Russia originally invaded the Ukraine to de-Nazify the forces who were attacking ethnic Russians and to create a buffer zone against an advancing NATO on Russia’s borders. It’s why the Russian forces fell back to the east and south having reached Kiev in two days at the beginning. Not because they were defeated at Kiev as per MSM nonsense, but because they had no intention of conquering the whole of the Ukraine.
The comments of conquering the whole of Ukraine and then going on to de-Nazify Europe is nonsense. Ukraine is the only European country that has state sponsored Nazis in its armed forces.
In my younger days, before many of you now shouting the loudest were born, I stood with the B.A.O.R as part of NATO facing the Soviets and don’t regret that. However, given recent events in the Middle East and the obvious desire to destroy a now democratic developing Russia, I’m totally against western politicians and NATO as they seek to enforce a US hegemony. I’m with Russia on this one, but as a realist without the fantasies or propaganda so often visible.
The alliance of MI6, the CIA and the Banderites by Thierry Meyssan
There is a video near the end on the NATO armies Centuria society – have a look and think again about Nazi’s in armies.
Maybe you came across such at B.A.O.R ?
The concept of “CIA” as “American” is as true as “WEF” is “American. “DEM” is not working for “CIA”.
“‘I Don’t Want That Pipeline Operational’: GOP Sen. Presses Witness On Nord Stream 2”
(Here we understand there have been a closed session where the real American agenda has been discussed. Then we have the open session where Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) try to convince Media Nord Stream 2 is about defaulting Russia, not Germany)
Bottomline: Nuland and Sen. Ron Johnson is fooling us.
My interpretation of above Senate session is Ukraine war has been decided in closed sessions. Then Germany had agreed to close Nord Stream 2 once a Russian-Ukrainian war was a fact [what was the plan at this point]
I think far too many are grasping at conspiracy theories to explain recent events. For those who remember what are now known as ‘the bad years’ (1990’s) of Yeltsin and his opening Russia to western privatization and plunder, that’s what western politicians want a return to. President Putin stopped it and the west never forgave him.
The western control of Russia’s wealth and natural resources, predominently energy supplies is behind all this. Leave the Nazis, zionists and secret cabals plotting in the White House basement to the Internet conspiracy theorists.
I’m afraid the obvious unwillingness to look at that Centuria video is wilful self-imposed ignorance.
To try to claim here that Bandera was not funded by the CIA and MI6, means you believe 6 impossible things before breakfast as the Queen told Alice.
Could it be that Centuria video exposes some of your NATO comrades-in arms, loyalty an’ all that?
– … his opening Russia to western privatization and plunder,
Putin does not support left liberalism (what RT or Hudson represent), but market economy.
Whether privatization is good for economy is a question of what is being moved to market economy. North Korea has privatized everything that belong to small businesses Africa would collaps without capitalism. In Sub-Sahara Africa state as we know it is basically missing.
Asia Teacher is correct there – Yeltsin and Gorbachev did open Russia to rabid looting called shock therapy, by Jeffrey Sachs and co. then.
Putin’s economics is documented in Glazyev’s books, speeches, Telegram and glazev.ru.
Who knows what RT thinks or even Hudson mean – their words mean what they say they mean, no more no less, as Humpty told Alice.
In the 90-ties the Khazars (now they called themselves Liberals) again took over politics, after having been out of power since 1953-coup.
The Bolsheviks in the 20-ties and the Liberals in the 90-ties had same goal, to rob the Slavs.
– but I have a sneaking suspicion that President Putin now regrets not having flattened Kiev when he had the chance
WWII time: Before Hitler had bombed anything but military targets the Brits bombed residential Berlin. Today we can conclude the allies goal was a total war. The allies wanted Hitler to bomb civilian Brits.
Harry Truman, “If we see that Germany is winning we ought to help Russia and if Russia is winning we ought to help Germany and that way let them kill as many as possible, although I don’t want to see Hitler victorious under any circumstances “
– The Yalta Conference took place in a Russian resort town in the Crimea from February 4–11, 1945,
At that time the president was Roosevelt, not Truman.
The previous British King wrote to Hitler to bomb Britain :
‘Edward VIII’s treachery is mind-boggling’: Viewers of Britain’s Traitor King question ‘why Duke of Windsor wasn’t executed for treason’ after he told Nazis to keep bombing England during WWII
Not known yet what the current King is capable of – a family tradition, you know?
” Starting at a big numerical disadvantage didn’t matter so much in the beginning as a professional Russian army fought a third rate Ukrainian one, bolstered by a few Neo-Nazi batallions. The early successes were predictable, but I have a sneaking suspicion that President Putin now regrets not having flattened Kiev when he had the chance, along with Zelensky and his cronies. ”
This is an underestimation of the Ukrainian army, which during 8 years where trained to NATO standards. The fanatic NAZI elements of it had 8 years of combat training, and time for preparatory building of fortifications in the east.
The Russians pulled back from Kiev as a sign of good-will in the peace negotiations, which where near a done deal until UK PM Bojo paid a visit and terminated them.
Yes utill next time, unless they are sent a hell of a message.
The Ukrainian army even after eight years was a walking disaster bolstered by Neo-Nazis and defeated time after time in the early days. It was NATO intervention with heavy modern weapons and military advisers that saved them from complete defeat. The Russia forces intentionally fell back from Kiev long before UK PM Johnson paid Zekensky a photo opportunity visit.
Maybe you are right about Kiev, but do not lose sight of what was explained about the initial occupation of Kiev. It was to keep the Ukrainian forces there while forces moved into position in the Donbass. It was to minimize civilian damage. That was part of the initial SMO. Now that has changed. However, even within the context of war there can be honor, dignity, and integrity. Maybe that makes me naive, but killing each other unnecessarily makes no sense.
The reality is that Russia recently suffered a serious and predictable military setback…
After standing with the BAOR, you of all people, should understand better than most the meaning of military balance and attrition.
Yes, Russia conceded ground in the north in Kharkov and to NNW of Kherson in the south. Has it ever occurred to you how remarkable it was/is for the Ukraine to advance, especially in the open steppe, without any sort of meaningful air cover and with its Himars projectiles and missiles routinely intercepted by Russian air defence?
It would be fair to say, you will agree, that the Russians/LDNR forces liberated 20% of the Ukraine with significant assistance of air power. It would have been difficult for RF/LDNR to advance as much as they have if the Ukrainian air force was able to carry out counter-air and battlefield interdiction as well as close air support of their troops. That’s the reason of course for the Russian aerospace forces to seek to destroy or render inoperable the Ukrainian air force in the first week of the SMO. Would the BAOR have been able to defend its sector against Warsaw Pact land forces without the RAF? Did they even contemplate doing that?Of course not. And would the Warsaw Pact have made any advance, if at all, without their own air cover? Again, no.
Now, if we look at the Ukrainian advances, they’ve been able to advance quite a distance this past fortnight without any air cover. There are two plausible reasons: the Ukrainians/Nato surprised and then executed a superb ground operation to out-fight the Russians, despite Russian air supriority, forcing a Russian withdrawal; or the Russians let them advance while fighting a rearguard action aimed at destroying their (Ukrainian) forces.
I’ve been looking at the RF daily clobber report since the start of the SMO — not to count Ukrainian losses in men and materiel, but to look at RF aerospace and operational aviation efforts, meaning the sectors they were targeting. Two weeks ago, when all eyes were glued on Kharkov around Izyum and Liman, and there was general fear amongst some quarters of a collapse of RF defence around those towns, the RF aerospace forces put 80% of their effort around Kherson and the surrounding oblasts; it is only in the past 4-5 days that the efforts have been roughly balanced between the north (Kharkov) and south (Kherson). Isn’t that remarkable? It is as if the Russians don’t care to use their superior airpower to allow them to prevail in Kharkov. At any rate the fronts have roughly stabilised and we do not hear of any Ukrainian tactical advances any more.
Unlike Ukrainian mobilisation where men — with no military experience — were thrown into battle after some desultory training, the RF mobilisation recalled to the Colours ex-soldiers, and even then eased them into the fighting units only after refresher and force integration training. Now, if the situation were dire, would the Russians have taken their time to reinforce their front? Wouldn’t they have thrown ready units – of which they have plenty, with around 40 000 men recently exercised in the East — into the fray instead of waiting for reinforcements to get up to speed? Wouldn’t the BAOR have done the same thing — throw in ready units instead of waiting for the arrival of freshly-trained recruits from the UK? So it appears to me the RF military are not overly concerned with the loss of ground. Some people, who are probably out of the RF General Staff planning loop and thus not seeing the big picture, understandably raised a stink. There were some complaints eg Ramzan Khadirov and Col-Gen Andrey Kartapolov, chairman of the Duma defence committee, after the withdrawal in Kharkov but generally that was it.
At the start of the SMO the AFU was far from being a third-rate armed forces. The Ukraine had Western Europe’s largest armed forces, meticulously trained and prepared and equipped by Nato for eight years, perhaps longer. The AFU has been attrited these past seven months. It is now running out of men and materiel — it has no air force; it doesn’t have enough tanks and artillery; it doesn’t have enough shells and bullets. Nato are supplying qualitatively and quantitatively lesser equipment — fewer artillery shells and now of lower calibre (105 mm vs the usual medium calibre artillery rounds). The equipment supplied is not enough to replace losses, both on the battlefield and in depots. The Ukraine is getting no modern tanks — Zelensky was literally screaming and begging for tanks a month or so ago — and most certainly no fighter planes. Does that look like a winning proposition to you?
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. You can call it a Ukrainian ‘victory’ in the north and south of the country but it is a Pyrrhic victory. They have been stopped in their tracks quite literally and they have lost significant numbers of men and equipment; and if they persist in sustaining their advance, they will be stuck, mired in mud and frozen in the winter months — and with no air cover. Talk about sitting ducks. I am sure BAOR doctrine warned of that danger when facing down Warsaw Pact forces on the steppes of Eastern Europe or plains of West Germany.
I am also sure that there are many Nato generals and think-tankers (notwithstanding the pathetic performances of Michael Clarke, former RUSI DG, on British TV) who know how to fight a conventional war, at least on paper, and they can read how the conflict is going for the Ukraine. Unfortunately they are not looking at the conflict with the Ukraine’s interest in mind but Nato’s; and thus for them the Ukraine is doing pretty well despite losing 110 000 sq km of ground in exchange for a total of 5 000 sq km of sparsely populated and militarily unimportant areas in Kharkov and Kherson. They don’t mention this but the Ukraine is about to lose more ground in a militarily significant part of the Ukraine too, Bakhmut.
There’s Satan, and the Children of Satan.
Possibly many here cannot grasp what this is all about.
The US military is thoroughly infested with Satanism – a report from 1999 by Jeff Steinberg shows what this means : Satanic subversion of the U.S. military
The Children of Satan have delivered all the wars since 1991, and this pamphlet was very well known in the US in 2004 :
Now a great Russian politician can say this outright. The Children of Satan know who they are and are chewing the carpet! Many here already know the Straussians – the Children of Satan.
As for economics, the Austrian School of von Hayek of the London School of Economics, is based on Bernard Mandeville’s theory, Grumbling Hive, or Fable of the Bees. This Mandeville ran the Hellfire clubs all across the British Isles. British Imperial economics is literally and functionally Satanic.
– British Imperial economics is literally and functionally Satanic.
“Economy” as “Satanic” vs. “Christian” is not something I have learned about. Austerity (= what is good for the state is good for you) is the worst I can think about as economy. In Das Kapital any any profit is “evil”. Any who is not working for the state is “evil”. People should stop thinking about themselves a.s.o. — communism
“Children of Satan” is reference to “neo-con”
“Children of Satan” is reference to Straussians – see the pamphlet.
Straussians are well documented here – Pepe Escobar also references them.
British Imperial economics, is that of the British East Indie Company Haileybury school of Adam Smith (CEO), Mandeville (Satanist) and their first economist, Malthus.
Malthusianism, radical population reduction, i.e. genocide, is the King’s Great Reset. Austerity is Malthusian, and Hitler’s Finance Minister Schacht, the Bank of International Settlements founder, showed what that means.
Glazyev’s book Genocide, is what Putin refers to when Russia was targeted for dismemberment.
Your link about “Children of Satan” https://larouchepub.com/other/2003/pamphletcos.pdf
is about these people
Which is PNAC
None of them are students of Chicago University [presented as being “nazi” by Larouche] as I know.
While George W. Bush is son of George H. W. Bush – a close relative of Hitler.
– Austerity is Malthusian, (= radical population reduction, i.e. genocide,)
You are not using the term correctly
Austerity — In most macroeconomic models, austerity policies which reduce government spending lead to increased unemployment in the short term.
“Austerity” is a common term in Media, and most people understand the word, except those who read LaRouche? The latters are more dogmatic than marxists
WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 – RIA Novosti. Photos and videos showing the congratulation of Russian President Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday, projected on one of the skyscrapers of the Trump Tower in Miami, appeared in social networks.
“This West has no moral right to even stutter about the freedom of democracy. Happy birthday, Mr. President,” they projected on the central high-rise.
youtube video there.
Could only happen in America!
It is a magnificient and historic speach.Thnak you for the comments!
On the recent terrorist attacks :
Swiss Colonel Bosshard Debunks Another NATO Conspiracy Theory
Detailed comment from a professional military view (Again the Swiss – they are everywhere!)
The sheer level of activity, logistics, skill to prepare the NordStream explosives points only to NATO.
Yet one question comes to mind – if NS2b, the second pipeline is actually intact, ready to pump, as Russia found, then what?
Did a 4th explosive fail to detonate, still in place, an extreme hazard? There is no way with such preparations NATO simply forgot 1 pipeline.
Therefore will another attempt be made, either to detonate, or deactivate?
Secondly the Kerch bridge sure looks like a (suicide?) truck bomber, then is ISIS active?
From a purely military view this has no impact – the new Land Bridge is now the main corridor. It is a Psyop.
Meanwhile General Winter rolls in….
Plus the bridge still can be used. The Russian Federation is above pathetic propaganda but surely there is mileage to be made out of failings of NATO planning and explosives not completing what they wanted them to do, as well as being show cases of how strong and undefeatable Russian structures are. With what could possibly follow, these could indeed be NATO “own goals” !
” Yet one question comes to mind – if NS2b, the second pipeline is actually intact, ready to pump, as Russia found, then what? ”
I remember when the news about NS broke, it was initially reported about 3 leaks. Then at some later point in the day it was reported about a 4th leak, much smaller so it had not been detected at first. Think it was in Sweedish waters.
Now with the consequences of a terminated NS for Europe being know, maybe not everybody was totally onboard with the idea … and a ‘mistake’ was made. It could also be intentially, a safety option. The message was sent with blowing up 3 pipes, and it was sufficient to create the narrative that Russia blew up the pipelines.
Too many maybe’s there.
Either 1 mine is sitting there ‘ticking’ – a political disaster for NATO, or they put 2 mines on one pipeline. As Col Brosshard details the work from a professional military view, there is simply no way they missed 1 pipeline.
Which means NATO must revisit the sites.
This is beyond a SNAFU.
If they send sapper Joe back down, where a mine could detonate anytime, decompression would be the least of his problems!
Such a great speech. Plain words straight from the heart. Not much de-coding is necessary but thanks a lot for the enlightening commentary.
“Personally, this only further comforts me in the idea that there is no alternative to Putin and that he deserves my full support.”
I wish that our leaders were as mindful of history as Putin is. His speeches are so much more than the saber rattling ones we get in the states.
Since Putin celebrated his 70th birthday yesterday, does anyone know if there is a successor being groomed to replace him when he decides it is time? I hope there is someone just as strong waiting in the wings.
I hope you can get back to normal soon Saker.
Well, interesting birthday present from the Ukrainians to Mr Putin…….and no matter what words one uses, talk is cheap unless you plan some action……
No disruption in Kiev no disruption in Lviv, Ukrainians still bomb Russia proper at will, at the this point the impotence must have the Brits shitting themselves with laughter…..seems that Chechen guy knows a bit more about fighting terrorist than anyone in the RF MOD high command. You can’t play chess on a Snakes and Ladders board…..although stubborn people……I forgot, it’s 5D.
Amazing chutzpah – Americans getting the idea they can decide Russian MoD policy.
No need to apologize for typos and such Andrei! In fact, you did a great job with that kind of stuff in your commentary – which was spot on.
While I think this was a very nice speech, I am afraid that Putin is making the same mistake that many others did in history. There is a reason why the Europeans colonized the whole world. No moral, no conscience , no regrets and extreme racism.
While everyone else tried and is still trying to reason with them, they don’t care. Europe will never pull back and will always double down and escalate, and if millions die, so be it. That is the way of the barbarians, and is encoded into the genes. By not reacting on the north stream pipeline destruction aggressively, in the eyes of it’s adversaries , Russia blinked, and that has emboldened them to go to the next step and destroy the Crimean bridge. I now genuinely think that Russia may lose this one. I am so sorry that the Russians and Ukrainians fell into the same trap of destruction that we ex Yugoslavs did, all because we were a thorn in the eye of the western elites.
It would be extremely irresponsible on the part of Russia to leave unanswered the terrorist attack by the fascist Kiev regime on the Crimean bridge.
The response should be a devastating one preferably on Kiev itself. Should Russia play a soft hand in response it will spur terrible crimes by the Kiev regime in the future.
Indeed it will spur them on,its not as if Russia is short of targets in Ukraine.
What if the inverstigation finds that it is the work of American special forces ?
This is the 3rd time I have read or listened to this speech word for word, the commentary was spectacular and helpful/informative. I remember the morning I first read a few excerpts and thought something was up here, such delightful blunt talk. The first full length format I found was a voice over translation, which I wish I could find again, it was astounding to hear such words and phrases spoken out loud in such a format, words heard round the world. Additionally I was grateful that he acknowledged that yes even many people in the US, understand and agree whole heartedly with what he is conveying here. We the People are victimized by the same forces, the same leeches are on our backs as they have been all our waking days. I view Europe now as a sort of petri dish of what is to come to our quote ‘homeland’ unquote ( used in the US with fascist overtones ) as either the people of Europe rebel and overthrow their leadership and take back control and sovereignty, or they are in for a bone chilling winter. Same here, the same NWO fascist nazi forces of mega rich A holes who are already since 1776 been milking us like cows will be squeezing our udders to the last drop, and we are all here facing the same dire scenario as is all of Europe. And there is only one solution, rebel or die.
Regarding the Kerch Bridge Attack, Putin has ordered a commission be set up to investigate. Putin has ordered enhanced security around the bridge. Spokesman Zakharova says that the Ukrainian leadership has a terrorist nature. All of this is not enough. Russia must stop talking and act. No more measured responses. Annihilate all of Ukraine. Send their entire leadership to heck.
It wouldn’t be before time, there really is nothing to investigate, while they are investigating there could be another outrage.
Paul Craig Roberts said today that if Russia does not retaliate it will be a disastrous mistake. “It will convince the world that it’s very good at complaining and very poor at fighting”.
Yeah I know that he is senile blah blah blah but is he wrong?
As a leninist PCR knows nothing about Sun Tzu.
I feel comfortable about cooling down, let winter come, let oil prices run it’s course, let North Korea test their missiles …
and invite Kim Jung Un to Syria to clean up the mess
How can anyone take PCR seriously – he has the chutzpah to claim the Kremlin cannot fight a war (at unz).
PCR does? All by hisself!
And the USSR Ogarkov Plan, which was a dire threat, actually bankrupted the USSR – not a good example.
PCR’s Home Site: it grows stranger and weirder: he rarely mentions anything about his specialty field: “Economics?” In years past, he used to frequently criticize what he knows best: the US Financial System.
but he’s now specializing in Russian military affairs, as though he is some techno-military expert.
On his home page, he’s recently authored three more articles criticizing President Putin and his top military people, claiming they are holding back, and far too tepid in their military approach to Ukraine.
Those ongoing criticisms are a problem for us. First of all PCR is an expert in Western Economics. He has no credentials that back up his claims against the Russian military experts.
Because we have read hundreds of his posts for the last several years, we’ve learned he does know some top US military strategists. But that doesn’t make him an authentic military expert.
We greatly sense his anger and angst against the US Capitalist System, is being poured out on President Putin’s military staff. He wants them to act very aggressively against the US/Nato military, thinking it could help splinter the Capitalist State he, himself, lives in.
Don’t you find it strange that the Economist, Dr. Michael Hudson has never and will never criticize Russia’s Military Elite? He wouldn’t dream of doing that. He’s too busy trying to help the BRICS in developing a financial/economic system that will rival and succeed in putting US Capitalism into the bin of ancient history.
A few of us from the US sincerely dream of that day to come and not a minute too soon.
Thank you, Andrei, for presenting President Putin’s remarkable speech. To us, President Putin embodies our Hopes & Dreams for a much better World.
What I don’t understand is how the truck got through in the first place. Surely the bridge would have checkpoints for trucks given it’s been threatened before verbally and because of its strategic importance. Does this makes the military look bad or is this part of a bigger plan, to wait until a bigger problem like a bombing on civilians occur, not just infrastructure? As far as the 300,000 troops, I would think they are ready for combat. After all, why give that knowledge away to the opposition.
All it takes is a very patient pro-Ukranian guard to work there for many years, and be seen as a very trustworthy person.
Remember that the Ukraniums have planned the destruction of the bridge ever since Russia started to build it.
So plenty of time to put saboteurs among the guards, and everywhere else.
As a commenter (cobalt) wrote earlier, these sleeper cells/”stay behind”-agents are everywhere, they can never be erased completely and forever, you can only try to be better and better at detecting them and foil their plans, every day, every hour.
“I personally consider these words as the single most important part of Putin’s speech!”
I agree. In both biblical language and classical language of the Latin Church, “Demonic” is a frequent synonym for “Satanic.” Personally, I use “Demonic” to avoid or at least minimize the condescension attending use of the word “Satanic.” But the referent is the same network of painful diminishment. A Pauline synonym for “Satanic” is “powers and principalities,” which he used to avoid or minimize condescension from his Greco-Roman audiences were he to use the Semitic word “Satan,” the literal meaning of which is “prosecutor, accuser” or as we might say, “district attorney” or “US attorney.” However, literally speaking, anyone who accuses another acts in a Satanic manner.
The background of this historic speech by Vladimir Vladimirovich, the cause of pain he expresses, is the schism of 1054. Heal that break and “AngloZionist” arrogance deflates. FWIW, I like “Globohomo” but prefer “Ashkenazy Jewish – Anglican – Jesuit.” However, each of these designators points to the same painful phenomenology of causing harm rather than providing help.
The schism of 1054 is a petri dish for The Devil’s instincts. It were right to break that dish itself, pulverize it, put it in a box, tie it with a ribbon, and send it to the deep blue sea.
Whatever ruin shows up in the political or economic realms, showed up first in the religious realm. So it’s upstream, there, where corrections must be made for activities to quiet and smooth out in the political and economic realms. We must find a way to smash the schism of 1054. Perhaps just move around it and meet up on the other side, as with a double envelopment?
Check out the Vaginal Pear or Pear of Anguish, an instrument of torture used by The Inquisition on women. With respect, it was a bit more than a schism. How about altering the perceptional reality? Satanic is the correct term.
Ok , for the Kerch-bridge..
It seems to me as I read elsewhere that road and train traffic is partially restored , So the repercussions on the logistics are not catastrophic .
I understand that this sabotage was in firstplace a propagandacoup to stir fear into the russian population,
The worst thing would be now to let the emotion prevail and take imidiate and swift retaliation . I am very sure that the russian general-staff is doing its thing in a planned and sober manner without letting emotions take overhand in its decisions.
Revenge is a dish served very cold.
On the economic side , the last OPEC+ decisions are much more important and decisive than some minutiae of battle damage.
OPEC will capitulate, yankees told them, if they persist they will seize(steal) their assets like they did with Russia. And assets they have a loooooot.
If OPEC+, BRICS + , SCO and co really want to defeat the empire of lies: very simple, refuse USD (and even EUR), ask payment in their own currencies or yuan or ruble or even better in gold(real gold not etf paper gold).
US empire will immediately collapse(bonds, stocks, no more free QE money, no more 825 US MIL bases in the world). They will have to live inside their means which means 1.0 actual USD will value 0.02 usd, followed b hyperinflation and civil war).
Now that I have had more time to digest this bridge attack, it could be birthday present. OPEC will see this as an additional act of terrorism on an oil producing nation. Putin could get another 1 million bpd cut right before the UN vote on Wednesday. That would be epic.
– US empire will immediately collapse
Dollar may hyperinflate some time in future, but the replacemen will be digital money
98% of all US dollars are already created digitally ex nihilo by private banks as debt. In this existing system inflation is controlled to some extent, since as the principal of loans are repaid, the banks are required to delete it back out of existence, but they get to keep the interest.
But if the Federal Reserve creates digital money, it should be free of debt to fund government spending and perhaps provide a universal basic income. If this transpires then inflation would have to be controlled by the IRS deleting a fraction back out of existence as necessary every year.
You are saying the commercial banks create money and delete money, and then they can keep the interest, which has been less than inflation rate in the last decade (UK)
Inflation rate is 10%, and mortgage rate is 4-5% (from the net)
So interest rate is negative (4-5%)
The UK lender is being paid for lending money
Since 1913 when the federal reserve was created, the US dollar, aka federal reserve notes, have lost 99% of their purchasing power, largely because the US Treasury is forced to borrow money from private banks to meet the shortfall from federal income tax, now totaling $39 trillion on which $500 billion per year in interest must be paid, ironically with even more borrowing. Under the current monetary system this debt will never be paid and will in fact increase exponentially so that it will soon surpass Pentagon spending on the US military.
However, the recent surge of inflation that has substantially increased the US cost of living has come from the Federal reserve creation of $2 trillion of digital debt free money used to buy securities most likely US Treasury Bills to release a new flood of money into the economy without bank borrowing.
– have lost 99% of their purchasing power,
People have debt. Just credit card debt is at level $13 trillion as I remember.
Mostly people’s assets are house / real estates, that have multiplied 100 times since 1913 according to your statistics.
It’s a new world, OPEC+ will not capitulate. Biden was over begging the Saudis to increase production earlier, fistbumping with the boss, left emptyhanded and went home and lied about the outcome of the meeting.
They may loot their assets of course, but that will put a big dent in the value and viability of the dollar.
Three dead Civilians.
If Russia does not respond with extreme military force it will mean that they put the interests of Russian capitalists above the interests of the Russian proletariat.
I don’t think that Russia will retaliate against Ukraine using military force for the Kiev regime bombing of the NS2 gas pipeline just offshore from Denmark, or the truck bombing of the Kerch Bridge connecting Russia and Crimea.
Russia may respond by cutting off gas and oil supplies to most NATO countries and/or raising their price via OPEC, that will cause much more damage. If people in Europe cannot heat their homes this coming winter, not only will many old folk die of hypothermia, but if their houses are heated with hot water systems that use copper pipes feeding radiators, then these pipes will freeze and burst. In the Spring, water will leak out causing serious damage to walls and expensive repair work. It will be a disaster. Ursula von der Leyen and her chums will be nice and warm, however.
Good idea. A NATO tax to compensate for damages. Stretched out over 20 years. $30-70 million for the repair of the Bridge, and an additional $300-600 billion for the damage to the NS pipeline system.
I also don’t see any military retaliation comming after this event. We don’t even know how the bridge got blown up. The Truck bombing narrative seems to be a speculative angle discrediting Russian authorities. Where does the story come from ? We must remember that Regime change is what this war is all about.
That would be true for a Hollywood movie but not real life.
Its not just this latest outrage that needs an answer, its clear not only Donbass is under threat but Crimea, what happens when ballistic missiles start hitting Crimea?the way this is going Russia will need to take half of Ukraine and neutralize it.
This is the most important Putin speech so far. Thank you Saker for explaining the nuances which mostly would be lost to me.
In calling out the West as Satanist he has not only stated that the West must be defeated but also totally destroyed- at least the Satanist part of the West.
Unfortunately the Empire knows that it cannot defeat Russia in a conventional war and the only it it has a chance of winning is by using nuclear weapons.
Being the psychopaths that they are, they would rather destroy everything rather than lose power and control.
Dangerous times ahead. I don’t see the West coming to its senses to avoid a nuclear war.
I think the Empire also knows, that for the time being, they can not defeat Russia with nuclear weapons. Russia has an edge with hypersonics, as well as defensive systems like the S-550.
Where I think the real danger lies is with bio-warfare. Here the Empire has a monopoly and still an edge. Also Russia and China seems surrounded with American Bio-Labs on their borders. As recent investigation of those in Ukraine showed, they where not exactly benign.
If the Soviet Union existed today they would have already retaliated.
Maybe the head of the Russian Communist Party, Gennady Zyuganov, should be appointed to lead the war effort.
Ukraine has amassed 40,00 troops on the Lugansk front line and mercenaries from 30 countries on the Zaparozhye front line. Maybe Russia should attack these forces before they begin their offensive.

AHH, If you wrote the above poem, you are one talented dude (or dudette). I’m serious!!!
Hi Anton, I am a dude and thanks. I wrote it quickly. I am new to rhyme actually. Picked it up to acquire concision and clarity of writing. I am usually in the Cafe. Much better poets there.
I wrote it to calm your anguish.. the wars of the End Times are above all mindwars.. All supporters of Russia are simultaneously assaulted. And so much secrecy and false info and contrived despair out there. We have to work to not harm our own health in getting overexcited. Rumsfeld told the truth once or twice in his life — it IS the Long War. The climax to a millennial battle between Anglos and Germans vs Russians. Won’t end well for the former as the battlefield is on the Heartland and in the air.
PS — I lived in VA for a bit, and really loved the Shenandoah Valley. A most beautiful land. NC is not too different I think.
PPS — what happened to LW? Is he on a long walkabout or in hibernation?
AHH, You’re right that I have experienced anguish regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict and need to chill out regarding it. In recent years I have become apolitical but am still drawn to sites like this because I have great disdain for all of the death and destruction that the USA has caused and is causing and I sense that the American Empire is about to end.
My main fear is that this entire conflict is merely theatre/ a psyop orchestrated by the insane bankster cult that owns and rules the world. The Great Reset could run something like this: Covid then Ukraine then extreme food shortages. That’s why it’s important to me that Russia respond decisively to this latest attack and thus provide evidence they’re not a tool of some more powerful forces.
I agree that that the real war is a mind war. I would say that the real war is spiritual i.e. nonmaterial. The good news is that in the battle between light and darkness, darkness has no chance. It is merely the absence of light.
I, too, have noticed that LW is missing in action. The last time he was missing was during Ramadan. i hope all is well with him.
‘General Armageddon’ to lead Russian forces in Ukraine
Sergey Surovikin, a Syria campaign veteran, will take command of all operations, the Defense Ministry said
Surovikin was given the nickname ‘General Armageddon’ by his colleagues, citing his hardline and unorthodox approach to military operations.
Ukraine now has to face this and General Winter. I would not like to be in their frozen boots!
Vladimir Putin’s speech commemorating the accession of the new republics and regions to Russia resonates with me. The people there have a legitimate cause. He also raises many of the troubling issues and developments that I have observed for the last 60 years, starting with the needless devastation of Vietnam by the United States. Before that was the coup in Iran and the Korean War. Not to mention the many tyrannies established by the US in Latin America.
After 1989 everything became even worse with the thirst for limitless power awakened by the uni-polar moment. If mendacity had a name it would be NED, but of course there are the adjacent secret services and the State Department. Wars in the Muslim world ensued. Then there is this thing about spying on Europeans. How can you engage in business or politics if you know that every e-mail you send is stored in a mammoth database in Utah? They say the US government is not allowed to spy on its citizens, but apparently it is quite alright to spy on the rest of the world.
I would say that the United States has lost the lustre which it may have had at some time in the past. For me the US was never a world policeman but much more a world tyrant seeking subordination and gain. There are no threats to America’s security, rather it is a threat to the security of everyone else. I now see the so-called exceptionalism as being as much an imperial ideology with racist characteristics as anything else. Perhaps Europeans secretly admire the US (despite all of its wars) because it is the last colonial and imperial power? Can you admire such a chaotic society? America is not the solution, it is the problem! Therefore I welcome the multi-polar world and the resurgence of responsible powers.
This indeed is a great and immensely important speech by Putin. I hope, one day, the whole world will look upon Putin as one the great leaders. Often we hear about the lack of response to provocations that could lead to further escalation if not “nipped” in the bud.Its the argument Paul Craig Roberts advances. It is totally wrong.History is full of tit-for-tat responses that only escalated. It is a very Western response to aggression that ignores the deflector as having a strategic victory.
Tit-for-tat policies among nuclear powers is also very dangerous. It could be argued that Putin has saved the world from nuclear oblivion. The West would not have backed off one iota if thousands more had died,a few more missiles sent or buildings destroyed. Quite the opposite in fact. Russia will act but it will be on Russian terms.
Putin has been highly intelligent, calm, stoic but also able to highly advance the well being of the Russian people. In conflict he has also managed to limit Russian casualties especially when compared to its enemies.
Not only is Putin a great leader in peace [relative peace!] but also, I truly believe, in war.
There is a clearly stated red line, though – long range missiles and Russian territory attacked, now including the new provinces.
PCR speaks for no-one but his shadow.
Looks like there will be “Medvedev’s Map” Solution for… 404. Martyanov :
This map was suggested by Medvedev end September.
Medvedev is Deputy deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council.
A rump Banderistan needs Kiev intact…. just in case many here have the chutzpah to dictate Russian MoD policy.
– The West is ready to cross every line to preserve the neo-colonial system which allows it to live off the world, to plunder it thanks to the domination of the dollar and technology, to collect an actual tribute from humanity, … …
Compare above analysis to the following conservative analysis published by RT https://www.rt.com/news/563807-conservatives-party-economy-us/
– All of this [censorships] is really just the tip of the iceberg. We [Conservative] are going to need payment processing systems, financial institutions, and other businesses that won’t cave to extremist demands. For the Tories to propose a New Bretton Woods with a resuscitated Keynes Bancor would be hilarious theater!
All the paradox Pines in the forest now fall! Not a good place to be!
US is divided. Russians don’t see that. Biden delivered a speech where he called for total destruction of … not Russia, but MAGA
– For most of this time, the main focus of Twitter censorship has, of course, been supposed “Covid-19 disinformation.” By now, almost all the most influential advocates of early treatment or critics of Covid-19 vaccines on Twitter have had their accounts suspended, and most have not made it back.
– The list of the permanently suspended includes such prominent voices as Robert Malone, Steve Kirsch, Daniel Horowitz, Nick Hudson, Anthony Hinton, Jessica Rose, Naomi Wolf, and, most recently, Peter McCullough.
Leninism = turning everything: Media, science, kinder garten … into a weapon
US is turned into a totalitarian state
Here we go again. Its not “leftism” that Paypal etc. support. Real leftist are anti-capitalists. What Paypal etc. support is neo -liberarlism. It can be argued that its a form of “rightism” hence they can easily align themselves with very right wing Nazis.
Using the word “ieftism” or blaming the “left” is a complete nonsense. Its an archaic and its direct roots are US anti- communist “reds under the bed” propaganda .Its totally expected that comes from the US with its old divide and conquer tactics!
Big tech like Google / FB / Twitter are leftist
Big corp like Walmart / Amazon / Paypal are leftist
The biggest Media CNN / MSNBC / NYT / Washington Post / BBC / Guardian are leftist
Leftist issues (Obama/Soros talking points)
– ending fossil fuel (that is about justifying one world goverment as enviromental necessity)

– promoting gender fluidity and destabilization of family
– promoting immigration

– gun control
– supporting NATO
Great short video at Martyanov.
President Putin: “Our compatriots, our brothers and sisters in Ukraine who are part of our united people have seen with their own eyes what the ruling class of the so-called West have prepared for humanity as a whole. They have dropped their masks and shown what they are really made of.”
Part of Andrei’s Comment: “Putin is directly accusing the West of hypocrisy and rabid, messianic, imperialism.”
To put all that into simple American jargon: “We are sick to death of the US/UK/EU Capitalist System that has destroyed entire societies (including the US, btw) by way of IMF Loans, Central Banks &The World Bank by turning them into impoverished countries for the sole purpose of greatly enriching the top 10% wealthiest capitalists.
– In cultural and social affairs, United Russia has collaborated closely with the Russian Orthodox Church.
– Putin has promoted new think tanks that bring together like-minded intellectuals and writers. For example, the Izborsky Club, founded in 2012 by Aleksandr Prokhanov, stresses Russian nationalism, the restoration of Russia’s historical greatness and systematic opposition to liberal ideas and policies.
United Russia is very much the opposite of progressive Biden: No BLM, no LGBTQ, no free abortion & infanticide, no end of fossil fuel, no Great Reset & NWO.
On Covid-19 the case is less clear.
Amazing speech and great comment add-on. PRECIOUS.
Reading the transcripts of Putin and Lavrov instills much admiration in me. Stack their speeches up to those of Biden and Blinken or Trump and Pompano.
Trump’s style is different but in the same spirit and he can give Putin a good run for the money. I believe it would be better if the election wasn’t stolen and Trump is in the Whitehouse with a different SECSTATE. I believe Trump would have called Putin to make a deal and prevented the carnage.
Alas, even if Trump was in the Whitehouse, the trade war against Russia would still be on. As I see it, the US government went to war against Russia over European Markets.
Since the US government is now taken over by Nazis and fools, they’re making the same mistake Hitler made. Germany lost WW2 because Britain had more friends. Now my country doesn’t have any friends, only vassals and they’re getting discontented.
With regard to the broad issues and general characterizations, one cannot dispute what Putin says (or your commentary). In fact, I find it refreshing (and rather amusing) that the translation of a Russian political speech should be so much clearer — free of obfuscation — than analogous political speeches in the West. Both you and Putin have my appreciation, admiration, and respect.
That said, I wonder if you would consider feeling a bit less angry towards the PEOPLE of the West, and, seemingly, to ALL of our history. Many of us feel solidarity with the Russian people, even if some are slow to understand their own psyche. We have endured many of the same mechanisms of oppression. I regularly come across online comments saying roughly, “I am American, and I am cheering for Russia.” It is the “elites” who deserve your ire, not the rest of us. To his credit, Putin himself articulates this briefly in his speech. If he can continue to convey that his goal is sovereignty, not domination, he may find himself with an army of allies within the very countries he is fighting. (What a satisfying way to win a war!)
The late Chalmers Johnson was a foreign policy advisor in the Reagan administration, yet he started writing anti-empire books and papers by the early 1990s. The titles of his last four books leave no doubt:
Blowback: The Costs and Consequences of American Empire
The Sorrows of Empire: Militarism, Secrecy, and the End of the Republic
Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic
Dismantling the Empire: America’s Last Best Hope
He gave a speech at the University of Washington in 2004. It is still worth listening to: https://www.alternativeradio.org/products/johc001/
Johnson observed that in the 1950s, the British government understood it must choose between empire abroad and democracy at home, and that — to its great credit — it CHOSE, intentionally, to preserve democracy. I think this demonstrates that occasionally, though far less often than we would like, there have been wise leaders in the West. (Yes, of course the British would have lost their empire eventually regardless. But Johnson’s point is that they could have kept it perhaps a decade longer if they had been willing to use enough brute force.)
I hope you will also consider the case of John Perkins. This interview was conducted around 2007: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdPMSMTBf-Q
And remember the oppression of Sakharov and Solzhenitsyn. The enemy is Evil itself; it transcends race and nationality. You and I today…, I think we pray for the same outcome.
“All governments and regimes to a first approximation are bad, all peoples are oppressed, and all are threatened by common dangers.” – Andrei Sakharov
“Looking back at the worst times, it always seems that they were times in which there were people who believed with absolute faith and absolute dogmatism in something. And they were so serious in this matter that they insisted that the rest of the world agree with them. And then they would do things that were directly inconsistent with their own beliefs in order to maintain that what they said was true.” – Richard Feynman
