Large amount of significant updates today.
Let’s start with the most pressing – it looks like our reporting on the Transnistria RUMINT last time were accurate, the escalations there are now getting worse. More and more info pours out from every direction that suggests an increasingly grave situation.
Poland and Ukraine both have now announced military ‘exercises’ that will conveniently move equipment towards the east of the country:
⚡️The Ministry of Defense of Poland announced that in connection with the “military exercises” from May 1 until the end of the month there will be heavy movement of columns with equipment in the north, east of the country
“Ukrainian media are reporting that a military exercise has been announced in Kotovsk (AKA Podilsk) from today to the 30th, ~20km from the Transnistrian border.”
While Transnistria reportedly announced mobilization: https://balkaninsight.com/2022/04/28/moldovas-breakaway-transnistria-orders-general-mobilisation/
And Bulgaria has warned its citizens to leave the country:
“Given the deteriorating situation in the Republic of Moldova and around it, we call on our compatriots to refrain from any trips to the country. We invite Bulgarian citizens who are on the territory of the Republic of Moldova to take measures to leave the country on currently available vehicles .”
The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry asks its citizens to leave the country. The appeal is posted on the official website of the department.”
And many citizens in Transnistria were said to be fleeing already as snarled traffic was seen at border checkpoints.
A video of the likely Ukrainian terror attack on Tiraspol’s Ministry building was released, showing several masked gunmen armed with RPG’s shooting the building:
Arestovich has outright called for Moldova to take Transnistria which they “officially” declined, for now: https://www.rt.com/russia/554640-moldova-transnistria-kiev-offer/
Meanwhile the MI6 claims it is Russia that is preparing a mass assault there:
“🔥 Mi-6 sent intelligence to the Office of the President of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that Russia is preparing a landing in Transnistria if an escalation begins, and is also activated on the southern front. Additional forces of the Russian army are being transferred to Crimea, and the Black Sea Fleet is preparing an operation in Bessarabia. British intelligence again recommended Zelensky to refrain from plans to attack the PMR until the Armed Forces of Ukraine are strengthened with new weapons.”
And ex-Prime Minister of Moldova issued the following statement:
“If the Russians manage to get to Tiraspol, it will be the end of Moldova,” ex-Prime Minister of Moldova Iurie Leanca.
“If Bucharest and Chisinau do not implement certain scenarios. Our only scenario is unire (the name of the movement for the unification of Romania and Moldova). When Romania takes this step together with Chisinau, we immediately fall under the security umbrella of NATO and the European Union.”
In the meantime, Washington continues to escalate its involvement, offering even more intelligence assets to Kiev: https://www.rt.com/news/554643-us-intelligence-sharing-ukraine-russia/
And Biden now seeks a gargantuan $33 billion for Ukraine: https://www.rt.com/russia/554685-biden-ukraine-aid/
Keep in mind, this is 5 times larger than Ukraine’s entire annual military budget of $6 billion.
WarGonzo reports that Moldova is holding secret consultations with NATO on a combined action to retake Transnistria:
https://zen.yandex.ru/media/wargonzoya/specoperaciia-nato-pod-nazvaniem-krovavaia-maiia-626abccc35423263458fed48 (you can autotranslate the article)
“So, our high-ranking insiders in Chisinau, who are really concerned about the security of ordinary people, report that the head of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is holding closed meetings with parliamentarians in order to convince them to publicly advocate for Moldova’s participation in hostilities against the PMR and the Russian military contingent deployed there. .
Naturally, Sandu does this not out of a personal militaristic nature, but on the orders of his immediate supervisors – German citizen Hans Martin Sieg and American political strategist Jason Smart, who act on instructions and direct instructions from NATO generals who cut up the corresponding tasks.
In the scenarios proposed by the curators, the Moldovan military themselves will allegedly participate nominally, direct participation in hostilities and their deployment, as well as further military planning, will fall on the shoulders of the Romanian Armed Forces. Thus, the NATO bloc is working out another scheme based on the “proxy” principle – the Romanians are fighting, but under the flag of Moldova. In general, according to the classics.
The reconnaissance has already been carried out, heavy weapons and manpower are being pulled together, but there is a problem – Sandu’s loyal associates, realizing the possible targeted consequences for their own persons, do not want to share with her the title of “bloody Maya” and the fate of the comedian Zelensky’s team, which, as we all understand, long ago decided.”
Large Romanian military convoys spotted heading towards the eastern border:
And now, the Russian head of SVR intelligence agency has stated:
Sputnik/RT both reporting it:
And at the same time, it’s being reported that:
“Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over #Ukraine in space. The staff is about 50 people only from the USA. It is located in one of the communication buildings in Lviv.”
Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over Ukraine in space.
Keep in mind, none of this should come as a surprise as it was weeks ago already that Poland was openly requesting a NATO mission to Ukraine: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/poland-propose-ukraine-peacekeeping-mission-nato-summit-says-pm-2022-03-18/
But now it seems things are escalating and they may take matters into their own hands. Personally, I don’t see much problem with it, why shouldn’t they take the Western part of Ukraine? Russia certainly doesn’t want it and it could be a good ‘compromise’ if something is worked out on the back end. Russia only wants Odessa and in fact would prefer not to have to expend massive manpower and lives lost to conquer the western pale of Ukraine. Of course this is an oversimplification and we don’t know what disaster could turn out from these moves, or what Poland/NATO’s ultimate aims might actually be.
On that note Britain has announced the first official British mercenary killed in Ukraine
“London confirms the death of at least one British subject in Ukraine. Another one went missing. It is known that the killed militant’s name was Scott Sibley. According to rumors, he was a retired British military man who, either out of boredom or under a contract, decided to go on a “Russian safari”. Safari didn’t work.”
While another group of British mercenaries seen somewhere in Ukraine:
Two American mercenaries were also badly wounded in Orekhovo, one seemingly blinded for life by Russian artillery. You can read the description in the video below for more details:
Now the most important thing to understand is that all of these escalations are happening for one reason only, and that is: Russia is completely annihilating the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass. It is going even more horrifically for the AFU than many imagined. Here are some new videos just from the past day or two alone showing not only possibly hundreds of losses in KIA but new mass surrenders as well:
Today’s mass surrender:
Huge losses (18+): https://www.bitchute.com/video/RFkLPDeIXdfp/
These are unsustainable losses – the AFU is getting crushed and obliterated and the long awaited heavier Russian offensive has not even started yet. It’s getting so bad that even the most infamous pro-western sources are becoming extremely worried:
Jihad Julian is chief amongst them:
Here’s the vile Anders Aslund: https://twitter.com/anders_aslund/status/1519678415456149506
“The War: Ukraine has experienced setback in the past few days. A senior Ukrainian official announced yesterday that Russian troops had taken part of the Kharkiv region. Yesterday, Russia announced that it has captured the entire Kherson region. No Ukrainian advances. Not good.”
And another: “Russia is increasing the pace of offensive in Ukraine in all directions, – Speaker of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oleksandr Motuzyanyk. Apparently, even the Armed Forces of Ukraine are tired of the lulling lies of Arestovich.”
Not only have Russian advances been smashing Ukrainian defenses, but Russian strikes have continued their upswing on many objects of infrastructure:
“According to reliable information received in the south-west of Kharkov, the headquarters of the TRO/Azov was destroyed. There are dead and wounded.”
There are photos from the destroyed HQ, it looks like there could be a lot of dead.
More critical railway junctures west of Kiev were hit.
Ukraine of course continues its escalations into the asymmetric / terror warfare, hitting various sites on Russian territory. There’s still no certainty of how they’re doing it apart from clues like the fact that several ‘saboteurs’ were arrested in Russia by the FSB yesterday, who were working for Ukrainian SBU. One was in Crimea, had explosives and was planning on bombing a shopping mall in Simferopol.
Many in Russia understandably are feeling fed up, and some believe Russia may eventually designate Ukraine as a terrorist state, which could open pathways for eventual formal declaration of war and mobilization, if need be.
Russia is likely to formally recognize Ukraine as a terrorist state The assassination attempts on Russian state media figures, which the FSB links to Ukraine’s SBU, and the attacks in Moldova’s breakaway Transnistria region are the pretexts for this move.
Margarita Semonyan, head of RT/Sputnik, added her voice to the mix. Western critics and some pro-Russian ‘maximalists’ believe she’s slowly softening the Russian public for the eventual acceptance of nuclear use:
“Explosions and air defense sirens in Belgorod. The Anglo-Saxons publicly offer Ukraine to transfer hostilities to the territory of Russia. And supply it with the means to implement this plan. What choice are you giving us, idiots? Complete destruction of the remaining Ukraine? Nuclear strike?”
And other prominent Russian media figures:
Meanwhile, from the MI6 in UK:
“🇬🇧🇺🇦🔥 Mi-6 have passed intelligence to the Office of the President of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that Russia is preparing strikes against decision-making centers in Ukraine. It is recommended not to use the command posts of the Ministry of Defense, the coordinates of which are known to the Russian special services.”
As of this writing, missiles have hit Kiev but so far it appears to have targeted the Artyom military factory and airfields in the vicinity, not decision centers, but we’ll see. The leadership is likely not worried anyway, there are reports that:
“Zelensky’s wife and children have already received British citizenship. Come on, he himself received it, although this should be contrary to the constitution of Ukraine. But the bloody clown’s parents refused allegiance. Well, at least someone in this family has a conscience.
Also, by the decision of the British government, citizenship was granted to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and his family members, as well as Zelensky’s adviser Mikhail Podolyak and his family members. A number of employees of the General Staff of Ukraine and the SBU are in the process of receiving.
The Ukrainian elites have prepared an alternate airfield for themselves, but the majority of Ukrainians will be left with a nose.”
The implication is that all the top Ukrainian elite are already receiving British citizenships and are ready to work from abroad in their new home soon.
One of the new Polish Warmate suicide drones has already been shot down by Russia
Large amounts of Western weapons shipments destroyed:
And numerous new TB2’s from Turkey’s fresh batch have already been shot down:
More photos: https://twitter.com/Cyberspec1/status/1519442308449529856
(another 3rd one)
There’s photos of at least 3 separate Bayraktar TB2’s shot down since yesterday online. Two of them I believe were on or near the Russian border towards Kursk.
Now as for the offensives that are generating these massive casualties posted above. Russian troops are said to be storming Lyman on the northern front while having captured several small towns NW of there, like Kymky and Oleksandrivka. There are even some reports that advance scout units have already reached the outskirts of Slavyansk through the forest, although that likely wouldn’t mean much as they are not quite ready to start assaulting yet. However residents of Slavyansk already hear heavy bombardments and blasts in the distance as the Russian advance approaches.
On the Izyum axis Russia was said to have fully cleared Zavody and is now assaulting the actual stronghold town of Velyka Komyshuvakha, while on the southern end they are still said to be pushing on Pashkove, past Kurul’ka.
Here’s a decent map: https://twitter.com/Cyberspec1/status/1519611022813720576
The AFU is already making plans for retreat in Slavyansk as there is footage of the bridge here being heavily mined and ready to blow.
Here’s the video of heavily mined bridge: https://twitter.com/Farnakyboy/status/1519762715119599616
One report: “🔥 Many residents of Slavyansk confirm the information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine mined Kupechesky Bridge in the city. Ukrainian “defenders” are preparing to surrender Slavyansk according to the scenario of Mariupol.”
As can be seen it leads to the city from the eastern end and appears to anticipate falling back and abandoning the eastern entrance.
There’s progress in Popasna and elsewhere as well but will save it for next time.
For now will turn to the final and other most important sector of Mariupol as there’ve been some big updates.
Firstly, both 2nd in Command of Azov Kalina, and 36th Brigade commander Volyna have released new videos absolutely pleading for western help.
Kalina’s message https://twitter.com/RWApodcast/status/1519619631719358466
Volyna: https://twitter.com/ChristopherJM/status/1519309276568866817 with translation of his message:
In short, he begs for a massive WW2 Dunkirk style airlift to save Azov. Unfortunately Russia has reportedly continued bombing them https://twitter.com/Militarylandnet/status/1519645150603055104
and things have gotten really desperate.
The entire northern part (cement factory, etc) appears to be under Russian control now:
Last time we noted how various forces were working to pinpoint the secret Azov lairs and hideouts. Now they’ve managed to finally do it.
“We made a complete diagram of the Azovstal bunkers, and their connections to each other. Above is the number of the defensive structure, below are the exact coordinates.
Green – transitions between protective structures (laying from 18 to 45 meters) The main headquarters of Azov is located in protective structure No. 18182, a bomb shelter for the central chemical laboratory of the plant, for 300 people. The civilians are partly located in object No. 18207 and 18170.”
This report claims negotiators have arrived:
#AZOVSTAL—#Ukraine|ian (!) negotiators have arrived in #Bezymennoye settlement near #Mariupol in an effort to convince #Azov (#Ukrainian #NationalGuard regiment) to release civilians being held by them at Azovstal. Looks like Azov is getting on everyone’s nerves now. #UkraineWar
It was reported last time how there’s friction between Azov and Kiev leadership. They requested to be sent to a ‘third country’ of preferably Turkey, and I mentioned how in the past Kiev has even bombed the Azov regiment about a month ago.
Alexander Sladkov said 2 days ago that Azov only had 9 days of food left. In his new report it was said, “The militants used the building of the sanitary and epidemiological station. 3rd floor completed.
DEFENSE FEATURES OF “AZOVSTAL”. THEY HAVE A LOT OF WATER, INSTEAD OF STOVES THEY USE BARREL WITH ANTISEPTIC, THEY DO NOT GIVE SMOKE.
Ours, moving forward, found a huge warehouse of water at the plant. The militants did not even begin to evacuate him – they have a sea of \u200b\u200bwater. They say there is 9 days of food left.”
And according to Maxim Fomkin aka Vladlen Tatarsky, a prominent DPR soldier/blogger, the Azovstal will be taken by 4/30.
Here’s Sladkov’s report showing entire northern section of Azovstal being cleared: https://twitter.com/200_zoka/status/1519631657799725056
In short, they appear to be only a few buildings away from where the Azov leadership are holed up so things are set to come to a head in some manner soon.
Russia in the meantime continues to move troops out as one western report stated:
“NEW: Russia is moving “significant” numbers of troops out of Ukraine’s besieged city of Mariupol to the north and northwest: senior U.S. defense official Russia is still hitting Mariupol with airstrikes. had about a dozen battalion tactical groups in the city.”
Lastly, here’s one of the many advanced things aiding Russian forces in the final capture of Azovstal:
A Russian Fara-VR tactical battlefield radar system that detects both troops and vehicles, through walls at distance, and can relay that information to tankers and troop units for immediate focus fire destruction of the enemies. It’s a very impressive piece of kit that was used by Spetsnaz in Syria but hasn’t gotten such closeup attention until now.
First, thanks for your most excellent (as always) sitrep.
Perhaps surprisingly, it would appear that at least some truths about “training” of the Ukraine’s Nazi forces by NATO nations is beginning to leak through western media filters, even in places like Canada where the influence of past immigration is great.
I’d take that last part with a large grain of salt, but the denial, in itself, suggests that NATO nations’ concerns about popular reactions may be increasing.
As a Canadian, I can say this is undoubtedly true, but of questionable benefit. A friend’s daughter was there for six months as part of the “training mission”. She said the lack of local language skills and the Canadian’s non-familiarity with old soviet equipment made their efforts close to useless. Her main duties ended up being cutting the grass and driving visiting dignitaries around.
The essential point, however, is not the extent of supposed benefits to the “trainees” (if any at all), but rather the actual role and intent of the NATO participants in “training” exercises for a force that quite obviously includes Nazi elements. As a Canadian, or just as any aware and presumably decent ‘citizen of the world’ for that matter, you should be appalled by all of the heinous results that that has implied and continues to imply for all concerned.
NATO and Canada were asked to specifically train the Azov before anyone else. Presumably because they feel Nazis with genocidal thoughts and feelings about Russians would make well motivated troops if properly trained. NATO, Canada, the US and the UK all knew what they were doing as does the British press, who prior to the SMO had all written articles of concern about the growth of neo-nazism in Ukraine and its penetration into power structures, these going back even as r as 2015. They now all deny that there are Nazis in Ukraine! The lumpen must be incredibly dumb if they fall for this kind of ‘make over’ tripe. Just goes to show that the MSM are truly meaningless because no one can remember anything they read more than a day ago.
“Just goes to show that the MSM are truly meaningless because no one can remember anything they read more than a day ago.”
To the contrary. The ‘goldfish effect’ is a major function of MSM operations. Upon that barren stage MSM can then work in concert to direct public attention toward whatever aspect of ‘reality’ is deemed to be most necessary and/or advantageous at that point in time.
“Just goes to show that the MSM are truly meaningless because no one can remember anything they read more than a day ago.”
Even when you show them their own proof:
They just minimize the significance.
The Nazi element only needs to by 1 in 10. So 10% of the military force. One man can ‘inspire’ and harden ten. In military terms these heavies are sickeningly called ‘thickening or hardening agents’.
They cant remember anything because their attention span doesnt stretch past a gnats ass.
The neuvo-Nazi Chrystia Freeland and the opportunistic clown Justin Trudeau have brought shame and dishonor to Canada which will take a long time to erase.
Canada-born, I’m as appalled as other Canadians on this thread are, but have to say that in addition to the dishonor of this particular action, they are revealing a side of Canada that has been too little acknowledged. There’s a darkness here that we’re just not willing to grapple with.
As a kiwi my government doesn’t represent me anymore than yours represents you or any other canadian.
Our enemies infiltrated and subverted our institutions and now we are held captive
After WW2 Canada welcomed both sorts of Galician (now called W.Ukrainian) refugees: the Jews who had escaped genocide, and the Nazi Ukrainians who had genocided them. Both groups prospered in Canada and reached high office. The two groups also seem to have reconciled their differences the new post-2014 Ukraine, which now has a Nudelman-cookie dual-citizen Jewish-only Presidency directing a Ukronazi army.
Its not the first time but now more in the open. You recall the wars in the former Yugoslavia, on the one hand you had Canadian peacekeepers led by General Mackenzie where they helped negotiate peace. Need I remind all Canadians that Lester B Pearson was the first to introduce peacekeeping forces. However on the other hand you had Canadian CF 18 bombing Bosnia and Serbia. Canada itself has committed war crimes by attacking Yugoslavia through NATO, a breach of NATO own defensive Charter . To think that then Prime Minister Mulroney’s wife was of Serbian background, did not matter.
Justin Trudeau father had open relations with Communist China and the Soviet Umion to the disdain of the U.S. He truly led an independent foreign policy but things have drastically changed since then.
Which of Justin’s fathers, the biological one or the one that raised him? Or both?
I am referring to Pierre Elliot Trudeau, not Fidel Castro. But you forgot Mick Jagger…………
It’s Fidel, my friend, not Mick – forensics…
Christian Lebensraum, so-named to celebrate Hitler’s most odious plans: to depopulate Ukraine so that German settlers would have ‘living room’ to attain a agrarian Master Race paradise. Her grandfather was a bedrock supporter of Bandera, even after Bandera’s assassination. Recently she waved a OUN-B victory scarf around at a rally while chanting Ukrainian slogans. In Edmonton, there are several public monuments erected by Ukrainian-Canadian citizens. They suffer some graffiti vandalism.
Canada has a long history of white racism. For decades, non-white immigrants were denied entry and were suffered active, common place discriminated. Chinese men were recruited to build the western end of the Canadian Pacific main transcontinental rail line. It is said to this day that every mile of the railroad cost at least one Chinese life. Obtaining a visa for a Chinese wife required payment of a huge ‘head tax’ until 1923, when immigration was completely banned.
In Auschwitz, the valuables room where Nazis kept gold teeth and other valuables looted from the victims, was named by the prisoners “Canada”, because it was a land of plenty, but hard to get into.
Reportedly Freeland was trained and embedded by the WEF.
Agree. Let see, today is Friday. On Wednesday, I was watching a BBC report by a top-notch analyst say the UK militants were using the Azovstal Garrison in Mariupol to defeat the morally worn out Russians. The day after, on Thursday, that same idiot, was saying unarmed civilians, wounded people and so many others (no mention of militants)!! were hiding inside the Azovstal underground tunnels because of the persistent Russian assault. There was this huge change of tone that’s incredible.
Indeed, their ability to flip flop constantly is incredible.
“…some truths about “training” of the Ukraine’s Nazi forces by NATO nations is beginning to leak through western media filters…”
Taking into account increased policing of social media space, on top of total MSM control, this will have minimal effect.
What have effect is that Russians destroys yet another NATO proxy, at speed ~30 times faster than it took to be constructed.
What are the chances of NATO to form viable forces in Moldova, when their entrenched elite units fell in months, after decade of preparation? Whoever touch Russian forces in Transnistria, will die quicker than those poor usefull idiots in Donbas cauldron.
There is no doubt that the U.S have decided to expose Russias flank and to keep a supply line to Odessa then Moldova will have to be exploited.
Russia should declare the southern coast to a certain parallel right to transnistria a new independent state and any foreign incursions an act of war.
So any relief of Odessa through Moldova is an act of war and would allow Russia to hit Polish supply lines in Poland.
And so the escalation continues…the stupid Europeans don’t understand that the U.S see them as expendable, if Europeans don’t drag their American puppets out and hang them then ash is their future.
International Neocons determine policy in Europe. Most of its people are victims of media that promotes the neocon agenda. This has been ongoing for many decades and is an adjunct to Operation Mockingbird in America.
One message the USA wouldn’t miss would be the total destruction of their Embassy in Kiev ASAP.
The reason being that USA said the other day that ey would reopen their Embassy. Well bearing in mind that the uSA bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade during that war & claimed it was accidental. Russia should do the same thing & say opps – sorry about that ( Not! )
all this happens only because the Russian are soooo slow..
they could be close to moldavia borders since weeks but preferred to be slow to safe lifes of Nazis 🤮
Unlike the US who, bomb everything to smithereens, build a fort and declare “mission accomplished”, Russia is taking care to conquer for real. They will use the time needed.
The Europeans are not stupid. They are led by politicians who were placed to further Anglo-Zionist objectives.
The developments in Transnistria are disturbing, but… I have to believe that the Romanian/Moldovan Leadership are not so stupid as to seriously think they could successfully conquer it by force.
They have gotta be out of their minds. Putin already threatened to use hypersonic missiles in the event of such a scenario yesterday.
VVP warned the “West” about Russian weapons several years ago; they didn’t listen.
He demonstrated new weapons in Syria; they didn’t listen.
He warned them prior to Xmas 2021; they didn’t listen.
They won’t listen now, they are incapable.
I dunno. Romanian military is pretty strong. If they decided to go all out I’m sure they can take it fairly easily. In an interview yesterday Arestovich talked about this and he said Russia wouldn’t be able to do anything to stop it because he said something to the effect of problems with runways for heavy Russian troop transport plus due to the distance, Russian helicopters and/or planes would have to fly over Ukrainian anti-air territory which would be too risky as Ukrainian Sams would shoot down Russian planes heading there etc. Whether it’s true or not, he feels quite confident about it himself. As you said, Putin seemed to have been implying or anticipating such a thing when he made his statement but he specifically said “strategic threats” and I’m not sure if at the command level they consider PMR as ‘strategic threat’ to Russian security. I would assume they do but in previous doctrinal statements such a thing typically referred to Russian home territory so it’s hard to say exactly what he meant. On top of which a few missiles, hypersonic or not, can’t stop an invading army anyway, all they would do is perhaps harrass the command structure. Only mass boots on the ground can really defend a strategic space.
But I’ve posted yesterday how many troops PMR seems to have, and Russian peacekeepers etc and it seems a strong amount but who knows how large a hypothetical force would be used against them
Romanian military is completely integrated /interoperable with NATO and is probably trained by NATO since well before 2004.
Ongoing detailed sitreps are hugely appreciated.
but that means nothing. we have spent 10 weeks watching the Russian B Team a third the size of the Ukrainian army completely tactically and now physically destroy a NATO army. Ukraine is a fully integrated, trained, armed, geared up and with Comms support and has been for the last 5 years at least. It must be frightening to look at what the Russians have shown to NATO about its own utter ineptness and basically ham fisted ideas about what fighting a war in the 21st Century is actually about. Turns out that bombing 3rd world countries without airforces or modern missile defense systems into oblivion ISN’T what modern warfare is about. I’m glad, it might just save them from making stupid decisions about going toe to toe with RF.
An outsider & non-expert, I nevertheless take your points to be well founded. Indeed, Ukraine’s NATO inter-operable army might actually be more like #1 in Europe–not the airforce or navy of course. Further, though Russia has imposed itself on a much larger, dug in force, Ukraine has fought hard in defense of Ukraine. Not sure Poland, Moldava or Romania will fight anywhere near so tenaciously as Ukrainian forces, including the fanatics, have.
That said, it will be very challenging for Russia to fight at that distance across hostile territory in between. Kalibrs can do a lot; the Kinzhals would probably be for bases, HQs. One or 2 demonstration strikes deep into Poland might cause public alarm, but if it doesn’t stop the attacks, Russia has to decide on a much bigger, or aggressive set of targets, and WWIII is just inches away.
I agree, Russia can not ‘fight one by one all the armies of Europe, will have’ to take sooner or later a drastic decision to try to come out of this situation, also considering the fact that Finland wants to join NATO.
They make stupid decisions all the time, because they are stupid. They do not learn, because they are arrogant.
Well, I guess we do not want to know. If western countries (in this case I cut Rumania and Poland as that, even that as a German I normally consider them East) get involved in the fighting, we are one step closer to all out WW3. That is how the big war startet (before if was called WW1).
Russia can not accept to lose, because then it would be over for them. And they can not avoid to fight if directly challenged. They maybe accept (or even welcome for various reasons) polish military in the east of Ukraine as long as they stay out of reach and do not support any attack. But that might me highly unstable, any casualty one step closer to the end.
@Stefan Bendel: “That is how the big war startet (before if was called WW1).”
I disagree. WW1 started with a slogan chalked up on the British Colonial Office wall in 1900: “Mesopatamia = Oil. Serbia = Gateway to Mesopotamia”. Then 14 years to prepare alliances and logistics; and to brainwash the British sheeple with “Clash of Civilizations” propaganda against “German militarism”.
F.W Engdahl wrote somewhere (in “A Century of War”?) that the first British troops of WW1 were not sent to aid “plucky Belgium” but to grab the Iraqui oil port of Basra.
Follow the money: from a Rothschild war loan to Britain, to British troops in Mesopotamia, to the British Petroleum company “with a half share to His Majesty’s government, to the famous Letter: “Dear Lord Rothschild, His Majesty’s government views with favour the establishment of a National Home for the Jews in Palestine”.
Do not leave out the fact that France also wanted WWI so it could regain Alsace-Lorraine from the Germans. Serbia was not the gateway to Mesopotamia but Tukey was! My grandfather was one of the troops who landed on the 25th April 1915 on the shores of Gallipoli. Hundreds of his comrades never made it off the beach or even off the SS River Clyde. It was the Zionist Churchill who was the author of that fiasco but he got the war against the Ottoman Empire that was wanted by his fellow Zionists. The first appointment as governor of British Palestine was Lord Samuels. No wonder that T.E. Lawrence and the Saudis walked out of his first meeting as governor. The rest is history. My father was posted to British Palestine in the years 1946-47 as a young Royal Military Policeman shot at by both sides. He never forgot his experiences of that conflict or the support that Churchill gave to the Zionist cause. At least my father returned safely to England, many of his comrades did not. A book worth reading on the whole history of Britain’s involvement in the Middle East during the 20th century and Churchill’s active role is: The Controversy of Zion by Douglas Reed. He was a personal secretary to Lord Northcliffe the great newspaper baron of Fleet Street and was a firsthand witness to the strange demise of his boss. Northcliffe was an ardent opponent of Zionism and died in a Swiss sanatorium in mysterious circumstances. The other great figure in the story was Lord Arthur Balfour, whom Northcliffe vehemently opposed. Balfour’s mother was from the Cecil family a distiguished political clan. Churchill’s mother, of course, was a banking heiress from New York. His American mother gave him many connections to US financial figures of importance. He was an ardent Atlanticist as well as Zionist. The American politician Pat Buchanan wrote a very interesting book about Winston Churchill and his involvement in both World Wars. His views on Churchill were far from flattering particularly considering the author’s American background. Buchanan blames Churchill for the loss of the British Empire and British influence post WWII. A very controversial position to hold as most people take for granted Churchill’s pro-Empire leanings. It would appear that Churchill’s political leanings were extremely complex to say the least. He was a Liberal Party member for much of his political career not a Conservative. He jumped ship with the National Liberals under the leadership of Lloyd George when it became obvious that the Liberal Party was in terminal decline. He was an opportunist and a maverick throughout his life. His political career was saved by influential friends on many occasions. Many establishment figures in and outside of the Conservative Party would have preferred Lord Halifax to have become Prime minister in June 1940 as Churchill was not trusted within the Conservative Party. It must be remembered that his predecessors Chamberlain and Baldwin were not pro-American and even some British royals were opposed to Churchill. He also had a big problem holding his alcohol as is obvious in some wartime footage of him. His tactical handling of WWII was very questionable and he proved to be very short sighted and unloyal to key allies. Many of his commanders despaired of his drunken outbursts.
Winston C was a crook according to Dennis Irving “Churchills War” and too H E Barnes “Genesis of the World War”.These Ww1&2 were both layed at the doorstep of the Brits and the French. Both lied and connived to get those wars going.Say for the Poles / Roma’s/ Molts- good luck try to take Tranistria on the orders of your NATO masters,do keep in mind the “Samats” were successfully tested and those “Satan’s” need to be moved out so the “Samats”can be in position.Few well placed Satans with conventional warheads (they are to be replaced any way) and after seeing the aftermath of that hit,no NATO member will do squat other than more sanctions.VVP did state you will experience something like they have never experienced before. So if the RoMoPoles, want to go pass dumb and under stupid-well go brave folks.Salaam.
Very truthful comment. Thanks.
An excellent and concise comment.

I wish them luck with their DARWIN PRICE, delivered by Mr Khinzal, or Mr Kalibr…
NATO expansion into E.Europe was always about this, mobilizing military forces in E.Europe to use them in an aggressive war against Russia – with full US/UK/French/German support, logistics, financing & the rest. Romania involving itself will be the trip wire for NATO to declare it’s member has been attacked – it doesn’t matter who starts what, the minute the RF military destroy anything Romanian, or counterattack into Romania itself, you will see an Article 5 declaration. Forget about the realities of Article 5, that there is no “obligatory” protocol in there, the US will use this as cover to justify an open NATO war against Russia, they will use this to justify pressurising an actual blockade, they will try to rail road the entire world into supporting this – we will see pressure applied like never before. In the end, it will result in the collapse of the US itself, but that is an entirely different story. RF military tactics against Romania is something for professionals to comment on, but from an amateur perspective using basic common sense, RF is not going to want to risk one of its soldiers against them – I suspect RF will treat them with the upmost ruthlessness that will be well deserved, & ensure that the destruction that Romania brings on itself will be permanent, it will not recover. But we will see.
I found this on the Colonel Cassad telegram, hope it’s true:
The President of Moldova admitted that the country is not ready for war and it does not have a combat-ready army.
Maia Sandu stated this a day earlier in her speech on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the General Staff of the National Army.
“For 30 years, the Moldovan army has been left without equipment, without military equipment and combat-ready means. Now we are aware of the consequences,” she admitted.
Sandu added that Moldova “does not have an effective shield against the threat, because it has not developed the proper military potential, has not created critical infrastructure elements and has not cultivated social resilience.”
And today she denied the information that the Romanian military is allegedly in Moldova: “There are no Romanian soldiers and army on the territory of our country”
Yes, Romania leadership is both stupid enough and abjectly submissive enough to do it if Uncle Sam says so. Why not take out the Kogalniceanu base for starters? Then Deveselu…
Those corrupt vermin couldn’t run a newspaper stand.
Sandu herself is a Romanian Passport holder, as well as being a Soros witch. Most of the Moldovan top politicians and higher judiciary, are Romanian citizens also
As they should be. Same way as a lot of Donetsk and Lugansk people are citizens of Russia. What is good for the goose should be good for the gander I think.
The last international conflict around Crimea benefitted Romanians by allowing them to unite the principalities of Wallachia and Moldova. WWI brought the full unification and re-unification of all Romanian occupied territories.
They might be again lucky.
It could be true. But firstly, “there are no Romanians in the country” doesn’t mean anything cus they’re not there *yet* and could be there very soon. Secondly, the statements about not being combat ready is irrelevant IF we are to believe the rumors that it will actually be Romanian army in Moldovan uniforms so to speak by proxy as has been reported in ‘rumors’. Not saying I believe that will happen but hypothetically speaking, if that were the case then the Moldovan president’s statements could still be reconcilable with current events and predictions.
Anyway it’s likely that nothing is set in stone yet but there are furious scramming and negotiations ‘behind the scenes’ in all of these power centers as they are desperate to find any method they can to stop Russian advances. I’m sure as is usually natural, there are many dissenting voices and much ‘pressure’ from other voices higher up the food chain. The situation is likely not resolved among them but units are still being moved into position and readied ‘just in case’, I assume.
“there are no Romanians in the country” doesn’t mean anything”
Or it could mean no Romanians with only one passport — a Romanian one, given the fact that Moldovans ARE Romanians…
if you talk about the peoples, the romanians are from zone A, the moldavians are from zone B.
Don’t forget also that Transylvania (where there were never any gypsy slaves) was integrated into what is now called Romania.
Romanian culture is not suited for this kind of tricks, of dressing in Moldovan uniforms. This is Ukr propaganda to get people all agitated and flustered.
Typical Ukrainian wankers, the forces in the West threatening Transnistria are too chicken shit to go to Maripol and unblock the trapped Azoz creeps, or reinforce the the Donbas front.
Easier to take on some lightly armed Peace Keepers.
As for the Romanians, perhaps some well timed stand off strikes might get them to change their mind. It’d be a shame to invade Transnistria then find your old home reduced to rubble when you got back. That be a shame……:)
exactly this! people talk without fully comprehending that they can be reduced to stone aged with a few precision rockets in some relevant infra spots.
US nuclear bombed Japan twice just to speed up the Japanese surrender.
May be Russia should consider nuclear warheads for unfriendly Ukraine neighboring countries.
I suspect that Russia is ready for them. But I am not sure how smart these lemmings are.
“US nuclear bombed Japan twice just to speed up the Japanese surrender.”
This is an enduring myth. It is factually incorrect and used to hide the facts; the Evil Empire used a uranium based bomb, followed by a plutonium based one, to test them in real world conditions, and as a show of force to Stalin.
The Japanese had been negotiating a surrender but the Allies stalled them.
The day after Nagasaki, Truman issued his first affirmative command regarding the bomb: no more strikes without his express authorization. He never issued the order to drop the bombs, but he did issue the order to stop dropping them.
What utter nonsense. Do you really mean to suggest that the USA dropped two nuclear bombs on Japan without explicit orders from the President, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces? Trumen did give those orders, he was delighted with the results, and he boasted that he didn’t lose a night’s sleep over the consequences.
“The Evil Empire used a uranium based bomb, followed by a plutonium based one, to test them in real world conditions”
I can confirm, I heard the same nearly 50 years ago from physics faculty who worked on the Manhattan Project. Not just to test the explosive yields, but to test the ‘biophysics’, how good they were at killing people. That is why Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed only 3 days apart, they were afraid if they waited longer Japan might surrender before they could do the second test. Also Oppenheimer was Cabal, identified with Shiva, the destroyer (Hindu version of Satan). Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the two most Christian cities in East Asia. For Nagasaki, the Cathedral was literally ground zero. None of this was by accident.
The West has been gradually falling under Satanic cabal control since the Bank of England was established in 1694, or you could go further back to Amsterdam or Venice. This is what A.M. was trying to get at and missed, Nazism is just one of the more modern faces of the cabal.
Shiva, the destroyer (Hindu version of Satan). I think you’ll find neither Hindus nor Buddhists have a version of Satan. They believe in God but not in the same way, they see it as infinite and as such don’t see an anthropomorthic God as possible, as such neither a Satan. A different view to Judao Christian.
Buddhism is atheistic, that means without God(s). Some Tibetans like to play at deism with their boddhisatvas and Tara’s, and the devas feature in some suttas, but there’s no ultimate God or Satan. The figure of Mara comes close: tempter/destroyer but this is a metaphor for ego.
Leave Shiva and Hindus out of the white european spiritual chaos. Shiva is the “destroyer of EGO”, and therfore celebrated as such in Vedic culture. Shiva is the diametrically opposite force of what we in christianity understand as the Satan. OK?
Someone should’ve told Oppenheimer.
I think they choose those cities because of their large christian population.
Thanks for that factoid get.It so sad that folks still get it so wrong. They US bombing was indeed a WW2 war crime. That was the “big burning” together with the fire bombing of Dresden.Salaam.
I did not follow the blog for a couple of days… probably it was reported but to repeat just in case… in the last couple of days military transports by rail were noticed in Croatia. Particularly, around Osijek. I heard later that these trains went through Serbia, which makes sense as Osijek is near the Croatian-Serbian border, and Serbia has some kind of agreement to allow transit of NATO equipment (related to Kosovo etc). The videos broadcasted in media show some light vehicles aka Land Rover and some light armored vehicles on trains. I suppose their destination was Romania and then further probably Moldavia. I do not see why NATO would not further escalate this proxy war using Poles and Romanians, especially now when it is getting hot in Donbas. Romanian soldiers attacking Russian soldiers in Transnistria would make nice excuse for Russia to discipline Romanians.
Romania never did well in WWI and WWII. They kept trying throughout WWI to take Transylvania from Hungary but failed. Only because they switched to the Allied side at the very end of that war were they awarded it, by the west. Transylvania was Hungarian land for over 800 years before that, and the Hungarians say there were no Romanians there when they arrived – only Slavs. There’s also a total lack of historical Romania toponyms.
Perhaps Hungary can take Transylvania if Romania gets caught up in Moldova & Transnistria.
Hungary is keeping its head down and its mouth shut. It know where this is headed.
Keep dreaming about Transylvania! You most likely failed history in school!
Your version of history is FAKE .
Learn your history mister.
Romania in WWI became allied with the Antante forces starting with July 1916. However, it was in the worst situation and left without help, being attacked on three fronts by Austo-Hungarians, Germans, Bulgarians and Turks (all the while relieving the western front by attracting German troops there). It retreated in the east in the province of Moldova (from which the present Republic of Moldova was taken in 1812 by grabby Russian hands) and over there it retrained with the help of the French mission and was also reinforced by Russian troops (Russian and Ukrainians).
The greatest battles in 1917 were fought there, at Marasti, Marasesti and Oituz, which represented the baptism of fire for the modern Romanian military. All along, it was a draw.
As for your nonsense spewed from Hungarian sources, it is just that pure, unadulterated nonsense.
The main difference between Transylvania and Romania (= Modavia + wWallachia) is slavery until 1856 in Romania (!?) = a country of “nazis”
Went on line with the US, didn’t?
The worst though was serfdom of peasantry, which was a result of war and ultimately Ottoman encouragement.
In Transylvania, Romanians didn’t have any legal status, only the Hungarians, Germans and Szekely people were recognized.
I think that Romania my have fielded the most members of any foreign Waffen SS contingent at around 250K.
Romania went against USSR in 1941 to recover Basarabia. It went with its own Army. Romanian citizens of German ethnicity might have joined Waffen SS contingents, but they were Germans, not Romanians. And they paid the price, being provided with scout camps in Siberia after the war…
My English teacher’s (a beautiful German lady tall blonde with blue eyes) father survived such an ordeal (nibbling on dead bodies in the winter did happen).
Strange experience, that of your beautiful English teacher. My wife’s (Romanian) uncle was also on the Russian front and was taken prisoner. He was treated very well then he was transferred to help on a farm in Russia. He has kept only good memories of this period.
Yeah, your beautiful English teacher – and the many thousands of innocent German ethnic Romanian girls and boys, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers – definitely joined the SS, right?
Her father definitely did…
“On top of which a few missiles, hypersonic or not, can’t stop an invading army anyway, all they would do is perhaps harrass the command structure.”
Yes. But the true meaning of such invasion is that a foreign power would be attacking Russian forces in PMR and into open belligerency and, therefore, liable to suffer the consequences. That means the hypersonics would be directed elsewhere to make a demonstration of what they can do to the directing minds. Surely that would be a perfectly legal opportunity to show that NATO is only an image of a paper tiger and offers no protection to any member or, especially to, any new member.
While the best thing it would be for Moldova to re-unite with Romania and Romania to take control of Transnistria, they should not keep it, but exchange it with Russia (imagining here Russia kind of victorious and in control of the entire Black Sea coast of Ukraine, including Odessa) for Budgeac, which was part of Moldova. Fair trade.
I also hope we will get Buceag back. Or be reunite with Moldova, either way.
Romania was wrong (the leaders of that time) to go over Prut, they should of stopped there!
Back then all men went in the Army for 2 years, now we just have a few military, professional military.
Back then people had land and were connected to that land, they fighted for it now people will flee. We and Moldovians… we will not fight this war. With whom? Population is very ill, obese so many, diabetic, heart problems, lots and lots of things in young people. Others don’t have energy, are letharging many youngsters, they are totally obsessed with Social Media I don’t see them fighting :)
National Day in Romania, last year, this detachment of soldiers asked forgivness for how embarasment their parade was, take a look it will be fun
Ups and we have 1700 fat generals
The lack of coordination was the problem in the video, is like Benny Hill
Valeria, you wrote so many post how much you are on the side of Russia. But now the possibility of grabbing the lands of Budjak and Moldova is a good thing , isn’t it? Grabbing those lands would be attack on Russia behind our backs. Is that clear?
The way the things evolve on some comments, I wouldn’t be surprised if Poland eventually comes on Russian side by taking Galichina!
I don’t understand exactly what you meant. So to be clear on my side:
In this war I am pro Russia, I consider Russia to be the light in this world. I very much admire Russia and Russians, I root for them. I also have lots of Russian dna, kinda 70% – mongolian and slavic. So.. the blood call kinda.
I am also Romanian. I love my country. Sad to see traidors that sell our country, don’t make the best alliencies in the interest of our nation. Now in EU, if you say you are patriot, you are … you name it all the bad things. Of course I love my country but also I am objective, I see the wrongs some traidors do and the wrongs they do, we have an immense potential and at one point I hope we will use it and make the best alliencies (with Russia in my point of view of course). The fact some traidors that serve interests of others not of the Romanians do bad things for Russia… is the traidors, they betray us, Romanians and yes we let them do it as many are so cowards. They are, just say ooo we mind our own business… yep this always worked, cowards, I a very frustrated with these things, especially as I am not coward, but maybe it is because I have different dna than majority? Still I am Romanian and wish we start being proud and not cowards and be true to ourselves, still far away now, but I will not lose hope. If I will, will relocate if possible in Russia as in there it seems people still have a spine!!! Maybe I dont belong and will find a place where I do. But so far I did not lost hope in Romania.
Of course I want to see Buceag in Romania, it is Romanian, is our ancestor land and some time in the future now or in time I hope it will be reunited with Romania. When we will get rid of the traidors and be the ones we suppose to be. It is out land.
Russia doesnt need Buceag, needs Odessa and till there and also Transnistria that is not Romanian, is Russian and rightful there.
Even if Russia will take Buceag for now, I will not hate Russia, but still will wish to come a time in the future when Buceag wiill be reunited with Romania.
People that now are in power, they are not acting in the benefit of Romania, they just care about their money and will leave the country to go to Florida etc. They sold us as always some did. I dont understand why in our country we always have these traidors, I refuse to believe this is what we deserve.
Buceag will be Romanian, now or 200 year from now. This has nothijg to do with Russia, or with me rooting for Russia. I stand for the truth and if our traidors politicians do bad things, of course we will not have our reunification and what for? For them to have more land to steal and sell and give to others? Now everything in Romania is sold, belongs to others. SO I want Buceag to come to Romania, but after we will nationalise and take our country back and run it in the best interest of the citizens, not faster, as it will be looted. We dont deserve it now unfurtonatelly but… Moldova maybe it soes??
Mi-e rusine de rusinea lor…
What makes you think NATO-losers would intervene now? they had ample opportunity in the beginning of the SMO. Against a battle hardened Russian Army, I really don’t see it happening. What I see is rather a typical ‘diversion’ tactic to make it look like something is going to happen, but its really a decoy smoke and mirrors setup
to spread the Russian army on the battle field.
At-least that’s my first impression. I could be completely wrong though.
Also something of note: The shitty Turkish Drones are getting knocked out by inexpensive EW. I wonder if the ‘propaganda’ of many countries showing interest in them is just a marketing BS by the Turks.
Hypersonics are weapons of the yesterday headlines. While his Moscow-speech Putin spoke about a new weapon system (artillery shells, bombs, rockets) without radioactive radiation. An everyday nuklear GAMECHANGER for a time, basing on a new physical principle.. No chance for Poland, no chance for Romania, no chance for NATO, no chance for the broken western world.
Thank YOU, Nightvision, for YOUR perfect Sitreps.
See: YouTube – How the “Dagger” missile managed to penetrate a bunker designed for a direct
hit by an atomic bomb
NewsFromRus April 3
It penetrated 60 meters of reinforced concrete. Could have have done 100 meters.
Unless Romanian politicians will sanction and obey an US/NATO order, there should not be any reason why Romanian army or the non existing Moldavian one should attack Transnistria. That territory was never ever (I mean like in none of the ever recorded history) a “Romanian” territory. In fact I never understood myself why Moldavia (and Romania for that mater) never recognized that republic. If would have distanced themselves from it completely, put the border on the Nistru river and all is settled.
But hey, this is an ideal scenario – the reality is that the Romania politicians did not had the guts to say to Zelbinsky (or whatever is his name): #go fuck yourself! First give Chernivtsi and norther Bukovina area back and only after call for help”.
Any Romanian (or Polish) intervention would have very serious repercussions on the NATO structure. I can assure you that a direct intervention by a NATO country would create enormous political problems in Italy on the role of my country in the military alliance (I’m Italian). Not to mention the political problems it would create in France or Turkey…
You “dunno”? Really? With all due respect for your huge contribution, please don’t dumb down these proceedings with such inarticulate millennial phrasing. Thank you.
You write “with all due respect…”
Nah,I don’t think so.
Your post is very disrespectful.
Criticizing a single word like that only shows that you obviously don’t like what he writes, but you don’t have anything intelligent to say to contradict it.
From the mod:
Now please Folks, get back on topic.
You might be stretching it a bit, the Romanian army may be ‘capable” but would not term it as strong. They are still using T-55 tanks and Romanian made tanks which have been upgraded. However, they were upgraded by NATO troops and armor that was reportedly shipped from Kosovo and Bulgaria.
If they were to invade along with Moldavia, they would be opening up another can of worms. Active troops in Romania are only about 68,000 or so not including reserves but obviously bolstered by NATO troops lately.
“Russian helicopters and/or planes would have to fly over Ukrainian anti-air territory which would be too risky as Ukrainian Sams would shoot down Russian planes heading there etc.”
Before any air assault, no matter from what direction, would without question be preceded by stand-off attacks to neutralize Ukrainian anti-air capability. Beyond that, any air assault could come in over Moldova, and I would guess the Moldovans, not being NATO members and not wanting to be victims of the shitshow, would protest, but would not engage Russian forces. That would enable a serious air assault against massed ***Romanian forces*** reported to be in Moldova in Moldovan uniforms.
The situation is complicated. I’m not a military expert by any means, but I have heard that Russia has deployed only 20% of their military and has used their air force very sparingly. So I expect that they have resources and a plan for dealing with the Transnistria situation.
And all involved parties — NATO, Ukraine, Romania, and unhappily-close-by-Moldova — must know that, and factor it into whatever they might think of trying.
For what it’s worth …
Problem is thepeople giving them orders ARE out of their minds, its got to the stage where they have to be put down like the rabid Dogs they are.
How about the 3 Kalibr Wise Men visit to test that Missile Defence System in Romania that’s purportedly pointing at Iran?
That is going to take canned sunshine over DC, London, Martha’s Vineyard and several chateaus to get the message across.
Seems suicidal and stupid for them to attack Transdnistria. Moldova would get hit badly as well. Russia isn’t going to sit idly by and watch Russian peacekeepers get murdered. Look at what happened in Georgia in 2008. Besides, if Poland goes into ukraine outside of NATO mandate, its forces will be clobbered and Russia won’t have to worry about any NATO retaliation.
What options does the US and NATO have? Take Russian deal from December of 2021, watch Russia absorb big part of ukraine, or confront Russia and eventually die in a nuclear blast.
You really would think the Romanians would have some memory of the last time they attacked Russia.
“Margarita Semonyan, head of RT/Sputnik, added her voice to the mix. Western critics and some pro-Russian ‘maximalists’ believe she’s slowly softening the Russian public for the eventual acceptance of nuclear use”
Unlike us in the West, the Russians actually hold nuclear preparation drills for their entire population on a regular basis. In addition, every city has massive underground bunkers ready to protect the city’s population should the day ever arrive.
They speak like this because they’re confident, or over-confident in their ability to take a full on nuclear strike, and still exist and operate as a society. We in the west think of such a possibility as horrendously unimaginable because the last time we were concerned with nuclear war drills and preparation was over half a century ago when kids used to dive under their school desks and cover their heads a couple of times a year.
The west needs to realize that the Russians think, whether justifiably or not, that they are capable of riding out an actual nuclear war. Once this simple fact is embedded in the mind’s of western analysts and decision makers, then and only then should they strategize on what to do next.
As it stands the world is headed for a catastrophe of biblical proportions, and there doesn’t seem to be anyone in power to pull us back.
Unfortunately; you are correct. I believe that Russia’s civil defense posture and doctrine is credible. The paucity of civilian fatalities in Ukraine where people have sought refuge in shelters demonstrates this. Similar military confrontation in an American city would kill ten times as many people.
Russia’s industrial infrastructure would not ride out a nuclear strike as easily as people. Russia would become extremely weakened compared to its neighbors. A reserve of nuclear weapons to deter aggression and extort assistance would be neccessarry.
The bottom line is that this war is as dangerous as it was unnecessary. Never since Hiroshima and Nagasaki has the world been so close to nuclear war. The US incited Ukraine to provoke Russia. Leautenant Colonel Alexander Vindman is largely responsible for this.
Something no one talks about, but it is likely they are correct. Nuclear war has been portrayed in the West for nearly 80 years as unsurvivable and that propaganda has taken root. But it is probably not the reality. In all likelihood after several exchanges there would be a natural pause that would become permanent as the scope of the damage became apparent: a few strikes confined to military assets with less than a few hundred thousand dead. Not exactly the stuff that brings down civilizations, but certainly enough to focus the minds of those in power of the fragility of that power.
In any event, initial strikes will be confined to battlefields and military assets, not the city busting nukes everybody has been taught to fear. It could easily get out of hand, of course, but that is a percentage game.
I disagree- Strikes on the electricity/gas system of a country and directly on its Parliament buildings would do more to bring peace than bombings its military as they fight in some other country. The Armed Forces just do as the politicians tell them, the people don’t, they march on Parliament.
Romanians fighting in Transistria should be an invitation to a country with no electrical or gas power, and leveling the seat of power would be a disincentive to other country’s politicians about getting involved.
respectfully, Audrey, I don’t believe nuclear war is survivable in any meaningful sense. look at the pictures of Hiroshima, Little Boy was a 15 ton bomb. Sarmat can carry 10 to 16 nuclear warheads, 25 million tons. I believe that’s 1600 Little Boys. God help us all if it comes to that.
US intelligence is an oxymoron.
U.S. intelligence agents are some of the best in the world. The problem is that their leadership, and by extension, the political leadership of the country is lead by purely political animals who act and think in terms of polls, access and money, with almost zero nuanced geopolitical thought whatsoever.
Something about lions being led by donkeys.
International Neocons control, or make up, the leadership you mention, as well as such in Europe and elsewhere. The neocon agenda subsumes East and West, which is another hot button used by them to divide & conquer their way to increasing world domination. This fact must be understood.
As I said- and you demonstrated so well – no intelligence – what so ever.
Being that they work for the Satanic cult that runs the U.S. “government” they’re obviously not “some of the best in the world”; they’re merely morons and criminals.
….U.S. intelligence agents are some of the best in the world…..
SIG Intel is top notch but HUM Intel is an embarrassment. If you don‘t even know the local language …..
“U.S. intelligence agents are some of the best in the world”.
Of course, of course… US *everything* is the best in the world! And, of course, the best there has *ever* been.
Just like the US armed forces.
The Nazis, are not allowed by their Ashkenazi overlords to blow up the Rooskie gas pipelines crossing 404.
The Nazis under the Asovstal industrial plant are still begging for “the extraction mechanism to be implemented”, as if some “mechanism” exists. (Exact location of the bunkers are known now, and precise bombings are in fact taking the specific bunkers out)
I myself have never known a Rooskie to be “offensive”, but if a “Rooskie offensive” ever happens I am very interested in seeing it!
Never heard of a “Rooskie offensive”? You should read on on how the Soviets destroyed the German Army Group Center in Operation Bagration, as well as how the Soviets finally crushed the life out of the Third Reich in the Battle of Berlin
The “Rooskies” killed 80% of all the Nazis who died on the battlefield in WW2. While it is not being reported in the West, the Rooskies are annihilating the UAF in Donbass at present.
False information from ussr (Satan’s first hold upon modern humanity)
Firstly it was lend lease especially the trucks that enabled bagration else well as the west’s destruction of the luftwaffe since 42.
Abd FYI allies took out more wehrmacht troops than ussr. Just add up prisoners.
The difference propaganda glossed over us that eastern front was a long slogging match causing lots of casualties.
But western front was decisive resulting in far more prisoners.
Add to the allies took out more troops. Most of the airforce and all the kriegsmarine…
By the way NV, an amazingly detailed sitrep. The basis for a future book?
Thanks, don’t flatter me too much now! That might be too lofty an ambition for little old me, I just try to keep people informed in the sea of unprecedented propaganda from the ‘west’.
Please do make & preserve a backup / export / local copy. If things go in the terrible escalation that the EOL keeps pushing, we might need such history in the future
Truly, great job, and concise. I try to follow https://www.youtube.com/c/DefensePoliticsAsia but it is a struggle. You are much more concise.
Thank you for the real info!
I just try to keep people informed in the sea of unprecedented propaganda from the ‘west’.
And thank you very much for it!
No, Nightvision, you’re definitely NOT “little old me.” Your excellent repots are appreciated by everyone here, as people keep saying over and over. Thank you soooo much for them.
Reading your Sitreps always makes me think of young Ernest Hemingway’s write-ups from he Italian front in WWI. No fancy crap, no embellishments IMO, just beautifully simple descriptions of the war horrors.
Please do consider publishing such a book. We’d all love to read a 2022 version of A Farewell to Arms, or such, including your version of Hemingway’s superb WWI short stories.
If Romania is stupid enough to try to take Tiraspol it will give Russia the perfect excuse to take out the provoxative NATO missile base in Romania.
This is sadly similar to how both WWI and WWII started locally but spilled over into adjacent countries.
@ David Sant
“This is sadly similar to how both WWI… started locally…”
Some similarities do unfold around the same region where 110 years ago the Great War started. There are big differences though, namely the tangled web of cross alliances then ensnaring the participants whereas here the fields are starkly marked: US v Russia. However the fields are horrendously unbalanced: team US made up of 30-odd countries plus assorted assistants (non-NATO US allies and “partners for peace”) – altogether about 50 countries with a combined population of at least 1,5 billion – against Russia alone with 1/10 of the population. If there was ever such unequal contest in human history I have not known.
You have to take off your hat to plucky Russia for shirtfronting the mammoth Hegemon. Yet, as in 1941-45, her sons and daughters will again if needed rise to the heights of valour and courage arrayed by their grandparents on and off the fields of battle. Rodina-mat’ zovyot! Motherland is calling!
Numbers don’t count. I remember seeing an old 1939 French wartime poster of the Axix powers faced with the massive Britsih and French empires and something like “How can we lose?” underneath. It did not turn out that way. The West is broken – the younger populations (who would have to do the fighting) are made up of a hotch potch of competing ethnicities who hate each other far more than any outside enemy. Most of the “natives” are brain dead if not drugged up to the eyeballs and the professional armies have difficulty filling the few fighting brigades. These were no match for lightly armed Afghans. There is no way Russia would lose an all out war.
I do not understand what the motivation of the Ukrainian regulars is to fight? For the Ukrainian mafia oligarchs, the anglo/zionist cabal – it cannot be for that idiot occultist comedian that passes off as the president?
It is very sad that these conscript soldiers are used as cannon fodder – the fanatics and mercs do not deserve mercy but regular troops are being destroyed for the benefit of the globalist empire of chaos.
I suspect that soon there we be a mass surrender – hopefully sooner than later – that maybe when Poland and Romanian are pushed into war with Russia by a desperate US. The Romanians may or may not have learned any lessons from the destruction of their divisions outside of Stalingrad.
As for Russia I see no way out other than a complete occupation of the Ukraine right up to the Polish and Romanian border – the US and its nato tools must be fully expelled.
Problem with that is Western Ukraine is a toxic swamp of Banderaism, why would Russia want that? but i could see Russia taking half of Ukraine up to the Dnieper and maybe just beyond.
I think I remember a similar question from you and answered in the past. No, Western Ukraine is just Western Ukraine. “a toxic swamp of Banderaism” is just the thing that’s occupying Western Ukraine. You’re not differentiating the physical space from the people in that physical space. Russia would want the physical territory of Western Ukraine (land, airspace, natural resources from the land), not “a toxic swamp of Banderaism” in it. If Russia doesn’t want “a toxic swamp of Banderaism”, then Russia would need to destroy that and occupy the entire Ukraine to make sure that “a toxic swamp of Banderaism” can breed anymore. If you don’t want something, you need to destroy it so that it doesn’t exist and have control over it so that it can’t revive, rather than avoid it. That’s how to survive in this world.
You need to ask yourself in reverse. Why would Russia want only half of Ukraine so that NATO deploys more weapons in the other half of Ukraine to be used to attack Russia? Why would Russia want to have “a toxic swamp of Banderaism” as their neighbor?
Chechenia used to be a toxic swamp of something but it isn’t any more….Swamp draining is difficult but not impossible.
This is why the Russian SMO started the way that it did on February 24, with strict orders from Putin not to bomb any troop concentrations. Russia specifically did not strike any AFU bases or troops because Putin’s message to the regular troops was “our fight is not with you, it’s with the leadership and Nazis / nationalist battalions”.
But unfortunately this didn’t work as the clamp that the CIA has on Ukrainian leadership is too strong and Russia now had no choice but to go to Plan B which is complete destruction of the armed forces. The best they can do now is just surrender and spare their own lives, Russia could likely be lenient towards the regulars.
No reason to be lenient to any Ukrainian troops, regular or otherwise, unless they surrender and soon at that.
A lot want to surrender but risk getting shot by their own side.
It is pretty sad. Many of the conscripts and regular army are poor men and old men. Some of them are there for a paycheck. Some of them are on drugs. Anyone with money left the country or buys their way out. One young guy said it was a $1200 bribe to get out of service. The Ukrainain leadership and govt are evil vermin.
The only ones who want to fight are nazis and idiots.
NV: The ‘clamp’ affecting the common leader and follower alike is International Neocon media control in much of the world, East and West. Anything not gotten that way is taken by bullying and bribing, or burying. They are a Crime Syndicate Cult.
The incentive is that they will be shot in the back or their families punished if they do not continue to fight.
Hence the mass surrenders whenever the opportunity presents itself. It is what any rational person would do.
We know that both sides are controlled by the same people – the oligarchs in Russia and Ukraine share backgrounds. They must have decided that this war is the simplest way to the great reset. Look at the way Z is both the Ukraine president and the invasion. Putin and Zelensky will be told to escalate until their owners have what they want
if you actually think “oligarchs” control Russia or Putin then you have no idea about how Russia works, you’re just repeating bland CNN platitudes.
There’s no thought in his post, Nightvision. Just some vague conspiracy theory tied together by the letter Z. Surprised he made it past the moderator.
The Military Situation In The Ukraine
April 1, 2022 Jacques Baud
Part One: The Road To War
“In fact, the army was undermined by the corruption of its cadres and no longer enjoyed the support of the population. According to a British Home Office report, in the March/April 2014 recall of reservists, 70 percent did not show up for the first session, 80 percent for the second, 90 percent for the third, and 95 percent for the fourth. In October/November 2017, 70% of conscripts did not show up for the “Fall 2017” recall campaign. This is not counting suicides and desertions (often over to the autonomists), which reached up to 30 percent of the workforce in the ATO area. Young Ukrainians refused to go and fight in the Donbass and preferred emigration, which also explains, at least partially, the demographic deficit of the country.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense then turned to NATO to help make its armed forces more “attractive.” Having already worked on similar projects within the framework of the United Nations, I was asked by NATO to participate in a program to restore the image of the Ukrainian armed forces. But this is a long-term process and the Ukrainians wanted to move quickly.
So, to compensate for the lack of soldiers, the Ukrainian government resorted to paramilitary militias. They are essentially composed of foreign mercenaries, often extreme right-wing militants. In 2020, they constituted about 40 percent of the Ukrainian forces and numbered about 102,000 men, according to Reuters. They were armed, financed and trained by the United States, Great Britain, Canada and France. There were more than 19 nationalities—including Swiss.”
That was then. Maybe now there is more nationalistic pride and willingness to fight but this piece by a well-informed author shows that there is no deep-seated antipathy between most Ukrainians and those in Donbass and therefore also Russians. Certainly not in those parts of Eastern Ukraine where the majority speak Russian as their first language.
Ukraine is a battle ground in a world war. The West can keep shipping in weapons and perhaps also new troops (Poland possible initiative, Turkey etc.). So they have resources from outside that relatively contained battlefield which presumably can more than outlast the Russian resources. At least that is the thinking, presumably.
This proxy war is happening because both sides feel they can win. Until one side no longer feels that way, the war will continue though it seems without much enthusiasm on the part of most Ukrainians not in Donbass. But what’s happening in Ukraine is not really about Ukraine….
”The Romanians may or may not have learned any lessons from the destruction of their divisions outside of Stalingrad”.
Romanians don’t want war here, or to send troups or else, we should never had to pass over Nistru it was a result of the TRAIDORS in Romania, we had back then a German King and we did what Germany wanted.
Now our politicians have other masters and they do just that: what their masters say, not what is in the best interest of the country.
Fortunatelly the secret services in Romania (I know we don’t have agency but inside the country services are running the country) – they don’t want this war either, or majority of them don’t want it. Even if US puppets politicians try some things. Many in services are patriots and very smart. So far they managed to debunk all US attempts to put Romania in this war.
I said it and will say it again: if they will put us in this war, Romanians will first go after the politicians that did this. Now we are not in ww2 anymore to be so easily manipulated, information is everywhere.
Defense Ministry yesterday denied the info that US troups move to Ukraine in Romania, we know if they denied it is true: https://www.defenseromania.ro/mapn-semnaleaza-un-nou-fake-news-blindate-americane-stryker-se-deplaseaza-prin-romania-catre-ucraina_616189.html – they say is just training :))))
Some other news say Nostradamus said Romania will be conquered by Russia – this is put here to stress some people for sure https://www.national.ro/news/profetiile-lui-nostradamus-romania-cucerita-de-rusia-ce-soarta-vor-avea-america-si-marea-britanie-760940.html
Even Romanians with an extreme level of Rusophobia say that if Russia nukes the Parliament house when it is a session we will forgive them for this :). Also I guess many will for Desevelu, Kogalniceanu , Campia Turzii etc. – the bases are not Romanian land, the suveranity there belongs to US, so pretty much many of us feel very frustrated by this, to be under occupation, because we are, we are a country occupied by US.
My hope is that they live us, they set a precendent with Afghanistan and others, maybe we will be as lucky to see them live?
Nightvision’s sitreps give a much better idea of what’s going on day to day – for me at least – than anything else I’ve seen. I always easgerly await them. However, what is going on the West is really worrying. The idea of a Polish “peacekeeping force moving into the areas taken from Poland after WW2, seems increasingly likely. I cannot believe it is just a matter of Poland taking advantage of the inevitable disintegration of Ukraine. Surely this could also be a move to allow the Ukrainian forces in the west to regroup under a NATO umbrella and prepare some form of counter-attack to relieve the Donbass? Not that it would any chance of success, but it could prolong the war – at least that would be NATO’s thinking. Also, what pressure can be exerted on the Moldovan leadership to attack Transnistria? Ukraine’s government evidently could not care less about Ukraine’s people with their loyalties very much elsewhere. (It’s interesting they are already preparing to jump ship with all they’ve looted to London). But is Moldova’s government as easily bought/ I have no doubt that my perfidious British compatriots and their Washington overlords are planning all sorts of skulggery. As for Mariupol, I can’t wait to find out how many NATO officers are really there and what they have to say – at least those that get out alive. I would not be surprised though if they are killed off by their own governments in some false flag chemical attack blamed on the Russians. They are really caught between the devil and and the deep blue sea.
” I would not be surprised though if they are killed off by their own governments in some false flag chemical attack blamed on the Russians.”
Impossible I would bet, as RF have a lock on Mariupol.
I hope you’re right, but it would be probabaly be easier to get a handful of well trained operatives (disguised as Russians) in than anyone out. Western special services were likely directly involved in the false flags in Syria and – so far as I know – got away. With enough financial incentive, I wouldn’t rule it out. I would put nothing past the corrupt sociopaths who’ve been put in charge of the West.
“All that they occupy we will return, it is a question of weapons, if we have enough of them – we will immediately begin to return the occupied territories”
Zelensky, the restrained.
Machines, whether sophisticated weapons or state-of-the-art equipment, do not fight autonomously and by themselves. Not yet, fortunately.
It takes people to operate them, or program them, even from a distance.
After all, it is the infantry, the soldier with his boot on the ground, who finish the occupation of the terrain. Without this, victory is not complete.
Without human labor, not even wars can succeed.
All the billions of dollars and increasing arms shipments from the U.S. to Ukraine will be in vain, if there are no longer enough soldiers to translate them into action on the battlefield.
Russia knows this all too well. And it is gradually suffocating the remaining Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the same time, it is cooking Europe in a slow fire, leading it to economic starvation due to the lack of Russian gas.
Or to obtain it, it is led to strengthen the Russian currency, through payment in Rubles, in a cunning reversal of the sanctions imposed on Russia.
In this sense, this is also an exasperating war of nerves. Russia is not hurry, time is on her side.
On the other hand, every act of the US (by its proxy war) against Russia is also another step to the edge of the abyss of nuclear armageddon.
What a nerve!
PS: @NightVision SitReps are a light dispelling the fog of war. Excellent and indispensable work!
It only briefly crossed my radar, but I thought VVP suggested to Guterres that Russia, who was ready to do so, send the Red Cross down into the Mariupol bowels to extract and care for the civilians… did Guterres simply leave that on the table, does anyone know?
I am incredulous at the apparent failure to make the welfare of the civilians in Azovstal a priority.
To me the fact that the Azov fellow with his pleas for extraction speaks more or less blandly of civilians that he and his pals are holding hostage there—he doesn’t seem to be aware of saying anything wrong.
Where he should be saying: We will bring all civilians to such and such a place where the International Red Cross can receive them.
That is his first responsibility.
But instead he wants himself and his pals to be extracted and is just using the civs as maybe an excuse for his own skin to be saved.
A very bad look.
Is anyone in the West noticing this?
I don’t get it.
Has someone sent this fellow a clear message: Civilians safely delivered to Red Cross first, then we’ll talk about you.
Yes it is absolutely ridiculous that Azov is asking to be extracted without even offering to free the civilian hostages. But keep in mind many in the West believe the lies, that the civilians at Azovstal are not hostages, but went there to escape Russian shelling. Many in the West have not heard, or don’t believe, that Russia has opened many humanitarian corridors, nor that they have repeatedly offered the Ukronazis hold up in Azovstal, to surrender with their lives spared.
He must believe that he holds some cards, whether information or civilians, that is valuable. Ukro gov obviously wants them dead, including the civilians so they can blame the Russians; only Russia cares about saving the lives of these civilians, which is why they are trying to wait them out.
Most don’t even knows how a “human corridor” works. It’s not in NATO’s dictionary.
After reading the Ukrainian cannabalism incident this AM (link below), those civilians might be walking field rations for the Azov gang.
Take it for what it is worth
Thank you very much Nightvision.
Rewriting and re-fighting World War 2
The Russian side sees the conflict over the Ukraine as identical with the Great Patriotic War. They share the same purpose and enemy. A war not for Russia but against Fascism. Symbols and monuments have taken on a dual meaning, equally standing for the war of 1941-45 and the war of 2014-22.
Fascist Ukrainian nationalism wants to rewrite World War 2 as a fight between a united West and a barbaric East. The original was a failure, so it must be redone. Euromaidan was a the new Barbarossa 2.0. NATO is the new Third Reich. Donbass is the new Eastern Front.
Real World War 2 history is now history of the enemy, so it must be undone. Victory Day is now victory of the enemy, so it must not be celebrated. Anti-Fascist symbols must be banned. World War II monuments must be destroyed and graves desecrated.
Given a clear choice, the West has now sided with Hitler. The yellow-blue flag has become the new Swastika.
I posted this on Facebook with a link to the music video «ДОНБАСС ЗА НАМИ» (Donbass is for us). The YouTube channel supports the original artists, so just endure the annoying ads.
Just before Russia started liberating the Donbass on the 24th of February, I predicted, on a couple of channels, that before the end of the year the Swastika would have become an acceptable political expression again, in Europe.
We are only still in April now, and the horror you describe is sadly perfectly accurate, and to my own amazement what I felt coming in February now seems to become reality — and becoming reality even with greater speed than I could have feared.
If Russia doesn’t get this job done, thoroughly, I fear Europe may be Ukronized. In other words — Russia, please save Europe from the Nazis.
I love this song and video. Bit chute has a version with English subtitles which I have included. They also have a a version of the original studio recording which is amazing
The Memorial in the background is striking. Where is this Memorial?
Also is that a Saker Falcon in the opening moments?
“Saur Mogila (Saur Grave)–one shot of it is from roughly 2015-2016 when it was completely destroyed by war. Now it is partially restored and the girls sing there.”
See Andrei Martyanov’s comment:
There are three monuments in the video.
One is Saur Mogila, a hill in DPR near the Russian border. It was a scene of heavy battles in WW2, therefore the memorial. It again played a crucial role in forming Southern Cauldron 1.0 in July 2014. It then changed hands multiple times. The obelisk collapsed on August 21, 2014.
The “striking” monument in the background is central Donetsk. The monument is part of a museum of WW2 history. The tank park with the T-34 is part of the same complex. There was also a T-54 that went to war in 2014.
The third monument is the Debaltsevo railway station. It was heavily damaged in WW2 and never rebuilt in its original form until the 2000s. The railway station was still quite a mess when I was there in 2016, but now everything seems to be in order.
See this for more information:
The painting shown is inside the station. Here is a description: “The train station in Debaltseve is ours.” Canvas. Oil. Ivan Ryzhkov, 1947 Painting dedicated to the liberation of Debaltseve from the Nazis
I was looking for the painting of the railway station and found this:

Thank you so much ! Looking forward to reading your links
The International Neocon is not the “same enemy” as in WWII. It will use Hammer & Sickle or Swastika, depending on needs of the moment, to manipulate its way to power, always by deception.
After World War II many Nazis continued to occupy key points in West Germany. Specifically in the Ministry of Justice.
This can be seen in the Rosenburg Report:
For example, Ursula von der Leyen (current President of the European Commission) is the daughter of Ernst Albrecht, who also held positions in the European Commission.
In the 1950s, the CDU (Christian Democratic Union) of Lower Saxony admitted members of the German far-right Reich party and the Reich Socialist Party into its ranks.
Ernst Albrecht was one of the politicians elected by the CDU as governor of Lower Saxony between 1976 and 1990, with a blatant tendency toward Nazi ideology.
《The state government under Ernst Albrecht used every opportunity to court former Nazis. In a 1978 speech, Deputy Premier Wilfried Hasselmann (CDU) greeted the Association of Knight’s Cross Recipients, a league of former Wehrmacht (Hitler’s army) officers and SS men, certifying that they had “shown courage and given an example to others”. Hasselmann declared he was “deeply impressed by the solidarity of your order. You have fulfilled your duty as soldiers in an exemplary manner. This will continue to be evident to a younger generation”.》
Hmmm……I thought there was something not quite right with Ursula. Now, thanks to your information, I’m certain of it. She has obviously been brain washed into hate from a tender age.
Nazi-Facism is a beast always in heat, so its herds of puppies are everywhere.
Between 1932 and 1937, Brazil had the largest Nazi party outside Germany: the Ação Integralista Brasileira.
Besides being a country built on slavery, until today the majority of the population descending from the blacks kidnapped from Africa is submitted to all kinds of discrimination.
Fascism is part of the Brazilian ruling class, with the Bolsonaro government being the current example of this.
On 04/25/2022, a 12 year old Yanomami girl died after being raped by miners.
This is not an isolated case, indigenous and poor black people suffer a systematic massacre in Brazil. We also have the Brazilian Donbass.
Night vision what are Russia plans to forestall
The impending attack in Transnistra.Any update on the stavka plan of action
I doubt that the NATO rats are going to go into ukraine. They have already been warned by Putin about the consequences of doing so. They are just desperately trying to ramp up their lend lease and training BS.
Did you see the video of about a week ago, of a former Azovstal employee, who was pointing out (on a laptop) where the main entrance to the catacombs was.
Where he pointed at was the giant structure to the North of the one on your image, part of which is visible. He also pointed out where, from there, the catacombs split to left and right.
I think I downloaded that video — if you want it, let me know.
Yep, thanks, it was in my last sitrep, along with the captured Azov rat who also pointed out where his masters are hidden underground on a map.
Polish intervention, especially one which may pit it against nationalists, or sideline them, would be dangerous and could very well lead to open fighting between nationalist units, and Polish troops. And since these hard-core ukronazis also hate Poles, things could get interesting. Any type of intervention in ukraine from Poland would have to be agreed to with Russia as part of a division of urkaine.
I agree. Will be very risky for Poland do such operation.
Maybe there are some kind of talks with Russia about future partition.
Talks about restoring their Gas supply maybe. lol
An excellent point. There is also the larger issue as to whether Ukraine as a viable unit actually exists any more. If the Russians pulled out tomorrow, would he country not fall into chaos split between competing factions with various neighbours seeking to grab areas which they consider historically part of their territory? That said, nver underestimate the stupidity of the ruling elite.
Where would the Ultranationists get their weapons from if a civil war were to break out in an expanded Poland?
“…why shouldn’t they take the Western part of Ukraine? Russia certainly doesn’t want it and it could be a good ‘compromise’ if something is worked out on the back end.”
Wait for Russia to finish the job in the Donbass before letting NATO tiptoe in. The tiptoeing would soon become a stampede. Most average Ukrainians will appreciate their liberation when it’s over, especially if Russia extends pipeline transition past 2025. They won’t be happy if Putin hands over part of their country to Poland, especially as they are likely to become a land-locked country. It will be great if Ukraine turns on the West after all the sacrifices they’ve made for Ukraine.
I posted a few moments ago but, after reading the comments, I felt compelled to add a couple of my thoughts to the mix.
First up, I don´t think the Russians are playing, at all. President Putin said they gamed it out before it started, the SMO. They crossed their T´s and dotted their I´s. They were ready and they did it because there was no choice.
Prior to the SMO, they made it clear that there was a whole bunch of house cleaning that would shortly ensue. Ukraine in total, was just one problem and that Russia was perfectly willing to use Military Technical means to do it, to complete their list of cleaning necessities. All of that, was repeatedly stated before God and everybody.
So what am I saying? I am saying, if Poland wants to set up shop in Western Ukraine, they will be hit very hard and nonstop. If Romania goes into some place that are not supposed to be, they are going to get it in aces, nonstop too. There are no limits anymore. It´s the big sandbox and probably only the grace of The Creator has kept the carnage localized. I see a lot of danger coming into play now. You have to be completely insensitive not to feel it.
Russia knew what it was getting into and they are not going to put with crap from peons and craizies. The idiots were warned yesterday by President Putin. My advise is they REALLY need to listen up. My take folks.
In Mariupol we see images of great destruction and we know what Ukraine says about civilian deaths there, but is there Russian information on how many civilians died there and about the large destruction itself? At some point, I figure that most civilians must have left this city.
I’ve seen some numbers thrown around, though none I can unequivocally trust. But I’m sure it’s at least in the hundreds if not over 1000. Some I’m sure were killed by collateral damage from both sides but mostly it was the Azovs and Ukrops that not only shelled indiscriminately but specifically/deliberately targeted civilians there
Thanks, Nightvision. It has a population of 476,101 (2021). If so, the destruction of the city that we see has no relation to the number of civilian deaths, and most had and took the chance to flee the city.
Western leadership is playing dangerous games. I’ve come to the conclusion that western politics is so degenerate that it’s decision making is informed almost entirely by the media. Their information comes not from serious intelligence and political briefings but the news on TV. And they act to affect not facts on the ground but the images on the screen.
Biden should be tried for genocide of the Ukrainian people at this point.
Today Biden asked Congress for an additional $33B for Ukraine, including for salaries of Ukraine government workers and “Eastern European partners” (Psaki press conference).
The U.S. is in permanent deficit spending mode, printing money as it goes along, fueling inflation. (Causing pain to Americans seems to be a feature, not a bug, of the “Biden” strategy. There must be a reason, but the reason must be evil, and no one wants to consider that horror.)
The entire Ukraine defense budget, for comparison, is $6B.
Biden delivered his message in a garbled, impaired manner, with corrective use of teleprompter. In the official letter to Nancy Pelosi “he” wrote: “Our assistance to date has made a difference on the battlefield, helping Ukraine win the battle for Kyiv.”
You are correct Rex, the proof of such is inadvertently let out sometimes.
For example in an unsuccessful class action in Sydney last year that was attempting to stop the tyranny of the WEF/WHO the NSW govt. admitted many of their scamdemic measures were in response to media reports.
The tail wagging the dog.
“Biden should be tried for genocide of the Ukrainian people at this point.”
Check out this 30sec Video – He’s not competent enough for a trial -lol
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/president-biden-ok Is President Biden OK?
He obviously needs full time prompting & I’m sure he’s not making any decisions.
Some of us in Blighty are taking bets on when he’ll end up in a care home:
Pre-midterm election annihilation in November or post midterm election annihilation.
That’s if he hasn’t been FDR’d beforehand, obviously…
“There’s still no certainty of how they’re doing it apart from clues like the fact that several ‘saboteurs’ were arrested in Russia by the FSB yesterday, who were working for Ukrainian SBU. One was in Crimea, had explosives and was planning on bombing a shopping mall in Simferopol.”
If found guilty, and with a quick military trial, they should be hanged. And I’ve learned that Belarus has introduced the death penalty for attempts to commit terrorist acts.
Senate passed new bill
It authorizes the White House to “lend or lease defense articles” to Ukraine or any “Eastern European countries impacted by the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine to help bolster those countries’ defense capabilities and protect their civilian populations from potential invasion or ongoing aggression.”
Cornyn’s bill does not create a new program, but rather makes it easier for President Joe Biden to send weapons to Kiev by suspending limitations imposed by two existing laws, one of which caps the length of the aid at five years.
However, the whole thing is conditioned on Ukraine having to pay for the “return of and reimbursement and repayment for defense articles loaned or leased” to it. Kiev’s ability to make such payments is questionable, since the Ukrainian government is currently asking the US and the EU for $7 billion per month just to keep paying salaries and pensions.
The lend-lease bill is separate from the ongoing US effort to send Kiev weapons from the Pentagon stockpiles. Biden has already blown through almost $3.5 billion authorized by Congress for the purpose, and is seeking more funding. However, it risks being held up if the Democrats insist on bundling it with their Covid-19 funding plan, as Republicans have warned they would only support a stand-alone bill.
“We don’t have the mechanism yet,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday.
Very good. Russian and DNR soldiers will greatly appreciate Biden’s new shipments. They love the endless influx of goodies they are receiving daily from Biden by way of deceased Ukrops
Thank you Nightvision. I look forward to reading the sitreps every evening. And watching the videos you include.
I’m afraid that I’ve gotten the US involvement in Ukraine terribly wrong and it took me a while to see this.
I predicted here that the US would be content to notch a few W’s, Fake Flags, the Moskva sinking, as We Won. We’re # 1! and then back away.
Now my view is that the US will keep on printing money and sending it to Ukraine for as long as even a penny in profit is to be wrung out of the people of Europe and the USA.
Another great sitrep.
One thing you did miss out though is the terrible ukronazi missile attack that killed and wounded many people at a Donetsk market today.
….”the top Ukrainian elite are already receiving British citizenships”….
I physically feel sick.
Most likely the thieving bastards already have palatial holiday homes in London/UK and having cooperated with Nazi MI6/Security Services for a decade or more have had their temporary passports made permanent. Maybe now as British subjects they can’t be tried for war crimes.
I bet Priti (ugly fat dwarf ) Patel is outraged, not!
They should all be shipped off to Rwanda, but then the Rwandans have suffered enough already.
Downtown Grozny instead? I’m sure Mr Kadyrov would be the perfect host and make them all feel thoroughly comfortable and well looked after.
It really has elements of a class war to it:
1] The lower class Ukrainians will end up like this:
2] The upper class Ukrainians will end up with British citizenship.
3] And the ordinary working class Russian is on to the scam:
“THE MAJORITY IN RUSSIA SUPPORTS PUTIN, FOR THEM THE WAR IS A FORM OF RESISTANCE” – ANDREI NEKRASOV
But you don’t understand the majority. The West and the Russian upper class are united by the bourgeois lifestyle and the bourgeois worldview. But the Russian majority is anti-bourgeois. It is pleased with the sanctions which have hit the upper class, the oligarchs, and also the upper middle class.
Even if conditions become uncomfortable for them, they will survive because they are good at it, because they mobilize. Porsche no longer delivers cars — they laugh. The true Russians rejoice.
*Andrei Nekrasov made the film: “The Magnitsky Act – Behind the Scenes” about Bill Browder.
I’m well aware of the Class System. I’m British, thats’s what we do….😉
Here is a hilarious video (English with Russian voice over) of the daring duo Vovan and Lexis taking Priti Patel for a picnic.
YT dumped this, but there it is.
Yet, here is something even worse :
‘Edward VIII’s treachery is mind-boggling’: Viewers of Britain’s Traitor King question ‘why Duke of Windsor wasn’t executed for treason’ after he told Nazis to keep bombing England during WWII
This follows the Sun 2015 expose of Your Heilnesses :
which strangely enough YT did not (yet) dump.
So it is lawful and natural for Kiev’s junta to be promised a home in London, but considering what happened to the King, they had better wise up!
The only way russia can deal with a strike on Transnistra is to use battlefield nukes or surrender.
So it practically guarantees nuclear war in the next few days
Now I would expect pressure on Kaliningrad too. Putin said as much as this- you have had your warning. don’t whine about a sneak (surprise) attack when it comes and I promise it will come. This reminds me of the – not half as blunt messages sent by the Japanese just prior to Pearl Harbor, where anybody that was not in full bore denial would comprehend what was about to happen, and I have come to the conclusion that the US wanted it to happen so the US could get into the war to help Europe basically. But this begs the question. does the blinken idiot and the “man who shakes hands with air” want this? Maybe some do. In 2014 the last time things came so close, NATO was not ready, but since then they formed a stealth NATO inside Ukraine and some fraction of them want this to explode. Sometimes the scope of the thing can’t be predicted and when NATO airfields and ships start getting Iskandered and sunk, how can escalation be stopped once started. Putin is not crazy and his nuclear forces are ready. I wonder what the US would do if Russia began large scale civil defense exercises, knowing it’s not in Putin DNA to bluff, just like the aggregation of troops just prior to the invasion. Many (including myself) thought it was just posturing, but Russia does bluff.
I think you are exaggerating. Russia could use hypersonic missiles against the attackers and call up conscription in Russia.
Transnistra may be small, but it’s a tough nut to crack, they could sustain an attack from Ukraine+Moldavia, specially when counting with Russian air support.
If we are talking about a coordinated attack including Romania and Poland too, then I agree with you.
Logical point, but Putin has a habit of taking asymmetrical action. If he decides at this point that war with NATO is inevitable, it’s not completely unlikely that he hits the UK–which has been an antagonist for years, and is arguing for strikes into Russia.
In one scenario, he invites the world’s (not just Zone A’s) media for a major announcement. Lays out his case. The UK, Poland, & Romania have clearly made themselves co-belligerents.
The crew of the new UK aircraft carrier QE II have 1 hour to leave the ship (currently in Plymouth) after which a Kinzhal will be punched through its foredeck. Next targets are MI6 London, NATO HQ Brussels, & the Polish & Romanian missile complexes, then military HQs for each country. NATO’s decision. Stop now, or it’s on.
@ Paul Damascene
“…Stop now, or it’s on.”
A few months ago I’d have considered your hypotheses an extreme possibility, not anymore. At the pace events are accumulating, and the speed the Empire of Lies and their partners in crime are moving against Russia, that could happen in the foreseeable future. Putin just gave them a strong warning, and we know his warnings are not bluffing. Actually, he himself said that,
“…If someone decides to intervene in the ongoing events from the outside and create unacceptable strategic threats to us, they should know that our response to those oncoming blows will be swift, lightning-fast,” he explained.
“We have all the tools to do this. Tools that no one except us can brag about. But we’re not going to brag. We’ll use them if such a need arises,” the president added, without specifying which tools could be deployed…”
Russia has plans for all contingencies, and Transnistria was already contemplated. R+P+U mind find themselves mired in a conflict beyond what they can handle, Moldavia is walking on eggshells re: Transnistria. Russia could paralyze the country in less than 24 hours. Having said that, all these statelets have no mind of their own, they are pawns in a greater chessboard, and you cannot fix stupid.
As always, let’s hope for the best…
That was exactly my point in my post, here. Nowhere in VVP’s statement does it specify that the nuclear option would be used by Russia to respond to strategic interference.
This is the mother of all sitreps… Thank you, nightvision for this incredibe effort.
Maybe Trudy Justine Blackface never new nuffin, easily done. I never node Sideshow-Bob was my uncle.
Still the neo-Nazi cunt Freeland, deputy PM, has her finger on the pulse. The same cunt who worked as a journalist at the NYT, involved explicitly in trying to prove that the Bykivnia Mass Gravesite was perpetrated by Stalin and not the Nazis.
All that money to Ukraine isn’t actually for Ukraine, it is to be spent on US and NATO weapons. Among other things Ukraine is an excuse to pump up military profits and make up for what was lost by the US retreats from Afghanistan and Iraq.
It’s like a deranged Ponzi scheme:
Natoland floods Ukron with weapons to fight Russia
Russia picks up or smashes the crap out of the large bulk of weapons before they even get seriously utilised
Ukron gets charged for weapons by Natoland
Ukron can’t pay Natoland because it’s skint
Natoland + World Bank + IMF give Ukron cash
Cash received by Ukron from Natoland goes to Natoland for weapons supplied- weapons that are then smashed to bits by Russia.
Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop….ching! ching!
The aid package is to ensure the flow of graft for Hunter Biden and his father.
Yes. It’s like Greece was used to pump money from European taxpayers to overseas pension and investment funds. First the ECB was taken over, now the entire EU, which has always been an American project, which at some point European powers may have tried to take control of (maybe, not sure), but if so then ultimately to no avail.
Rarely talked about is the slow and now total cutoff of nat gas to poland until they buckle and buy rubles on the open mkt, so the reaction is to build up arms and talk about replacing the energy but the infrustucture is not built .
And I can also see a financial crisis arising from all the borrowed money to build arms that are then destroyed before use and not only does some liability still have to be paid, there will be no return on the investment, so tricky accounting and few more bills passed to balance the financial theater and its all somehow good.
I can see the supreme court balking on some large issue and suddenly there is no need for washington, so how long does a liability remain on the books, still perform lousy, yet get a big stand of financial approval. I know oit all doesn’t make sense, but neither does war, so it is what it is I guess.
Yes, it’s exactly like Dunkirk… if the British had rescued the Nazis. What’s the diff, man?
I thought Dunkirk was an off the wall comment / reference too. But I assume if you are dumb enough to signup for a CIA proxy war then you are dumb enough to think Zelensky will come rescue you too.
Instead of imbedding French mercenaries in with the Azov Battalion, NATO should have found some veterans of the old Japanese Imperial Army to help with the next step. They would have smashed all of the cell phones by now, to stop the whining, and started handing out the wakizashi swords.
Thank you for another fantastic report, Nightvision!
Thank you for all your compliments!
NV, just found your sitrep linked on /pol/ and I’m happy I did! Excellent!
““Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over #Ukraine in space. The staff is about 50 people only from the USA. It is located in one of the communication buildings in Lviv.”
Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over Ukraine in space.”
My description of the above would be ‘military target within a war zone.’
Level it , wait 5 minutes for emergency services then strike again.
the famous ol’ “double tap” maneuver. It seems Russia did something like that today near Kiev https://www.bitchute.com/video/3AiVfkxqmG5i/
I’m not concerned about all these troops getting “trained” by NATO and the west.
Most likely they are getting trained as little hit and run packs which will not change the outcome.
Ukraine cannot effectively mount combined arms operations so it will lose.
In a nutshell that is what it comes down to. Doesn’t matter if they have the best and brightest NATOA heads trying to command them.
They do not control the air, cannot shut down Russian standoff weapons and cannot redeploy forces without getting annihilated.
Ukraine cannot mount a combined arms assault anywhere within it’s own territory. That is what losing looks like by any rational ‘expert’s” judgement.
“But now it seems things are escalating and they may take matters into their own hands. Of course this is an oversimplification and we don’t know what disaster could turn out from these moves, or what Poland/NATO’s ultimate aims might actually be.”
And that’s precisely why Russia must not allow this to occur. The whole point of the Ukraine war is to keep NATO out of Ukraine. Allowing NATO Poland to seize part of Ukraine just pushes NATO closer to the rest of Ukraine and Russia.
That’s stupid. Russia must not do this. Especially when it’s not going to expend “massive manpower and lives” to conquer western Ukraine after the main Ukrainian forces are destroyed in the east.
Not to mention that Russia can pound Polish forces with missiles from inside Russia and the Black Sea and from air power, to the point where Polish forces can be slaughtered, both on the Polish side of the border and the Ukrainian side of the border.
The same applies to Romanian, Polish and Moldovan forces attacking Transnistria.
Russia must not allow any of this bullshit to succeed. It will only embolden the US and NATO to push things deeper.
Why wouldn’t Russia take this out with a Khinzal?:
“Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over #Ukraine in space. The staff is about 50 people only from the USA. It is located in one of the communication buildings in Lviv.”
Not sure. It should and maybe it will soon, but there are a few important sites I’ve heard of recently that Russia still hasn’t taken out and I’m as perplexed as anyone else. Either they’re still incrementally letting off the “soft” approach or there’s some back deal worked out or something else, cus it most definitely should be striking that place if it really exists. Hopefully soon it will. Sometimes what I noticed is Russia doesn’t strike a particular strategic gathering point right away because it seems to allow the enemy forces to build up there a bit more and lulls them into a false sense of security and then strikes them later on at a strategically significant moment when more of them have built up. For all we know, they might be getting comfortable in that place and actively expanding, and Russia’s logic would be: “Why strike it now with only 50 people there when they’re actively expanding it to 100. Let’s wait and then blow it up when they’ve got everyone over there.”
When they’re relying on it more…
Another point is that they could be actively intercepting the communication happening in those places and that intel is valuable in making macro strategy decisions.
Great point, they do that often. For instance in Azovstal factory they could easily jam their communications but they actually prefer to let Azov continue talking to their masters in Kiev because they are intercepting 100% of those calls and getting valuable intel.
One thing that bothers me about this statement is that it’s so open, so matter of fact. Like an invitation, like a trap. To me it’s so radioactive that it glows. I don’t trust it.
Probably the coordinates of a kindergarten, air-raid shelter or maternity hospital. Or maybe a “baby milk factory”. Something that would count as an enormous atrocity.
Rockpile, I too am suspicious about the UK info. It might be aimed only for the public, while Russia has different information, that it wouldn’t be the right place to strike. The western media can then say: Russians are chickens, they don’t strike where we “tell” them to strike…..
Why not destroy this center ?
Because the Russians have fully tapped into their COMs and using the coms to dechipher all the NATO data codes.
i predicted a while back that poland would take its “historic” regions back and no one would care because good riddance. moldova should just pull a crimea and bet on the winning horse.
as for talk of nukes, i think she was just a bit testy from the whole “being personally targeted by psychopathic NATO nazis” thing. there’s no point (regular ordinance has been doing just fine so far) and i doubt russia has been mostly restrained so they could just end up with another chernobyl across the border. dumb brute force is more of a US thing whereas this operation has at least tried to be surgical.
Russia is in dire need of people like this today. They should have been doing operations like this for at least 8 years now:
Reporting on the scoundrels who destroyed the memorial wall in honor of those who died during the liberation of Rivne, they recalled that the partisan detachment “Winners” operated here, which was one of the most effective partisan units of the Great Patriotic War.
I was familiar with its leader – the famous Soviet intelligence officer and saboteur Colonel Svyatogorov.
One of his most successful operations was the undermining of the Lublin intelligence school, where the Nazis prepared sabotage groups to send them into our country. They managed to blow up the school, where cadets and 11 high-ranking Nazis, led by the chief of the Lublin Gestapo Akardt, were destroyed, as well as capture documents and several instructors who gave valuable evidence during interrogation.
And do you know what made the operation so effective? Ha!!! Now farts Svidomo explode! Svyatogorov managed to recruit two members of the SS division “Galicia”, who were sent to study at the intelligence school and they helped Svyatogorov, who acted under the pseudonym “Zorich”. to penetrate him and his comrades into the intelligence school and brilliantly carry out this operation!
Yes, now that Colonel Svyatogorov has died, one can also say that he later became the curator of Bandera’s liquidator, Bogdan Stashinsky.
Julian Ropcke (the Russophobic ghoul) said:
“Today is another grim day for Ukraine…Russia is crushing the Ukrainian defense in many areas.”
What’s my response to this news? Simple. No need to waste words.
The good guys are finally winning!!!
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has made a very exciting statement today. He said that the Union State of Russia and Belarus will likely expand its membership. Although Lukashenko does not mention any specific countries, the most important potential new members would be Novorossiya and Kazakhstan.
MINSK, April 28. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes that the Union State of Belarus and Russia may attract other countries.
“I’m sure that other republics of the former Soviet Union will also join such a union,” he said on Thursday at a meeting with Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev, the president’s press service reported.
Now a few videos for today.
Yesterday the criminal Kiev regime attacked the free city of Kherson with two Tochka-U missiles and smaller rockets, hitting civilian areas:
Today the Kiev regime hit the Sokol and Kirov markets in Donetsk, killing civilians:
This last video shows a Pantsir-S1 air defense system:
That building penetrating radar is a real game changer for urban battles. It’s gotten to the point where there is really nowhere to hide, but it’s likely few NATO infantry know that–yet.
Someone please explain how something this huge gets shipped into Ukraine, then down to the Donbas region, without it being struck by Russia. The thing is HUGE. I don’t understand why military transport jets are not being shot down. I don’t understand how trains carrying these huge piece of military equipment are not being struck. I don’t understand how a NATO base in Leviv that supplies all the coordinates to have your people killed isn’t being struck.
Ukr sources report of the 1st use of the US supplied M-270 MRLS in the Donbas region
Well firstly I assume that’s a stock photo and there’s no actual proof that thing is in Ukraine or anywhere near ‘Donbass’ since the source is conveniently a Ukie source. There’s good chance this is b.s. but we’ll see
Judging from the surrounding vegetation of this photo, it was not Spring and it was not typical Donbas local plants at this time of the year.
You are right, it is autumn foliage. You can see trees in the back with yellow and orange leaves, while most of the leaves are off the deciduous trees. So it is probably end of October when that photo was taken.
Most likely is Ukrainian Propaganda……I’ve never seen a single MLRS rocket shoot vertically.
Numbers / letters on door pixelated out.
Vegetation in front and behind shows no sign whatever of crushing by tracks.
It’s a fake.
According to reports – and I hope they’re true – Russian troops are within three miles of the Slavyansk-Barinkove highway. If Russia cuts this route, the Nazi army in Severodonetsk will have only one remaining escape lane, which is the highway running south through Bakhmut.
I’m not a military man but this is my assumption based on reading the war maps. No Nazi access to the Slavyansk-Barinkov means the noose is tightening around Severodonetsk. They say 40,000 Nazi soldiers are entrenched there.
This guy Dvornikov may be the goods. He may be a really, really good war commander.
I find it hard to believe that Poland will do anything without USA’s approval.
I really don’t understand why Russia hasn’t already struck all of the decision making centers in Ukraine.
Because all the decision making centers are in Washington.
Nightvision you put a lot of effort into these updates on Russia’s military operation and it shows. This event is shaping the fate of humanity. Russia is not the aggressor in this conflict and while their cause is just it is still a tragedy to see so many Ukrainian soldiers and conscripts needlessly losing their lives. I admire Putin and Russia for constantly giving the Ukrainians the option to surrender and for showing restraint and discipline during this operation. Some people have the audacity to criticize Russia for their humane approach. I’d like to remind those people that none of us would be on this site or see Russia as a beacon of hope for humanity if their military tactics were as criminal and reckless as that of the US, NATO or Israel. A victory for Russia can only be achieved by demilitarizing Ukraine with surgical precision while avoiding the loss of civilian lives and causing the least amount of suffering to the Ukrainian citizens who have been living under a dictatorship and under a form of mind control for over eight years. Putin has never lost a war and Russia is making steady gains.
A very good comment summary of the events, input valuable in helping to reestablish some facts of the overall war picture, “some” only, albeit crucial, as like you say, these are events shaping humanity and cannot all be covered. Because of this Nightvision’s methodical, factual information and analysis are so appreciated and have become the central focus now on this blog.
The tensions and activities would seem to be escalating, but how things will play out, whether the wind direction will change and see times of atrophy and stagnation on the ground, will be seen in the coming weeks. This war despite excellent coverage by many, including comparisons to other’s, is different, it has to be in certain key respects as it is held on unknown territory.
God speed Russia in her great battle for world civilization.
Excellent and with supporting social media linkage. Wow well done! Thank you for your consistent and accurate reporting that lets us see thru the flak of Western media misinformation!
I never thought that Serbia will border Russia through Romania … My bet was more like Bulgaria, but this also works.
This is to address a few of the comments on the Poles motivation to involve themselves directly into this war in order to capture western Ukraine [some of which is, in fact, rightfully Polish].
I believe it was Churchill who referred to the Poles of pre-WW II as: “the jackals of Europe”. And so it goes. Whatever Churchill’s failings, like a broken clock, he made a daily habit of being timely.
The 3LAs of DC seeks to widen the war and destruction and…as always, fools rush in.
So you are being hunted by the best special forces in the world (Chechnyans) and they have all the drones, radar and other detection equipment?
Just kill the Nazis who won’t let you surrender and save yourselves. The western term from Vietnam was “fragging”.
Fragging, specifically, was killing the commanding officer with a grenade.
So I saw the following from a pro-Russian account I read. The guy is posts a lot of retweets of well made points by various people and anti-imperialist voices. But here goes and it did the literal “blow my mind”.
So far the Russian Army has used for its special military operation in #Ukraine:
_ 12% of its soldiers (total includes trained draftees)
_ 10% of its fighter jets
_ 7% of its tanks
_ 5% of its missiles
_ 4% of its artillery
And keeps advancing on a daily basis
He did not cite any source. But for anybody who knows the Russian military, does this sound right? I mean one of the main points I can see from Western propaganda is that Russians are running out of weapons, tanks, ammo, jets, etc. and actually lots of it is stolen by military personnel (no crap).
If true this goes to what Scott Ritter said. Russia has prepared and is fighting a Big Arrow war. And NATO/US don’t know anymore how to fight or prepare for a Big Arrow war. Of course Martyanov seems to also be making this point for awhile actually. Russia has the stocks of weapons and ammo to fight a Big Arrow war, and the West does not.
And do the Poles know this? That Russia can unleash unholy hell if they cross into Ukraine?
Those numbers are pretty accurate. Even off the top of my head I can tell you the total armed forces of Russia is in the 1.3 million total military personnel active and reserves range and even by inflated western claims, they are using 150-200k total troops right now in Ukraine which would put it at about 10% or less of total troops.
Tanks they might be using anywhere in 1000-2000 range but they officially have 15000-20,000 total which once again makes it somewhere below the 10% mark.
Jets they have about 1,400 total and are using maybe 100-200 so once again this is 10-15% or less. etc etc.
So yes in general Russia is using about 10% or less of its full capabilities in Ukraine. If NATO wants to join the party then Russia can always turn the dial up to 100% if NATO wants WW3.
Ty nightvision for your analysis. Southfront appears to directionally agree with you but is far more pensive about declaring that everything is going swimmingly. They maintain that the cauldron remains open and the Ukrainians able to fall back, consolidate and get resupplied.
Why the discrepancy? Many of us have no way of ascertaining where the truth falls and certainly don’t believe the western accounts … But how are we to determine if your information is more accurate than theirs?
It’s all very confusing but very important to know
Well I don’t think the two versions necessarily disagree. After all ‘my version’ simply described what’s happening currently, I didn’t make a prediction (least that I can remember) as to how the cauldron will continue to precipitate whereas southfront appears to extrapolate further out. With that said, it’s possible that this could happen – namely that AFU could retreat in time to avoid enclosure and take up 2nd echelon positions along a new line in Pavlograd or give up the entire left bank of Dnieper river entirely. It all depends how fast Russia ‘closes the pincer’. Right now obviously the pincer close is going very slow but is brutally grinding down and heavily attritioning AFU manpower. The “other side” claims this is no problem because they seem to believe that Ukraine has unlimited reserves of manpower and these losses are no problem for them. I disagree but that’s fine, if that’s their view. The main problem with this is, even if the cauldron force were to pull back in time (keep in mind they would still sustain massive losses throughout this process as they currently are doing), and then so what? Does southfront et al realize that means Russia would now control all of Donbass and possibly everything east of the Dnieper? Is this supposed to be a ‘victory’ for Ukraine?
I say this because I myself see several ‘western’ accounts seemingly and similarly mention such a notion of escaping the cauldron being a ‘victory’ of sorts. But do you realize what retreating from the cauldron means? It means by its very definition giving up the entire Donbass. So, sure some of your units will live to fight another day, I suppose that can be a temporary “victory” for them, but they just gave up half of their country. And now they retreat to new lines, in Pavlograd and beyond. Ok, so what? Now Russia will reorganize in their newly captured Donbass region, and will now create an offensive on your new lines and that will be grinded down as well, and they will again be destroyed and now have to retreat pass the Dnieper.
The point, the ‘western’ propagandists appear to be trying to create this false reality that any sort of retreat is a moral victory of sorts for Ukraine. This is similar to things you see in combat sports where a low ranked fighter is considered to have a major “morale victory” if he can just survive a round or two against a top fighter without getting brutally knocked out. But it’s not much of a victory if he still ends up losing a few rounds later than expected. So similarly here, it doesn’t matter if they get enclosed in the cauldron and destroyed entirely / captured, or if they escape under massive attrition, it’s still an obvious victory for Russia who will continue slowly capturing their entire country.
The western OSINT propagandist response to the above would be “well, you’re wrong because Ukraine is delaying them and the longer they do so, Russia will run out of supplies eventually” and their 2nd point is “well Russia is also taking huge losses and attrition and so eventually they will run out of men/tanks, etc”. But the problem is 1. the first point is wrong, Russia has unlimited supplies and will never run out. It has waged a war in Afghanistan for 10 years, 2 wars in Chechnya for over 10 years, Syrian campaign now for going on 10 years soon. It has no problems with any sort of supplies, they won’t run out you can count on that.
And 2. the second point is simply wrong. It is objective fact that Russia is not suffering much losses currently and in fact the kill/loss ratio is upwards of 10:1 at this point if not more. I have accurate sources from platoon level that has confirmed the numbers in some of the recent fighting for instance in Rubizhnoe. And so no, Russia will not attrition faster than Ukraine who is taking literally hundreds of KIA and POW’s PER DAY. Even if they escape the cauldron the remnants will be greatly degraded, and on Russia’s next offensive against their next defensive line, Russia will be facing a much degraded and demoralized force which will now be even easier to defeat.
But even that is a big “if”, remember my personal stated belief is Russia hasn’t started its full offensive yet, and so we may see a big increase in advances soon which could close the cauldron and trap the ATO with no chance of escape.
10:1 – that’s interesting to have that number confirmed. Yesterday I’d given some people a quick rundown on the situation and I had projected between a 10 and 15 to one ratio of Ukrainian losses to Russian based solely on anecdotal data.
I again want to thank you for the effort you make to pull all this together and compliment you on the accuracy and format of the data.
the number differs in different fronts. Some fronts it’s much higher, however also in the totality of the conflict we know Russia has somewhere in the region of 2000 KIA or less currently while Ukraine has somewhere in 20-30k region according to Russian MOD (in fact I think according to Russian MOD they have 40k ‘unrecoverable’ losses as in KIA, critically wounded, POW, MIA, etc, etc) so 2k to 20k would basically be a 1:10 ratio on the overall conflict.
Saker and Larchmonter both gave up on Southfront as a reliable source for news and commentary long ago.
My personal opinion is that Southfront has been coopted by Western intelligence. To me it seems that Southfront mixes accurate news and commentary with inaccurate news and commentary. Classic controlled opposition.
very astute… thanks for your hard work.
Now that civilians have had plenty of time to evacuate from Kiev, the city can be destroyed quickly.
Falaise Pocket, post-Normandy. Same scenario. Did not bode well for the ‘escaping’ troops.
Thanks for the info.
I read from various Telegram channels that Russia could not sustain the same amount of artillery / missiles on a major NATO country but from those figures (if accurate) Russia would have no issue destroying strategic defences of Turkey and Poland combined, I assume?
Plus, we don’t really know what equipment Russia are holding back.
The burning question I have is does Russia need to denazify beyond Ukraine? Or is Russia’s best defensive strategy to turn the gas spigots off to hostile EU nations? Failing to dismantle NATO now would only bring up the same hostilities towards Russia some 50 years from now – that’s only a generation or so away.
By 2050 the West will be crippled by saving the planet from global warming… Solar and wind will not give a level of civilisation beyond the 1800s when the poor didn’t have electricity, and batteries won’t run tanks or missiles.
50years is a long way off in terms of a world-wide depression, or societal collapse, or even the crashing of the petro-dollar. A decade may make the world unrecognizable, certainly 15years will.
Russia just has to secure its borders then relax and wait, we will do the rest ourselves!
Israeli ambassador has now also called its citizens to leave Transnistria “as soon as possible”
Defensive capabilities of Transnistria will improve dramatically.
Israel did the same a week or so before SMO…which is odd since for years they armed and trained the nazis in Ukraine.
Israel did the same a week or so before SMO…which is odd since for years they armed and trained the nazis in Ukraine.
@Velyaminov on odyssey mentioned a group of Israelis had arrived in Ukraine to fight Russians .
On the Russian side, things are going according to plan. Many documented casualties and mass surrenders on the Ukrainian side. Ukrainian fortifications are «softened » by heavy bombing. I do not know the plan but progresses are slow and documented the way her « defeat » was.
On the Western side, things are going according to plan. I read the Aslund’s tweet and the responses under it. The grinding of AFU hurts but he hopes things will « improve ». The help is coming from everywhere. He is on the side of the « good guys » and as Hollywood taught us time and again: In the end, the good guys win. Who am I to express any doubt when such a truth worthy source says that?
Both sides are winning. Truth is dead. My bet is that the Russian side is winning. My bet is that the Russian plan is being successfully implemented.
The West, the side I live, can only escalate for reasons Alastair Cooke describes superbly. That makes nuclear false flag a serious option. It would electrify the USA the way Pearl Harbor or the 9/11 did. It would be the ultimate propaganda.
The USA can’t admit defeat. It would be putting their position as the benevolent giant on the hill in doubt. It would end the idea « We are the empire now. We create reality. »
They are close to the situation that had Putin declaring something along the line « A world without Russia is not acceptable. Russia will live or the entire world will disappear. » I bet that the elite in Washington is ready to destroy the world before admitting they are not that much important. The nuclear false flag becomes horribly tempting.
The war is spilling in Moldavia, Transnistria, Poland, Bulgaria. I see no reason it will stop there. NATO is horribly close to a direct intervention. Hell’s gates are opening.
I’m terrified by the situation.
Yep both sides report their side is winning, but only ONE of the side’s reporting actually follows in the realm of logic. Think about it, what logically looks more like “winning”, the side that is dying in unprecedented, historic levels, hundreds dead and POWs per day with objectively verifiable proof in the form of photos/videos daily? Or the side that’s doing the killing and advancing daily to the point that even the other side is admitting to the advances and admitting to the constant ceding of territory? In only one of those cases does logic “fail” to explain “winning”. You can’t be retreating daily, losing 300-500 people daily, and be “winning”. It just defies logic.
Good points. All valid. However, International Neocon monsters care only about themselves, their tribe, and maybe their toadies: winning means more of them in power and less of us – no matter which side we’re on.
The wealth of information and intelligence of the commentators is remarkable, and I greatly appreciate it. But I have a concern: Aren’t we doing the enemy’s job, giving them relevant information and strategies for free?
They won’t pay attention to us. Why would they when we’re all being paid by the Kremlin or FSB trolls….😁
I think you have a good point and it has crossed my mind a few times. There is no way of knowing who does or doesn’t read this sitrep and how they may potentially use information they find here to their advantage. Perhaps it is enough to report on what has happened only, instead of what could happen and why, etc. Discussing strengths and weaknesses may be a bad idea and potential future outcomes may be a bad idea.
The whole world reads Nightvision’s sitrep.
OK, I’m exaggerating and joking just bit here as I think he is better than Santa Claus even! :-)
Bear in mind we deal with open source information only. There is nothing secret here. It is using open source information and almost divining the strategy from there. That takes intelligence and knowledge. It may be right, it may be wrong, it may be a little right or a little wrong. But it is completely open source. (I am quite sure the Russian Mod does not read these sitreps).
Poland has secret plan for Ukraine, Moscow claims
“Intelligence obtained by Russia suggests that Poland and the US are working on a plan for Warsaw to regain control of Ukrainian areas that Warsaw considers as “historically belonging” to it, Moscow’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) chief Sergey Naryshkin has said.
According to the alleged plan, the first stage of this “reunification” will see Polish “peacekeepers” deployed in western Ukraine under the pretext of “protection from Russian aggression,” Naryshkin outlined in a statement on Thursday.
The details of the operation are now being discussed between Warsaw and the US government, he claimed, adding that the operation is designed to be executed without a NATO mandate, and only volunteer states taking part.
Warsaw has so far been unable to find any other nations to join its cause, he added. But the Polish authorities are unconcerned by this, as they want to minimize the number of “unnecessary witnesses” to their actions, Naryshkin said.
Despite their publicly declared goal of countering Moscow, the Polish troops would be deployed in parts of Ukraine where they’ll have almost no chance of engaging Russian forces, he explained. According to Russian data, the actual “tactical objective” of the Polish troops will be taking control of strategic facilities from the Ukrainian National Guard. Poland’s intelligence services are apparently now searching for “reliable” members of the Kiev elite, who would be willing to form a pro-Warsaw counterbalance to Ukrainian nationalists.
The Polish government assumes that entrenching its forces in western Ukraine would, with a high probability, lead to the split of the country, he claimed. In this case, control over the territories where the peacekeepers are set to be deployed would remain in the hands of Warsaw, the spy chief continued. The plan appears to be an attempt, he pointed out, to repeat an historic deal that was struck after World War I and saw Western nations accept Warsaw’s right to occupy, in the first instance, parts of Ukraine to protect its people from the “Bolshevik threat” and, later, to include those areas into the Polish state.”
Keep in mind the polish sick jokes sided with the nazis backing the franco fascists in spain. History repeats.
Poland’s secret plan is probably named “Operation If You Can’t Beat ’Em, Join ’Em.” They’re probably looking forward to getting back their chunk of Galicia, including Lwów.
I read in Clarin (Buenos Aires) that pres. Biden today “…stressed that the United States has already supplied Ukraine with 10 anti-tank weapons systems for every tank that Russia has sent to the country.” deepl translate
well that’s easily confirmed. I’ve already written that Russia is using about 1000-2000 tanks and U.S. has confirmed shipping 20,000 javelins and other missiles. If you look at the footage of all the dead AFU, they are all clutching at least 1 or 2 anti-tank weapons like M72-Laws, AT4’s, N-Laws, etc etc so there’s clearly enough to go around where each soldier has multiples of them. But the problem is, in order for them to be effective you have to get within range of a Russian group, and to do that you have to ambush them, which was easier before when they were moving swiftly along roads and couldn’t afford much protection due to the necessity of speed (sacrificing protection for mobility). But now they are progressing in a different fashion, inching forward slowly with flanks protected and the guys clutching those anti-tank weapons are being destroyed by artillery from huge range long before they can target any Russian tank.
‘Zhukov’ is back. ‘Patton’ to the rear.
Romania will do as instructed. Moldova will do as instructed. PMR may become a new active front now that the Ukr. forces in the Donbas are in dire straits.
The Nazis there have gone from 1941 to 1944 in two months.
The commander of the 36th brigade’s analogy to Dunkirk might have been more accurate if the Nazis weren’t on the same beach as his men, a few metres away, awaiting evacuation also. Here’s the karma. For 8 years they forced people to live in basements out of terror. Now that is where they themselves will die, like the cowards they are.
I’ve read that the conventional ammunition stored in the PMR depot a1 km from the border with Ukr. Could cause an explosion equal to both August 1945 atomic bombs combined. Given that Ukr can’t use much of the heavy weapons that reach them, I wonder of what use exactly the presumably older ammunition and weaponry there might be.
If there is a Romanian/Moldovan/Ukrainian attack on PMR, it will be for the purpose of slowing the Russian advance in the Donbas and possibly escalating the war. At that point I would expect a missile hell to be unleashed on Lviv and any troop concentrations on the Ukr side of the Polish border. In other words, make a bigger example out of the Ukr. Nato-training grounds than before. There are no safe diplomatic buildings anywhere in Ukr from that moment.
As for PMR, if there are 3-4 thousand Russian Federation peacekeepers, and they are attacked, Russia can turn off the gas to Germany for a week. Which means Poland and Bulgaria will not get gas. That will cause internal civil strife in those countries. And that is an important strategic consideration.
Recall those ‘polite little green men’ in the Crimea. They just appeared.Who is to say they are not already in Tranistria. The Gen Staff of the RF must have gamed such a scenario.
Big difference in geography, an effective ‘island peninsula’ in 2014 versus a landlocked border between two countries in 2022; they’d also be flying over hostile territory in an actual war zone. That said, I hope you are right!
What options does Russia have to support its peace keepers within Transnistria and transnistria itself? Would Russia attempt a beach landing at Odess and push towards the capitol of Transnistria?
What is feasible or realistic for Russia to do in order to protect Transnistria if they need assistance?
To be honest I’m not sure because most of those methods are not super feasible without major losses. Russia can reliably fly in some special forces groups, but small numbers won’t do much if PMR is attacked by large forces. Russia would have to make possible landings with large amounts of forces and that opens them up to huge losses by possible anti-air or other methods depending how they choose to get there (air or sea etc). Of course they can possibly do a suppression campaign to mass bomb all of Ukraine’s anti-air capabilities in the region and then do mass landings, but it’s hard to say. It really all depends on what the character of the attack is, i.e. who exactly is attacking and in what number (i.e. is it just Moldova, or Romania or Romanians in Moldovan gear, and in what numbers? etc etc) Presumably the talk is of a pincer attack with Ukrainian forces going from the east. But I wouldn’t necessarily say any of Russia’s options are good.
With that said I posted a list last time of the reported numbers of troops/equipment in the PMR and it seems to be a fairly militarized society with comparatively huge amounts of armor/equipment and even troops (relative to its size) so they could arguably hold off any assault for a good time, once again depending on who is assaulting them and in what numbers.
and first Thank’s for the Sitrep. Like allways superb.
It’s shown in History that allways when a Country is weak as a result of war, revolution etc. the neighbors assembling to divide the kadaver, think of Russia after 1917. So it seemed “natural” that Poland and Rumania try to get there “lost” or “stolen” land back. About Hungary not clear yet. So, here is my question, in all inocence and having in mind that our president ,Vladimir Vladimirovich, had mentioned that the post war borders are not questioned (about which, by the way, the NATO gives a dam) : If Poland get’s is Eastern Part back will than Germany get it’s Eastern Part allso back? The taking away of the “Polish East” was the reason to compensate Poland with the East German lands, according to Josiv Wissarionovich. I know I know! Wrong question. But we say: Was dem Einen Recht, ist dem Anderen Billig.
Only last week Poland claimed Kaliningrad – Königsberg, and got a curt reply.
This week they are likely claiming Lemberg.
And foregoing ‘impure’ Russian oil.
Someone is playing them like a badly tuned cello, likely London with its presence there considering the cacophony.
Daran hab ich auch sofort gedacht. First thing to consider would be Stettin because it was forcibly taken by Poland without any consent by the victors so they could control the Oder estuary. Let’s also remember the atrocities committed by the Poles against Germans in 1945, meticulously documented in the post-war years (Heinz Nawratil, Die deutschen Nachkriegsverluste). Things are set to start moving in Europe, so why is Bundeswehr not at home to protect our borders? Having an eye on Poland from West of the Oder/Neiße line?
Sounds like only WW3 can sort it out. People are now talking about Germany getting its parts back and others have mentioned that Hungary should get some other parts it’s also owed and on and on it goes. At this point there might as well just be WW3 so everyone can take what they need, China – Taiwan, etc. I’m being facetious of course but that’s the way it’s starting to look with all the hungry jackals beginning to salivate at the prospects of carving out their own slice from the developments.
At 11 a.m. on April 26, a Kalibr cruise missile hit a secret neo-Nazi training center hidden on the site of the Zaporozhye Aluminum Plant.
Up to 1,500 militants were trained at this site under the direction of 60 British mercenaries, as well as British SAS troops. This attack is carefully concealed by the Ukrainian intelligence agency.
A cyberattack on the servers of health institutions in the Zaporozhye region made it possible to collect information on the number of killed and injured.
So far 523 killed and 347 injured.
This was on https://t.me/intelslava but I think it is fake news although Intel Slava proved to be mostly reliable when cross-checked with official sources such as Russian MoD or channels like Colonel Cassad or Rybar. Taking note of the alleged killed/injured ratio of 3:2, it is more likely that the other version of the event is correct, i.e. that a weapons depot was hit.
I wonder whether the UK will demand to seize Zelensky’s assets as ‘stolen property from the people of Ukraine’?
The chances of the terminally corrupt UK doing anything resembling equal treatment under the law is zero.
Zelensky will get to keep his billion: he made friends with the ‘right criminals’ after all.
“And at the same time, it’s being reported that:
“Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over #Ukraine in space. The staff is about 50 people only from the USA. It is located in one of the communication buildings in Lviv.”
Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over Ukraine in space.”
If this is the case why has Russia not targeted then because America is basically and fundamentally at war with the Russians in Ukraine. I believed that American intelligence helped in the demise of the Moskva cruiser., and is still doing it. I have read on Zerohedge that America provided cordinates to Ukranian army to target a Rusdian military plane carrying paratroppers during the beginning of the war. Did Russia even provided weapons to Iraq, Syria, Yugoslavia, Somalia, Libya, Panama, Nicaragua, Grenada, Serbia, Afghanistan when America was engaged in war with these countries.
I have to say the wrong war is being prosecuted by Russia. We all know this is not about Ukraine. That proxy war is over. Until the US feels real pain then this war has not started.
International Neocons strongly influence the policy direction of East and West, but with Putin having broken away, hopefully for the best interests of Russia, humanity has a chance to change course – away from self destruction.
What a brilliant sitrep nightvision. What a shame for Moldova that NATO has got its grubby paws into it. It has done a great job under severe pressure to maintain independence. Extraordinary about Poland. I don’t think it will end at all well for them. Meanwhile the tragedy of the huge numbers of Ukrainian soldiers dying for that animal Zelensky is deeply heartbreaking. Isn’t there some very high up General who could go against the coke addict and just surrender? NATO UK and USA have serious blood on their hands here.
Even if Russia lost Transnistria, geopoliticalky it would not be end of the world. Russian population could probably resettle in Russian held Ukraine or Russia. Armchair thinking, granted, course disregards suffering of population due to dislocations. Kazakhstan developments are more serious, as Rybar channel reports this strategically important country is moving away from Russia.
Kazakhstan is not going to move away from Russia. Like everywhere else nowadays there’s a large US dollar affiliated elite class in Kazakhstan making noise very similar for example to some smart elites here in Iran, because of the American pressures. They’re afraid that US freezes their wealth deposited in western banks. But the population is firmly behind Russia. Kazakhstan is a land locked country. From basic strategy it must absolutely support Moscow as well as Tehran if it wishes to survive in the upcoming brave new world order, unless the West conquers both adversaries. The other Central Asian stans will follow on the same path. There’s no way around it. Don’t be surprise if all the countries in Central Asia start sending volunteers to help the Russian SMO, when its time.
I’m Swiss, so I don’t speak English well.
But here I would like to post something that gives us a very good picture of the Uhraine.
I think 50% of Ukrainians think pro-Russian, not all Ukrainians are like that… but those in the East are now suffering especially from the Nazis in Kyiv.
And it is their part of the country that is now devastating.
It would have been easy to prevent the whole thing…… but if you look at the link….. it becomes clear why we are at war now.
Walter Roth / Switzerland
Thanks. Very interesting article. This is a minority indeed. But that kind of people was brought into positions of influence. The CAN/F/UK/US were looking for precisely that predisposition to violence. The ideology, in my opinion, is not the main thing. But if course it cannot simply be swapped against another ideology because the repertoire of Ukrainian history is apparently very shallow and there is not much you can find there in terms of ideology. Plus, the nationalistic ideology is the one that really hurt Russia. And that’s what it’s all about.
Re: War Crimes Trials
NATO officers in Ukraine and outside Ukraine will be likely charged with War Crimes. Command Respondility is a thing these days. The precedents of General Yamashita and the General Krstic reinforced this premise.
Note the latest conviction of a General found guilty of failing to prevent atrocities by troops under his nominal command.
Failure to Prevent is the expanded standard these days – NATO officers be aware
….A retired general of Bosnian Muslim forces in the 1990s war in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been sentenced to eight years in prison for war crimes committed by foreign fighters under his command.
Sakib Mahmuljin, 69, commander of the Third Corps of the Bosnian army, was sentenced on Thursday for his role at the top of the command chain of foreign fighters who executed more than 50 Bosnian Serb prisoners of war in Vozuca and Zavidovici in the northeast of the country….
General Radislav Krstic was the leader of the Drina Corps in Bosnia and is Bosnian Serbian. If you think the Hague Tribunal followed international law , you are sadly mistaken. Most of the indictments were politically motivated starting with Milosevic, Karadzic and Mladic. In fact, Holbrook signed a plea deal with Karadzic to leave politics in exchange for no Hague Tribunal indictments, we saw how that worked out for him.
For the other sentences such as Sakib Mahumujin, these are lower level sentences to show the world how the court is “unbiased” The Mujahadeen had various operating units in Bosnia as well as Russia and Greece, most have not been indicted or sentenced.
However, the war crimes of NATO was brushed off by the Hague Tribunal.
The Krstić verdict was a farce. It stretched the notion of command responsibility all out of wack.
However – it’s now international law and that Krstić precedence will come back to haunt NATO officers for a long long time.
The Sakib Mahmuljin precedence is even better than the Krstić verdict. failure-to-prevent is going to cause a lot of NATO General officers some serious trouble.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander
If this whole complex would be driven by European instead of Anglo Empire interests it would now be the chance to establish a stable post-WW2/post-Yalta (in parts even post WW1) order in Eastern Europe. Outline: 1. — Western Ukraine to Poland (west of Vynitsa – Shitomir OR along the old Austro-Hungarian border), with some border areas to Hungary and Romania. The rest of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
2. — Romania and Moldova reunite. Izmail is handed over to that new larger Romania in peaceful exchange for Transnistria which goes to Russia. Izmail cannot be held by Russia (squeeze – juice ratio). After the bridge at Belgorod-Nistrovsky has been cut, only the one at Mayaki remains, and that corridor road through the swamp of southern Moldova is a non-starter. If that Dnjestr border is rejected the only other option is the Prut border which means endless struggle and bad mood with Romania. So give up Izmail.
2b. — Hungary gets some areas in Western Romania to pacify that question.
2c. — Solve Kosovo question and stop anti-Serbian provocations.
3. — Then the big step: Russia giving up Königsberg. As price for peacefully getting most of Ukraine. Königsberg goes to Poland. In exchange Stettin and Swinemünde goes to Germany.
4. — And finally the giant leap: Full economic integration of the CIS, as well as Turkey and North Africa and the (ex-EU) in a new trade entity. Which tries to avoid the nonsense of the EU.
If such a construct is not achievable and the provocations and threats continue, Russia will eventually have no other choice but try to get back into the borders of the Russian Empire / Soviet Union. And that means war for the next 200 years.
This is actually a really decent plan that has a chance of being supported by all parties (with the sole exception of Ukraine, but hey…).
As a Pole myself, I would add another minor point. I think it would be also prudent for Poland to return Zaolzie to Czechia and finally lance that boil we’ve allowed to fester for nearly a century.
Re: the nuclear option. Russia would never have to use it. A single hypersonic conventional missile directed at the centres of a handful of American cities would provoke panic and a orgy of looting and destruction by the survivors, and possibly kick off a civil war as heavily armed law abiding citizens tried to protect their properties – just look at what happened in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina (was it?) in 2005. As for here in the UK, taking out a few MOD building and GCHQ would concentrate the minds and wet the knickers blundering Boris and sqawky chickenhawk Liz Truss. .
Possibly the best way would be to take out the electricity supply. Large transformers would be good targets – there are few spares and they have a very long lead time. Take out enough of those and the place would turn into Rwanda before they could be replaced.

In the Swiss news, one hears that the British want to liberate Ukraine, including Donbass and Crimea.
Well, when I consider that they only have a small force, which is very good, but just way too small, they couldn’t even protect their own country.
But somehow everyone here has gone completely insane….. you don’t hear any voices calling for negotiations, the Swiss government is so weak that it even threw our centuries-old neutrality overboard.
They want to jump over the cliff with the flock of sheep……
But that’s not the Swiss people…… we didn’t want that.
One should never forget that our young people don’t want to fight… some do, but there are only a few left. They are usually mentally and physically incapable of fighting.
They don’t want any of that either, but our government is just plain weak… so it jumps with the crowd.
I was in the army in the late 80’s. In the cyclist troop of our current finance minister, Federal Councilor Maurer.
It was a very good group, even if they were often laughed at because of their bikes.
Raised in the middle of the cold war, I shed all negative feelings towards Russia in the 1990’s. A new era began for me.
But yes, the neocons in the USA have more power than even I suspected. They plunge Europe into war just to protect their interests. Russia has very little government debt, but we are all bankrupt…… Switzerland supported the EURO with 8 million inhabitants and bought 1 trillion foreign exchange. Especially dollar and euro government bonds. Papers that can never be sold again…. because they are financially lazy titles.
Switzerland is rich, but our national bank has more debt per capita than the USA.
Well, the Russians wind up slow sometimes…….. Bears.
They should have cleaned out his pigsty in Ukraine 8 years ago.
Well, I and many Swiss are happy that they are doing it now……
As an American I concur with your statement as here in America the majority of us also do not want a war with Russia let alone any kind of world war. It should be apparent by now that the same international criminal cabal that controls the US government also has complete control of the EU, Canada, Australia, Ukraine etc. All the proof that you need is just to turn on any mainstream media news outlet in the US or any of the aforementioned nations and you will hear the exact same lopsided infantile Russophobia being regurgitated like a broken record.
This is the reason we need to tread lightly and be careful so as to not pass judgement on entire nations. For example I’ve spoken to a few Polish individuals and they also tell me that many of the people there do not want an escalation with Russia. It is the Polish government who has been given the role by the cabal as one of the main agitators in escalating the conflict in Ukraine. Many people online also are very harsh with the US as a whole and I understand their frustration because our foreign policy is despotic and tyrannical. But I have to say with all honesty that unlike our puppet government, most Americans are quite docile, generous, benevolent but also brainwashed and unaware of the truth. This distinction is important to keep in mind so as to not fall into the trap of developing hatred or animosity for entire groups of individuals or nations.
The neocons are international. For them, chaos is a seed, division a plow, and war the harvest. This is not insanity. This is evil.
Is it true that Swiss Mortar men or Machine Gunners keep their weapons at home ?
Sorry to interject this here, but it’s a great and positive view of life returning to Mariupol
Many thanks Chris,
Really quite moving to hear and see those Mariupol shoppers and citizens speak of
**Optimism and peace for the world**.
Also for individuals who have lost home and livelihood..
Do these words have any real meaning in the English language anymore … NYETTT!!!
Also attitude of that Italian journalist much appreciated..
Look forward to seeing major Chinese, Indian, Iranian, Russian investment so the local steel works
(disinfected of certain foreign *bio-agents..)
can be viably producing rail rolling stock, rails & pipes and even 20,000 ships within 6 months..
Also grain silos would be filling up….
PSS.. Many thanks again to Nightvision — are your IR spectacles solar powered!!!!
Firstly, kudos to NV for another excellent sitrep.
Secondly, some good discussion about potential moves from NATO aligned countries and how they ‘could’ take Transnistria using Romanian forces, if necessary. But this poses some questions…
I don’t believe that the Russians have neglected to run a war room scenario over its options for defending Transnistria. This would be a grave move by anybody contemplating such an amateurish move without considering the immediate repercussions.
At no stage did Putin suggest that they would definitely use nuclear weapons to hit NATO targets. Russia doesn’t need to. This in itself says a lot about Russia’s defensive options.
My God. The Russians best start mobilizing huge amounts of soldiers!
I want to present an alt. view.
Chance of it being probable? Anything from 1% to 100%
Here it goes..
Putin is in cahoots with the Luciferian West
The project? The dismemberment of the Ukraine
Russia gets the Eastern half, and the Black sea coast
Poland (and by default, the EU) takes the rest.
Dying Europe also gets a couple of million refugees
They stage manage the conflict as if the sheeple think we are on the verge of WW3.
Boris Johnson walks the streets of Kiev? gtfoh
If the war was real he wouldn’t dare go anywhere near.
Ditto for the ZOG embassy
Remember ,they did a similar thing with covid.
Total stage management.
Like I said, this is just speculation
These phucs lie about everything
Nothing is what it seems
I would prefer that we ignore this kind of alt nonsense. Perhaps it is all games in the USofA, but Russia has no time for rabbit hole games that don’t bring results.
All of this alt speculation is made up by clickbaiters, or by those that set out to confuse the thoughts of their own public.
You are very naïve about how the world works and who really pulls the puppet strings of world leaders. There used to be a wonderful website called The Daily Bell which supported the alt view Rick suggests. It explains many, many things.
OK, a friendly comment does not seem to do it.
Stop this line of commenting on the Saker blog. Take it elsewhere.
Russia ran the same pattern, Putin warnings went unheeded, Comrade Khinzal came to pay a visit, now they are all running around like headless chickens.
You’re truly naive, Amarynth, it is the “Luciferian West” in cahoots with Putin, didn’t you know all along? :-)
“Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over Ukraine in space.”
What is Putin waiting for to send two Kalibr missiles into that building and blow it up with all those bandits?
This would significantly reduce Nazi attacks on Russian troops.
Another excellent SITREP, Nightvision, thank you very much.
Indeed this is a savage street fight, time to put the boot in.
At first I thought the same thing and I have no doubt ultimately it will get hit, however
Never underestimate the intelligence gathering dimension. Russia knows that the probability of full scale war with Nato countries is very high. Practising intercepting Nato communications and signals in real time from their latest equipment might well come in very handy. That sight will give them a LOT of information about nato capabilities.
If I was in the shoes of the russian leadership, I would experiment with the polish intervention. First make clear ( through air strikes or other means ) what are the parts of Ukraine that “cannot be touched”. Let them occupy the rest. If the part about Poland wishing to build an area purged from the “nazi ways” is true, can you imagine the nazis’ reaction to such a betrayal?
This could completely destabilize and collapse ukrainian institutions and destroy the control the nazis have over the military. Massive defections, complete loss of morale, ukrops laying down arms in the tens of thousands each day.
The real problem in Transnistria. They hope to create a quagmire for Russia and use the weapons stored there to rearm the nazis. The only serious solutions looks to them to use the new toys ( Avangard?? ) to strke very hard at troops concentrations ( the romanian troops masking as moldovan ). The fact that civilians are leaving Transnistria is very good. No one will be able to play the “human shield” card this way. And the russians will have free reign to bomb the shit out of every moving thing.
Great to see the resilience of the human spirit, good luck to those people.
