Okay, my sense is that a large number of commentators are misunderstanding the nature of what is going on. So, this time, rather than writing an analysis, I will spell it out, ‘talking points’ – style and, hopefully, do a better job about making my point. So, here we go.
- THIS IS NOT ABOUT FLYNN. Let me repeat that once more. THIS IS NOT ABOUT FLYNN!!! Please don’t come and tell me that Flynn was wrong on Iran, on Islam or on China. I agree. But,
==>>THIS IS NOT ABOUT FLYNN!!!<<==
- THIS IS ABOUT POWER. As in, who is boss? Who is number one? Who is the alpha dog? The President or the ‘deep state’? That is what this is all about – showing everybody who is in charge.
- FLYNN WAS A SYMBOL. He was the symbol of the entire notion of draining the Washington swamp, which is mostly the 3 letter agencies + Pentagon anyway. Flynn was the guy who dared defy the thought police and be friendly with the Russians. Flynn was the man who wanted to bring the CIA and JCS back under White House control. And Flynn was the guy with contacts with SOCOM and JSOC. Flynn had to be brought down.
- FLYNN WAS ALSO A CORNERSTONE. For better or for worse, it is absolutely evident that Flynn was the brain behind Trump’s entire foreign policy. On some stuff Flynn was great (Russia), on some stuff he was okay (Takfiri terrorism), on some stuff he was ridiculous (China) and on some stuff he was terrible (Iran). But that is not what matters here. Listen to Kucinich who clearly says that this is not about Trump or Flynn, but about a coup against the Presidency by the US ‘deep state’. Now that Flynn has been brought down, there is no “Trump foreign policy” left.
- FLYNN IS ALSO A DOMINO. Okay, this is crucial, pay attention now. Putin has often been criticized for protecting his friends even when these friends are guilty of wrongdoings. Now let me ask you a simple question: would you rather stick your neck out for Trump or for Putin? Exactly. If Trump was a loyal kind of person he could have called Pence and Flynn to the Oval Office, told Flynn to apologize and told Pence to shut up. But he did nothing of the kind. By accepting Flynn’s “resignation” Trump showed that he does not protect those who fight for him. There will definitely be a domino-effect now as everybody who matters has now understood: Trump is weak, the Neocons got him by the balls, and Trump will leave you hanging when the shit hits the fan.
- FLYNN’S DOWNFALL IS A MESSAGE. A message to all those who hate Trump and what Trump represents. And that message is simple: we are back in control and the party is on! Now that Trump has been humiliated and broken, now that he lost his only high-IQ and powerful ally in the White House, the Neocons are the deep state are smelling blood and they will double-down and resume their attack with increased intensity. The next highly symbolic sacrificial victim might be the much-hated Steve Bannon. The bottom line is simple: the hunt is on for anti-deep-state ‘crimethinkers’.
- AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT IS ABOUT TRUMP’S CHARACTER. That was the big unknown, right? Nobody really new what kind of President Trump would make. Everybody, including yours truly, enjoyed speculating about his ego, his lack of political experience, the fact that he owed nothing to anybody, that he was a deal maker, a common sense pragmatist. Well, we still don’t know what kind of President Trump will be, but I am afraid that we now know what kind of President he will NOT be: he will NOT drain the swamp, he will NOT change the subordination of US national interests to the AngloZionist Empire, he will NOT forge a historical partnership with Russia and he will NOT send the Neocons down to the basement from which they crawled out 24 years ago. Whether Trump lacks brains, spine, or balls is anyone’s guess, but it is now painfully clear that he has much more in common with Yanukovich then with Putin.
As I said, it’s over. Not because of Flynn’s views on Iran or Islam. But because Trump has caved in, he has been broken and now all that’s left is a painful 4 year long agony. That’s assuming that the Neocons don’t impeach him just to bask in their arrogance and sense of supremacy.
Frankly, my heart goes out to all those who sincerely hoped that Trump will be the man to free the US from the Neocons and restore the power of the “basket of deplorables” over the many minorities and special interests. Some will now indulge in a lot of “I told you so” but they will be wrong. To hope for the best was the right thing to do. Those who voted for Trump did the only thing in their power to prevent Hillary from occupying the White House. That was the right decision, they did the right thing, both morally and pragmatically.
But now we also need to gather our courage and accept the reality of what has taken place. Minimizing the implications of this deep state coup makes no sense whatsoever, neither morally nor pragmatically. And the reality is this:
It took the Neocons and the US deep state less than a month to overturn the results of the Presidential election.
Trump now declares that he “expects Russia to return Crimea“.
It’s over folks – welcome (back) to the war between Russia and the Empire.
PS: one more thing. Trump himself was always, of course, the candidate of one part of the ‘US deep state’. Trump did not appear ex nihilo, and neither did Flynn. It is taking place is one faction of the deep state fighting against another faction of the deep state. The US elites have been split for a while now. But since Trump now has legal authority and those trying to color revolution him do not, I speak of the deep state vs the Presidency.
Exactly. But some of us DID see Trump as the lame duck he is quickly becoming. He is not a Republican insider, and the Dems, whether Clintonites or not have no use for him. I’ve been annoying friends family and enemies with this perspective since before Trumpy actually got the Repub nomination… and nothing I saw which might change my prediction…
not exactly .
for all your arrogant belief in your wisdom .
there’s not exactly between the sakers poits and your defeatism .
its a poor opinion that doesn’t negotiate its own bias .
the hope was worth the votes , your pessimism isnt worth spit , I aint bailing boats gonna sink anyways .
The fight has only begun
POTUS has loads of options
Michael Flynn isn’t Fading away
@realDonaldTrump got where he is b/c
POTUS is a fighter
Stay tuned for the next 8 to 12 years
Trump is earning a 3rd term
He is already 70 and fat unhealthy good luck if he makes his first 4
He will LOSER !
Amazingly things haven’t changed much since Julius Ceaser marched into Rome and declared himself supreme leader of the Roman Empire. People are ignorant of history and how important it is to suppress these competitive forces such as deep state. Like Trump or not Americans are about to lose their liberties granted by the constitution. It’s your loss and you’re never going to get it back once taken away. Smile!!!
Liberty’s/rights are not “granted” by the constitution! Our rights are Unalienable, which means that they are natural born rights that cannot be given or taken away by anyone, including government. Unalienable rights are upheld by the constitution, but not granted. This is why they changed the wording in the Declaration from Unalienable to INALIENABLE. There is a huge difference between the two.
@ Farms Clarity: Not sure exactly what you’re on about, perhaps are you still thinking Trump is going to magically MAGA when he can’t even keep known Washington/Goldman swamp creatures in appointed positions? There’s optimism, and then there is delusion. Even Bernays would tell Trump, stick a fork in it, the MAGA campaign ruse is done.
It is good in the wider scheme of things that the Clinton/Soros warmonger juggernaut has been set back in their endless Empire-building manipulations, but recent events worldwide show Soros is doubling down and resorting to many disruptive strategies. Soros hates to lose, and he lost several speculation market $billions betting for a Clinton win.
Again, Trump never had support of any factions in the Republican Establishment. None of the “traditional” Repub money sources backed his campaign (or rather hedged their bets in case their particular fave didn’t win), and since Citizens United, $US are plainly corporate/oligarchic political speech. The Repub-backers’ $US silence towards Trump spoke volumes. Only when the Clinton political machine eliminated the insider$ Repub candidates like Bush, then Dem upstart Sanders, did the Repub Establishment grudgingly accept they had to appear to voters they backed Trump or spend 8 years with the Clinton/Soros Dynasty becoming ever more powerful.
It goes without saying that Trump now has no meaningful support in the Dem camp, even if the Dems had the votes to make a difference in either the House or Senate.
Not pessimism, on my or Saker’s part, just stark observations of a deeply dysfunctional political/establishment class in the US. We are seeing ever more frequent waves of Disaster Capitalism being brought home to the US, and Trump is even less ill-equipped/connected to counter it than the usual Rep or Dem anointees might have been. Clinton knows where the Rothchild’s and Soros’ skeletons are buried and have the means to capitalize on it, Trumpy not so much.
Goering was right, the leaders will bring the pubic to war no matter what, and so was Smedley, all wars are bankers’ wars. The US political kabuki skirmishes are only over which group of 0.01% psychopaths will take the MIC profits/power, and which countries’ citizenry will provide the dead, impoverished and displaced. I would bet both Putin and Xi will make sure the Rothchilds, Soros and their ilk do not survive WW3, whether it is nuclear or conventional.
The only way to avoid having Russia and China take out the Rothschilds and “their ilk” in a WW3 scenario is for us “deplorables” to do the job first. Otherwise, my advice to Russia and China is, “Have at ‘er! Just don’t blink!”
To the Mods: I am NOT endorsing that citizens take it upon themselves to murder those in the 0.001% most responsible for the endless elective wars the world has had to (and it appears will have to again) endure.
@Clive Edwards: There is a brisk business providing security services to the Rothchilds and their ilk, so I highly doubt any “deplorables” could get within rifle-scope distance. Otherwise some dedicated lunatic would have already done it at least once. Let alone get the various nationalist deplorables organized enough to liquidate the targets spread world-wide all in a short enough time to prevent a few successful hits from scaring the rest into their nuclear bunkers or fortified islands.
No, this operation requires the resources and determination of “the rest of the world” to legitimize actions to make such future 0.001% machinations too risky to even consider. When the 0.001% also supply the dead, it will change. Remember when Moore embarrassed the US House and Senate members by showing how few of themselves and their progeny actually served in combat?
I’m reminded of Lord Farquaad in Shrek addressing the knights vying to be the ones to quest to save Princess Fiona, “Some of you will die, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take”.
Trump has picked up right where Obama, Bush and Clinton left off, killing on behalf of the 0.001%.
Here’s Steve Pieczenik entire different opinion about the resignation of Mike Flynn: http://stevepieczenik.com/the-dispensable-mike-flynn/
Don’t give up. trump fighting deep state on live TV RIFHT NOW.
The Soros driven Colour Revolution in Romania, only two months after a democratic election, is a sinister turn of events.
You’re not thinking. WHO fights the wars? The people do, and it is their lawful right to say “NO”. Under our legitimate government with non treasonous or non domestic enemies of our nation serving within the different agencies, etc we are NOT to go to war EXCEPT in the actual defense of our nation; and ONLY the Congress can send our people to war, with a declaration of war.
George Washington: “It is our true policy to steer clear of entangling alliances with any portion of the foreign world. The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible.”
Thomas Jefferson: “I have ever deemed it fundamental for the United States never to take active part in the quarrels of Europe. Their political interests are entirely distinct from ours. Their mutual jealousies, their balance of power, their complicated alliances, their forms and principles of government, are all foreign to us. They are nations of eternal war.“
John Quincy Adams: “America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom.”
Alexander Hamilton: “Foreign influence is truly the Grecian horse to a republic. We cannot be too careful to exclude its influence.”
Thomas Jefferson: “It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights; that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism; free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy, and not confidence, which prescribes limited constitutions to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power; that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no farther, our confidence may go…. In questions of power, let no more be said of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”
James Madison: “The power to declare war, including the power of judging the causes of war, is fully and exclusively vested in the legislature … the executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war.”
George Washington: “The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.”
James Madison: “In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the Executive Magistrate. Constant apprehension of War, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.”
James Madison: “Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. … No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”
Daniel Webster: “Where is it written in the Constitution, in what article or section is it contained, that you may take children from their parents and parents from their children, and compel them to fight the battles of any war in which the folly and wickedness of the government may engage itself? Under what concealment has this power lain hidden, which now for the first time comes forth, with a tremendous and baleful aspect, to trample down and destroy the dearest right of personal liberty? Who will show me any Constitutional injunction which makes it the duty of the American people to surrender everything valuable in life, and even life, itself, whenever the purposes of an ambitious and mischievous government may require it? … A free government with an uncontrolled power of military conscription is the most ridiculous and abominable contradiction and nonsense that ever entered into the heads of men”.
Right on Cal. Can I hear an ‘Amen’!
Fools we were to not heed the wisdom and warnings of our Founders. On a related note, there is a question that you don’t hear anymore. ‘What would Jesus do?’
Because Jesus was a socialist… handing out all those loaves and fishes, plus water-turned-to-wine… do unto others as you would have done to you… throwing out the money changers…
All the neo-con “Christians” rely heavily on the Old Testament, of which Jesus said: “Think not that I have come to abolish the Law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them.” The Law being the 10 Commandments and the prophets primarily being the reemergence of Elijah before the End. But the neo-cons take the eye-for-an-eye crap at face value, and as Gandhi said, the whole world is becoming blind for their efforts.
Even Old Testament prophets said God wanted wars to end and swords be beaten in to plowshares and spears to pruning hooks. And many immigrants to Israel formed kibbutzes, or communes… this went at least as far back as Masada, but somehow that socialism gets lost in the warmonger bravado.
So the Zionists and neo-con Christians don’t even accept the social constructs and beliefs of their founding societies and early leaders. No prophet, all profit…
it was a game to played, stupid.
A legal, citizenship, factful participation game. It pays off in the future,as history shows, upon say, 15 , 20, 30 years. And the opposite does not.
If you´ve turned the ‘King’ down in this chess before the game had even started, it is your problem.
self assuring losers sometime do it.
Neither replies do anything to show how Trump is truly in control of the situation. The courts have made hm back down on his idiotic immigration ban, the Deep State spooks Aad His Own Vice Pres have made him back down on Flynn. Two potential cabinet nominees have backed out. All of his cabinet was being filled with MIC/Wall Street-Goldmanites or other hard-line ideologue swamp-dwellers. And if he thought the MSM was against him during the election, slagging them in public even more will not go well for him. Add in real investigative journalism as found at Saker and similar sites was already prepared to speak against him if he maintained the foreign-policy status quo like he is (true alternative thinkers were just more against Clinton), with Wikileaks et. al. providing real info to the public.
Sorry, Trump is about to find out the world is a very different place to the view from the spoiled-brat billionaire bubble he has spent his 70 years in. It isn’t only Putin and Xi who don’t fear (or simply don’t respect) Donny-boy among the real-power-brokers, it is the entire Deep State and the Bilderberg/Davos crowd led by Rothchilds, Soros and Kochs etc. He can be a pawn to them or be sidelined.
Trump was finished long before the day the Soros/Clinton cabal decided he was an easier to beat candidate than any Repub-lackey or Sanders. Soros/Clinton put Trump in front of the US public, never thinking he might actually win. But that public has the attention-span of a gnat, so it won’t take many more weeks of Trump thrashing about for his numbers to inexorably slide, oversampled MSM polls notwithstanding. He is quickly becoming as isolated and powerless as a POTUS can be, having burned virtually every bridge he encountered before crossing it.
He can wave his cute little fingers in the special way of his to distract from the dogwhistle gibberish that emanates from his mouth, but eventually even his supporters will demand actual results. Blaming the MSM and the Deep State will only work for a while, but soon the question will be: Is he really the All Powerful Oz or simply a circus act snake-oil-salesman playing social media smoke/mirrors until some Toto pulls back the curtain?
The big question is still . . . . “when will you get over it?”
He is the president of the U.S.A.
People are forgetting one crucial thing, it’s Trump with all the weapons.
He can fire any executive employee
He can totally wreck the banks with the PRESIDENT’S working group on financial markets. 51 dollar silver by Friday? (Not that it will be but it’s a weapon)
Weiner’s laptop, how would congress respond with some big name pedophiles going down? Bill is actually helping them, same for press, judges
He can disappear anybody to Guantanamo bay.
These are not things that a president would do in a normal circumstance, but if he takes the gloves off he can bring these guys down faster than you can imagine.
how about an executive order saying no drug law is to be enforced?
Yes, he can…
But like the former, He won’t
Kushner won’t let him.
There’s no point in owning weapons if you’re not going to use them.
Bullies can be stopped by firm and immovable and EARLY resistance. This is basic human nature, understood by teachers and parents and policemen.
Putin and Orban are showing how to do it. Trump has shown EARLY that he can be knocked down. Now it’s too late to start fighting.
At the moment it is advantage Neo-Con deep state. It looks like they have the upper hand – but is it temporary or final?
The question is how will Trump respond. So far he has made it very clear there have been “illegal” leaks to the press and finding out where these are from are the top priority. Flynn himself has come out and also made this point in an interview about his call:
“….”It wasn’t about sanctions. It was about the 35 guys who were thrown out,” Flynn was quoted as saying. “So that’s what it turned out to be. It was basically, ‘Look, I know this happened. We’ll review everything.’ I never said anything such as, ‘We’re going to review sanctions,’ or anything like that.”
At the same time, Flynn said that ultimately he was most concerned about the steady stream of leaks of classified information to the media.
“In some of these cases, you’re talking about stuff that’s taken off of a classified system and given to a reporter. That’s a crime,” he said. “You call them leaks. It’s a criminal act. This is a crime. It’s not just a wink and a nod.”……..”
The next move is Trump’s will he now take out these “leakers” or fall again? Meanwhile the Neo-Cons are screaming and shouting about the other aides and Russian intelligence – all done to put maximum pressure.
Pepe Escobar has an interesting article – he says T K McFarland the deputy – is a positive pro-Trump candidate to replace Flynn:
So I’m eating the popcorn and watching the next move closely…..
Pence is playing Frank Underwood, or if you prefer the original , Francis Urquhart.
He can e knocked down, and he can get up again, fighting now.
Trump has the “weapons” of the executive branch, but it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t know how to use them. In fact, he might not know anything about the powers he has as president.
And who is there to advise him? Ivanka?
I think The Saker is right. Putin must be disgusted. And, be taking a lesson from the events on this side.
Maybe the Saker has been reading the same stuff I have been reading.
1. Peter Dale Scott, “Donald Trump and teh Deep State,” parts 1 & 2
https://whowhatwhy.org/2017/02/07/donald-j-trump-deep-state-part-2/ (link to part 1 at the end)
2. Nafeez Ahmed, “How the Trump regime was manufactured by a war inside the Deep State
A systemic crisis in the global Deep System has driven the violent radicalization of a Deep State faction,” https://medium.com/insurge-intelligence/how-the-trump-regime-was-manufactured-by-a-war-inside-the-deep-state-f9e757071c70#.djq69spzi
Nafeez Ahmed is brilliant. I think. Never heard of him before yesterday but someone put up a link at Consortium News in the comments section of Parry’s take on the Flynn Fling (also good, with good background survey on all the events after the election; that is, he skillfully weaves in how the left is cooking its own goose through its hysteria-based alignment with the neocons). The first part of the article is long and detailed, a good reference on the backgrounds of all of Trump’s cabinet and other appointments. But could get boring. Depressingly boring. Keep going. Or skip. Part 2 of this piece is the analysis, very broad-reaching, of the main deep split in the deep state, how that relates to the trajectory of the support systems of planet Earth, and how DJT fits in. What side he represents. The “establishment” deep state is taking him down. It is still all about energy, but not just the $$ aspect, nor even the directly economic. Per Ahmed, both sides are wrong in their idea of where we go from here. He draws on thinking from the field of EROI.
Not impressed with Ahmed, he has an agenda. Certainly not unbiased. Too focused on driving towards a low carbon society which affects his judgement. Displays a lack of critical thinking.
@ Anonymous: Trump (or more probably his adviser group) is going to be increasingly reticent about trying to rule by Executive Order, as nearly every EO he has issued has caused unintended negative consequences and bad public perception, and not just due to Deep State/Clinton/Soros manipulations/agitation. He is flying in the face of the fundamental checks-and-balances concept (no matter how illusory they have become) that US citizens believe (no matter how erroneously) keeps their country as the bastion of democracy for the world. He is acting like an irrational tin-pot dictator, which he has always done in his corporate/media circus act, but is not a good plan in the Oval Office.
He has forgotten (or maybe always got away without employing?) the first rule of selling a product or service, always under-promise and over-deliver… Trump over-promised HUUUGE, which all politicians do, but he underestimated just how effective the Deep State/Clinton/Soros crowd would be in reducing his ability to deliver. And the more lame the Trump-duck gets, the less support he will get from the bandwagon Repub Establishment.
Nafeez Ahmed is invaluable in exposing Imperialism.
Oddly, Nafeez Ahmed seems to stop looking for the origin of the US/NATO/Zionist imperialist Medusa in gov’t machinations. Those spy agencies are the eyes and ears of the Medusa, the CIA also operating as jaws and teeth to physically engage in “wet work” where the US/NATO military will/can not. Saker readers know the body of that Medusa is in generational elites like the Rothchild and British royal dynasties. There are come-lately pretenders to the world domination throne, like Soros, the Koch bros, Rockefellers, Goldmans etc.,
But few oligarchs have the brass of Baron Nathan Mayer Rothchild, who in the late 1800’s said “I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire, … The man that controls Britain’s money supply controls the British Empire. And I control the money supply.”
Some things never change.
Then he would get treated like JFK and he knows that
“JFK: The Smoking Gun” illustrates forensic investigator Donahue’s follow up on Bonar Menninger’s premise that yes, Oswald was indeed firing at and hitting targets in the Kennedy limo, BUT the accidental, totally fluke killshot came from the Secret Service car following behind. All the attempts to deny this scenario depend on the fact the evidence has disappeared, or the witnesses in the Secret Service car “saw, heard nothing”…
Given how the Deep State has acted during the election campaign and now against Flynn, is it any wonder no gov’t official in the Secret Service saw/heard anything in the Kennedy shooting? Calling Sergeant Schultz,
I don’t think it was the Deep State’s intent was to have Oswald kill Kennedy, otherwise they would have encouraged him to get a better rifle. Injuries only, so the Secret Service and FBI could play the role of anti-commie heroes.
The ‘shot from behind, accidentally, by the Secret Service’ is the stupidest lie yet concocted by the cover-up merchants. The witnesses from the roadside were near universal in saying the killing shot came from in front to the right, the Zapruder film shows that, and the head wound was from a bullet fired from the front, as testified by seventeen witnesses in the hospital trauma room, most medical experts.
@ Mulga: Sorry no, there is simply too much information indicating the Secret Service, and then the US gov’t in general, was covering up more than the simple incompetence of not foreseeing the potential for an ambush. The Wikipedia entry is well footnoted and pretty strictly references the US gov’t inquiries/commissions, and covers off the unlikelihood of a front kill-shot.
Kennedy’s head was jerked back by the acceleration of the car. He was basically a ragdoll at that point. There was no shooter on the grassy knoll. The front of his head was missing a lot of tissue, so what those hospital witnesses “saw” was a gaping exit wound. Mrs. Connally testified she was covered with the spray of Kennedy’s tissues which were documented as covering the rear interior of the limo, reaching as far as the front (yes the front) of the front windshield. A kill shot from the front would have sent the majority of tissue out the back of Kennedy’s head onto the trunk deck and beyond. What you see in Zapruder is the rear entry wound spray from the kill shot, plus finer exit wound tissue/blood carried in the air, rear-ward by the forward movement of the limo.
The likelihood Oswald actually hit Kennedy twice in a car moving away at a distance of 250 yards is a stretch. Especially since one shot missed the car entirely, proven to have struck a curb many yards away. A shooter good enough to do what Oswald is reputed to have done would notice a traffic light blocking his line of fire (the investigators actually took the curb, so why would they not also look at and take the traffic light if it was in the line of fire?), so I’m not buying that after-the-fact excuse. He missed by a wide margin on that shot. There were only three shots, one to the curb, one that hit Kennedy and Connally and the kill shot.
From his Marine records and testimony of fellow trainees, Oswald was an adequate shooter at best, sometimes shooting well but inconsistent. And this on a static-target firing range where he would have practiced often and would know the situational effect of variables like wind and lighting. The rifle used in Dallas was army surplus made in 1940, even if it did have a more modern sight (which could not have been properly aligned as it was missing key shims). Expert snipers have repeatedly tried to replicate the speed and accuracy while hitting a moving target, and match the witness statements and could not, even if one gives Oswald closer to 11 seconds rather than the 6 seconds originally thought. As well, from various film evidence, there is doubt Brennan, the key witness on where the shots came from, was actually looking at the Book Depository when all the shots were fired.
As badly as the US public reacted to Kennedy’s death, imagine the uproar if it was announced he was accidentally killed by the very Secret Service detail assigned to protect him. In retrospect, it would have been far better to have far less secrecy. I wonder how much will be held back after the scheduled release in Oct 2017.
Of course Oswald, a long-time CIA asset, who entered the Soviet Union and returned without trouble, and who was working with the CIA on an assassination plot, using cancer, against Castro, was the patsy. He knew it straight away, and had known Jack Ruby for years, perhaps even back to school.
The rest of your contribution, is, alas, pure rubbish. Seventeen medical witnesses reported an EXIT wound had taken out the back of Kennedy’s head. That is NOT an entry wound, but the result of a shot from the right front where all the witnesses in the vicinity reported the killing shot came from. And part of Kennedy’s occipital skull was found on the roadway, and the occiput is at the back of your head. The car ‘accelerating’ is particularly ludicrous, as all the witnesses reported it had slowed down to a near stop, no doubt to allow the shooters a better shot. Elements of the Secret Service were crucial to the plot. I recommend The Men who Killed Kennedy on Youtube, and Douglas’s ‘JFK and the Unspeakable’, to clear up your misconceptions.
“it’s Trump with all the weapons. .”
But WHO in America will PUBLICLY support his using them ?
In comparison, that is, with the LEGIONS of Anti-Trump malcontents and mischief-makers – from the highest Machiavellian plotter in the Executive to the lowliest SJW slogan-shouter – who command EVERYONE’S attention, thanks to a somewhat less-than-free MSM.
I sincerely hope that the Saker and others are wrong in their analysis of Flynn’s forced departure, but – at this very moment – it DOES rather look as though Trump has needlessly bared his jugular to the wolf-pack, whose taste for blood ever grows with the feeding……………………..
I totally agree and I have few friends left from my activist group.
Trump looks more and more like a Trojan Horse who will disgorge Pence as President, when Trump is forced to resign. Pence is a Dominionist, and he’ll be on board with war against Russia because that will bring The Rapture very much closer. Gog and Magog and all that.
And to show how lost Trump is (assuming it’s not fake news), he has apparently lashed out after the Flynn debacle trying to show how “tough on Russia” he can be by demanding Putin return Crimea to Ukraine.
Not fake news: Spicer said so – and that Nikki girl earlier.
Maybe his agenda is primarily domestic and doesn’t feel like getting killed over improving diplomatic relations with a country half a world away.
I could not agree more.I never had much faith in Trumps ability to change the internal situation in the US for the better. That wasn’t why I supported him. I supported him because of his “stated” desire to have better relations with Russia. And to stop the US interference in other countries.Certainly it was only “a hope” on my part. But it was better than the “certainty” of massive problems, if not actual war, with a Clinton election. That “hope” is almost all gone now. He’s showing himself too weak to battle the “neo-cons and deep-state” ruling the US. Without even a real “battle” he is caving into them.So while he still (so far) is better than Clinton. Its the only “consolation” we can have.
I knew right from the begging when Trump announced his presidency that he would become the next president. Why and how? I put my self in the shoes of the criminal Zionists and there I had it.
The Trump Game is the biggest con game, or shall-game perpetrated by Washington ever. Trump is designed to placate the angry masses, promote fascism, intensify Iranophobia and Islamophobia. And try to deceive Russia into a grand bargain that will see Russia split from China and Iran. That’s what Flynn, Trumps statements are all about. Its Kissinger 2.0. And Kissinger is one of the Godfathers of the Zionist Neo Cons and happens to be a special advisor to Trump.
The world people, especially Arabs will lose, the people of the Donbass will lose. In fact, the American people are going to lose big time because America cant take anymore wasting of time and resources. The only entity that promises to gain from the Trump con game is Israel.
Nothing new here, every U.S. President sells out his countrymen and nation for the bastard state of Israel.
I knew this was going to happen all along, I could have made serious money if I would have bet on the Trump horse early on.
Netanyahu will be visiting his colony, the U.S., Wednesday. To give Trump his script and orders.
I agree with you Bored. I expected nothing from him. But he did keep Hillary Clinton from power, and she was a truly frightening prospect. The middle east would have been in (bigger) flames by now, and head on with Russia and Iran if he had not.
The larger debate here and elsewhere – the underlying meme of The Saker etc – is angst over the death of the American State and Europe to the supranational interests of a new aristocracy. And yes, Zionist interests all ways find their way into that sewer.
The fundamental reason why Trump won and also why he capitulated, and also why America is eating itself is because America has become cowardly. Not just en masse, but individually and personally cowardly. And I mean this to hurt you Americans. The inner state appears ‘strong’ and effective because your presidents are weak and self serving cowards. You voted for a guy that you hoped would do the heavy lifting for you in return for a little cheering and flag waving while you went about your daily lives, and now you feel let down by a guy that, like you, has rolled over and looks to his own interest first.
A nation armed to the teeth and not one iota of a chance of a French style revolution. Not one banker paying his due, Soros at large, Clinton and Bushes free to come and go, the outrages of the media. Betrayal and treason in plain sight.
I have said this before, and I’ll say it again. If you do not have the gumption to get up and do something about the insidious evil that your state has become in the world, be prepared, because that states rapacious greed and enslavement to debt will march your sons and daughters off to an unwinnable war, and there the rest of the world will start and finish the job that you have failed to do at home.
It’s do or die time, America.
That’s true. It’s been true for quite some time. Certainly before Flynn resigned. Anyone that thought these guys (Trump, Bannon, Flynn, etc) could do much without a better population behind them than Nov 8, 2016 was smoking weed.
And weed consumption is increasing dramatically. Can a nation that has gone to pot be “great”?
Not without enormous difficulty and change, top to bottom. The head (top) can be blown off if the (bottom) legs need to park in the handicap zone and the abdomen is 2-3 times its natural girth.

Ok. Tell us, step by step, what we must do. I’m listening. ‘Raise a militia army ? March on D.C.? I’m all ears.
I can say this much.
Get a group together and include some lawyer, lobbyist, and legislative experts in it. Choose the law or policy you want to change and put together a package of of what you want, including sample bills, how to fund, and so forth, and get them to the various legislators (who hate to write laws but want stuff handed to them), along with the political talking points and advantages to help get them re-elected. Also have a media committee to grease the rails for it. In other words, form some kind of shadow government organization that the government people can understand and make use of. Make it easy for them to cooperate with you. Lobbyists know how to do this, and difficult or dangerous not to, and that includes working on the local levels.
The first thing to know about the prostitute is what the going price is.
The world people, especially Arabs will lose, the people of the Donbass will lose. In fact, the American people are going to lose big time because America cant take anymore wasting of time and resources.
The possibility that Donald Trump is just the other side of the same coin existed right from the start. Nevertheless I hoped for a different approach towards foreign policy. With Hillary Clinton further escalation of existing conflicts would’ve been certain – at least in my opinion. Too many times she had shown her downright hostile attitude towards Russia, Iran and China.
The people of most Middle Eastern Countries were on the losing side in any case:
Hillary Clinton 2008 : “If I’m the president, we will attack Iran”
Hillary Clinton and James A. Baker laughs about possible war with Iran.
In the case of Donald Trump I had hoped that his tough words directed at Iran and China was merely campaign rhetoric. He seemed to be the most “rational” candidate of the remaining options for president. Does anyone remember his remarks regarding the prior meddling of the US in the Middle East? He had been quite critical of the past commitment and the results of the US military.
What we need right now is a wonder, otherwise we – mankind – will go down. It will be either slowly by obliterating the Middle East and then trying to conquer Russia or fast by confronting Russia and China right away. The only difference will be the pace of events.
Putin won’t fall into the trap. Once China is destroyed, Russia is certainly next. Putin is no fool, which is why the Zionazi psychopaths hate him so very much.
“Whether Trump lacks brains, spine, or balls is anyone’s guess, but it is now painfully clear that he has much more in common with Yanukovich then with Putin.”
So well said and formulated.
I add that the whole affair is not a bad think, America is weaken and divided. Hopefully stays that way till Russian Army is fully rebuild to face any treat. We are already ready, what I meant is to crash enemy within 7 days, and celebrate in Brussels with opening Putin speech – “I told you so ..”
Yes Saker your right, once i herd Trump say, “Crimea sould return to Ukraine” nothing has changed in the Empire, just more smoke an mirrors..
The Trump show is the bread and circus for the agitated masses.
‘ Russia should return Crimea to the Ukraine’……should be said ‘Russia should surrender the Crimea to the Ukraine’…..
..which is a dead-starter if there ever was one. Russia will go to open war for her territories.
It is not over yet. Sometimes, you have to take a few steps back to jump better…
It doesn’t have to be over yet; depends on Trump’s recovery. Let’s see.
After the FIFA World Cup in Russia in July 2018 it will be over – one way or the other.
Putin’s patience (or perhaps even more accurately), the patience of those around him will run out by then I suspect.
When are those Russian-Chinese pipelines due to come online? Might be 2019 is it?
So what do we have between now and then.
Netherlands Election (March 2017) – and the possible election of Geert Wilders who could well destroy the EU/Euro
French Elections (April/May/June 2017) – and the possible elections of Marine Le Pen, or even Francois Fillon – who could both prove great Presidents for world peace – destroying the EU in the process, and perhaps NATO as well…. Although clearly Macron is being lined up as the candidate of the status quo.
Greece in the Euro (July 2017) – Will Trump pull the pin on IMF participation in the Greek bailout and thus perhaps lead to the destruction of the Euro? Well Ted Roosevelt Malloch help him in this quest?? Perhaps, too early to say. We’ll know by July though.
German Elections (September 2017) – Merkel or Schulz? Does it matter a yelp? Nope. Germany isn’t set to change course anytime soon.
Russian Presidential Election (March/ April 2018) – Surely another term for Putin to take him through to the centenary of Lenin’s death in January 2024. Given those timescales, you can see why Putin has a large degree of patience in these matters.
Italian Elections (By May 2018) – Will 5 Star get elected and lead Italy out of the Euro and perhaps degrade and destroy the European project in the process…
FIFA Russian World Cup (June/ July 2018)
Given those above dates, I’d say Putin has plenty of patience to see how things play out in Europe – at least for the next 18 months, but after that?
UK pulls out of the EU (March 2019) – Will it really have a big impact on geopolitical arrangements? Doubtful absent other events as mentioned above.
I think you are being too optimistic about the World Cup in Russia in 2018. The Russophobes are doing everything they can to cancel that. And it won’t surprise me one bit if we hear soon that its canceled. They’ll probably wait until the end of this year. Or the beginning of the next. But they’ll say that with the “doping” scandal. They just “can’t ” hold the World Cup there.Or some of the Western countries teams will threaten a boycott, unless its canceled. I’m not sure which “particular” excuse they’ll use. Maybe Russia not “returning” Crimea. Or “invading” Ukraine. Or some such foolishness. But I would not bet on the Cup being held in Russia in 2018.They can’t let another magnificent event like Sochi happen again. Russia has to always be portrayed as this “horrible” dictatorship. And millions of Westerners can’t be allowed to see the real Russia.
I don’t disagree with you, but I have no doubt Putin is going to do everything he can to ensure it goes ahead in Russia next year – and that includes not rising to provocations (like an attack on Iran perhaps).
Between the World Cup and standing with Iran the choice is more than obvious, you stand with your friends. But really,Putin doesn’t have to do anything in reaction to anything.Just like with the doping scandal. Putin did nothing and didn’t react to the lies. And that didn’t save Russia from being savaged. It has nothing to do with Putin (other than using the cancellation to insult him). They made the decision to “punish” Russia for not kneeling. And they won’t call that off unless Russia kneels before the Cup.When all is said and done,I don’t see that happening. So hence,I don’t see the Cup in 2018 in Russia happening either.
I think the problem Putin has in relation to the World Cup.
If Russia loses it, for whatever reason, who will be to blame? Who will Russian people blame?
I think they’ll likely blame Putin – probably because they’ll conclude his “turn the other cheek” governance hasn’t got them anything.
In that scenario, if that happens before the Russian elections – you might well get a more nationalistic person being elected (or perhaps, Putin will himself turn far more nationalistic to win back this lost support).
If he does that, he is playing into the hands of Western troublemakers who will find it far easier to paint him as a “dictator” were that to happen.
That is the danger he faces and he risks being painted into a corner over the next year.
Yes , but all of that presupposes that the World Cup hosting right is as ” valuable” as it was perceived previously to be.
I suspect that we have all grown up a little bit since then , and events may accelerate that growth.
World Cups , of whatever stripes, are just loss- making show-ponys, are they not?
Julian, you seem to think that Putin is a fool, and that the Western fake-stream media vermin are capable of doing anything other than follow orders from Satan Murdoch et al-to relentlessly and ceaselessly demonise him no matter what he does.
So…. he should threaten to bomb Europe if they don’t hold the cup in Russia?
To allow the destruction of Iran in return for the World Cup going ahead would be madness. In any case, if the Zionazis had successfully bombed Iran back to the Stone Age, they would then proceed with the boycott. These are treacherous psychopaths, if nothing else.
Please stop using terms like ‘zionazi’. You know nothing of national socialism.
I’m with you, Bob. There will not be a FIFA World Cup in Russia. The Russophobe psychopaths will Never allow that. At the Very least they’ll arrange a boycott, and severe bullying of African and Latin American countries to comply.
Who cares about the World Cup? Why waste money and materials on another circus show like the Olympics?
Also, does anyone notice that military conflicts seem to escalate during such events (8/8/8 in Georgia during Beijing olympics and Ukraine during Sochi olympics and the Brazil World Cup? I remember thinking that some action is being deferred until the end of the event… Imagine if something happened during the event in Russia? It would be a total public relations disaster. I do hope they lose the World Cup before it becomes a bigger liability.
A referendum on Scottish independence in autumn 2018 in the works too.
Eurovision 2017 to be held in Ukraine………
I think many of us will be hoping for this Johnn.
Don’t think so. In warefare, the first who shoot and touch, win.
Trump is dead wounded with mad dogs around him. He will try to crawl back, try to repel a few, but it’s over.
Still being a bit hasty. We don’t know what exactly is going on behind closed doors. They may think they can avoid an MSM shitstorm by firing Flynn but keeping him close, this might be understood between them. Tactical retreat. Whether it will work or not, who knows. The likelihood that Trump would revolutionize the US policy elite was always low, the entrenched establishment is strong as hell. Besides, lets not think of geopolitics in religious terms. US foreign policy is shaped by real constraints and threats. Much of the logic of it is geographically and economically deterministic, I’ve been taking a course on realist grand strategy, but it would be hard to explain succinctly. This is Athens vs Sparta, liberal, faggy trade pelagic power vs, well, Sparta.
The bottom line is: it’s a race between the financial collapse and terminal polarization of the US vs the arrival of its chance to pull a Yugoslavia on Russia. Looking at the incredible buildup from Estonia to Romania, they are very consciously in this race.
Humane governance- whatever you want to call it, democracy, social justice, whatever, relies on multipolarity. The west went from Dickensian to Social Democratic largely because of the threat of violent overthrow by the organized disadvantaged which the Bolsheviks made real, and the resultant geopolitical competition necessitating domestic soft power techniques. Without multipolarity there is only serfdom and the dark satanic mills. Pray.
We know exactly what’s going on. Trump is just another poodle of Washington War Party.
When Smedley Butter outed the elites behind the coup against Roosevelt in 1931, Roosevelt didn’t go after them, because he “needed those bastards”. I have often wondered why they didn’t hang those Civil War officers that trained at West Point and fought for the Confederacy. Politics is the art of deception to get what you want.
I’m inclined to go with the saker on this one.
I have often wondered why they didn’t hang those Civil War officers that trained at West Point and fought for the Confederacy.
If the wind always blows from the same direction the trees grow crooked.
Thanks so much for the link to this important document.
… realist grand strategy, …
What did happen to the meaning of words? Maybe I got the words “realist” or “Realpolitik” completely wrong. Does “Realpolitik” really mean that if I want to drink a beer, but don’t have any at home, then I’m going to my neighbor, beat the crap out of him and take his – instead of buying my own beer? That’s totally nuts …
I warned you 1 year ago about Trump when I repeatedly posted his March 2016 speech at AIPAC where he got standing ovations for a reason.
Now, stop blaming it on the loss of his adviser.
Check this out: https://news.mail.ru/politics/28775568/?frommail=1
Trump hopes that Russia will “return Crimea to Ukraine”
How will you interpret this once again?
Simply accept he was a wrong Messias, like Obama at the time.
Of course: Hitlery wouldn’t have been the same or even worse.
@How will you interpret this once again?
Preparing his Chabad progeny for the positon of Khagans of Neo-Khazaria? They would need the imperial palaces of Crimea.
Thanks for bringing that up. The Zionist Khazars are out to get Russia for ideological and messiamic reasons. The neo-Jews want a greater Israel in the Middle-East and a Khazarian Kingdom in South-Western Russia, and they will not stop their thirst for Russian blood
Seems they are deploying a massive world-wide pincer movement to achieve this effect. These folks are most relentless indeed. They only understand force.
So what next?
The situation is as if Hillary has been elected with the march to war.
Did Russia relax their guard? Do they perceive the situation as you do?
I read that Lavrov (again) making plans to meet with Tilerson on the sidelines in Bonn. This was reported in Tass. Can he really be that clueless?
It seems to me that Russia need new people to deal with what’s coming lavrov and churkin are too wishy, washy
Churkin private meeting with Nikki Haley looks ridiculous now
1. Sanctions applied to Russia
2. Troops on Russian Border
3. Russian diplomats expelled from USA
4. Russian Athletes banned from olympics
5. Russian Planes and personnel openly killed by USA
6. Claims by new administration to return Crimea
7. Western forces operating openly in Ukraine
8. Western Murder of Sergei Primakov
9. Mike Morell calls for Russians in bodybags
… My comments are not being posted, I am accused of being unpatriotic, I am accused of being a russophobe, so bizarre you would think if I am calling for immediate action I am a patriot but no, all of the beloved people commenting asking for more patience AFTER NUMEROUS PROVOCATIONS ARE THE GLORIOUS WARRIORS OF RUSSIA!!!! WE NEED TO ATTACK NOW
My comments are not being posted, I am accused of being unpatriotic, I am accused of being a russophobe
Dunno about that, but if you continue posting ALL IN CAPS sentences YOUR COMMENT WILL NOT BE POSTED!!!!!!!!!!!
How about you calm, down, familiarize yourself with the rules, and then comply ;-)
Thankfully, you are not one of the decision-makers. And thankfully, neither am i.
Instructions to Trump from the neocon deep state:
Trump expects Russia to ‘return Crimea’ – White House
To Nussimien and all migrant’s lovers: The next innocent 22 years young girl was stabbed to death with a knife by a nigerian so called “refugee”:
Once again the girl was a refugees welcome volunteer.
Why are you addressing your remarks at Nussiminen and “migrant lovers”?
I don’t think there are any ‘migrant lovers” here, let alone criminal migrant lovers.
There are some people here who have expressed concern and understanding about the refugees’ plight in being forced to leave their countries by deliberate Anglozionist aggression against their countries. But nobody here gives a fig about the hordes who took advantage of the upheaval to masquerade as refuges and join the exodus to Europe.
The real refugees deserve our respect and generosity but the cause of their misery, the politicians who ordered the onslaught against their countries and consequent stampede, should be the ones to carry the burden of looking after the refugees, not the host people. Better still, removed from office, tried for high treason and shot – the Stalin way for traitors, speculators and embezzlers.
> Why are you addressing your remarks at Nussiminen and “migrant lovers”?
Oh, he knows why.
> I don’t think there are any ‘migrant lovers” here, let alone criminal migrant lovers.
There is a bold difference between to believe, to guess, to assume versus to think.
> The real refugees deserve our respect and generosity
I couldn’t agree more.
But which real refugees have 5000 or 10000 EUR that they need to pay the traffickers?
No my fiend, real refugees die on the spot in Syria.
But the scum that makes it to Europe – those are not refugees.
Real refugees would also be thankful for every help.much in contrast to throwing away food and water because they want a house, a BMW, a blonde wife and what else.
Lets hope you’ll never need to flee your home country.
The link that you’ve posted indicates that you’re Deutscher. You should’ve been taught history in school – assumed it’s still been taught in a proper way.
According to your logic those German Jews who were sent to the death camps would’ve qualified as real refugees and those who were able to emigrate to Palestine were no refugees at all – because they could afford to leave the country? The Haavara Agreement said that emigrants needed a minimum of £1,000 to emigrate to Palestine.
The comment above should’ve been directed at Kirov. (My fault …)
And if it really interests you: I know from my own ancestors very precisely what real refugees are.
First as social democrats and communists under Nazi rule.
Then when all of them that were still alive were expelled by the Poles from their homeland Silesia and East-Prussia.
A few of them were teenagers – they got shot even though they were innocent.
Others never returned from Siberia.
And now again I myself needed to flee the new German 4th Reich EU!
I have boycotted the German army and escaped them 100%.
I also boycot GEZ and as many other payments that I can.
My homeland Soviet East-Germany was peaceful and never attacked any other country. But it got destroyed in 1990.
By your government!
Now switch on CNN again and enjoy your latest “news” program.
I speak several languages.
How does it identify me as a “German” if German is one of them?
Also you are just ignorant to compare Jews under WW2 to those rapefugees that are invading Europe now.
In Germany you would be subject to prosecution now for having diminished the Holocaust (though comparing apples to Kiwis).
Why are you ranting against me?
You must be a MSM slave, judging from your mainstream views.
p.s. You cannot know who Kirov was.
Use yandex …
Sounds familiar — I remember a while back in the US when the operative phrase was ni**er lover’ (popular with the KKK). KKK also used anecdotal incidents to condemn the whole race. It was ugly racism then, and I’ll say the same thing is true with the phrase you are using now.
oi I think I missed the main point of my last post: All we could ever realistically hope for is as much delay as possible in the US assault on the heart of Eurasia. Even the last 3 weeks of hindrances, uncertainty and chaos for mammon have been invaluable. Kellogg has spoken softly on Russia too, Trump may yet hold the dogs at bay, we may get our 8 years and full S-500 deployment, but be thankful for every day of delay and hindrance to the anti-Eurasian imperative.
I think you made your point very well in the first portion of your comment. It would be gross dereliction of duty (and even worse) if the Kremlin leadership has not planned for the worst scenario regardless what happens in Natoland. Besides, the only deterrent is a alerted, prepared and ready Russia, and never let the guard down.
The problem with the 8-year period of grace is that it is a double blade sword and the Empire will not stand idle while Russia improves its defences. I fear the clash is inevitable (the hegemon is incapable of redemption) and is up to the Russian strategists to dust the Soviet plans and learn a thing or two about what to do!
Painful as it is, the analysis stands correct.
Trump and his trusted advisers who told him to cut Flynn loose have failed at a critical moment in their history.
Trump blinked. But he lost his foreign policy. Correct.
And now they will try to disrupt his economic policy.
They are going to close in tight and slash at Bannon, KAConway, KT McFarland (Flynn’s deputy), and keep after Jared and Ivanka. Trump will be like Perot who quit his race when they went after his granddaughter’s character.
They keep attacking every aspect of Trump and eventually it will get overwhelming.
He had a 30-60 day window without all this miasma. Now he has about ten days to correct his inner group.
If he does not marginalize Pence, he is lost. Preibus will be easy to control, another mole. But Pence is the appointed one. He needs to be compromised.
A Machiavellian gambit would be to blame Pence on leaks. Certainly he’s on the team doing the leaks.
Throw him to the public. Shame him. Shun him. Force Pence out.
The description of a stage, staged events and characters, even clowns for comic relief. Politics for the masses as theatre, staring celebs and scoundrels for entertainment while behind the scenes the eminences grises perform diabolic savagery.
Nothing wrong with the regime, the system, the structure, the ideology, the institutions of a rapacious and murderous hegemon!
It’s all an interplay where the cast of actors and characters intermingle to befuddle a child-like audience into believing a non-existing reality. Exeunt.
Here’s another takealleging that one part of the “deep state” is attacking another– the Trumpster “nationalists” :
How the Trump regime was manufactured by a war inside the Deep State
A systemic crisis in the global Deep System has driven the violent radicalization of a Deep State faction
The Trump regime is not operating outside the Deep State, but mobilizing elements within it to dominate and strengthen it for a new mission.
The Trump regime is not acting to overturn the establishment, but to consolidate it against a perceived crisis of a wider transnational Deep System.
The Trump regime is not a conservative insurgency against the liberal establishment, but an act of ideologically constructing the current crisis as a conservative-liberal battleground, led by a particularly radicalized white nationalist faction of a global elite.
Yes, I read this.
Very worthwhile read.
Pull back farther and get the bigger picture.
The world-systems view.
Per Nafeez Ahmed, the deep state is an international system controlled by the US Deep State.
He compares the Deep State system to a weather system. Always in existence but always transforming. Against conditions that are also changing (earth conditions where supply of energy is running down, ergo no genuine economic “growth” is possible and all supposed “growth” is achieved via smoke and mirrors).
Takeaways from https://medium.com/insurge-intelligence/how-the-trump-regime-was-manufactured-by-a-war-inside-the-deep-state-f9e757071c70#.fa3l4mkia
1) State power was deployed to integrate the resources, raw materials, fossil fuel energy reserves, and cheap labour from these vast areas of the world into a global economy dominated by transnational elite interests based largely in the US, UK and Western Europe.
This, too, opened the way for new forms of criminalization of state power. This can be illustrated with a powerful example from terrorism finance expert Loretta Napoleoni, who chaired the Club de Madrid’s terrorism financing group. She reports that financial deregulation pursued by successive US governments paved the way for different armed and terror groups to link up with each other and with organized crime, generating an overall criminal economy valued at about $1.5 trillion. This criminal economy consists of “illegal capital flights, profits from criminal enterprises, drug trading, smuggling, legal businesses, and so on”, most of which is recycled into Western economies through money laundering via mainstream financial institutions: “It is a vital element of the cash flow of these economies.”
But the problem goes further. As the primary medium of exchange for this criminal economy is the US dollar, the latter’s role as the world reserve currency has cemented a structural situation in which the economic power of the US Treasury has become conditional on the economic immunity of transnational criminal networks, who systematically use US dollars for criminal transactions: The greater the stock of dollars held abroad, the greater the source of revenue for the US Treasury.
2) Over the last century, the net value of the energy we are able to extract from our fossil fuel resource base has inexorably declined. The scientific concept used to measure this value is Energy Return on Investment (EROI), a calculation that compares the quantity of energy one extracts from a resource, to the quantity of energy used to enable the extraction.
There was a time in the US, around the 1930s, when the EROI of oil was a monumental 100. This has steadily decreased, with some fluctuation. By 1970, oil’s EROI had dropped to 30. Over the last three decades alone, the EROI of US oil has continued to plummet by more than half, reaching around 10 or 11.
Force Pence out.
Only possible via impeachment (criminal charges by, and trial in, Congress). Congress (establishment puppet show) is Pence’s near-at-hand political support against Trump.
Trump forces would need to catch him with his membrum virilum in an eight-year-old (and take photographs) for that to happen.
The original comes from a politician: “The only way I can lose this election is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy”.
I’m thinking TupPence is not likely for either.
He got it wrong, I think. There was another quip from a European politician about one of his peers there who was in hot water over relations with an adolescent girl (Italian) ?
“If it had been a boy there would be no problem.”
Sad but true.
They look after their own.
Pence is the Trojan Horse’s surprise contents. Or, if you prefer, the cuckoo in the nest, about to evict ‘brother’ Trump. As a Dominionist he will be a real nightmare compared to Trump, and even more slavish towards Israel. The neo-conservative sayanim clearly think so because they are Trump’s most vociferous enemies.
Think of sacrificing Flynn as the step to sidelining Pence. Was his complaint against Flynn a one-shot thing? Could he do it again? What were Pence and Priebus needed for? When will they no longer be needed? What will happen if Pence loses his security clearance?
It’s a little quick for me to jump off the ledge all of three weeks in, I’m still hopeful.
I am Alt Right and I stand with Christian Russia….don’t forget the missiles given to the Saudi cockroaches today….F Trump….and I voted for him….
With all due respect (and you have earned a ton from me) I think you may be putting too much of an internationalist perspective on this. Trump’s real agenda is domestic and pragmatism is his game. One of his short term goals in NOT to shutter the factories that make the tools of war and idle hundreds of thousands of highly paid workers and give a toe hold to his foes to dis him.
As the saying goes, “How do you eat an elephant? One spoonful at a time.” He has both an allegorical elephant and a real one (in the neo-cons) in the Oval Office with him. Things are unlikely to suck any worse under him internationally than under Obama. Plan “A” with Flynn is on hiatus…there is still ample time for plan “B” for international change. Meanwhile I’d be willing to bet that there will soon be a compromise reached on a hitherto intractable domestic issue. Trump makes deals…I doubt he’s accepting defeat as you see it, rather segueing for a victory on a different file and learning “bigley” from the mistakes/under-estimations of this sad affair.
These guys are all pretty sharp and I’m confident this present outcome wasn’t entirely unanticipated. You gotta’ have some faith that the guy didn’t get where he is because he gives up easy…plus he’s a very good golfer and used to having things go sideways when it matters most.
Saker – you’re right “this is not about Flynn”, but I disagree with declaring this a victory for the “Deep State”.
Trump dismissed Flynn because Flynn was disloyal to Trump, not the other way around. Flynn, for God only knows what reason, was not completely forthright. It became an integrity issue.
Apparently Flynn had the idea that he could work his own secret deals and manipulate Trump, instead of being an honest servant.
Had that not happened Flynn would still be National Security Advisor and no amount of Deep State histrionics would have dislodged him from his position.
All the clowns in the Deep State, Congress, and the media dislocating their shoulders patting themselves on the back because they “got Flynn” are deluding themselves.
Bannon, Miller, and Spicer et al aren’t going anyplace. And neither is Trump.
How many have been murdered in the Donbass?
How many foreigners calling for return of Crimea?
There is no more need for all of these mental gymnastics posts reasoning about the logic of putin and the patience and the chess prowess of the kremlin…
Sergei Glazyev has called for total mobilization of the economy in preparation for immediate war. What is the point of a quiet rearmament to simply disclose what we have like we did today with ss-X8c? They don’t care or take us seriously. They ran from a ropucha class landing ship? There are now thousands of troops in estonia….There are now movement of American troops back to Afghanistan, There is general mobilization of Ukrainian Armed Forces…
the only thing being neutered is true Russian patriotism by calling hotheads russophobes
yes I am a hothead and proud, I will die in the trenches at volokolamsk like they say— I am not afraid of this! Is Kremlin suggesting that Russians are afraid to die defending the motherland?
On top of all of this they will say why don’t I do something— What? be assassinated like givi, motorola, primakov, mozgovoi, and numerous kremlin insiders?
Why has there not been a call for general mobilization of the reserve forces and logistical forces? General mobilization of the central bank and removal of the head of the bank in preparation for immediate high intensity conflict, Mobilization of the navy, air force, and ground forces in preparation for immediate seizure of northern islets to secure the northern route, mobilization of volunteers for combat in Ukraine, Emergency seizure of all corporate owned gas fields and immediate armament of reserve tanks, mobile artillery, mobile missile systems, conscripts, shutdown of schools, preparation for nuclear strikes… There should be broadcasting the banning of US foods is for preparation of rationing Russian grains in the event of a high intensity conflict with the closure of all shipping routes
1. Strike Tallin, Riga, Vilnius, Kiev, in decapitation strikes
2. Martial law in newly joined russian lands
3. Suspend trading of the ruble
4. Reprice all goods and services on new exchange rate
5. Devalue Ruble
6. Suspend debts
7. Move the armed forces to the border of the enemy
8. electronic and cyber warfare intensified against aggressor USA
9. Airstrikes on NATO command sites giving coordinates to intermediate range missile sites
10. Iskander strikes on tomahawk installations in poland
11. connect transnistria with novorossiya
12. connect kaliningrad with estonian corridor
13. Take pictures with dead yanks
14. Issue this statement: Any NATO country mobilizing against russia will receive a MIRV to the capital of said country and the power of said country and gas shipping routes will be turned off
15. Watch the world obey power and not meekness
MOBILIZE IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE GOING TO FIGHT HIT FIRST
okay, you either stop this CAPS SHIT or I ban you.
Is it you, Martin from Berlin?
“Sergei Glazyev has called for total mobilization of the economy in preparation for immediate war”
Who is Glazyev? Quote only president Putin, who said that Russia is stronger than any potential aggressor. Shoyu reported that NATO is neutralized.
Go and have some camomile tea to calm down.
Glazyev is most patriotic economist of Russia, of course putin and shoigu said this they want to go back to the way things were, but they have changed everything, how can I be asked to have tea when these events are happening and they are by no means some issue to be forgotten? Our pride and our future is at stake, everyone calls for peace and the other side is belligerent and openly hostile in our faces? They do not use all caps and words like me they have tanks on the border… I do not understand this chill out bro mentality honestly, it makes me paranoid that our people are demobilized and are asking for peace, we started this by putting the foot down, now we want to ease off the pedal because many are realizing how far this will go, but this is what the whole point of the national liberation movement is about, people like vladimir zhirinovsky, nikolai starikov, vladimir pyatkin, sergei glazyev, andrei fursov, all talk about this, so why are we suddenly so for peace and so worried about minsk II? In soviet times there was an entire group of people coordinating the nation and war effort, now we are all tamed by the say so of one person… excuse me for my feeling that this is a desperate situation, this is what is conveyed by the kremlin and then they say calm down — as a people we should be putting pressure on them to be more firm, the other side gets away with bolotnaya, ukraine, iraq, libya, its endless, and people mad at me for being hothead yeah il go drink some chamomile, wont change a thing though
Though I understand your feelings, cool down your emotions because is 100% certain that Putin hasn’t stood idle all these times. As a former KGB officer in DDR and witnessing the whole period between 1990 and 1999 when he came to power, he knows very well what to expect from US and the Zionists. He knows that the Zionism was banned till Gorbatchev came to power. During his latest term in office he strengthened the Russian military on all fields, mobilizing the country for a full scale war-event. When a country is prepared for a large war that means : military readiness, economical readiness, civilian readiness, emergency readiness, reserve readiness, full-mobilization readiness, huge materiel reserve (including medicine, food and shelter). All these are fully operative, just waiting for the command to be fully implemented. You think that the former soviet lessons have been totally thrown out definitively ? not at all. That experience is very valuable and true. The Russian Army is built on the foundations of the Red Army and they are not ashamed of it, even contrary, they are proud of it for good reasons. Sending large Russian forces to the immediate vicinity of Estonia would be a mistake, like that in 1941 June. When the time comes, they will act. Once the war will be inevitable, all cards will be placed on the table. Till then, we are waiting and witnessing the events on the world arena. The hope will surrender the latest.
Why call for war? Dead people? Doesn’t matter which side you’re on, work on peace. Please.
“No Peace”, do you know that American movie where alien says it, forgotten the title.
That’s what they are, and that’s how they think.
Haven’t you notice that Putin tried hard to no avail.
It’s time for a war. At least a high time to be ready to not to repeat cowardly 1941 invasion.
You do not talk about peace with Devil. You get ready to defend and counter attack. Rotten Empire is the Devil, no doubt about it. Peace talk with Devil is well and truly waste of time. I completely agree with Antaz Almey.
16. Deploy Iskander-M to Latakia with a batch of 50kT nuclear warheads, to deter any terror invasion initiated by Arab States from the South, and keep Israel neutral.
I know how you feel. I feel the same way sometimes. I respect Glazyev very much. But I trust Putin and the level-headed guys with him. I see a lot of foolishness in the west and it’s promising. You know when God decides to punish someone He will first deprive them of intelligence. Take it easy a little bit. Can’t live high-strung like that. I too would like nothing better than to die in an honest war for Russia. This war that may be brewing looks honest to me, but there’s still a chance that it may be avoided. If the forces of providence intervene, or of the west collapses under its own foolishness…
“You know when God decides to punish someone He will first deprive them of intelligence”
When Nth and Sth America Indians were slaughtered, None was deprived of intelligence. there are many more examples in our history, the list goes on …
You don’t accept that common sense and reason seem to have left the western powers that be?
Come to think of it, why the Indians? They faught as best they could and they lost, unfortuntely. Think Gorbachev and the surrender of the Soviet Union for an instance of God depriving people of good sense. The proverb doesn’t apply when people fight and lose
Absolutely, this is about power; and from Day One, that is, the day after the election, the Hillary/neocon/neoliberal faction of the US Deep State has been sending that message. I have been saying this from Day One. Flynn should never have been selected in the first place–Flynn is a symbol of the wrong pick for the wrong position. Are there others out there, other than (and I would suggest–better than) Flynn who can provide cogent foreign policy positioning and strategizing AND who already know the cesspool that DC is with its landmines everywhere? The answer to that is a resounding YES! Yes, that faction smells blood, No, they are not going to stop. No one expected this to be easy, but it does not have to be over. The next step is for Trump to go where his current advisors don’t know to tread, because they’ve never governed and don’t even know what those landmines look like. But folks who know governance–and have governed–are less likely to make the small errors that trigger such landmines. I agree with you, that this is also about Trump. He still has significant cards to play. Next move, Mr. President. Let’s see if he can figure it out.
Is that really you?
I could not imagine that there are no high ranking, capable and very intelligent officers in the US military who cannot see the tremendous dangers in provoking a confrontation with Russia, and even so, who cannot understand the historical truth and reality of the Crimea being part of Russia. Are they afraid to stand up together and tell the truth ? Where are those 200 generals ? The lack of knowledge and paranoia seems to paralyze the entire administration.
Are you sure they are not making their point as forcefully as possible ? And that they are being ignored or overridden ?
If so, then we are screwed, and the world along with us. But choosing that course — complete unreality — would be stupid. And while Trump may be many things (mixed bag), his business empire proves that “stupid” is not one of them.
At this stage I really don’t know but I assume they do. The battle has just begun and every day will go deeper and deeper. What comes to the surface are the vapors of the internal fight, like a corpse who has to digest a tougher piece of cake which provokes tremors in the whole body. The man in power is driving so fast and succeeded in turning up-side-down a lot of conceptions, preconceptions, illusions and disillusions just in two months, that we have to be prepared for a conceptual drifting race. As I said, this man is Gemini – a man, a body and two souls. But he needs those generals who stand with their two feet on the ground of reality, regarding Russia at first and other actors who are important for the peace and justice in the world.
Hey Cynthia ! Great to see you here !!
What are some names that would be good for Trump to have beside him ?
I agree with your comment.. astute for sure.
So 14 February 2017 is day democracy officially died, or rather was finally killed, in the US. The US is now in the hands of those who think they can win a nuclear war (courtesy of missile ‘defense’ in Poland and Romania).
No missile defense in Europe can contribute anything to defend the democrat bastions in USA, which will be the first ones to suffer in the nuclear war. Not Europe. Ironic that these democrat bastions are precisely the ones wishing for it. In order to preserve a multi pronged balance of power globally and make the democrat deep state back down, we would need to see China expand its strategic missile forces rapidly, to at least the size in warhead and/or carrier terms to that of 30% of the Russian force, and a joint launch control system established for the common enemy. It would need to be made sure this is PUBLICIZED well internationally.
I believe we are not yet at that point, we need to see a few peripheral showdowns first. The next part of the plot will involve attacking Iran, simultaneously attacking Donbass. Russia and China cannot fight Iran’s fight for it, but it can basically make sure USA/Israeli/Saudi suffers hellish losses by arming them up to the teeth in anti air missiles. It is a cheap insurance in the geopolitical context, Iran must not be allowed to fall, and if it’s unavoidable, make it count well and condemn the crap out of it in UN and declare US publicly a rogue state. The more losses they get, the better the effect will be.
Current posturing in Estonia or Latvia poses little tactical threat for now. It is mainly for PR consumption and screwing around. My basic point is that if you can give Nato a bloody nose anywhere possible (the more covertly the better, before direct wars are declared), no opportunity to do so should be squandered. Yemen would be a current major opportunity and especially them continuously kicking Saudi ass. It is highly likely US destroyers, marines and aircraft will get involved. There are potentially very high losses to be inflicted there as well. Unfortunately it’s logistically quite hard to do so. Arming Iran would be the next best thing for the whole Russia-China-Iran alliance, and if it could be done covertly, all the better, since that is a war US deep state has outlined since Wesley Clark’s manifesto. Do not doubt the deep state, so far they have delivered on their promises. Those future, still unfulfilled promises need to be used to ones advantage, Iran is one of the last major ones!
Did Wesley Clark outline war with Iran? Or did he just reveal what had been planned?
Bannon is next:
This makes me smile — one of the few news items today that does (far too few).
By putting “anti-semitism” on the table (they are unable to NOT do this — they think it is imposing their dominance), the open themselves to an examination of the whole “semitism” meme in the round. (Maybe God does indeed first deprive those he slates for destruction of their sense). The counter-suggestion their “semitic” ploy invites attention to is why a tiny minority should be telling the US what to do and how to do it ? Especially when it is frantically claiming that excluding minorities from participation is evil (!) If this were the case in fact as well as in theory, they would need to ally themselves with other splinter groups (European-style) to even have a presence ay the political table.
They failed to learn from his “Holocaust” Remembrance speech which pointedly excluded them from mention — now, although they used to own it, even this conceptual icon is common property. The narrative around this no longer has them as its focal point. When we are calculating losses and gains, why is this overlooked ?
They also fail to consider his stated intention to, at some point, open the 9-11 event to reappraisal.
Interesting times indeed.
Well, he is better than Hillary, I agree with Saker, and people did the right thing by voting for Trump, it is just, he is not made of right material.
The sooner we get through this neocon nonsense the better. Nobody in US is able to steer that ship into different direction. Machinery is at full speed, and we all know very well where it is heading, but again, anything is possible.
The zionist mainstream media and the Soros fake ‘indy’ media bashes and bashes and bashes with a single voice. They expect their targets to fall or give way. Very few of their targets last too long under such an assault.
On his way to the White House, Trump was targeted ***but*** on the election trail he was always surrounded by partisan friends who could tell him that standing up to the media attacks only made him more electable. After the election, when Trump genuinely offered to act on behalf of almost all Americans, this changed. Trump suddenly became vulnerable to the relentless media attacks- trying to be a Man of ***all*** the people backfired as the demons of the Deep State knew it would.
Experts who run cult brainwashing methods use the self same psychology. Verbal attack, verbal attack, verbal attack- all the time moving the victim into a place where the victim’s implanted new opinions will be praised rather than attacked. A round peg being hammered and hammered until it fits into the square hole.
Trump will be telling himself “I’ll give a little now and move my real agenda to the mid-term”, but this is self deluding since before long he’ll convince himself the demon agenda was what he wanted to do all along. And who doubts that Trump, unlike Obama, is a ***true*** war-time president. Oh, for sure the despicable idiot Obama waged a lot of lesser war in the end- but he was never seen by his people as a ‘warrior’ president. Trump will wear the mantle of the destroyer of Iran with pride.
Yes, Trump isn’t going to war with Russia. Trump is no lesser demon, unlike Hillary Clinton. But Iran, as potentially messy for the Deep State as it is, is a perfect ‘feast’ for someone like Trump who uses the ‘unfinished business’ excuse that did so well in the case of Libya.
Forget Ukraine. Forget Crimea (Trump will gift Ukraine to Russia to ease Russia’s conscience over leaving Iran to its fate). Forget the current NATO build-up on Russia’s borders. Forget N. Korea (always irrelevant cos the true story there is America helping prevent the reunification of Korea to please Japan). Iran is the ***only*** story here. Trump loves Israel. Trump loves Saudi Arabia and the wahhabi gulf states (as do all Trump type US business people). Trump hates Iran. And these facts were true before Trump was got at, remember.
Now Trump and his handlers are looking for an excuse to go to war with Iran. It needs to be 9/11 big, so another false-flag is on the cards. ***Not*** anything to do with Israel – Saudi Arabia cannot afford to be seen in public as pro-Israel. And since the USA and UK have been busy carrying out very public crimes against Humanity in Yemen on behalf of Saudi Arania, a false-flag in Saudi Arabia itself might well be the way they’ll go. Say a false-flag invollving a massive chemical or biological attack blamed on Iran.
With every informed person knowing that ISIS is a Saudi operation, such a false-flag would be taken as real by too many people. It would seem plausible that Iran would want to hit Saudi Arabia hard. And the false flag could well follow a massive Western backed act of terror in Iran so it would seem like simple revenge.
At the mo, Trump is being led by the nose into continuous feelings of impotence over things like the N Korea missile test. Trump rants that N Korea will feel the wrath of the USA, but Trump’s handlers know this is hot air, and Trump will be wound up by this fact. They want Trump at boiling point, with steam coming out of his ears, so they can then tell him that all that pent up frustration can be unleashed at one target- Iran.
In fairness to the Deep State, no-one else powerful bothered to rush up to Trump after his inauguration to grab him by the hand and direct him safely. And this was a dire mistake for Humanity. With Trump, the Deep State discovered they had no effective opposition at all in their rush to co-opt him- and this is our constant problem.
“Iran is the ***only*** story here.”
Russia has no trouble multitasking — domestic and various foreign countries, all in a days work.
North Korea missile in not a real problem. If the empire wanted peace with NK all they have to do is deal honestly, stop attacking, threatening, demonizing, and sanctioning, and live up to the agreements they made — allow NK to be peaceful. About the same with Iran, really, and everybody else. The US needs to stop being lunatics and mind its own business instead of trying to control the world. It’s simple.
Why hasn’t Putin met with Trump yet?
What’s the hold up?
Does Trump not have a secure line to Putin?
Thos who should secure it are the same who eavesdrop and then tell the media…
“no-one else powerful bothered to rush up to Trump after his inauguration to grab him by the hand and direct him safely.”
True, and IMO this is squarely the fault of the Democrats (both the party and rank and file) and all others who swarmed into the streets to vilify Trump qua Trump.
I said it then and will say it again: They should have realized that, liek it or not, Trump was all that stood between them and *real* mess.
Stupid fools preferred to rend their raiments re Trump instead of getting on speaking terms with him, to discuss his cabinet and policy options.
The very best thing Trump could to is to appoint Putin as Chief Advisor and Vice President.
I think that move would be far less popular than one may think in the USA.
And Putin defeated these very same people from the Yeltsin era.
Trotksyite Talmudo-Satanists are all cookie-cutter creatures.
whish you were wrong!!
in december 2013 there were 2000 nazis in kiev… by february 2014 there were 20,000 nazis in kiev…
by may this number has risen to 50,000 along with new army recuits
the summertime passed the number reached 100,000 and told to standdown
they called up everyone who is military age– 200,000 ukrainians
The military equipment has been pulled out of the storage and re-equipped for attack
Kharkov industries are working 100% restoring tanks with those billions that the smart ones here said poroshenko stole
yeah he didnt steal them he rebuilt his whole effing army
aircraft is being brought out of storage in odessa
A powerful military machine is targeting RU, fired up by nazis, and ideologically indocrinated to HATE Russia
The army will be pushed forward and the nazis will block them from retreat
They will resolutely be pushed into Donbass, because of out lack of impetus we could very well lose the donbass and have the ukrainians stopped in ROSTOV, YES I SAID IT, with so many troops concentrated on out border they have the capability to push into rostov after poroshenko gives the okay for TOTAL WAR.
After they will attack Crimea, and with DNR/LPR neutralized we will have a difficult time reinforcing the region. Turkey will launch attacks, armenia will be beseiged by azerbaijan
THIS IS THE COST OF RUSSIAN INACTION
“you were given the choice between war and dishonor, you chose dishonor and now you will have war”
We must take the Libya option on Ukraine, the tanks do not have to roll into Kiev
but Ukraine must be turned into a failed state split apart and we will take what is possible to integrate with new russia
Ukraine is an occupied country of the USA it is not a friendly brother country or this nonsense so many talk about
using the correct frame of reference and wording, we will have clarity over what we should do next, namely launch a cruise missile and aerial bombing campaign of Ukrainian military and industrial infrastructure
We must act now to stop the europeans from being sent into war against us and to stop eurasia from being pulled into this war
Other regions should be encouraged to resist after the humanitarian intervention we launch in Ukraine and they will receive federalized status in Russia
SBU is CIA
Ukraine must be liberated
The kiev regime is not independent and we should not refer to them as so, their handlers are in congress and are barking at trump to enable the war, flynn has been fed to dogs, who is next?
We must find the courage to act immediately and firmly to stop nazism in washington, maybe some meddling to plunge them into a civil war, we should help the liberals in california and the trump supporters covertly, give the Americans a taste of Moscow 1991, have them send in troops to fight in california against their own people
Anyone who calls for moderation is a traitor absolutely and an agent of color revolution, no more mental gymnastics, no more think tanks, no more talks, no more stunts for publicity, WE MUST CHOOSE DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR
Why don’t you try writing in a normal way? yOursTyle mAKesIt adragaND hardTORead
Your points are important, though. Glazyev said most of the same thing a couple years ago. Basically, time is on the Empire’s side in the Ukraine as they can steadily build an army under their direction and have more of the old die off and create the New Ukraine, one whose main job is harming Russia.
Russia’s opponents are not stupid, and they have been quite methodical in the Ukraine over the last 20 years, far more so than has the Kremlin.
Porky is on his last legs and he’ll soon be out of power.
He’s not worth worrying about – and his corrupt regime will topple with him.
The problem is there are many Porkys in Ukraine and also many worse than him. Inaction by Kremlin in regards to Ukraine is becoming more expensive by day.
It was exactly the idea to provoke Russia to intervene militarily. They stopped at nothing to make it happen. The idea was to have Russia intervene and thus openly stand as an aggressor for the whole world to see. The bigger idea was to mobilize the whole world against Russia. The shortlived Ukro junta would have been glorified as a heroic attempt at “freedom,” brutally extinguished by Russia. Foreign goons in Russian uniforms would have perpetrated unimaginable false flag genocidal atrocity everywhere, right before the Russian troops arrived. There would have been nothing but corpses and mass shallow graves along their route. Etc. This was and still is the primary objective: to get Russia to respond militarily somewhere, somehow. Then the western MSM would quickly hype up that response as Russian aggression. Absent Russian response, it has had to be made up, but many remain unconvinced…
@Antaz Almey —
No one doubts your sincerity, but your assessment of the Ukraine’s military capacity borders on hallucination. Reports of its behavior so far show it to be in even worse shape than the US Army was in 1971 (if that is even possible)
It could only reach Rostov if it bought bus tickets.
If the analysis behind these talking points is correct, which i think is most likely, then the US, before the world, is in for a ride. If it is indeed true that this constitutes a faltering leadership, as opposed to a faltering sustaining mass, a lot of domestic friction is to be expected.
Trump’s advertised presidency not only represented the potential of a less aggressive posture outwards, critically it also represented inwards a smoothing factor during the expected policy shifting, by legitimizing within practical bounds critical economic and social requirements. The latter won’t merely succumb as Trump apparently just did.
If prevailing, US neocon deep state, which had already declared war the world and humanity, while so far “merely” alienating a significant part of its own population, will extend the latter as enemies. Their logic is as sound as windshield glass – works for mosquitoes on the highway in good weather.
Thank you Saker.
The woman, Theresa May, known as the Prime Minister of Great Britain – dear God, poor old Britain – sent a war ship to the Black Sea yesterday. As soon as I heard that I knew it was over because she would not have dared unless she felt no fear of annoying Trump.
That seems to have happened BEFORE the announcement about Flynn?
Anyway – I never thought Trump had any independence because his daughter being connected with the Lubavitch. Everything I know about that strange sect or cult told me that Trump is NOT a good strong man.
Poor Trump – just another pathetic puppet and fool. He is not real man, that is for sure – and I never thought he was. I heard someone call him “an alpha male” !!! I even thought – for about five minutes that he might be like a John Wayne All American Tough Guy!
So childishly hopeful or so desperately hopeful.
Saker, would you please tell us what Putin’s relationship with Kissinger is? Seems a bit strange to me.
Kissinger? I should imagine they have these nice long geopolitical chats, and Putin picks his brain on what’s on and what’s next on the US world-destroying agenda, and Kissinger learns about Putin’s ideas on how not to destabilise the world and how to avoid fomenting an apocalyptic war, and Kissinger goes back and tries to cool the hot heads there – while also telling then how to “contain” Russia more efficiently and on the cheap.
Putin doesn’t mind the “containment” efforts: this gives him time to finesse his plans, which are to avert war by “Being Strong”, as he wrote in one of his papers.
But if war should turn out to be unavoidable, then Russia will strike first – and fast. This is also a message Kissinger is sent to hammer into all those warmongering heads.
Very perceptive comments.
Putin has used the armchair generals’ “impatience” time to grow the military and diplomacy strength exponentially.
In the Minsk 2 period he has helped free Iran of sanctions, saved it from worse, armed it with S300s, and uses its airspace and airbase for war in Syria against ISIS and AQ (proxies of the Hegemon).
He has blocked Israel’s air strikes to standoff missile shots into Damascus and Golan.
The air over Syria is controlled by RF like an ADIZ. There will be no ‘no fly zone’ over Syria by the West.
He has acquired Turkey and made Erdogan a dependency on Russian Intel and Military.
He reversed Turkey’s war allied with ISIS to against ISIS.
He negotiated a political and diplomatic component to the Syrian War, keeping the US out of the process.
He has 49-year lease for free on Tartus, expanded for 11 vessels, and has doubled the airbase for free lease at Latakia.
He has a very deep relationship with Egypt, access to naval base at Alexandria and they are working on a use of airbase arrangement.
Egypt and the Tobruk faction in Libya are begging for Russian assistance against ISIS and AQ.
Russia will be a ME regional power with a Mediterranean Fleet, not just visitor vessels from the Black Sea.
Russia’s gas pipeline (SouthStream) is now Turkish Stream. Signed, sealed, delivered.
Russian’s North Steam 2 is a real project.
Russia established leverage over Japan vis a vis the Kurill Islands dispute, while getting Japanese investment in Russian development.
China and Russia are more entwined strategically. The Double Helix is very much a geopolitical reality. The US containment of China is full on and Russia’s navy in the Asian Pacific was demonstrated in the South China Sea. It has access in Singapore and basing in Vietnam.
All this and more has gone on during the time Putin has “bought” by not going to war in Ukraine.
Ergo, he is smarter than the entire army of armchair generals who think Russian blood and flesh is a video game.
Donbass is a victim, but it is not Russia. It is not viable as a standalone entity. But when Ukraine is surrendered by the EU and US as it will years from now, not soon, Novorossiya (including Donbass) will be independent or part of Russia and viable economically.
Many commenters look at Russia’s land mass and think its economy is as large. It isn’t. It’s a small economy. It’s population is small for the land mass. And in comparison to the EU and US (separate or combined) the difference and disadvantage is dramatic. Check GDP comparison.
Putin has been brilliant.
Spicer stating that Crimea is not Russia is laughable. Russia has the largest, best, state-of-the-art nuclear triad force in the world. Picking a militaristic fight is suicide.
So, Spicer might as well have said St. Petersburg is Scandinavia’s and it needs to be returned. Or surrender the parts of the Arctic which the UN agreed is primarily Russian.
We laugh at stupidity. We don’t roll tanks and launch missiles.
If the West insists, it can lose a dozen capitols and all its NATO bases if it wants to try to take it away. And the US will be cratered and radioactive for 400 years, as the “planners” well know.
Laugh. It’s comical and indicative of stupidity, profound stupidity.
An impressive list. I’ve almost always found Putin to be clever, maybe brilliant.
Which raises an interesting question. (Well, interesting to me.) I have NOT been impressed with the Trump Administration’s media strategy. Neither Trump, nor his Administration, seem to have any political judo blackbelts amongst them (ya know, like a Putin). E.g., Trump fired AG Sally Yates, when if had just waited a short while, and commanded her to give a rational explanation, it would have become clearer what Yates was about. (More explanation: https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/5r4ueh/if_i_was_trump_id_give_acting_ag_sally_yates_24/)
The “interesting question” I allude to, is whether or not one of the key things that Trump’s powerful enemies fear is not just ending the drift towards Cold War 2.0, but of the Trump Administration acquiring Putin-like levels of political judo, wrt Trump’s domestic enemies (“Deep State” + Democratic Party).
From this blog, I have learned that Putin-led governments wisely allow hysterical American media claims to get a full airing. This has helped Putin take down unpatriotic oligarchs, 5th column, etc. in the Russian Federation.
It’s really early out of the gate, but current signs point to nothing like this level of political judo competence for the Trump Administration.
Friendly relations with Russia would encourage the Trump Administration LEARNING political judo from the ‘Putin school of judo’.
Now, whether or not this was even a consideration of the anti-Trump part of the Deep State, I think Trump would be well advised to do so, but openly. In fact, “in your face” style. Trump could give a speech, explaining the current Deep State insurrection, Putin’s victories (citing your list, e.g.!)
Yeah, sure, Jake Tapper and Al Franken’s head would explode. Senator Schumer may cry yet more tears – even wetter ones!
To deflect the inevitable charges of “treason”, the Trump Administration would emphasize, ad infinitum, that Russia has “come back from the dead”, so to speak, after the destruction that followed the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and defeated elements of their own Deep State – mafiyah guys, and the like. American citizens who care about defeating corrupt, status quo agencies that are dragging America down should be eager to learn how to fight back, from wherever those lessons CAN be learned.
Trump has promised to “drain the swamp”. The Russkis could help him do that, but unfortunately, Trump’s enemies have gotten into his head, somewhat.
Time for President Alpha Male to go on the offensive. Not against Russia, but against his real enemies.
Don’t trust too much on GDP. It’s more useful to compare GDP-PPP because it eliminates currency differences. Russia has 35-37% bigger GDP-PPP than UK and France and just 7% smaller than that of Germany. But comparing industrial value Russia is actually 20% bigger than Germany (using GDP-PPP).
In same GDP-PPP China is 10% bigger than whole EU (including Brexit UK) and 17% bigger than USA. How about real economy? If we took off virtual economy and compare only real economy China is more than two times bigger than US. Don’t forget China uses 4 times more aluminium than US. Russia also has much bigger real economy than any European nation, even Germany.
There’s another EU study showing also that BRICS controlled 50-65% of world’s 20 and 57 most critical strategic raw materials, while EU got just 3-5% and North America less than 10%.
As you see west is much weaker than our mainstream media and politicians have realized.
Two things: the paradox of Russia’s relationship with Egypt and Israel, Egypt is where Muslim Brotherhood formed and outsourced and morphed into Al-Qaeda>ISIS>Daesh that has now become international. Israel being in the front of the war in the ME with terrorist alliance and plus having many Russian Jews in israel
Putin/Russia Mus be on offense instead of defense (I don’t mean with war). Although it has been successful for Russia, it will drain its energy, resources, money and people. One leverage that Russia has is the support of many nations (even within U.S). Must find a way to put pressure against the globalists and their governments using nations and its people. In reality, no one wants war.
I never thought Trump had any independence because his daughter being connected with the Lubavitch. Everything I know about that strange sect or cult told me that Trump is NOT a good strong man.
Then why not say this bout Putin, who must rule by consensus in RF where finance and much of its industry & commerce is in non-Christian (and anti-Christian) hands ?
Do you think that his personal likes and dislikes dictate his choices, as if he were two years old ?
Sorry we do not accept posts which are in all upper case. If you would like to resubmit in normal presentation I will consider your post again. Mod
Russia beware : I believe its time to clean up the mess that the Atlanticists are spreading in the Banking sector .Its better if the RF simulates a certain ‘distress’ with regards to the sanctions and adopts a policy of ‘internalization ‘ .The Trump admin is close to collapse .
WHAT THE HELL
OK folks, most of u still don’t get it. Trump doesn’t give a damn about “Foreign Policy”. he doesn’t give a damn about Crimea, Iran, NOR China. Trump’s faction of the 1% ONLY cares about preventing the other half of the 1% [bankers] from stealing their wealth, in which they certainly intend to do[bail-ins]. Please ignore u.s. politics when it comes to foreign relations. it doesn’t have the power to change a damn thing in the Middle East, Eurasia, nor the Western pacific. the only thing to do is sit and wait for the big financial/economic collapse which is near, hence Trump’s war with the bankers!
Perhaps you are correct, Saker, but I still don’t really know all what is going on. Fortunately, I don’t expect the call from Putin until the end of the week, or maybe next week, asking what he should do, so I don’t need to decide what is happening right now, and can work through several possibilities and wait for further information. :-D
Maybe this was about Flynn, if he screwed up in some way not generally known (such as leaking something or taking too much initiative).
One might wonder about the timing — what happened yesterday or the day before to precipitate this now, after the goblins have been at him already for so long? Hard to say — correlation does not imply causation.
The internal wars are ongoing, of course, and have been for years, really, with several layers in the different nominal camps which are battling. The bar fight is more than what we see in the main hall, but is in the back room, the basement, and out in the street as well — even in the blogosphere. No well ordered charges or retreats to the tune of a bugle here. You can bet there are fights within the administration as well, and Flynn’s departure might be solely the result of that.
I’d have to check the rules, but it’s possible — maybe Trump wanted Kellog all along, but put Flynn in to pass the confirmation hearings, and now replaced him with Kellog, who I assume will stay there until someone else can be confirmed. If it works that way then Trump might well be sneaky enough to do that. One possible narrative among many.
BTW, I suppose that Flynn had updated access to all the secret stuff by now, so he may be able to do some things he couldn’t before from lack of information. Or maybe he found something which permitted or caused him to leave the position.
All of these things are complicated and immersed in dense fog. I, as I guess many others, have been involved in things — less complex — where even in retrospect, years after, I never did understand quite what happened and why or who did what when. This is like trying to reconstruct a multi-car crack-up without most of the forensic evidence.
One question is ‘what could cause Trump or Flynn to do this’ — not some general pressure, always around, but what specifically, at this time?
Media noise? Hardly! That’s old hat.
Threats or promises by someone with some power of doing something — but what?
Where is the causal event? What kicked it off?
Trump did not fire Flynn in response to pressure from either the Deep State or his political foes. Flynn lost Trump’s trust by not being completely truthful about the infamous call and “other matters” which culminated in Trump firing Flynn.
I read some bloggers who chronicle the doings of the Deep State and are very bullish about Trump taking it on. These knowledgeable sources were very concerned about Flynn’s appointment because of some sketchy things in Flynn’s background and his failure to disclose information to the Trump campaign.
For example, Flynn had entered into a agreement to lobby on behalf of Turkey and the Erdogan government but didn’t volunteer that information.
Btw head of the National Security Council doesn’t have to be confirmed by the Congress.
What we need is a populist uprising. And we need a leader who is more like an American version of Putin than a half-wit like Trump, who is clearly already working to save his own skin and caving in to the globalists rather than standing up for himself and fighting the blatantly false anti-Russian propaganda.
So what we need is a populist leader, a TRUE leader who is both spiritually wise and unyielding to the assaults of the deep state. One who is calculated and strong, like Putin. And one who is capable of bringing the People in behind them, with powerful words and with Heart. One who is capable of harnessing the emotional and spiritual entropy that naturally exists within all humans.
It does not matter if this individual is elected president or not. What matters is that they can LEAD and that they can get a large percentage of the population to rally around them and their cause. To oppose the Deep State and free humanity from oppression.
This is an incredibly difficult task but it absolutely must be done.
We will destroy the deep state, the globalists, the neocons, the Zionists, the Dark Occultists and the Evil Entities behind them pulling the strings.
Do not fear. We will attain victory.
The only one we (US) ever had : https://www.theburningplatform.com/2017/02/12/a-new-jacksonian-era/
But at least the precedent was set.
@Trump now declares that he “expects Russia to return Crimea“.
The Russian answer to this should be: “We already returned Crimea.”
The most important thing here are the lessons Trump learns from this. I can only believe he obviously thought that by sacrificing Flynn they would back off instead they are smelling blood and going in for the kill. He needs to learn for this.
Give no quarter unless it was something you always expected to give in the first.
The game has only just begun and it’s going to be bloody.
The Kucinich interview is very interesting. He’s obviously not the only one who thinks this way and I’m sure this includes many Democrats. Trump needs to start getting groups of thinkers like this together. He can’t do it all on his own. He just can’t.
This might be the explanation in Trump’s behavior. It makes sense. The neocons inside his cabinet are not ready to let Afghanistan go for obvious reasons.
Maybe this is a judo move by Trump?
Obama apologists had the same excuse. “11 dimensional chess”
Maybe Flynn was a long time planted mole whose job it was to sabotage detente on demand.? Yemen and whatever it is that is hidden behind the convenient sanctions figleaf could be signs Flynn’s job was always to gut Trump. The halt in motion towards detente could signify the need for a purge of everythimg Flynn lest some unknown pathogen carried by Flynn go on to infect that hoped for detente or indeed the entire viability of the Trump administration. You think he should have fought for this guy but what if that was the ego bait which would have captured the Donald in an ever deepening scandal.
A link between the senior cybersecurity guys arrested december anyone.?
This thing smells wrong.
As a former intel head he could not not have known about the Logan Act.
The convenient and surprisingly unpunished way Flynn came out with his memo regarding the creation of an islamic caliphate seems to me like the purposeful building of a cover story to position Flynn as the hot pick up for a predestined Trump to find and befriend.
Why was whistleblower Flynn let off the hook when Obama pin cushioned every other leaking mouth on sight.?
This aint a coup. This is a Trump counter coup.
It’s not over until it’s over.
We should wait for a year at least ’til passing judgement on Trump.
Re: the deep state
Trump is an outsider with a semi-hostile GOP to boot.
We knew that there would be a lot of resistance from the alphabet agencies
The process of rooting out hostile elements will be very laborious..most miscreants are well hidden
I wouldn’t give up on Trump anytime soon.
This is so fu**ed. So disappointing.
Oh well, keep fighting the good fight and don’t let us be like this guy in that book:
“He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.”
According to Wayne Madsen, many in the Alt Right movement are blaming Russia for …. the Anti-Trump protests!
First the Democrats and Neolibs blame Russia for promoting Trump.
Now the Alt. Right are blaming Russia for being anti-Trump!
Some Trump supporters are even calling for a “national security investigation” into RT, the Russia satellite news station.
This just goes to show that *no* faction of the American Empire can be trusted–not liberal, not moderate, and not right wingers of any stripe.
A pox on all their houses.
The American Empire is seriously unhinged and increasingly lashes out its “enemies” in fits of crazed delusions.
Trump’s Alt.Right Movement Joins Soros in Russia-Bashing
Somehow it seems like its time to start working on the fallout shelter again.
“Frankly, my heart goes out to all those who sincerely hoped that Trump will be the man to free the US from the Neocons and restore the power of the “basket of deplorables” over the many minorities and special interests”
Well Trump being a semi-godly figure was (and still is) the propaganda of Alex Jones types that Trump is working to save the humanity against the globalist satanist cabal (He said this literally just a few days ago). Apart from many naive Americans and wishful believers, there was many articulate and intelligent articles (one of them was by Pepe Escobar https://sputniknews.com/columnists/201701191049765550-how-trump-presidency-will-play-out/. Also search for W.Engdahl and Andrew Korybko articles) explaining why Trump is no different than Presidents before him. I was highly suspicious of this character when he kept on bashing China during the election non stop and declared Iran the greatest terrorist organization. This was absolutely not making sense while he was pretending to mend the ties with Russia (so long with that rhetoric as well. Today he declared that Crimea must be returned to Ukraine. LOL). Using deductive logic from some articles (as above) and using some common sense of my own, I could just smell that this guy was just a showman of one of the competing Bilderberg clans namely the Rockefeller’s against the Rothschild clan. There are very good articles about the gold vs. petro-dollar wars going on in between those two. Just google it. Ex-Exxon CEO Tillerson’s nomination as SOS tells it all IMO. Just as much as Soros and big-Z are the public faces of Rothschild clan, so is Trump the showman for the Rockefeller. Also think about the auto and manufacturing (Ford, Boeing etc.) being behind Trump and the hot-air, chicken-shit industries (Google, Facebook, Starbucks etc.) being behind the neo-liberals is also a tale tell sign. In their quest to dominate the world and their greed, the elitist are split from the middle folks. One (Rothschild) says that they have to divide and rule by breaking China from Russia while the other (Rockefeller) says that they have to divide and rule by breaking Russia away from China. Simple as that. If you think in this context all pieces fall into place. Regards.
“It is taking place is one faction of the deep state fighting against another faction of the deep state.”
Is there a way to keep them busy fighting each other for several years longer? The world could use a break from them.
The political cards have been played… now events, real or falseflagged, will determine what comes next!!!
Tomorrow is another day. And Trump is unpredictable and has a steep learning curve. The chess match has only just started. Trump will counter attack. It’s in his DNA!
The one bright spot now is that Russia won’t be led down the Yellow Brick Road any longer, holding out hope for better relations with the US. Spicer’s comments today left no doubt what US policy is towards Ukraine/Crimea. Haley’s previous speech at the UNSC was not an aberrant placeholder.
China can breathe a sigh of relief, too, knowing now that any imagined wedge between it and Russia is now out of consideration. As if it ever was, but nice to see nonetheless.
Curious in all this is no word from Trump himself. Trump at a loss for words? Say it ain’t so, Joe!!
Now, back to my default position: “We have met the enemy, and he is us!”.
Ongoing destruction of Trump presidency bad news but does not necessarily mean big war on horizon. US and NATO very unlikely to start a big war that they may lose or only win at a huge cost in blood and treasure. Essential that Russia, China, and Iran retain solidarity and keep expanding their military potential at a fast pace to keep the wolves at bay so to speak.
Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
I think we don’t see all the players yet. Too soon to call the game.. A crisis is coming, it won’t end with this gambit.
Alex Christoforou has a list that when printed might make excellent dartboard material:
These 8 neocons are gearing up to destroy President Trump and “Make America Bomb Again”
Warnng! Graphic images -have bucket in close proximity.
Look at this from August 2016:
The Republican nominee indicated last week that he could recognize the Russian annexation of Crimea, which the United States has condemned. “I’m going to take a look at it,” Trump said on ABC. “But, you know, the people of Crimea, from what I’ve heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were. And you have to look at that, also.” http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/trump-clarifies-crimea-ukraine-226497
So we have Spicer’s version today. There was Porky’s very brief phone call. A meeting with Yulia outside a bathroom and that is all Trump gave Ukraine. Hardly the time of day.
Now we have Spicer saying Crimea should go back.
I’ll wait a bit more for a bit more out of Trump.
What is very clear to me is the detente we hoped for is blocked. Trmp and Putin should have had a scheduled meeting or one very soon if he could do it. That is blocked. Despite invitations to host from Iceland, Finland and Slovenia. The earliest is Putin will be at G20 in July and the two will talk then.
If that is Trump’s schedule, someone has a forty-five at the back of his neck.
He is infiltrated, has leaks, gets bad advice from Jared and Ivanka who are tension-adverse.
Pence is a mole. Preibus is a UniParty globalist who wants Paul Ryan as president.
Bannon wants to be Kissinger.
I have said here and elsewhere that Putin will decide all outcomes. He is deciding Syria. He wrote Minsk 2, he postponed Novorossiya, he took Crimea, he has saved Turkey and Erdogan, he is making deals with Egypt and Libya, he escorted Iran through the sanctions and protected their oil industry in the OPEC negotiations. And he has designed the Russia-China strategic partnership.
The future relationship with Trump if there is one will be Putin’s making. Trump has no cards to play that he wants to play. He can have war in Ukraine and Kiev and NATO will be decimated.
He can hurt Russia in Syria, but Russia has demonstrated that it pays back 5-10 fold.
Trump, absolutely does not want more war. His entire domestic remake of the economy cannot sustain more war. The military is fit only for JSOC action. It cannot fight a land war.
The Trump doctrine was to be Peace Through Strength. The US is 5-7 years from beefing back up its nuclear warheads, outfitting a naval-based missile defense system to protect from North Korea, China and Russia. More ships and planes will take at least that long also.
Russia meanwhile is ready for war. It adds S500 this year. Has tanks coming in the next few years and keeps developing missiles of all sorts and sizes. It will use those 5-7 years of US buildup to continue its advantages.
Putin is in a power position. Trump is in a secondary position. And that’s not accounting for the continuing attacks on his administration and the frustration of his team-buildout and agenda.
He needs Putin. And the neocons won’t let them even meet.
Talking tough on Crimea is like Porky saying he’s going to drive his army to Moscow.
Russia is in the third year of sanctions. Four more years is not going to change anything.
And China is arming up its nuclear triad. In four years, they will be well over 1200 warheads, most very mobile or on subs. They are basically built for a massive second strike. The US will look like the Pacific Ocean lapping up on the Mississippi shores. Not much of the West half of America will be left.
These are nightmares for Trump.
Add Iran and Pakistan to the equation. In 4-5 years, they will be enmeshed with Russia and China in strategic defense. With S400s and S500s protecting their arsenals, the US will still be behind the curve no matter what they build.
Putin has played GO, not chess. And the US has very few stones left on the goban.
The MIC deep state has been in the war business for a long time. Johnson wnated his Great Society, and he ended with Vietnam — and resigning. Trump is no Johnson.
Your statement “The Trump doctrine was to be Peace Through Strength” is interesting. The one thing we can be sure of is that Trump will drastically increase funding for the military and security apparatus. The abbreviation of Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again” is MAGA which in Hebrew means “combat”
With less plunder to split between the elite, we are seeing a conflict between Trump’s “Sparta” Deep State allies and Obama/Hillary/Soros “FIRE” (see Hudson’s articles) Deep State allies. Attempts to accelerate military production and energy exploitation (e.g. fracking) only accelerates disorder and destruction of global systems:
How the Trump regime was manufactured by a war inside the Deep State
A systemic crisis in the global Deep System has driven the violent radicalization of a Deep State faction
I only hope global nuclear war is not in the cards as Hillary seems to be threatening. http://www.unz.com/proberts/has-the-american-establishment-opted-for-thermo-nuclear-war/
Nuclear Winter would be much worse than predicted as sulfate from gypsum in sheet rock would magnify the cooling from smoke injected into the upper atmosphere:
Unfortunately many US military leaders believe the US could win a Nuclear War.
Just out of curiosity, since you see Putin as a dominant figure in world’s politics today, what do you think would happen if he suddenly die? What would happen to Russia? Deep state is not a person, it is a whole machine and one lost bolt does not make any difference in working order of that machine. Bolt is easily replaced. There is probably plan B for Russia if something happen to Putin, but is it going to be the same?
Putin is a special historical and geopolitical force and talent.
Russia has several men who are very gifted. D. Rogozin, S. Shoigu are clearly capable of providing leadership that would continue Putin’s arc.
Maybe, if an event took Putin early, Sergey Ivanov would return. We don’t know what is really the reason he stepped away from power. If his psyche is ready for leadership, he might also be in the mix.
Russia would not stumble with any of these men.
The power structure around Putin is still going to decide. They entrusted Putin and they are still powerful men in the scheme of things. They trust their age group.
Wisdom is imperative and few young men are steeped in wisdom.
Putin has walked Russia back from the dead. You can’t risk its future on the energy of the young.
You must know the next man is fully tested. And he has to have public approval.
Parenthetically to your query on what would happen on Putin’s demise,
are there any real statesmen of like caliber waiting in the wings in the US?
I can’t think of any offhand.
Bad for us if we only have demagogues and quislings in the line-up!
Jim of Olym
Well i donno, seems like a tempest in a swamp… and, a literal tempest on on this page.
The term ‘Deep State’ is as mystifying as: ‘the invisible hand that runs the market’… And there/ upon a silken carpet, a crystal ball did lie, it roll’d from under tree, fresh out of the wrapper… slowly it …brings up ‘invisible boogeymen’ which i nor anyone can see/
If the ball would simply reveal these hidden Giants, we wouldn’t be so bogged down looking for anonymous dragons with shifty eyes…with really bad tempers and manners to match.
The power of euphemisms within the lexicon have swept the narrative, ’cause they’re just so odoriferous ?… like: flatulence for ‘breaking really Bigly wind/ something like an F-5 windbag, to be sure… George Carlin, where are you?
Anyways, for my observations, (no crystal ball up this sleeve/ no raz ma taze) & except for the uhh revolving doors at CFR (Council on Foreign Relations and or Bildrberg/types) the so called wink wink ‘Deep State’ is none other than the US State Dept. Where policy is, subjugating Russia, wherever, however, because they/the ‘Deep State’ need this big of a real boogeyman to generate a large scale nuke/arms buildup. Of course there’s plenty of charitable work the State Dept does (gag) but it doesn’t mask the vitriol and hate found within the Deep, though hardly ensconced, within US State Dept Walls, the ‘Deepies’; where, both Neo-con and Neo-lib awake with similar hatchets for what embodies Russia.
There are those ‘Deepies’ that pine for subjugating Russia, well, they all do but, the ones who do the button pushing know there’s no tomorrow…
I think the Trumpy’s will try to get Europe to fight the Russkies; I think the ‘friends’ of ‘murikkka in Europe will say: No Thanks, then comes the ‘deal breaker’ Call up the Draft… then all bets r r r, now where is that crystal ball?
US Not Coordinating Strikes in Palmyra With Russia Amid Anti-Daesh Advancement
“Daesh recaptured Palmyra last December and the terror group’s gains in the historic city prompted the Syrian army to launch an offensive to retake it. Russia’s General Staff stated on Saturday that the Syrian army has been advancing toward the city.
“The [US] Department of Defense is not coordinating airstrikes with the Russian military in Syria,” Operation Inherent Resolve spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The US-led coalition against Daesh has been carrying out strikes against terrorists’ positions in the city.
On February 10, nine coalition strikes near Palmyra engaged seven Daesh staging areas and destroyed two tactical vehicles, according to the US Central Command. Another strike on February 12 destroyed an anti-air artillery system.”
What the Russians are saying here is there is reason to be wooried the us will do an americanism and attack Syrian forces again.
US admits using toxic depleted uranium against ISIS in Syria
“More than 5,000 rounds of depleted uranium (DU) ammunition were used in two attacks on Islamic State oil tankers in eastern Syria, the US military has confirmed. The US-led coalition previously pledged it would not use the controversial ordnance.”
Anybody surprised at this?
Another “big lie” against Russia from israel’s favourite goy toy to up the zio-gay’s Russophobia campaign:
McCain Calls for ‘Meaningful’ Response to Russia’s Alleged INF Treaty Violations
“The administration of President Donald Trump must immediately respond to Russia’s alleged deployment of nuclear-tipped ground-launched cruise missiles, McCain said in a press release.
The news comes as US media reported that Russia deployed ground-based nuclear cruise missiles in violation of the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.
The Pentagon supported the review of alleged the INF Treaty violations.”
Any bets on whether trump dons the ritual pale blue & white kneepads and repeats this propaganda?
Your last par begs the question: What will that faction of the Deep State that SUPPORTS Trump, do?
If Pizzagate is real, that is almost the only card they could use to prevent a coup. We already had Steve Pieczenik, an obvious deep state agent, saying that before the election.
There are still some loose ends related to Pizzagate, but now that Trump’s AG is confirmed, the lack of news is worrying. He will have to move swiftly and powerfully to clean out this rot.
They are already starting at the periphery.
Supposedly, information on Weiner’s computer enabled them to proceed with this. The questions are, if so, how far up the ladder will they go and, after the FBI having months to study and prepare cases, what’s keeping the Justice Department from moving on indictments ? Supposedly, it was waiting for Sessions’ confirmation as Attorney General. But he’s confirmed as of six days ago.
Popcorn popping in anticipation.
I hate to post another ‘I told you so’ type comment, but I was another anon poster here that often said Trump would be little different than Obama. No surprise at all that this Neocon coup happened. One man can not defeat an entire system. Not even a man as wealthy as Donald Trump. While watching Hillary suffer another crushing defeat is always enjoyable, one must never trust anyone powerful enough to become president of the United States.
PS, I hope that our friends on the so-called “alt-right” will not spend the next 4-8 years making apologist arguments for Trump’s betrayals like the liberal-left did for Obama’s.

If this was just a matter political cronyism displaying, loyalty would be primordial, but to be up against a sprawling digital age bureaucracy maybe another matter. IN all interviews Conway stressed that Trump is loyal, and this was not disloyalty, which is interesting..
This lengthly NYT article from Sunday paints a picture of leaking and resistance going on in the NSC bureaucracy against Trump. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/12/us/politics/national-security-council-turmoil.html

It seems the president has responded :
American proletarian proverb — “When you f*ck with the bull you get the horn.”
Hopefully the first of many similar illustrations of who is boss here (USA).
Many of my fellow hobbits and Old Narnians do not understand that we have lost our gambit with Mr. Trump. We rallied around him because in the current political arena, he was all that we had to stand up against the coming death embodied in Hillary Clinton. He has failed. Unlike some here, I append to him no hidden motives to betray those who supported him. At the end of the day, he simply lacked the courage necessary to see the matter through. Pence, Priebus and Spicer are the anti-Trump players within the White House, and they are the instruments of the neo-cons. I intend to soldier on even in defeat. I will do my part in the tiny niche allotted to me to carry my lantern into the ever-growing darkness.
Courage, sir! ‘Tis always darkest ‘fore the dawn!
I think more will join you than is presently apparent.
Very clearly stated and I absolutely agree. Just saw a clip of Dennis Kucinich on Fox that was broadcast earlier today. Topic = ousting of Flynn. Absolutely clear, direct warning from Kucinich about the intelligence community… over and over again in the course of the short interview. Kucinich clearly sees an extremely dire situation and did his best to blast the warning as loud as he could.
No hay esperanza. (There is no hope any more.MOD )
Deben agregar ésto:http://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/trump-state-department-lgbt-culture-war-mercenaries/
Flynn was dumb, or perhaps naïve in political machinations. Gone due to a telephone link and he is an intelligence operative to boot. Trump needs people with much more street smarts. It is hard to know if Trump is real or a fake, and Saker has called it early (his opinion only). But no one will dispute that Trump is better than Clinton. More heads will roll, many more. But we need to wait a while longer before drinking from the cup of despair.
If people (the masses) don’t wake up and instead keep on listening to mainstream media, there won’t be much for Trump or anyone else to do. If popular support decays due to the constant lies and operations, the coup will succeed sooner or later.
That’s already been proven wrong, Merca. The people were subjected to a barrage of disinformation and ad hominem attacks on Trump before the election. Everything was done that could be done by the media to elect Hillary – it failed! People may be still confused about Russia’s non-involvement, but that doesn’t matter – people are even favorably disposed towards Putin and Russia for the most part. They wanted the detente that Trump promised; they don’t like being spied upon. Nobody wants Pence except the neocons and maybe the defeated Dems because they think they would have more of a chance getting elected next time. Not gonna happen!
Trump has to bypass the media – that’s the message of his tweets, even the crazy ones. Most of the people already know not to trust them, except they’re looking for the inevitable few honest messengers – there’ll be a few, and we’ve all had good training to discern which is what – plenty of practice these last 16 years!
Can you imagine than a three star general, former chief of army intellignece service, former member of the National Security , can himself imagine just one second that somebody could dare declare him of a traitor of USA?
Can you imagine this man acting like a lousy spy, hiding to call a russian official?
What is really amazing, it’s there is noboby, absolutly nobody important in USA who rise strike the desk with fist and shout “it’s enough” “how do you dare smear such a man as General Flynn”.
It’s worst than under Mac Carthy. It seems like under Staline when a revolution heroe could fall in one minute, considerate as paria as soon as a procurater call him “traitor to the people”, and finished with bullet in head or in goulag.
It’s really scarry.
I can’t understand that left activist don’t see that.
They is an another aspect in this case. The people of USA
And, I’ve quickly read what was said in forums at Breitbart or Fox. And if I’ve read lot of things, that’s something was nowhere. Simply don’t exist: revolt.
It seems Saker is still right. American people seems to have no idea of the meaning of what happend.
It was true yesterday, but today, on the forums the wrath is increasing.
“American people seems to have no idea of the meaning of what happened.”
They are preoccupied with iPhones.
I have been a long time reader, not a commenter. I find your pieces insightful and useful. May you and the other writers keep up the good work. Full disclosure, of course I follow many others for perspective and do not always agree with you.
I am compelled to point out a few things for your consideration. As you know this is a war of some sort. Some of the actors are hidden, but some of their public faces are in play.
1) In war battles will be won and lost
2) Not all battles must be won to succeed
3) There will be casualties
Flynn in the first casualty. For reforming the IC it is an important loss, but not catastrophic. I has exposed some plays and players and shown some of the opposition’s hand.
In geopolitical terms, Tillersen is more important. He already won one showdown with the Rockerfellers whilst at Exxon-Mobile.
The Kochs influence cannot be ignored.
The lines are being drawn between corporations representing interests in future-tech, weapons and virtual space and those representing heavy industry, mining and physical real-world products.
The battles lines are being drawn between capitalist interests that profit from war and those that profit from peace.
I know those points don’t say much, but I am sure you will understand what I am getting at. I would be interested hearing more if you consider this as just the first skirmish and casualty, not the end of the war.
I’m not trying to discourage you, but a president who has only Twitter as a means of resistance is a failed president: he does not know how to use his power – i.e., fielding the right people to neutralise attacks and open the way to implementing his promises.
Look at his “CNN-fake-news” crusade and other blanket condemnations of the “dishonest media”: the best would have been to find ways of patronising a rival to CNN, pending the creation of a government channel.
Or take his lumping together all those 3-letter word spy outfits into one anti-Trump camp. Instead of complaining about this lump opposing and sabotaging him, he should have found someone, or better still, a team, to apply the famous divide and rule technique. His speech to the CIA was absolutely the wrong tone: instead of flattering them with his thousand per cent support as if begging them to like him, he should have been either scolded them (and there were good reasons to do so) and ordered them to remember who they were sworn to serve and how, or else made the standard address expected in those sorts of meeting.
AS it was, all he achieved was to make them despise him as a spineless, wishy-washy president who no one need fear.
In any case, no one respects a leader who is both verbose and whiny – least of all in times of crisis.
RMM, this is very well said. Trump’s battle plan, as he stated openly, was to use Facebook and Twitter to delegitimize the corporate media entirely. He was remarkably good at this so he continues to stick to that plan, but he can only ever be partway successful. And that partial failure is incredibly valuable to the deep state: as long as the media is somewhat trustworthy, they can use that to manufacture ridiculous stories about a Trump-Putin connection which make any real reconciliation with Russia too dangerous to attempt.
This is not about any backroom dealing. It’s all about likelihood: if Trump were to normalize relations with Russia today, would he be impeached? Would Americans in positions of power accept that impeachment as legitimate? The media gained control over that discourse.
I just came from a dinner with a bunch of fairly intelligent Americans and they all believe the “Putin puppet” story entirely. These are young men who work for Apple, Google, and other multinational tech corporations (I heard many interesting stories for them that make me think the Silicon Valley bubble is starting to burst, but that’s for another day). They are smart enough to question the media, but after hearing about this Russian plot every day for weeks on end, for whatever reason they started to consider it feasible. All it takes is enough people buying into the propaganda, to make Flynn’s entirely reasonable contact to Russia appear treasonous to part of the Congress.
Trump really can’t do much about this. Check out his tweets from today:
“This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton’s losing campaign.”
“The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by “intelligence” like candy. Very un-American!”
He’s right, but he’s needled the press so long that at this point he’s only repeating himself and preaching to the choir. A large part of America has been brainwashed against him, and that includes enough of those in power that collaboration with the Empire becomes necessary.
You miss my point. The young men from Apple/Google represent one side of the capitalist war. Tillersen and the Kochs are some on the other side. The virtual side control the media, but this brain washing will not work on those, for want of a better term, that are red pilled post 911 etc. Trump preaching to the converted is all that is necessary, so they hold the line. It keeps him in the positive stead with the majority of the armed populace, militia if you will, and the 60% of armed forces personnel that voted for him. If a coup is attempted, the counter coup will currently have the upper hand.
The IC(intel community) in the US are no longer good at actual intel work, they are significantly less geopolitically competent in recent times.
This is a battle within capitalism for control of the future. The biggest players are not the IC, though they are powerful and controlled by the powers behind one side of this conflict. It is important to realise that geopolitically the weight of the most significant members of the oil industry support Trump. The Russians and Chinese have an interest in ensuring Trump can settle the conflicts in Syria and Ukraine. This is a significant amount of influence that can help him.
The internal politics in the US, though dangerous, can be overshadowed and rendered peripheral to significant bilateral international relationships and deals. If Trump moves the US to join the AIIB and join the new silk road project, then the wars in Ukraine and Syria will cease.
The power and money behind Trump is routed in real-world, old fashioned production and commerce, defined by geography of occurrence and have a stronger relevance in real geopolitics. They thrive in peace times.
The opposition is media, virtual products, entertainment, nice but border less, naturally falling into a globalist category. But that makes them replaceable, they are not bound by geography and as such have less real geopolitical significance.
This War is not about Trump. Trump is the juggernaut, the tank, whose role is to take the beating and flak, while supported and repaired by the support behind him.
Flynn is only a casualty. If the administration somehow hemorrhages casualties then there will be a problem, but there is a very significant power-base of mutually interested parties that will want to see aspects of what he represents succeed.
This loss will galvanise support he already had. Ignore all that is being said in the media, because even if you are skeptical it’s shear wrongness will still have an psychological effect, and it will achieve what propaganda is designed to do. Demoralise the enemy and his supporters and demonise him to reinforce my friends.
Yes, Trump was a wimp for both sacking Flynn and for changing his stance on rapprochement with Russia and finding a realistic peaceful solution to the Crimea and Donbass crises. He should have i) refused to accept Flynn’s resignation and ii) lambasted the intelligence agencies for spying on his nominated cabinet member while he was president-elect. But that is putting the cart before the horse as the very legitimacy of domestic spying should be questioned in this country.
How is it acceptable that the NSA electronically spies on all Americans, Patriot Act or not? Such a law is unconstitutional under the Bill of Rights. But the issue escalates from there.
How is it acceptable that an intelligence agency spies on the phone conversations of a US presidential candidate? ( http://russia-insider.com/en/confirmed-anonymous-intelligence-officials-trump-used-top-secret-kgb-telephone-technology-speak )
How is it acceptable that an intelligence agency spies on the phone conversations of designated cabinet appointees by the president-elect? ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j_ZfKmcnSk )
How do we know that American intelligence agencies are not presently spying on the communications of the sitting president and his cabinet members?
This ability to spy with impunity upon our elected officials gives these spooks the power to discredit them, promote their impeachment and foment a coup against them. Where do they get such absolute power in the constitution?
I would remind everyone that these hired spooks are supposed to work at the pleasure of the president, not the other way around. This would not be tolerated if the spooks and the media were not working hand-in-glove to subvert our constitution.
A sitting president (Nixon) was driven from office for spying on the opposition, now we have the opposition manipulating intelligence agencies and the media to undercut the elected president with an object to drive him from office.
Seems to me that, since the days of Watergate, the United States and the Soviet Union have switched roles in the struggle between good and evil in this world. Now the Dems might as well take up the chant: All we are saying is give war a chance. Only Hillary and the Dems could make Donald Trump look like a paragon of virtue by comparison.
Some of the deplorables are getting it. Early this morning I tuned in on a radio station that serves truckers in the United States, and the news item comment on the Flynn incident was that the real issue was that a rogue element of the intelligence community was spying on and leaking info damaging to the White House. Truckers are perhaps the quintessential Trump civilian troop, with a visceral attachment to and knowledge of the state of the roads of the USA, common wage concerns, health concerns, border concerns, fuel cost concerns, blue collar concerns, and lots of time to flip the radio dials, trucking restaurant conversations, etc.
There are still a lot of more or less salt of the earth American people out there, doing grunt jobs, who voted for Trump overwhelmingly. They saw and liked an American nationalist populist who at least talked about jobs and fixing a broken America. That idea is still in play.
I know you probably won’t see this, but your reaction has convinced me that you’re connected to the Russian government at some level. Your knee jerk reaction is dead on. But only someone who was deeply in tune with the situation or paid would know this. You have a family and I’m calling bullshit you have the time to be this deeply involved on your own. Saker, you’re smart, informed, and holistically unique in the whole continuum of alt-analysis (read: real analysis). Something doesn’t add up and I can’t figure it out.
I wish I was a paid Putin agent. I really would. In fact, I am still willing. If anybody in the Russian government decided to pay me, I would gratefully accept! Alas, I am not. So I barely make ends meet and I have to post requests for support and donations. Do you really think that if I was a “paid Putin agent” I would have to post an appeal to get a volunteer administrative assistant like the one I posted today?
As for not having a family, I do. A wife and three teenage kids. And yes, I often wonder who I find the time to do what I do. Guess what? I even suffer from chronic fatigue, LOL! True, I promise. And the only explanation I have for my ability to write this blog is God’s kind mercy. That, and the immense patience and support of my family, of course.
So what you are missing is probably this: “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God” :-)
Every breath we take is a miracle, and this is why every breath glorifies God.
Look around you, Nils, the world is full of miracles. The world IS a miracle.
Saker, I don’t mean to undermine you with my always too positive comments – I was really inspired by the epistle reading for the feast today – how bravely Paul takes his heritage (he who persecuted Christians!) and makes a positive and brilliant connection between the psalm and Abraham’s giving of tithes -in a letter to his own people! It just takes my breath away. (And probably it is of the moment that it does that.)
For others, this is Hebrews 7: 7-17
Happy feast to you! Thank you for all you do!
Most important post on the whole thread, even the article itself. I remind myself from time to time, no worries, the battle has already been won. So easy to forget that. God bless you and your family, thanks for all your effort and insight.
I’m sorry to hear that you suffer from chronic fatigue. You should immediately check out the protocol at Life Extension foundation for chronic fatigue syndrome. I would especially recommend ubiquinol. In my experience, that ALONE will start noticeably helping literally within days. I also especially recommend L-carnitine. Jarrow sells a liquid form, that is free from both sodium benzoate and potassium, bonzoate.
Though I think it takes much longer to notice any results from it, nowadays you can even increase the amount of mitochondria that you have. (Ubiquinol can be thought of as increasing the efficiency of mitochondria, the cells’ ‘energy factories’.) I’m talking about PQQ, which has only been available a few short years.
Here is the link to the protocol. http://www.lifeextension.com/Protocols/Immune-Connective-Joint/Chronic-Fatigue/Page-les The next page has scientific references. The first page has an overview.
As for diet, please google Dr. Stephen Gundry. Some of his theory may be questionable, but his clinical results, employing lectin-avoidance + polyphenol supplementation, are phenomenal, with respect to heart disease. I’m referring to a study of 978 Gundry patients who had had coronary artery disease, that found less than 1% recurrence of Cardio Vascular events over 12 years, while non-Gundry patients who received standard protocols consisting of low fat/low cholesterol diet program, exercise, and lipid lowering agents suffered 30-40% new cardiac event.

OK Saker, we got it, about the domino, spine, symbol and all.
But let me try to restore a bit of hope here; What if Flynn only made a mistake that could weaken Trump’s administration in his fight against the deep state?
He phoned the russian ambassador ( mistake 1) , then he talked about the sanctions (mistake 2), was probed by the FBI and might not have told the truth (that the sanctions issue was mentioned in his conversation, mistake 3), and obviously didn’t imagine that his conversation could be taped (enormous mistake 4), making his lie to the FBI (not to Pence) a federal crime.
If this is what happened, that’s a lot of mistakes for a first NSC advisor, and maybe Trump could find himself a better foot soldier against the deep state that this “symbol”. We all know how Trump’s “you’re fired” policy works, right ?
Let’s not give up on Trump, yet…
Ok, Flynn is what he is, the most important man in Trump government squad.
But, i am sure that the story is that we have known.
Trump won the election against Hillary Clinton, who was supported by Democratic Party, Republican Party, most of media corporation, most of Hollywood Stars, foreign governments such as Saudi (who spent a lot of money for her campaign), CIA, deep state and she also had friends who are use to satanic practices.
But Trump won.
This mean that Trump is very cleaver but, above all, this mean that behind Trump there are forces and powers that have the possibilities to combat against so mighty powers, such as ones who supported Hillary.
In fact, octobre surprise has happened in order to destroy the Clinton’s chances to victory (wikileaks).
Obviously, i don’t believe in Russian hackers. This mean that someone, in the deep state, helped Trump’s victory, thanks to release of wikileaks.
Now, i can’t believe that such men, Trump and Flynn, could have done such mistakes. It’s not normal. When you have done what you have done, by beating Hillary, you can’t be so irresponsible to make such mistakes, like you was an amateur.
So, i think that the Flynn resign was a strategical move.
Clearly, i am not sure, but i continue thinking that this can be a strategy.
Trump started to cave in long before ousting Flynn.
– No mention of investigating Clinton anymore
– N. Halley’s comments at the UNSC,
– Pompeo handing over medals to Saudi Arabia
– Trump wanting to be a close and best president for Israel (receiving Bibi today)
– Talks of Safe Zones in Syria and full support for Saudi-Arabia in Yemen
The list goes on and on….
Now of course, I hoped for the sake of hoping as well and I think so did most and I get the Saker’s disappointment. Because really firing Flynn is not going to help global peace. I do feel that US enmity was either going to be directed towards Russia (Neo-Con, Clinton camp that just scored a victory) or towards Iran/China (Flynn, Kissinger and the other camp of the deep state). A really all out peaceful presidency was wishful thinking.
If Trump really breaks all his foreign policy campaign promises and goes after Russia he will only further the spiral of Eurasian integration, which will accelerate the demise of US power in the world. My only fear is that he’ll let the deep state completely take over foreign policy and the result would be a Bush presidency 2.0. This would have terrible consequences for world peace as we are now in 2017 and no longer in 2001 and America’s ability to project power are rapidly dwindling yet the neo-con camp is as manic as ever before.
Let us hope for some reason and sanity in these dangerous times but fear the worst.
You’re all wrong here.
The issue is a different one.
Remember, if this had not been leaked, if this was a report that went directly to the president then he could have asked for his resignation because his ego or Pences ego was hurt.
What actually happened, most likely, is that Flynn offered his resignation to protect the president from criticism that he indeed had colluded with the Russian ambassador before he was elected.
You see, had Flynn admitted that he had told the President about these conversations then Trumps career would be over.
Remember, 5th dimensional chess ;-)
“We don’t return our territories. Crimea is a territory of the Russian Federation,” Zakharova said at a weekly news briefing on current foreign policy issues.
Our land, if they invade I go there and fight on, and if i die there’s no better honor than be buried close to Sevastopol’ heroes.
I just wonder why so many people were still foolishly thinking that corrupted system can repair itself. You should know better. You just can’t repair it with voting or “progress”. That system must be wiped out. The best way in case of US Empire is to strangle it with economic deep depression. Let it be that way. Let the cash flow dries up. Let them suffer. Let it be terrible. Let it evolve real grass root long period revolution. Tear the roots off.
Alternatively you can proceed against those who are subverting the elected government with the few good people you have managed to enlist in the cause. It only takes a few in the right places – it only took a few for Watergate. One judge to begin with, a smattering of senators, then – snowball!
That proceeding begun, the people will rally, so long as the cause is just. Nobody’s going to rally around the neocons except other neocons. And they are in the minority. And their cause is not just. (Not to mention they are liars, torturers and spies).
@ Darwin 26
“…seems like a tempest in a swamp…”
I have to wonder why the Сокол is in such a lather… heck the opening bell has just sounded…and now when the opponent lands a first punch the Trumpion is already down for the count…
Really bizarre…I guess no one remembers rope-a-dope…The Rumble in the Jungle…
“…In competitive situations other than boxing, rope-a-dope is used to describe strategies in which one contender lets the opponent fatigue himself by drawing non-injuring offensive actions. This then gives the contender an advantage towards the end of the competition or before, as the opponent becomes tired, allowing the contender to execute devastating offensive maneuvers and thereby winning…” [Wikipedia]
Look Trump may be a lot of things but he’s got a good pair from where I’m sitting…so I seriously doubt he’s going to slink away from a fight like a scared schoolgirl…
He’s also smart enough to realize that he needs to figure out how to win this battle…and it is a battle…it has been for every president…or every ruler throughout history…or we would not have the word ‘usurp’ in our lexicon…
He knows a lot of people consider him a moron…which is always an advantage…
But the fact of the matter is that we have no way of really knowing anything about the actual order of battle…ie the ‘command structure, strength, disposition of personnel, and equipment of units and formations’ etc of the opposing sides…
Listen carefully to what Kucinich says…we have a situation where some elements in the intelligence apparatus are trying to “upend” the president…
That is all we can know from where we sit…there’s no point in wild phantasms about the “deep state”…or Rockefellers vs Rothschilds…that’s just Alice in Wonderland territory…
Now a lot has been thrown in here geopolitically that deserves consideration…especially the Ukraine question…some good points have been made…namely that Russia has been asleep at the switch for the last couple decades while the NWO gremlins have been toiling 24/7…
So do we push the button and go ballistic…?
Let’s take a deep breath and step back for a minute…the tectonic plates of geopolitics move slowly…even as events on the ground may seem like a blur… the view from 50,000 feet is much different…
There’s not going to be any invasion of Russia because that would mean suicide…
And I also seriously doubt that Putin is such a pussy that he was somehow “hoping” that the new POTUS would be a nice guy towards his country for a change…Trump doesn’t change anything…neither would have Hillary…except maybe to make a dumb, costly mistake…
Best comment here was about “returning” Crimea…which…obviously…has already been returned…
That is not to say that Russia will not at some future point in time be vastly weakened…chiseled away with a million tiny blows…until she is no longer capable of defending herself…
That remains a real possibility…but it’s a long game…a very long game…the grownup thinkers on both [opposing] sides understand this and they mostly keep quiet…
Now one doesn’t need to invent fantasies to try to deduce where Russia’s weaknesses are…one needs only listen carefully to what its enemies are saying…
What was it that Obama said about Russia just days ago…that Russia is a weak country that makes stuff nobody wants to buy…
Or even better…George Friedman…the neocon founder of Stratfor…the shadow CIA…now turned online publisher [what else]…
“…Russia is an enormously weak country that Putin is working desperately to make appear far more powerful than it is. He is doing extremely well at creating that illusion….”
“The Myth of Putin”
Of course it is easy to dismiss this as wishful dreaming of a return to glory of the Khazar Khaganate…an enormous Jewish Empire of Turkic peoples that was literally wiped off the map by Sviatoslav I Igorevich…grand prince of Keivan Rus in the tenth century…[with the blessing of Byzantium…ie Roman Empire as it was still called then…]
But old habits die hard…what’s a millennium…?…Friedman wrote a book called “The Next 100 years…”
Today every Khazar dip in Hollywood whose parents emigrated from the Soviet Union spits venomous garbage about escaping “Anti-Semitism…”
And for each one of them there are ten who remained in Russia and are now noted scientists…CEOs of big companies…chief designers at aircraft companies…etc…
But that’s the way humans work…and speaking of Turkic peoples…let’s not forget that they once commanded the vast Eurasian heartland…look at maps from 1000 years ago or more…the Cumans…Avars…Bulgars…Pechenegs…Huns…
Today their descendants are still there in large part…as well as Asia minor which they wrested from the Byzantines only more recently…
The Crimean Khanate is still beating in the hearts of many would-be Erdogans…and will be for another thousand years…
Then we have the Arabs…were they just goat-herders for last 5,000 years…look at the maps of the Umayyad Caliphate…the Turko-Jewish Khazars were actually a buffer between the Mighty Caliphate and the Byzantine Empire…but not before the Caliphate devoured Imperial Persia…and turned the Zoroastrians into followers of Muhammad…by blade of the sword…as in most religious conversions…
Any relation to today’s disposition between Iran and KSA…?
See what I mean about tectonic plates…
And I haven’t even mentioned the thousand-year existential struggle for dominance of the European heartland between the Slavic and the Germanic tribes…
So the frontiers have now settled somewhat into what they are now although the antagonists have not changed…
And that brings us to the discussion of power…what is really behind political power…?…it’s the same as it always was…military might…
In real terms that means the ability to muster armies…the money to pay them [and mercenaries]…which means commanding resources…geography and natural wealth…
But vitally important is the technology of warfare…the survival of the Eastern Roman [Byzantine] Empire against massive Arab conquests was due in no small part to a technology called Greek Fire…invented in the 7’th century AD…and successfully guarded as a state secret for centuries…
Even Sviatoslav’s numerically superior navy was torched when his ambitions got too big and he decided to take on the Big Dog of the day…
Nearly a thousand years later the European warfare technology of guns versus aboriginal spears and arrows made the conquest of The New World possible…
Today’s Greek fire is the ICBM…simple as that…
But it’s not so simple…because behind the ICBM and all the other necessary warfare technology…jets…satellites…missiles…radars…submarines…etc…there must be a huge and powerful Scientific and Industrial Infrastructure…
So right now the Friedman Khazars can dream of restoring their Khaganate…but even they realize that it might take 100 years…if everything goes to plan…
And what is that plan…?…well it means keeping that massive industry going and having armies of engineers and scientists all working hard on making all that warfare technology better…
There will be no huge breakthroughs…in fact even nuclear power and the jet age have not changed the basic formula…astute historians know that the Red Army’s victory over Nazi Germany was decided by the sheer industrial output of the Soviet Union which the Germans could never hope to match…
And this is where we come back to Trump…
Someone mentioned here the hot-air industries like google and facebook etc…vs the real industries of Boeing and Ford…
Very true…despite what the “create-your-own reality” hipsters in Silicon Valley would have the world believe…every banger in Compton knows that he can kick your ass and take your gas if you’re only packing an iPhone…
Yeah…it seems the Wall Street gang and google hipsters were too clever by half…with America stripped of its industrial base…who’s going to build their guns and tanks…?…the Chinese…?
Now reality is setting in…America is in trouble folks…it’s not just Russia that’s on the ropes…[like the Khazar info-warriors would have the world believe]…
Jeff Bezos…now owner of CIA mouthpiece WaPo has a solution…he’s going to build giant airships [blimps] that will hover over every city and instantly deliver your every Amazon wish by way of thousands of little drones buzzing to and fro…
Elon Musk is going to build colonies on Mars…where everyone will be driving a Tesla no doubt…
Meanwhile…California and most of the rest of the former Mexico called the US Southwest is pretty much majority Hispanic already…
The inner cities are pretty much no-go zones for whitey…
Folks…is it any wonder where the theater of the absurd we are seeing now in Washington is coming from…
This is a “civilization” that is in deep crisis…fake news…fake reality…even the President is hanging on for dear life…as all manner of spooks and goblins start running around like headless chickens…
But again…we go back to the 50,000 ft. view…the tectonic plates…there has to be a foundation…piracy on a global scale worked great for 500 years…just like the Greek Fire…but eventually it gets washed away in the slow creep of history…
Another Rome bites the dust…?
Or is Trump really The Savior…?
Only time will tell…
Russia is in a similar [but different] boat…
[There is no use talking here about any other “powers” because these are the only two that are capable of knocking each other out…]
We go back to what a country needs to be “strong…”
You need people obviously…who are healthy and productive and make good stuff that people do want to buy…this criticism from the floundering Byzantium and their Khazar mouthpieces is in fact very true…
Just like Trump cannot build tanks and guns without factories making steel…so Putin cannot build any weapons either without an industrial base that also provides a decent living for the people…
A vast land and rich resources are not enough…you need happy, satisfied and educated people…you need a vast network of higher learning…to produce the engineers and scientists who are going to build those products for the people…as well as the products for the armament needs…
In this respect Russia is clearly working slowly but methodically to get its house in order…
We should remember that the US and the West is NOT without industry either…they have managed to get a virtual lock on the global civil aviation industry…making most of the world’s jets…and also running the airlines too…this in fact is the only thing keeping them in the game…
And this is the same area where Russia has been falling behind for decades…even during Soviet times there was not enough emphasis placed on this vital industry…
Vital because it is a dual-use industry…the megafactories making civilian planes can quickly be retooled for making war machines [of all types…not just planes]…the skilled engineers and machinists and mechanics all through the massive supply chain of the aerospace industry…are likewise going to be the front-line industrial “soldiers” of the next great war…
The good news is that Russia’s MIC…under the capable stewardship of Dimitry Rogozin…is moving ahead in the direction of rebuilding the civil aviation sector in a serious way…this is a must for the long-term security of the country…
One big plus for Russia is in education and health care…you cannot have an industry without well-educated specialists in every conceivable field…at the same time providing for the people’s basic needs of health care is just as important…
These are two big holes in the US system that do not look like they are in any way going to be fixed…higher education has become so costly that it may soon be unattainable for many…health care is already a huge problem…parasite insurance company middlemen make US healthcare the most expensive per capita in the world…while literally millions have little or no access to even basic care…
So that’s how the chessboard looks at this time…Russia is in the ascendancy…building slowly but surely…
Putin is surely not in complete control of Russia’s power levers either…there are certainly similar turf wars going on around him…but the situation is not nearly as chaotic as that in the US halls of power…
And that’s what it is folks…it is CHAOS time on the Potomac…as ye sow…so shall ye reap…
You make many very astute points.
About American higher education, most of it is ruined by Liberal Arts and Liberalism as cult belief training. It has turned most graduates into bed-wetters, crybabies and irrational dependents with no knowledge, few skills and the inability to act without enormous support from parents and government.
Most American innovation is in software apps.
Few new durable goods are produced.
Biotechnology is the one sphere of American innovation. But it is populated by Chinese students doing the research. China also has a huge biomedical and nanotechnology base. If the politics between US and China changes, those Chinese students will go home. Reverse brain drain.
The rest of America’s vaunted higher education is really American aggressiveness. Chinese raise compliant students. They are taught by rote and by social stability to resist independent thought.
The students returning to China from the States have learned to think outside the box, to try and fail and try again. These qualities used to be the American standard. They no longer are because Liberalism is a Cult and cults abhor independent, critical thinking. Most American corporations have also tamped down individual thought. Groups, social thinking, belonging to the village has warped the energy and progress of America. Higher education will take decades to rid itself of this milieu and all the practitioners (administrators and professors).
Meanwhile, China and Russia will be growing without illusion of exceptionalism. They know who their existential enemy is (the Hegemon). They are on a psychological war footing.
Americans begin as #1 in their own mind, regardless of the facts. Delusion is why America now finds itself in deep trouble. That won’t change any too soon. Shouting USA, USA, USA feels good, but in the morning you are still looking at Satan II ICBMs and Putin is at the helm, Lavrov has dropped the hammer diplomatically, Maria Zakharova has chastised your spokespersons, and fear of Russia is greater than ever.
Americans are facing a chronic disease: cognitive dissonance. Russians are buzzing their best warships and their only way of stopping it is WW3, which ends the planet. Spending more money and hoping to outbuild the Russians and Chinese or outthink them is a game they cannot win.
The US needs a foreign policy change more than anything else.
It needs to put the Hegemon into history.
It needs to sit, talk, listen, and cooperate with the multi-polar players.
Trump has that ability and intention.
The destruction of Flynn hurts that effort. He was ballast to modulate Mattis. He was also going to uproot whole sectors of the Deep State.
Trump intends to pursue his mission. I don’t see how he can do it in meaningful manner without arranging a detente with Russia. If his next NSC advisor is aligned with his goals, he might find a path. But it won’t be soon. And it won’t be before Putin is elected President again.
It will be seen in the Pentagon plan to be delivered by March 1. I assume Mattis will want many more US boots on the ground. And he will want heavy weapons given to Syrian Kurds. That will ratchet up Turkey against the Kurds more than ever. Trump will not like that outcome.
The US simply does not understand the lay of the land. The geopolitical shape of things is beyond their understanding at present.
Like the Liberal cult ruining education, American self-delusion is their national foreign policy. Where their hegemony meets resistance, they just drop more bombs and arm more proxies or pay for more mercs. Their theory is they will remain dominant. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Syria disprove the theory. Ukraine works better for them, but Donbass is forever. And they apparently realize Crimea is now Russia again, so the net loss is like all the rest of their battlezones—failures.
“Maddog” is so appropriate as their new lead dog. He knows only one way, and it always loses in the end. His greatest achievement was Fallujah 2. When your great victory is immediately lost, you haven’t won. He has gone around the world and announced the US is everywhere and ready to fight everyone. Then Iran fired its ballistic missiles, North Korea saluted him with their ballistic missile and Putin fired his intermediate cruise missile. Quite an array of stunning replies.
Cognitive dissonance is the diagnosis.
Re: “The destruction of Flynn hurts that effort. He was ballast to modulate Mattis. He was also going to uproot whole sectors of the Deep State.
Trump intends to pursue his mission. I don’t see how he can do it in meaningful manner without arranging a detente with Russia. If his next NSC advisor is aligned with his goals, he might find a path.”
Flynn never would been able to take on the embedded moles of the CIA: too many have survived within the agencies for decades, outlasting the appointees, whatever remaining institutional memory no longer registering the presence of CIA infestation. See Prouty’s: The Secret Team: The CIA and Its Allies in Control of the United States and the World. Uprooting the Deep State means taking on the global mafias of pharma, illegal drugs, arms trafficking, media, sex/body parts trafficking, banking money-launderers, the military-industrial-congressional complex, oligarchical foundations and think tanks, etc., etc., etc..
Flynn was easy pickins for that lot. He’s barely articulate on what he “knows.” Read this transcript and cringe: Transcript: Michael Flynn on ISIL (the full transcript of our discussion about the rise of ISIL, the War on Terror, torture and how to deal with Iran)

Potentially, Sessions as Attorney General becomes a key player. In effect he is Trump’s lawyer with the authority to command the US Justice Department. But he arrives without an entourage to staff the key roles under him, i.e., lawyers on a massive payroll that can besiege and overwhelm the resources of any opponent. If Sessions is up to it, or immediately hires assistants who are, he can attack Trump’s opponents, indict key people and swamp the press with allegations that can capture the headlines. Bannon knows how to game this.
The bigger issue is that Trump et al amount to just another cabal playing “capture the flag” within a system consuming its seed corn. See How the Trump regime was manufactured by a war inside the Deep State: A systemic crisis in the global Deep System has driven the violent radicalization of a Deep State faction
. . .
President Donald Trump is not fighting a war on the establishment: he’s fighting a war to protect the establishment from itself, and the rest of us.
In reality, Trump has ushered in something far more dangerous:
The Trump regime is not operating outside the Deep State, but mobilizing elements within it to dominate and strengthen it for a new mission.
The Trump regime is not acting to overturn the establishment, but to consolidate it against a perceived crisis of a wider transnational Deep System.
The Trump regime is not a conservative insurgency against the liberal establishment, but an act of ideologically constructing the current crisis as a conservative-liberal battleground, led by a particularly radicalized white nationalist faction of a global elite.
Time is on the side of not only Russia and China, but the dispossessed everywhere as well. Time spent avoiding war and building resilience may just permit us to emerge from this era reasonably sane and capable enough of getting along with one another to allow the natural emergence of “our better angels.”
As a Progressive, there is much in your post I agree with.
Compared with centrist DNC-Democrats, you are a veritable font of wisdom!
Many Progressives are at odds with the DNC folks.
Check out Progressive Jimmy Dore on youtube for a clear sense of the ongoing feud between “Bernie” Progressives and DNC-types.
“but not before the Caliphate devoured Imperial Persia…and turned the Zoroastrians into followers of Muhammad…by blade of the sword…as in most religious conversions…” here is what I have trouble with, the Middle East, which was once vibrant, diverse with multi cultures and faiths, rich civilization and history was destroyed by Islam followers, never to regain what was once in the region. Everything became memory. Submissive, non creative, opressed society were created under strict Islamic leaders that pulled the region backward. The minorities left out have been discriminated, forcibly converted, and heavy tax was /is imposed against them, not to mention the swords.
In addition to Western hegemony, let us not forget Islam being used for hegemony all over ME and other nations. Not innocent at all. Today, Wahabbism is being used to increase Muslim population all over the world.
Trump might be terrified. I still think they (the deep state) are going after him to replace him (impeachment? whatever excuse). In spite of giving up on of his close collaborators.
