A few months ago a friend in Baghdad told me the ME has Putin mania. All Russians are well received because what the Arabs want more than anything is an ally.
So why do so many of the Muslims in the West sympathize with ISIS? I remember seeing on poll that said 21% of the refugees sympathize with ISIS.
What kind of black propaganda networks exist to persuade westernized Muslims that Wahabbism is true Islam and that fighting Assad is in their interest? Also how is it possible that 1,000’s of Western Muslims have joined ISIS and yet the recruiting networks that indoctrinated them, transported, and connected them with jihadi fighters in the Middle East have gone undetected? This happened in what had to have been one of the most heavily surveiled populations in the Western world since 9/11.
I have also seen those poll numbers and others claiming widespread support among Muslims for terrorism. Frankly, having lived in multiple Muslim countries for years, speak Arabic, I have had hundreds if not thousands of conversations with Muslims from all walks of life about terrorism, I don’t buy such polls. The ones I’ve looked into use very vague questions and then heavily extrapolate from them to reach their “support terror” conclusion, a conclusion which nearly always is predetermined from the beginning. For example, I remember one such poll asking “would you ever use violence to defend Islam?”. Note how vague this question is, no context as to what would spur this defense, nothing about what shape that “violence” would take. For instance, what if the house of Saud decreed no Shia would be allowed on the Haj and the Shia of the world then overthrew the ruling Saudis by force. This hypothetical would fit the question, and by itself by no means relates to “terrorism”. But what did the pollsters do? Every affirmative answer was deemed to “support terrorism”. By analogy, if the question was “would you ever use violence to defend Christianity” were poised to Christians I would posit a great deal would answer yes and still have nothing to do with terrorism.
So it’s very important to actually look into what questions were asked and what assumptions made when looking at such polls along with what group commissioned and undertook the polling. There are polls of Muslims that find extremely little sympathy for terrorism, a finding that fits squarely with my anecdotal experience.
There are tens of millions of Muslims living in the West; if even ten thousand support Isis, as a percentage this is miniscule. The vast, vast majority have no time whatsoever for Wahhabism or terror.
No doubt a zionazi run poll. The lack of sourcing makes it obvious.
The same way thousands of jews from around the world go to occupied Palestine, and genocide moslems. Politicians allow it.
A short while ago a mocking and rude comment about Sheikh Imran Hosein explanation was posted here. I was surprised that it even went through. I replied to it with a brief remark. In any case, I am glad that said comment disappeared.

Sheikh Imran Hosein does an unacceptable degree of cherry-picking from the historical facts ! While he is spot on about Crimea, he blurs the facts during WW I and Russian involvement then.
Tsar empire was brought down in 1917 February by Mesheviks, not Bolsheviks.
‘Communism’ as an ideology based on Marx’s ideas was not ‘created for bringing down Russian empire’ – Marx’s ideas were aimed at destruction of capitalistic imperialistic oppression of the peoples all over the world !

And, we must take into account that every thing said by Sheikh Imran Hossein is not God´s word or as if he was” The Oracle” himself, as he himself says many times, despite what here we are tried to make believe.
This sheikh is not but a man, and, as many others ( with the best of intentions, or not so, because of their personal agenda ) may be wrong. In this case plainly wrong, and so, fear he is not telling “all” about Russia, the USSR and the rest, only what he thinks is “all”.
On the other hand, it is difficult to believe that Communism was not Russian since, nowadays, still, at least half of the Russians are communists, as is demonstrated by their vote to the Communist Party, second political force in parliament.
In fact, most of the people in the world is communist, only they many have no idea whatsoever, because, due to the demonization of the label “communist” by tirelessly activity throughout history by certain privileged sectors and their hired agents, they have never established who really defends their interests best, those of the majority of the world population, and so, they have never bothered to reading any communist program or read any communist author´s work.

You spelt out a truth which most of the activists ignore or don’t appreciate – a society based on equality and justice is something 90% of the population wants everywhere in the world … & isn’t that the real essence of Marxism ?
Sheikh, in his zeal to nail down Zionism, unnecessarily distorting the historical facts about Bolsheviks – that reduces his acceptability in future among the peoples.

And besides, I do not discard that part of the hatred against Jews, that directed against them by some interested parties, have less to do with the genocidal behavior the Israeli government has developed since decades towards its neighbors, and more with the fact that the initial project for Israel was one of a socialist country, if not communist.
Call me inocent if you want, but, as happened with the Russians, I really think that many jews, Russians or not, who flew to the new Israel, only wanted to live in peace their socialist dream in a place where they were allowed to do it, jointly with the locals. Then, interested parties, and their hired agents ( read, the Rotschilds and their lackeys ) thought that this was not good for them.

Off hand ,I can think of WWI staring in August 1914.And WWII staring in September 1939.

Sheikh Imran has a powerful, welcome and inspiring message of friendship between Islam and Orthodox Christianity. But in the spirit of constructive debate, I take issue with his reading of the Soviet Revolution. It almost echoes the views of some rabid Western reactionaries – namely that the Russian Revolution was the product of a Jewish plan. Because, if so, the principle should also apply to the French Commune of 1871. That revolution shared many components of the Russian plan, and it died due to the overpowering strength of the enemies – in the instance, the de-facto alliance between the Prussian forces and what remained of the French army led by the reaction. The Jewish presence was insignificant.
That there were many Jews among the first Russian revolutionaries, is clear from the records. But it is also clear that the seeds of the Revolution were sown in the previous several decades, in practice and in thought – especially via the Russian great classics, whose authors were anything but Jews.
I repeat the repeated when I say that Western Europe owes indirectly to the Soviet Union more than it could ever imagine (unfortunately forgotten). The dramatic social reforms, now almost completely overturned, were enacted when Europe was on its knee, and were only possible because the privileged ruling classes felt the fire under their ass.
No place in a comment to go further on this, but even Sheik Imram, I hope, will accept that in a few decades, Russia became a world power, after suffering enormous losses in the war. The Soviet Union brought peace to her people, gave them an ideal and, among enormous difficulties and inevitable errors, attempted to bring a measure of shared prosperity.
His views about religion in the Soviet Union are also somewhat questionable in their blanket generalization. In the instance, the Islamic Soviet Republics were thus called because Islam was there practiced without interference. Paradoxically, “terror” and turmoil began after they became “free” and ringed themselves with sundry US military bases.
The Zionist cloud is ominous but let’s not bend history to accommodate current unpleasant realities.
