Bad news all around today. The US has just slammed provocative sanctions against Russia even though the US ambassador to Moscow was summoned to the Foreign Ministry and clearly told that if the US imposes more sanctions there will be no meeting between Putin and Biden.
Then there is this: the US has informed the Turkish authorities that they will not send two USN ships into the Black Sea. This is politically a good sign, but in military terms, this is what the US should be doing if they were preparing for war. Why? Because any USN ship in the Black Sea at the moment of the initiation of a conflict would be sunk withing minutes: not only do the Russians have formidable missiles – Bal and Bastion – they had SIX advanced diesel-electric submarines of the 636.3 class ready to “greet” them. Keep in mind that engaging submarines without air cover is another form of collective suicide.
So, the phone call was a deception and the US is still going down the road towards war with Russia.
In my professional opinion, what I see is a joint preparation by the Ukronazis and the USA (along with the UK and Poland) to attack the Donbass and force a conflict upon Russia.
Considering the extreme nature of these developments, I am reopening an open thread.
PS: as for the Ukronazis, they have just used their heavy artillery (banned by the Minsk Agreements) to murder another civilian in his home. They were apparently trying to disable an electric station (a typical move by US-trained militaries before an attack).
It is very hard for me to see how a war could be avoided.
I still remember when I was a kid, the arrogant Americans visiting my country (Southern Europe) acting like Gods. When we were in line to buy a loaf of bread or some beef, this people would ignore the line, bribe the store clerk and buy all of the bread or meat that was left in the store. Even US students used to do this since the exchange rate USD to local currency allowed them to live like kings. Exceptionalism? Maybe for being the descendants of Cain?
Less than 10% of the US population have a decent intellectual content. All the others are just dumb fucks brainwashed by their coca cola exceptionalism shit, hamburgers, obesity, mainstream media, users of drugs of all kinds, even at the senior military level.
Except for some of the elite troops, the military, especially lower ranks are drug addict mercenaries, cowards, some transsexuals, with no much desire to fight.
On the other hand, the Russians are excellent soldiers and above all Patriots that would fight to death for their country. Even if they had not sophisticated equipment, which the Russians have, Guess, who has the odds of winning a war?
Some people even wonder if the world would be a better place without the USA as we know it.
I am not Politically correct sorry.
The world would be a better place without the US government, that’s for sure. It is a collection of grifters and terrorists. How to get rid of these people is the problem that Russia, China, Iran, and the world face, because they have a huge nuclear arsenal,a big red button, and they are f*cking crazy. I think this is the main factor in our Honorable Mr. Putin’s restraint dealing with US provocations. The psychos might push that button, and then all of us will die.
America’s Suez moment?
In case of a US/Nato move, expect an immediate ADIZ/No Fly/No Sail Zone around Taiwan accompanied by de facto customs control of integrated circuits exports.
Xi is the son of one of China’s most famous generals, and his first job was three years as Assistant to the head of China’s Joint Chiefs of Staff. More than anyone on earth, the Chinese are eager to fight the USA.
Since its Godfree Roberts, I will give my very short 2c on CCP china here…
– china will NEVER invade Taiwan. PERIOD. no need to – the majority of population in Taiwan (not the politicians and the rich ppl) welcome china and many want to reconnect their roots and many more want to access vast china economy/military? platform. But china will ‘guard’ her lost child, by all means possible, against the troublemaker west. The billions of ppl in China want Taiwan back. As to One Country 2 Policy thats for Godfree Roberts to write his analysis :)
– yes CCP china military is boiling over, it seems even the peaceful Xi cannot stand them down too much longer… sigh :(
be well be safe
thanks for your comment – I totally agree with you – by the way – did you see this video and channel ? Interesting – its from a channel called Difference Frames the World – I really like it – they put out a new video everyday – its always very interesting. This one is about the military – in both Myanmar and China – very intersting.
The Suez comparison may be about right. This article shows that some in the US armed forces are seeing a similar scale down in imperial might as rational for the US in the next couple of decades.
some US stategists see a scaling down of their navy like the scale down the UK made in the 1960s and 70s. In 1960 the RN had 500 ships, by the Falkland War it was down to 117. The USN currently has 273 but the authors see a scaling down to 100 in coming decades
This whole clusterf**k is aimed at erecting a new iron curtain between East and West. I am not sure how you (lots of commenters) can seriously think that they are planning a major war vs. Russia. Their administration has made ample statements about Russia’s defense policy, which would result in at the very least massive conventional strikes at NATO headquarters. If there was aerial bombardment / cruise missile strikes on crimea or other Russian territory, nuclear strikes on military assets would be possible too. And the military planners in NATO know exactly where this leads to.
If there is a war at all, Ukraine will be sacrificed or partitioned, with only a token NATO assistance, mostly material, behind the lines “consultants” and whatever mercenary is crazy enough to go there.
But the real aim is to divorce the western informational and cultural sphere from Russia/China. Whenever a successfully different, even slightly, approach to economy or culture arises, the imperialists are quick to stomp them out. When there was no resistance, they just flattened Libyen. Obv. won’t work with Russia, that’s why the new Iron Curtain has to go up.
There is one other theory, but that one I find hard to believe: that all major elites worldwide are more or less on the same side and just want to split the world in distinct economical and cultural zones for future exploitation/value generation and most of the current events are kabuki theatre to mask that process.
Or it might be that the US elites are terminally insane.
“This whole clusterf**k is aimed at erecting a new iron curtain between East and West.”
This is in part what Dmitri Orlov opines, but in the context of the Great Reset, not a hot war with Russia (I think).
He points to the fact that commercial aviation (i.e., people flying around to foreign countries) is being totally shut down, censorship is culling what ideas we are exposed to or may express, people cannot travel abroad or in some cases leave their own countries, etc.
Per Orlov the point is to fractionate society so that the connections between countries and regions are severed and regional or national authorities can better maintain control not only over movement but also ideas, interests, dreams, and curiosity.
The covid scare has even led to the breaching of the domestic law whereby US citizens can travel freely between all states of the Union. Suddenly for the first time people were ordered not to leave their state nor allow people from other states into their states (or quarantine for 14 days after coming from out of state). To me this was one of the most shocking developments in the covid “reality” melodrama. It is absolutely basic that there are no internal borders in the United States. Except under fear-mongered “emergency” conditions, there might be . . .
Back to the New Iron Curtain: I can see this as a goal. To criminalize contacts with Russia and Russians or any other country and its people as needed to maintain the new ‘order” and “reset” and perhaps to quash any ideas of emigrating from the USA to Russia. Which I know a lot of people are dreaming about.
The Orlov scenario makes sense. Bolsonaro in Brazil is hated by many here, but objectively speaking, he is refusing to follow the march towards tyranny of the globalists (Great Reset, lockdowns, etc). He recently gave a speech in Santa Catarina and refused to use the military to enforce lockdowns. As a renegade, the globalist response is to isolate Brazil. This isolation has now been effected with travel restrictions to most countries.
(I spent months in Brazil 2020/2021 and can tell you it is not the crisis you hear on the media. Yes, the Brazilian media blasts lies and exaggerations nonstop, but I was in hospitals in different parts of the country. There are Covid patients, but the hospitals are generally not filled. People are suffering economically and some are practically starving.)
Bolsonaro, for all of his crudeness and many faults, has very limited control of the Brazilian states. Russia, by contrast, has its own vaccines and is not reporting high numbers of cases. Thus, medical isolation by the globalists is impractical. Besides, they can hope to accomplish more by economic and military isolation of Russia.
It is easy to see his this isolation can lead eventually to war, but the immediate goal may simply be to push the western world into Lockstep without too much contradiction from the pesky and warmongering Russians.
Oh They are insane. Trust me on that.
Should a war break out, it is difficult to tell if it will be strictly confined to Ukraine.
One thing is for sure: War between US/Nato and Russia will be nuclear.
I can’t believe that the US Navy would send the two Aegis ships to either provide naval gunfire support for the Ukraine attack on Donbass or to attack RF targets for the simple reason that they’re relatively puny vs what RF has in the Black Sea fleet and the RF mainland. It’s like walking into a bear’s cave and fighting the bear armed with a baseball bat.
No, it’s more for PR effects and possibly to probe RF responses, and we’re making a mountain out of a molehill vis-a-vis these ships.
What’s a bigger threat is merchant ships filled to the rails with war materiel contracted to the US Navy passing through the Bosphorus and heading to Ukraine unencumbered by the Montreux convention.
The military strength of the Anglo-Zionists is at its lowest. Over-deployed, equipped for counter-insurgency. Their key equipment, aviation, navy on the decline. The navy is very vulnerable. Their missiles are outclassed by those of the Russians. Their electronic warfare equipment too.
The imminent fall of us$ will prevent rearmament. If the dollar falls, it’s over. The Anglo-Zionists are forced to go on the attack.
If there is a general escalation. Let’s hope that the Chinese are ready to take back Taiwan. And that the Iranians have helped the Houthis to have what it takes to bring their aggressors to their knees.
“A crushing defeat or a marked inferiority in the presence of the enemy fleet is both equivalent to a complete dislocation of the entire system of colonies or zones of influence, regardless of where that defeat occurs. (A Mahan)
If I could experience that, I could rejoice, not for the destruction, but for the return of life for many peoples.
My prayers go out to the combatant deployed in the Donbass, in Crimea, and in Kaliningrad.
Hopefully V. Putin is well protected. He is the only world leader with a brain and guarantor of peace. Remember that the Zionists have tumor roots in many lands. In Russia there is still a treacherous 5 column in the wings. Following the Masonic footprint, the world Freemasonry responds to the “Perfidious Albion” = English Nobility, Rothschild and company. Hugs and my support to the great Russian people.
“The angels do not have the ornamental sword”
The imminent fall of the USD forget about that before in 50, 100 years or maybe never?Since I was a child(I’m 61) i’m hearing and reading this mantra almost on a daily basis.Nothing ever happened, and even if…they just keep on printing like crazies.Same for the euro even if the ECB print less.UK,Japan etc it is QE everywhere.
Yeah, I agree – some have been saying this for years. Heck, last year COVID was supposed to be the start of the ‘great reset’ – but then it wasn’t.
I’m sure those that control 99 percent the population want that and trying their best to make it happen. Funny thing is if you destroy everything and everyone completely, what would they do for fun? They’d miss us too much, keeping us in misery all the time. Only way a great reset could work is they could not just get rid of savings/money, but also all personal debit. Which they are loathe to do as that is the main way they keep their control over us. They just can’t help themselves!
@ war … is may be coming
No, you are wrong. The US dollar is worth less than 1% of what it was a century ago. The process started by the abandonment of the gold standard in 1971 was completed by helicopter Ben. The $ is now only backed by oil and only thanks to the power of the US Navy.
The Anglo-Zionists can only maintain themselves in the hypothesis developed by Orwell in 1984. I.E. a closed tri-polar world, organized around 3 very polarized ideologies. These ideologies should have replaced the failing economy that no longer supports the $.
The Russian-Chinese strategic alliance, and the China Iranian alliance means checkmate for the Anglo-Zionists. The world will not be organized around 3 extremist ideologies.
With war in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Libya, Somalia, the Anglo-Zionists are trying to format (i.e. to destroy the state structures of the whole Muslim world) Orwell’s disputed area. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_geography_of_Nineteen_Eighty-Four
The current situation of the Anglo-Zionists is typical of a zug zwang. They do some things to keep the game going, but they have lost. They are so crazy that they prefer to burn the chessboard with nuclear bombs. That’s why the human race is threatened.
The nuclear escalation that is underway is forced by the failure of their penultimate move, the Great Reset.
The globalists, the Anglo-Zionists have lost. Their victors are not followers of Clausewitz. They will not be physically destroyed, but they must accept to play with other rules than their own.
With the escalation underway we have reached the final blow, the defeat of the US navy. Everyone should pray that it will be as total as possible.
NILSY – Public Joint Stock Company Mining and Metallurgical Company Norilsk Nickel shares are down $0.01. Sanctions are hurting Russia.
I am doing my best to keep my mostly American audience informed of the situation. I’ll be watching this thread closely!
In an eventual World War III, I didn’t hear anyone talking about North Korea.
If Russia and China open the doors and arm that army, they will serve very well to guarantee the rear and, some troops, even on the front line.
I compare North Korea (Kim Il Sung) with Kadyrov’s Chechnya, a “reserve”, an “ace in the sleeve” …
When frying eggs, placing constantly disciplined troops is more convenient than training recruits fresh out of the diaper.
NK will sit out on this one…
our dear leader Kim will make lots of ‘visual’ but NK will sit out on this one
SK will be more ‘interesting’ to watch…
and Japan of course…
both have majority population of anti-war
be well be safe
Sad to say but predictable, tonight the ZE is the winner and the star in all msm. Putin and RF are a living laughing stock, even more when they talk about ‘tit for tat’ answer to the sanctions(retaliation does not exist in the Kremlin vocabulary).Zelensky will meet Macron and Merkel friday, after his week long ‘tour’.
This is what happen when a power never retaliate with the only language this bunch of warmongers neocons understand, I mean a very credible threat to use force or…force.
Untill they will get the big ”lesson”(they deserve largely), they will double down, always, Saker is perfectly right on this for years. Russia now has nothing more to loose except credibility forever and face and a lot of money. Letting multiple NATO bases on RF border is not an option except for the destruction one day of the country and his people(via terrorism, false flag, continuation of Donbass shelling etc before full scale attack à la Barbarosa 2.0 on Moscow). Putin is not eternal, we maybe have a new Eltsin after as old russians will continue to be replaced by urban young yuppies mad for the West way of life(eventhough a lot would be surprised in the wrong way, as US or EU are far from a paradise).
Any Biden offer, meeting.. is a joke of course, it is a demand for full capitulation nothing less.
They are still talking about sanctions on NS2 tonight, and then it will go on and on forever.
Weakness, diplomacy, ‘our partners’, ‘our friends’, ‘our colleagues” etc must stop, the only right term if our ennemies. There is zero to negociate with these people or if yes not with Biden go directly in Tel Aviv: Syria, Iran and greater israel are THE ONLY real subjects, the rest is fantasy.Maidan was neocon pay back for the aborted missiles attack on Syria of Obama, cancelled on the last moment in exchange for destruction of chems, thanks to Putin.Obama was weak, Biden yes sleepy joe wants to look strong(other option he decides absolutely nothing which is probable).
What’s fascinating to me is that at
Alexander Mercouris has the exact opposite interpretation of today’s events: that America’s turnabout (cancellation), regarding those two warships to the Black Sea, indicates that a U.S.-Russia war over the Donbass issue, is vastly less like than it had been, very unlikely.
Yes – Andrei in a comment last thread was not terribly complimentary of AM – but Andrei Martyanov complimented AM highly yesterday over at his blog – HAHA
I think Mercouris has it right. Biden’s announcement was pablum. The US can’t take a punch. Russia has let everyone know that keeping NATO out of Ukraine means infinitely more than Nord Stream 2. I’d be more interested to know what the Saker thinks about Russia and Turkey. How far can Turkey push before Russia starts pushing back?
You have probably already covered the topic, a war on Russia through Ukraine is effectively a hot war between the US and Russia.
Do you believe that Russia will target the US homeland with conventional weapons and if so, what would be on their target list ?
I’ll go with Andrei on this one…..
First of all, Russia has escalation dominance. We have seen a little of what that means with 2 Armies and 3 Batallions assigned to Crimea, East Ukrainian Border, and North Ukrainian Border.
Not yet seen, but soon to be so, will be those forces placed opposite the Baltics, and Poland.
Russia needs to cut off any NATO attempt to move forces into Ukraine, any NATO attempt to take Belarus, or to threaten St. Petersburg, Tver, etc.
Again, and again I reiterate…. This is NATO’s party. There is no need for Russia to hurry.
Already, NATO is nervous…. they are used to formations of tens of thousands….. they are seeing formations of hundreds of thousands…. Why are they nervous??? Because, they are scraping the barrel to put together those shows of force they currently engage in…
B-2 bombers in Norway… How many??? 2 (two) why not more??? because the rest are in the hangar being repaired…
F-22s How many??? Answer…. NONE… because they are stationed in Alaska, KSA, and Florida… all 120 of them…
F-35s How many??? Answer NONE…. because they don’t work…
F-15s How many??? Answer…. a few hundreds… because the rest are either in the hangar waiting for parts.. or committed to one of the hundreds of brush fires the US is engaged in world wide..
F-16s Ditto the above…
A-10s How many?? Answer… a hundred or so… because the rest are either in the hangar waiting for parts.. or committed to one of the hundreds of brush fires the US is engaged in world wide..
Arleigh Burke Destroyers How many?? Less than 50.. because the rest are in dry dock being repaired, or committed to one of the dozens of CBGs the US is engaged in world wide…
Armour…. How many divisions??? How many tanks?? How long before they are toast???
NATO talks a good game…. but this is not a game… Russia is not playing a game….. this is for keeps…
Not before the ground is firm… May or later… No need to rush…. Lots of pieces to move…
Alliances to cement… China, DPRK, Pakistan, Iran, Venezuela, Bolivia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myammar, India, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Yemen, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, etc:
You say no… but the SCO is not looking for military allies…. the SCO is looking for economic partners… Is offering independence from NATO hegemony… Heady stuff…
Don’t panic… lots of time…. yet…
US’s decision to reverse course and not send warships to the Black Sea is a big military humiliation. Today’s sanctions against Russia are merely face saving.
The financial, economical and political situation of most countries in the west demand a war to divert domestic attention and transfer their problems and obligations! The City is in big trouble, and when it calls, Washington responds.
This time the only countries that can diffuse this catastrophe are Germany and France in a united front. Or they both will be sucked into the mess that will certainly end in another war that will be even costlier for both to contain it just in the Ukraine.
If a war breaks out it is very unlikely that a containment will be possible, because Zelensky’s aim is Crimea and Russia will not allow any nonsense there. So it will escalate with retaliations by both sides and other countries as well will enter the conflict through false flag operations for them to bear the brunt of the costs and later the reconstruction to be done by multinational companies, which today are much larger and articulated, that will profit from yet another massive war.
So, only Germany and France can avoid this war together. But they need to act fast!
Thank you Saker for your unparalleled analysis and scaffolding.
I am a teacher in NZ. I have been interested keenly in history, politics and war since my early 20s.
I have read widely, but your ability to explain and make one understand what is really going on geopolitically and militarily is unique. Thank you.
I just want to say if powerful American decision makers really are building bunkers in NZ, and they come here to hide after starting WWIII, it will be in vain – they too will die from the fallout – it will just take a bit longer. And if a nuclear exchange is limited, Im sure the Spetsnaz will come down and get them, however it would most likely be our own govt/security forces that hand them over.
NZ is a peace loving country of approx 5 million people. We do have some people who are serious assholes, just like in any country; many of them like and look up to the US and it’s turbo capitalism.
When our 1980s leader David Lange listened to the people and made NZ ‘nuclear free’, he created an irreparable rift in ANZUS. It was revealed quite recently that Australian elites even considered assassinating Lange – think Australian SAS vs NZSAS.
With regards to current events, I believe Russia needs to be bold. I know whatever I suggest will ultimately come across as childish because I don’t know or understand all of Russia’s concerns and interests, let alone the monetary aspects of global affairs and statehood. I do however know how racist bullying works (I lived in Australia for 4 years as a child/teenager) and I think I recognise one psychological aspect of what the west is doing to Russia, and they will need to stand up to the West very soon if they wish to protect their country’s people and future, and Im sure with such excellent leaders as they have they will do just this.
If conflict in the Donbas is deemed inevitable by Russia, and WWIII begins unfolding…they need to do the following things, with allies or alone if need be.
1. Kill and Capture as many English speaking military advisors as possible (Syria and Ukraine) and please, please.., record everything on video and release the footage globally (with subtitles). Make the officers try to justify and explain themselves.
2. Disable Nato, force the US into submission by destroying it’s carrier groups and parading POWs, defang Israel and reinstate Palestine.
I do not take any joy in the thought of regular rank and file soldiers and sailors having to die, but the US elites are playing chicken with the rest of the world and they need to be stopped. There is a trail of unimaginable death and suffering going back decades behind them. Enough is enough, they are the ‘bad guys’ who need to be taken out.
I agree that only an independent France and Germany can act to bring rationality to world affairs and act as a buffer between Russia/China and the Washington Empire. Washington, however has used the same techniques to control the various media outlets as it used to completely take over the American media and thus control public opinion in Europe as well as using the same techniques to bribe and intimidate political leaders. France and Germany have powerful enough forces within the State to be somewhat insulated from Washington’s influence.
Hello from Tehran. strategically speaking, I don’t think it’s the US per se as country who is waging a war against Russia, but corrupt financiers that have amassed trillions during past years and are now afraid Russia’s rule-based global approach is going to deprive them of their fortunes. So Moscow need not fight Americans but instead only a handful of financial elite represented by puppet politicians including the Biden administration. The best way is to deprive the Western financial elite of their free ride based on their US dollar role as the world’s major trading currency. Apart from developments around Russia’s western borders and the Black Sea, asymmetrically, a new more effective strategy is to open a new front in and around the Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman to the Suez Canal. Russia, Iran and Syrian people should finish the job they started in Syria. The Yemeni militants are going to defeat S.A. soon and then it would be easier to bring the countries of the region into Russia-China and Iran camp.
So it seems the situation is forming as:
No meeting for Biden from Putin (because it wouldn’t have been a mutual meeting, but rather a gift from VVP to hollow B) and no appearance of the “killer” to grandpa’s little ball/meeting on climate.
Old B will be very sad and hurt, because VVP will be concentrated on having his own speech of building a new economic order in the world and will not come to show how important B is and luster his ego.
B and the whole US are throwing a tantrum. Probably, VVP shouldn’t even answer B’s calls.
Foreign Minister Lavrov one again..the other day
The Russian side also stressed that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in the current situation needs to step up efforts of unbiased observation of the situation on both sides of the line of engagement in Donbass and primarily instances of civilian deaths and civil infrastructure destruction.”.
1 15 APR, 16:46 Russia calls on France, Germany to stop propaganda over Russian military exercises Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed out that Russian diplomats in Moscow and Vienna have been calling on partners not to distort reality and not to interpret Russia’s planned combat training events on the Russian territory as a display of aggressive intentions © Valery Matytsin/TASS MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Moscow calls on Paris and Berlin to stop partaking in the propaganda campaign around Russian military combat training events on the Russian territory that do threaten absolutely no-one, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday. “Once again, we call on our partners, mainly Germany and France as our colleagues on the Normandy Four format, to stop partaking in the propaganda campaign around Russian events on the Russian territory that threaten no-one, and to focus instead on urging Kiev to de-escalate tensions in Donbass and implement the Minsk Agreements,” she said.”
VIENNA, April 14. /TASS/. The OSCE member-countries should force Kiev to give up plans for a “bloody and suicidal adventure” in Donbass, an advisor to the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control Yulia Zhdanova said at an urgent joint meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation and the OSCE Permanent Council. The OSCE member-countries are holding an OSCE meeting at Ukraine’s request to discuss what they claim is unusual military activity on the Russia-Ukraine border. The Russian delegation opposed the idea of adopting any resolutions or recommendations at the OSCE meeting.”
Sounds like a whole lot of exasperation.
“This also stands testament to the general inadequacy of the OSCE. As far as media and the collective West are concerned, the situation is clear: Kiev is the victim, the Eastern Ukrainian republics and Russia are the aggressors. As such, the fewer pieces of evidence to prove otherwise are present, the better.”
OSCE and Kiev refused Russia to record meetings audio and video to expose tactics to prevent Minsk and anything might actually be agreed considering Kiev is highly selective and reinterpretaive to their own agendas not compliance with Minsk.. OSCE suspended meeting to redefine protocols etc.
“Boris Gryzlov, the representative of Russia in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), believes that the statements of the Ukrainian authorities about plans to return Eastern Ukraine on their own terms indicate the actual termination of Kiev’s implementation of the Minsk agreements.”
Sounds like a whole lot of frustration.
There maybe a false flag chemical attack.
The commanders of the Ukrainian units received packages that can be opened only after a special conditional signal from the higher headquarters. Evil tongues claim that this is due to the upcoming offensive of Ukrainian soldiers.
Here in Poland there are no information about situation in Ukraine. It’s crazy. I ask people and they have no idea that we can be drawn into war. I heard already from one place that there are some Poland’s military in Donbass. Do you have any information about that?
After watching Biden’s little puppet theater display we can fairly conclude that empire has added insult to injury. Narrative within empire’s territories is still that civilized, exceptional and all-powerful US is standing on the moral high ground, and is firmly but justly disciplining unpredictable, primitive and aggressive savage Russians in an effort to make them more civil. And anything Russia will do in a counterpunch will be perceived and reported in that context. Makes you wanna throw up, isn’t it?
It’s just a farce and should be treated as such. Can’t emphasize strongly enough: Russia should accelerate war preparations in scope and size!
But… when talking about war scenarios, there’s a something big we’ve all missed here: Russia still has a “Trump card” to play. Large portions of US military still see Trump as their leader and really don’t want a war with Russia. I suspect a military coup in US supported by militias is a possibility, a distant possibility but still….
There’s a reason Trump didn’t conceded and didn’t congratulated Biden, we might soon discover why. It would be a chaos, empire would unleash all the daemons from hell in response and after that all bets are off, but hey, as masters of hell they can do it anytime for no reason at all, and they are already inflicting it on all of us though in controlled and perfidy way.
Russia should not say anything about latest sanctions before Putin holds his speech on 21st, let them wonder what’s coming, and in the meantime just prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare… Pandora’s box has been opened by empire, nothing can change that. Beware “Rods from God” of something else like that, Putin & Shoygu should sleep underground.
Is there any evidence that such an emergency has been declared in the US. That would be a major escalation Maybe a statement or link.
These ermegencies are formulae to basically give the executive lawful powers they didn’t have before. There are some 34 “national emergencies” currently in effect in the USA, one being targetted against 4 Burundi officials. Normally these powers should be limited in scope and well defined and reasoned, in many countries these little “Ermächtigungsgesetze” have unlcear formulation and often sweeping consquences.
It’s bussiness as usual, democracy only functions as long as it is in the aristocracies interest.
“This is politically a good sign, but in military terms, this is what the US should be doing if they were preparing for war. Why? Because any USN ship in the Black Sea at the moment of the initiation of a conflict would be sunk withing minutes:”
I doubt that the war planners care about US ships being sunk in the black sea in fact if they are intent on war with Russia, the sinking of the ships would be EXACTLY what they need to *manufacture consent* for such a war back home.
I don’t think the Biden administration has an appetite for war with Russia because they know it could quickly lead to the end of the world as we know it.
Russia will not put up with American military aggression. It is not a small powerless country (like Syria) that can be pushed around. Poke the Russian Bear at your own peril.
“”The Ukrainian navy threatened to shoot Russian coast guard vessels near the Kerch Strait just hours before Putin closed the waterway to foreign warships in the latest sign of mounting tensions in eastern Europe. The standoff took place between three Ukrainian Gyurza-M-class artillery boats and five unidentified vessels belonging to Russia’s FSB coast guard service overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, according to Black Sea News editor Andrii Klymenko who monitors military activity in the area. Russian vessels began making ‘provocative manoeuvres’ around the Ukrainian boats and only backed off after they threatened to open fire, Mr Klymenko reported. The incident happened within 25 miles of the Kerch Strait. The incident has echoes of a 2018 clash between Ukraine and Russia in the strait which led to three Ukrainian ships being captured and Russia blocking the strait using a large container ship, sparking a diplomatic crisis. Just hours after the latest incident took place, Russia again announced that it was closing the strait to foreign warships until October – ostensibly so that naval training exercises can take place.Ukraine has branded the move a violation of its rights. The move cuts off the Sea of Azov to the outside world including the Ukrainian port cities of Mariupol and Berdiansk, which border the Donbas region where fighting is currently taking place between Russian-backed rebels and Ukrainian forces.””
The incident happened within 25 miles of the Kerch Strait.
I read somewhere the boats were south of the strait when the closure was announced, and unable to return to their base in the Azov. Hope they have enough fuel to make it to Odessa. LOL.
Deadpan diplomatic language can be painful… LOL 😅
Kremlin stays mum on Ukraine’s complaints about Black Sea drills
“Peskov told reporters on Friday that it would be better to ask the Russian Defense Ministry for clarifications. “Requests should be sent to our Defense Ministry, officials there will be able to provide a comment in a more professional way,” he noted.”
Far from failure L’Azempire is leaving United States to become truly global. None has described it better than Cory Morningstar in her blog TheArtOfAnnihilation.
Current frontier is everything living – our bodies, our nature, our air, water and everything else, not only the states of peoples. If nature is to be monetized, Russia would be absolutely the richest country in the world. Nowhere else is such immense natural richness managed by so few a people.
That can’t be, that can’t happen.
So for that, Russia must either be subjugated or thrown out of the system, which will then be totally remade. The visions of marriage, between Corporation and the World.
Democracy, or what is left of it, will at best be a seasonal phenomenon – there will be bad years and years not so bad. Sometimes elections will happen, sometimes not. At the slightest hint from the World Health Organization our Western governments will now be more than willing to turn their countries into sickhouse prisons.
Even the smallest and weakest now practice absolutely unnecessary police violence. Quite openly, as it would be something to be proud of.
No freedom of movement, no right to live freely and take the risk of ones actions. Sick people chased by sick police at the behest of sick politicians and governments hiding behind in digitally managed and virtually totalitarian environments. For some people, all doors will quite literally open themselves – others will be left outside for lack of “credit”. Nothing personal, although nothing would be personal.
For all that to happen, for our lives to merge with digital, Russia cannot be seen as a country of the free and the brave.
Lonely, lonely country Russia. We have been there, we know how it feels. During those long years Russia was with the “partners” in the opposite camp. It kept stabbing us in the heart over and over so we knew it wasn’t a mistake, it was a strategy. Today, every Russian neighbour is an enemy. Everyone who used to be a friend, brother and an ally is gone. Russia played a shameful role in the Balkans as an enemy of Serbs, it sold Fidel Castro mostly to its own detriment, it wasn’t able to see the writing on the wall, it ignored its own history, it refused to learn, just like a butterfly it kept flying around the fire for too long. It hoped to get a lot for itself by helping and enabling the enemy in other places. Russia was (is) extremely selfish, immoral and shortsighted. It lost so much because of the incompetence and ignorance of its despotic “leaders” who are always right .Most of it will never be recovered including my brotherly feelings. No sympathies.
It is not just the usOfa. Canada – Eric Margolis, Vietnam vet and Linda McQuiag (It the Crude, Dude 2006) both were with then Sun papers in Canada, a very conservative chain that was not in business (primarily) to make money. And they they were let go along with other token liberals and anti-miltary libertarians (right sized, correct tactics, anti interventionist). I did not see them getting contracts with the other papers. Margolis has been a strident objector to objectives of the usOfa military and points outs deficiencies. I remember seeing McQuaig in Winnipeg in 2007 for her book tour, A really good reporter.
Trudeau is most assuredly very different from his father. I did not see as blatantly with the PC’s (Progressive Conservatives) and Conservatives an institutional basis of Neo-Conservativsim that has been with the present Trudeau adminisitration since their first day of being elected.
Canada has de-evolved a long way since the days of Lloyd Axworthy (Foreign Minister) and others in Canada being a crucial part of the drafting and implementation of the Ottawa Treaty on Land Mines. 1999 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottawa_Treaty.
Chretien (P.M) of liberals and Axworthy were extremely opposed to the 2003 Iraq War imbrogilio. I still cherish Axworthys calling the run up to it as “3 card monty.” There are numerous independent journalists in Canada who write about the plight of the Palestineans and Canadas shabby treatment of Haiti. They do not get one drop of ink in the major newspapers.
I still grieve that 3 of the larger militaries are still wedded to the usage of landmines. The continuing loss of life and limbs in Vietnam is the lens I use to evaluate the banality of land mines. The usOfa has been hoist on its own petard over this in Iraq and Afghanistan. Life and limbs being lost possibly still occur in Afghanistan as documentated by Ann Jones via Soviet mines, land mines, the grift that keeps giving.
All the ominous signs of history are there – nuclear Armageddon – which the world will plunge into if the tail is allowed to wag the dog.
The likelihood of an all out war with Russia is unlikely. Let’s not conclude every decision maker at US/ NATO is stupid. Yes there are too vocal stupid ones, many of them indeed. But, let’s hope that there are also cool headed people to hold back such recklessness.
The US does not want war with Russia. All they want is to march the Ukie cannon fodder into the Donbass, where they are utterly destroyed by Kalibr strikes. Then they can finally cancel NS2 and sever the remaining ties between Russia and European NATO boot lickers.Jackpot.
Biden looks to appoint special envoy to kill Russia-Germany energy pipeline. 04/07/2021
“The potential appointment of an envoy indicates a new strategic focus by the administration. Previously, the White House had tasked the European affairs experts at the National Security Council and the State Department with handling the pipeline diplomacy; officials tell POLITICO there’s consensus that the thorny geopolitics surrounding Nord Stream 2 now require more dedicated attention — especially as the pipeline, which is already nearly 96 percent finished, races toward completion.
It’s also a nod to the pressure campaign from Capitol Hill, where senators from both parties have been pushing the Biden administration to effectively cripple the pipeline before it’s too late.”
“AFP #BREAKING Ukraine president calls for summit with Merkel, Macron and Putin”
I think Putin should reject this “blackmail”!
They (Nato + Ukraine) never intend to go to war with Russia, it is all bluff, this is only to heighten tensions, attract international attention for the Crimean Platform, and blackmail Russia into submission.
…but Russia is not bluffing, right?!
Russia is sanctioned & targeted not because of what it does, but because of what it is. If it doesn’t bend the knee, Russia can expect nothing but provocations.
“they had SIX advanced diesel-electric submarines of the 636.3 class ready to “greet” them.”
uh, no just two in the Black Sea, 2 in the Med and two in the Baltic under refit
Moreover the original Project 877 (Kilo/Varshavyanka) dates back to the mid-70s, the current version (Project 636) is from the mid-90s. In their day they were magnificent boats produced by the Soviet military industrial scientific complex. They were designed for open sea operations not for restricted basins such as the Black Sea. And unfortunately the new VMF does not have the capabilities of the old Soviet VMF and does not have the same Country behind it. Finally, these boats have been perfectly known and studied by the enemies of Russia for at least thirty years.
“Mała, zwycięska wojenka” marzy się wielu politykom- zachodnim oczywiście.
Jakie sa realia?
W ciągu kilku tygodni akcji przeciwko Libii, armia brytyjska i francuska zużyła wszystkie pociski manewrujące.
W liczbie bodaj 1200.
Odtworzenie zapasow kosztowało 800 milionow$, a czas realizacji zamowienia, rok.
Stan gotowosci bojowej lotnictwa krajow NATO- biorąc za przykład Niemcy, nie przekracza 16%.
Brak cześci zamiennych unieruchamia wiekszość komponentow naziemnych i morskich.
Kolejny element, to komponenty importowane spoza strefy europejskiej, głownie z Azji.
To niewiele kosztuje.
Google-translate from mod:-
“A small, victorious war” will dream of many politician – Western course.
What are the realities?
Within a few weeks against Libya, the British and French army used all maneuver bullets.
In the number, Bodaj 1200.
Reconstructing the stocks cost 800 million $, and the time of order for orders, year.
The state of combat cash in the aviation of the aircraft, by example, Germany does not exceed 16%.
No convertible parts immobilizes most of ground and marine components.
Similarly, it is probably with other countries.
Expeditional body equipment is not this scale as if the entire army is equipped.
It takes place thanks to “cannibalization” of equipment in various units.
Another element is the components imported from outside the European zone, mainly from Asia.
Steel, aluminum, microprocessors, pharmaceuticals, are not produced in Europe, after expiration of “unprofitable” or too little green production.
Therefore, a longer war with a range of an opponent, I think it seems embarrassing.
But, turn off the sector, attack media, you can.
It costs little.
I understand that Donald Trump is STILL the president of US so Biden cannot start a war using US military. I think this is game playing by the media to scare the people and as far as NATO goes, are they not the joke of the century?
So for the third time world war is to break out in Eastern Europe? Seems to me Russia found out 1945-89 that the only value of all of it was to hold NATO at a distance, and even that was more costly, perhaps, than it was worth
And now NATO and the EU are stuck with paying the subsidies, putting up, or putting down nationalist crazies. From an American perspective, I’d say FDR and Truman were smarter than we give them credit for in allowing Stalin to sit on this unruly and unrulable portion of the world. Bought us 50 years of peace.

Stop truths time!!
Ok, well it’s April 18th and nothing like that has happened. Biden did not a dress the nation.
There is only one action to prevent global thermonuclear war at this point.
President Putin should publicly address all of the US, whether it be the US networks, or the civilian populace directly, explain the circumstances, for the first time actually declassify US attacks on Russia and allies, show the evidence gathered on the CIA assassination attempt of President Lukashenko, sanction accordingly, then provide a final warning.
The warning should be so strong that it makes everyone fear the actions of president Biden and NATO, such as: “Any attempt at subversion, government coups, color revolutions, continuous movement of NATO forces closer to Russia will be seen as a threat and an act of war, and destabilization of government will result in a complete crippling of Amerikan finances, flood of information on Amerikan provocation, war crimes, etc. to NATO-backed countries media, and launch of nukes at strategic emplacements across the world.”
There is only one thing to do with a rabid dog.
Put it down.
A mass mobilization is taking place in Russia under the slogan “cutting the heads of Americans.” 52.8 million troops have already been involved in the war with the Anglo-Saxons.
