Andrei Belousov, deputy director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department of Nonproliferation and Arms Control, has recently made an important statement which I shall quote in full and then provide a translation.
Translation: “Recently at a meeting the United States stated that Russia is preparing for war. Yes, Russia is preparing for war, I can confirm it. Yes, we are preparing to defend our homeland, our territorial integrity, our principles, our values, our people. We are preparing for such a war. But there is a major difference between us and the United States. Linguistically, this difference is just in one word, in both Russian and English: Russia is preparing for war while the United States is preparing a war” (emphasis added).
We are so used to western diplomats and politicians saying more or less anything and everything (as the joke goes: when do you know that a politician is lying? When his lips move) that many of us stopped paying attention to what is being said. If tomorrow Trump or some “Congressperson” goes on national TV and declares “read my lips – up is down, dry is wet and yes means no” – most of us will just ignore it. The truth is that being exposed to that constant stream of empty, bombastic and always dishonest statements makes most of us immune to verbal warnings, even when they come from non-western political figures.
It is, therefore, crucial to fully realize that Russian official and diplomats carefully measure every word they say and that when they repeat over and over again that Russia is ready for war, they actually and truly mean it!
Of course, there have been those in the West who fully saw this danger and have been warning about it for years, I especially think of Prof. Stephen Cohen and Paul Craig Roberts here. And I have been warning about this for four years now, beginning with the article “Obama just made things much, much worse in the Ukraine – now Russia is ready for war” posted on March 1st, 2014, followed by many more articles with the same warning since (see “The Russian response to a double declaration of war” on September 27th, 2014; “Did Russia just “gently” threaten the USA?” on November 12th, 2015; “Debunking popular clichés about modern warfare” on May 19th, 2016; “How Russia is preparing for WWIII” on May 26, 2016; “A Russian warning” on June 1st 2016; “Assessing the Russian Military as an Instrument of Power” on August 25th, 2016; “Progress report on the US-Russian war” on December 1st, 2017; “What price will mankind have to pay for the collapse of the Empire?” on April 13th, 2018; “Each “click” brings us one step closer to the “bang!” on April 20th, 2018). But for all our efforts, we have been “voices crying in the wilderness” which is hardly surprising since even Putin’s blunt warning during his March 1st speech to the Russian Federal Assembly was quickly dismissed as “posturing” and quickly forgotten. This is why two weeks following that historical speech I compared Russia to a peaceful rattlesnake (yes, they are peaceful creatures!) desperately trying to warn a drunk idiot to back-off but to no avail: the drunk idiot just boastfully declares “hold my beer and watch this” and tries to grab the snake. I concluded by saying that:
May, Trump, Macron and Merkel, of course, but also their sycophantic presstitutes and the herds of zombified followers all believe in their invulnerability and superiority. The terrifying truth is that these folks have NO IDEA whom they are dealing with nor do they understand the consequences of pushing Russia too hard. Oh, in theory they do (yeah, yeah, Napoleon, Hitler, we know!). But in their guts, they feel safe, superior and just can’t conceive that they can die, and their entire society can just disappear.
Sadly, since then things have only gotten worse. This is why a clearly disgusted and frustrated Putin recently declared that
“Any aggressor should know that retribution will be inevitable and he will be destroyed. And since we will be the victims of his aggression, we will be going to heaven as martyrs. They will simply croak and won’t even have time to repent,”
Needless to say, the western ziomedia interpreted this warning as a sign of “Russian aggression,” not as a desperate attempt to wake up a delusional and infinitely arrogant Empire.
By the way – something very similar has been happening between the USA and China with an increasing number of Chinese officials publicly declaring that the Chinese armed forces need to prepare for war (here is just the latest such warning).
Sadly, the Chinese warnings are as ignored and as dismissed as the Russian ones. And that is truly frightening.
At least during the Cuban Missile Crisis, the entire world press was reporting about the confrontation minute by minute, and everybody knew that the danger of war was very real. In contrast today, hardly anybody gives the possibility of war much thought. In fact, the leaders of the AngloZionist Empire seem to be dead set on multiplying their provocations against Russia ranging from holding major military exercises right at the Russian border to giving the most prestigious EU human right prize to a convicted terrorist (the Poles, always so helpful, even suggested that Sentsov ought to be given the Nobel!). The EU also failed to notice the Ukronazi acts of piracy in the Sea of Azov but instead, condemned Russia for strictly enforcing her legal right to retaliate for the Ukronazi actions.
Such a level of hypocrisy is disgusting, of course. But it is also very, very dangerous.
Frankly, considering the fantastic and genuinely heroic efforts of Putin and Xi to avoid a major (nuclear) war with the Empire, I would suggest that they, not convicted terrorists, be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize (but I am not holding my breath here…)!
In sharp contrast to the western corporate media, the Russian media has been discussing the possibility of war with the US/NATO on a daily basis, and the discussion always revolves around the question “are they really crazy enough to actually attack us even though that would mean their certain destruction?!“. In fairness to the Russians, seeing folks like Nikki Haley or John Bolton, the question of “are they crazy?” is a logical one. But I think that it is also possibly misleading. Here is why:
While clearly some Neocons are truly batshit crazy, most are not. Stupid, ignorant, arrogant, hateful and evil – yes. But not necessarily insane. And for that reason, I don’t think that the AngloZionist leaders will stumble into a war against Russia as a result of their insanity. Besides, while US politicians are, indeed, amazingly stupid and ignorant, there are enough men in the US armed forces who remember the warning of Field Marshal and Viscount of Alamein Bernard Montgomery who famously declared to the House of Lords: “Rule 1, on page 1 of the book of war, is: “Do not march on Moscow”. Various people have tried it, Napoleon and Hitler, and it is no good. That is the first rule. I do not know whether your Lordships will know Rule 2 of war. It is: “Do not go fighting with your land armies in China.” It is a vast country, with no clearly defined objectives“. Most senior US military commanders must realize that war against Russia and/or China is a suicidal proposition.
But while the insanity of western leaders is unlikely to cause a war, I am afraid that their despair might.
Think of it: right now the USA is engaged in two parallel processes: on the one hand the USA is involved in sanctions and economic wars against most of the planet while on the other hand, the USA is withdrawing from one major international treaty after another (including arms control treaties). Ask yourself a simple question: is this the behavior of a country which is weak or strong? What does this “full-spectrum” policy of confrontation and self-isolation (because that is what withdrawing from so many agreements and treaties does: isolate the USA) mean? Does it signal the actions of a confident and strong power or one which is desperate and lashes out on all levels?
As this short post by Larchmonter445 reminds us, the current batch of US leaders are first and foremost *losers* and while they are still doing a pretty good job of window-dressing and flag-waving, it is becoming increasingly impossible to hide the magnitude of the multi-level slow-motion collapse of the AngloZionist Empire. I suppose that the band playing on the deck of the Titanic also played louder and louder, but the outcome of the show was never in doubt. The same is happening here and therein lies an enormous danger: the harder it becomes to conceal the magnitude of the unfolding disaster, the more the Empire lashes out, making the situation even worse which then makes it even harder to conceal the magnitude of the disaster. The Empire in general, and the USA specifically, is literally cracking on all levels and there is absolutely no reasonable and halfway viable way to reverse this trend because the one and only solution for the USA to survive is to give up the Empire and become a “normal” country – something US leaders are not even willing to contemplate. The Neocons, especially, seem to have a quasi-religious belief (or maybe it is just an uncontrolled knee-jerk reaction) that when one of their putative “clever” plans fail, the correct solution is to double-down. They seem to have fully internalized the German aphorism “wenn es mit Gewalt nicht geht, dann geht es mit mehr Gewalt!” (if violence can’t fix it, then even more violence will), forgetting that this belief did Germany no good against Russia. As for the general western public, it has been successfully turned into what I call “ideological drones“: brainwashed automatons who will wave their (Chinese made) flags to cope with any residual cognitive dissonance. When their certitudes finally come crashing down, they will also lash out at everything and everybody in abject despair and impotent rage.
Right now the USA and the “global West” (aka the AngloZionist Empire) are on a direct collision course with Russia (and probably China too). Right now, I see very few signs that anybody in the western elites is able (or willing) to admit that at the end of that road there is war and the destruction of the USA (and possibly much of Europe). Right now, the leaders of the Empire appear to be firmly locked into what the French call the “fuite en avant” (which can roughly be translated as “flight forward”, or “headlong rush”, “panic-induced compulsion to further exacerbate a crisis or calamity” or even “unconscious mechanism that causes a person to throw himself/herself into a dreaded danger”). I suppose that there is a sad and tragic irony in the fact that the result of the US elites constantly conjuring up some completely imaginary Russian “interventions” (in the USA and elsewhere) might eventually result in a very real Russia intervention, in the form of devastating missile strikes, but this is hardly a consolation.
How likely is that to change in the foreseeable future?
Not very likely, I am afraid.
Will Putin and Xi be able to avert the looming war with the West?
Maybe. But with each passing day bringing only further escalations and provocations from the “global West” their task is becoming harder and harder.
So far all the Russian and Chinese warnings have fallen on deaf ears and, frankly, I don’t believe that more warnings will do any good.
This might be the time for Russia and China to begin pushing back seriously. Everything else has failed, at least so far.
Thanks for this new article about the empire catastrophic ending.
I had hoped that despite all the negative signs,Trump and Poutine had reached some kind of agreement at the Helsinki meeting. I still do, as I still think that Trump isn’t insane and is much more willing to pressurize US “allies” than to trigger a wholesale destruction.
oh, Poutine is how Putin is spelled in French? My bad mods. I just found it odd to see it spelled that way here.
It’s mockery, actually. Poutine is a Canadian dish of fries, cheese and gravy. There is no such thing as spelling different in any language.
Poutine is Putin in French, yes.
It is absolutely not a mockery. Putin is Poutine in French.
A little hint of linguistic will tell you languages often use what is called “translitterations” for reasons related to the alphabet in each language. In this case, the french sound “u”-closed (see the phonetic alphabet) does not exist in English and in most other languages. I.e : if you want to speak the “u” like in Russian or in English in French, you have to spell it “ou”-Poutine so as to produce the sound of the name as close as possible to the original. (Other that in this case, the pronunciation of “putin” or “putain” in French means a whore !)
As a matter of interest, check the spelling of Khadafi in Italian … (for the same reason as above) !
Hoping to have brought some light.
You are correct, Poutine is the french spelling for Путин.
My son once said and no doubt many others who study International relations (IR) the following …….
The theories put forward mean a lot of jostling. close calls, but in the end no war possible…. That’s IR
The theories are compiled from past experiences …. between rationale actors …… thus far there has been limited yet contained kinetic contacts via mostly proxies…. – the cold war I
Washington is not rationale and has not been for decades….. (depending on which school one reads) as we are embroiled in the cold war II with fewer treaties and channels of communications.
I feel we are heading for war. Europe in parallel is fracturing socially politically and lower level economically as the western central banking system slowly strangles us… Unemployment is way too high amongst youth – tomorrows management and administratives and innovaters…
The next financial crash may very well be a trigger. ( I doubt the EU will last much longer under the current myriad of internal pressures ( including washingtons ) created by gross mismanagement within both their supranational structures …. )
Most of the European political class are manipulated by the monied and have been overtly since the 1990s. Nationalisim is on the rise which most fail to comprehend. Politics of identity – in group verses out group.
Out of this disunity … political vacuums create opportunities for populist representatives whose program s may very well be confrontational..
Just too many unknowns today but uncertainty in Europe is the norm. We are being dragged into a war like confrontation with the Russian Federation where Europe – the battle ground – has little unity and its citizens do not belief or trust the political class creating the war like scenarios…
Europe cant fight offensively or defensively and it is argued many wont fight….
Washington, however, may come over enforce to do the fighting over the top of us …. and then lose.
(WE all lose if it goes nuclear …. bye bye earth.
No thankyou !!!!
“where Europe – the battle ground –..”
I would not be that sure regarding the battle ground.
Once, not long ago, I heard a Russian Army Officer (it was a high rank officer but I do not remember who it was) saying in the next war the continental US will not be spared. If you add this to Putin showing last march 1st missiles able to reach the US mainland and saying as well that Russia will not fight a war in its territory again….et voila,,,,, just connect the dots and you will see that, if the US strikes Russia, most probably the US itself willl suffer. It could be Seattle, Chicago or NY but once it starts, nothing in the Northern hemisphere will be secure.
As someone who grew up with Duck N Cover drills where teachers and students pretended that flimsy school desks could protect from nuclear weapons, it has been clear for quite some time that America could be attacked.
We knew that, and it led to generations that fought for peace and against nuclear weapons. So, they stopped the Duck N Cover drills.
He is right, though. The plans are to have the war in Europe, just like the last two times. (Let’s you and him fight).
And then the US plans to come out on top again, just like the last two times.
They are also planning to have the war with China Over There.

US touts interception of a medium-range ballistic missile it should not have (VIDEO)
A medium-range ballistic target missile launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility, October 26.
The US Missile Defense Agency has been practicing shooting down a land-based medium-range ballistic missile, just as Washington prepares for its withdrawal from the cornerstone INF nuclear non-proliferation agreement.
Less than a week after President Donald Trump announced his plans to withdraw the US from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), the US Navy has conducted a successful test of its Aegis Combat System by firing and intercepting a “medium-range ballistic missile,” which is technically banned by the INF treaty.
Footage of the test shows USS John Finn tracking, engaging and shooting down a medium-range ballistic missile fired from the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii using SM-3 Block
Even though the US describes it as a “target missile,” Moscow has repeatedly said that tests such as the October 26 test seem to be in clear violation of the 1987 INF treaty which prohibits the development, production and deployment of land-based and cruise missiles with ranges of between 500km and 5,500km.
Announcing his country’s withdrawal from the INF, Trump once again boldly accused Russia of breaching the agreement by secretly developing ground-launched cruise missiles, as usual providing no details or evidence.
Russia, meanwhile, has its own, rather clearly-defined issues with how the US interprets the treaty. Besides the so-called ballistic target-missiles, Moscow considers heavy attack drones to be in breach of the treaty – as well as standardized ground-based Aegis Ashore anti-missile launchers in Europe that can be used to fire both SM-class interceptors and cruise
They can only intercept an american-made missile, which they know is being launched at a specific time and place. Did this missile have Russian stealth, decoy or evasive characteristics? It seems unlikely to me.
This is bluff and bluster from the US. They would be completely unable to intercept even a single Iskander missile. And a salvo of 10 or more would totally overwhelm the anti-missile systems in Europe (for instance).
Wind of Siberia, exactly. US fakes all those test, as we know from KSA’s attempts to shoot down Huthies’ missiles (sorry if I misspelled it) the success rate was almost zero, about 10%. It’s one thing, to attempt the shoot-down of an object when you know precisely it’s trajectory and another to do it to the real thing. Also we know that the missiles in Yemen are either old Soviet scuds or home made, which cannot compare to modern Russian ones.
So, the tests are what I call “feel good propaganda”.
I just stumbled on an interesting article regarding this event, and I quote:
“… journalist Yuri Podoyaka compared this latest US advance with Russia’s technological development in this sector.
“Undoubtedly, this is a much-anticipated advance of the American technical concept, but Russia is currently withdrawing from such military service and moving on to a new generation of warheads, against which the new US missile is totally incapable to fight,” he commented.
In addition, the journalist assures that it is not worth waiting for the emergence of a true interceptor of naval missiles in the USA.
“The entire concept of Aegis’ integrated missile defense system is incapable of combating the new Russian missiles and from the outset this system was a dead end,” he said. …”
Many believe that the US withdrawal from the INF treaty could heighten the nuclear standoff risks between Russia and America. Some even claim war is inevitable. What are some possible thermonuclear warfare scenarios?
Most political analysts list the sharp deterioration in the military and political situation in various conflict zones as one of the things that could trigger WWIII and an unavoidable nuclear exchange between the US and Russia.
The conflict zones are listed by the experts either in alphabetical order or from the East to the West, making sure not a single potentially dangerous conflict zone is missed. Usually, it goes like this: the Paracel Islands, India and Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Israel, Syria, and
Obviously, this is a very superficial approach. Even the sharpest deterioration in the Syrian conflict is highly unlikely to trigger a massive nuclear attack on Moscow or Washington.
Most of the experts fail to provide specific reasons that could force Russia and the US into a nuclear exchange.
For instance, if we unleash our imagination, we could hypothetically assume that Iran and Israel might exchange nuclear strikes. But even this conflict is unlikely to spread outside the Middle Eastern theater of war to involve all the members of the global nuclear club.
Despite the fact that US-Russia relations have been deteriorating lately, there are no territorial, financial, or ideological contradictions between the two countries that should bring them to a massive nuclear exchange.
Hence, the nuclear war scenario could only be discussed from a technical point of view. In other words, we first of all need to describe the steps of the process and its main characters.
Commander-in-Chief Gives the Green Light
First, let’s talk about the decision-making process. Who gives the order to launch nuclear weapons and what does it look like? Popular opinion is that the president has access to some kind of ‘red button’, and if he presses this button, he will simultaneously deploy intercontinental ballistic missiles and submarine-launched ballistic missiles.
Many people believe this nonsense, and sometimes we even hear it from experts. This is simply not true. In fact, the reality is totally different. The president gives permission to initiate the unlock and launch procedure in a coded message. Different military units handle the actual launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles and submarine-launched ballistic missiles, as well as cruise missiles with nuclear warheads. But before this happens, the warheads are unlocked by special authorization codes.
READ MORE: Apocalypse in 2019: Is Russia-US war possible?
Basically, individual weapons commanders receive a coded order from the president, take the envelopes with five wax seals from their safe, and open it. They compare the information they received from the president with the contents of the envelope, and decode the message to get the unlock code. The code is entered into the warhead control system, and the Unlock / Permission to Launch signs come on.
The president has in his possession the ‘nuclear briefcase’ that he would use for initiating the sequence. ‘Cheget’ is the code name for this nuclear briefcase, which in reality is an automatic system for command and control of Russia’s Strategic Nuclear Forces called ‘Kazbek’. The other two briefcases are carried by the Russian defense minister and the chief of the General Staff.
Some sources say that it takes confirmation from two briefcases to get the unlock and launch authorization codes. Others say all three have to confirm.
This means that nobody in Russia has the sole power to launch nuclear weapons. The US has a similar system in place.
So what are Russia’s strike options? In case of a launch on warning, the Integrated Space System (EKS) and the Early Warning System detect a massive launch of ICBMs from US territories and submarine-launched ballistic missiles and calculate target locations inside Russia and their flight time.
The Russian president receives warning of a missile strike. The Russian leadership makes the decision on a launch on warning. Ground, air, and submarine-launched missiles are unlocked with a code, and in 7-9 minutes there will be a massive launch of strategic nuclear weapons from Russia and the adjacent seas. Time is needed to perform these operations.
In case of a retaliatory strike, the scenario is roughly the same, with the exception that the warheads have already struck Russian territory and the systems have registered nuclear explosions.
The worst case scenario in a nuclear strike is decapitating the country’s top executive and military command chains, death of the country’s political and military leaders and inability to issue orders to launch a nuclear attack.
This could happen, for instance, in case of a Prompt Global Strike that would seek to paralyze the nation’s political and military chain of command and destroy military and political leaders.
This is when the Perimeter (or its modern-day namesake) steps in and makes sure the retaliatory strike is completed in full even in the worst case scenario. There is only tentative data on the Perimeter system, aka the Dead Hand. It is believed that it consists of command posts, command ballistic missiles, receivers and an autonomous control and command system (these names are highly speculative).
Following the decision by the Perimeter system to use strategic nuclear weapons (a decision by what is effectively computer intelligence), a command missile (or missiles) is launched. The head of the missile carries a transmitter that sends a signal to all nuclear arms with special receivers to be launched. ICBMs and submarine-launched missiles are launched .
US’ ultimate goal is to strip Russia of its nukes
The decision to carry out a retaliatory strike is taken by the Perimeter system based on multiple sensors across the country, including those measuring seismic, radiation data, and atmospheric pressure that can indicate that a nuclear explosion has taken place. Even in peaceful times, the system can detect where a nuclear device was detonated with almost 100 percent accuracy.
The Dead Hand description I have provided is a highly speculative and far from how the real mechanism operates.
Finally, the last option envisages a pre-emptive nuclear strike. Under the military doctrine, “Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons as a response in case it and/or its allies become the target of an attack by nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction as well as in the case of aggression against Russia involving conventional weapons that puts Russia’s very existence is under threat.”
Any of the nuclear strike options would mean disaster both for the parties involved and other nations around the world. ‘Nuclear winter’ would set in a short while after the nuclear exchange, which would endanger the lives of those few who would survive the nuclear Armageddon.
By Mikhail Khodarenok, military commentator for Gazeta.ru
“America’s disrespect of the INF treaty and other bilateral agreements gives Russia every right to withdraw from the 1867 deal on handing Alaska over to the US and demand the return of the land, historian Nikolay Starikov said.”
I agree in fact in everything Starikov says. The guy is damn intelligent. Like we always think people who have the same opinion must be and are extremely intelligent people ;-D.
People are listening, but nobody believes Russia. They think the Kremlin will just cover up attacks or create a non-threatening explanation for what happened.
They think this because the Russian economy is so small and dependent upon foreign sales and technologies. In addition, they think that the economic and financial elite are more allies of the West than Russia itself.
If Russia wants to be believed, all that would be required is action, not words. As a corollary, you have to negotiate from a position of strength. As an example, take the Ukraine. What is it that Moscow can do to hurt the West there, and what can she offer? Other than giving the Crimea back or trading the Ukraine for Syria, nothing of substance. You can’t complain when you have no cards in the poker game.
For the West to be hurt by something done to Ukraine, first the West must have at least a sliver of care about what happens to Ukraine, they don’t.So you’re correct in saying Russia can’t do anything in Ukraine to hurt the West.To hurt an entity like the West, that cares only about itself, you must hit the target directly. And isn’t poker a game of deceit, instead of substance?
Why would a country the size(and with the natural resources) of Russia be dependent on foreign sales?
That would be true if Putin and his allies had made a serious effort to modernize and industrialize. Instead, they have a neo-colonial economy, which was the easier path, and one that avoided an internal fight amongst the elites. Keeping pro-Western and pro-Russian elites from a civil war has been a serious accomplishment.
On the downside, though, without selling all those natural resources to foreigners, it would be impossible to get so many of the specialized products that make the modern world work. North Korea has great natural resources, but that is not the direction the Kremlin wanted to head.
You have a really accurate conceptual map of reality about Russia. Wink! Wink! You forgot to mention that Russia is a gas station masquerading as a country and that your first name is John and your last name is McCain.
During Vietnam, an American officer said “we had to destroy the village in order to save it”.
Now, we are constantly bombarded by western voices that say that Russia and China have to destroy the world in order to prove they are not weak and that this is the only way to save the world.
I just hope someone in Russia or China is smarter than these western voices that constantly want to destroy everything to save it.
“I just hope someone in Russia or China is smarter than these western voices that constantly want to destroy everything to save it.”
There are such folks here, from in Kremlin to the narrow streets of the smallest village.
Germany will back extension of sanctions against Russia-Merkel.
The NSA/CIA/MI6 complex must have a pretty ”good dossier” on Merkel for being able to blackmail her now for 4 years?
Germany already lost +- 85/100 billions in sanctions. The UE more than 150.
Russia only0.4% of her GDP.
Top General Fears War With China and Russia at the Same Time.
As an Eastern German citizen I know about this. Merkel was a full-blown apparatschik before, very likely recruited into Stasi as informant “Erika”. That’s basically the explanation for her entire behaviour:
a) she has the proper mindset, as in licking the arses of the powerful and enjoying such a hierarchy
b) if she had stepped out of line, her Stasi past would have been made public and in Germany that was (probably is to a lesser degree) political suicide
All about her is artificial and briefed by other minds.
Same really for any western politician that makes it to the top of their local dog pile.
The one thing that is obvious is that they are not in charge, and only do what others tell them to do.
So true, those now aspiring as chairmen of the party all have their heads shoulder deep in US-asses, and honestly, anything else would surprise me with no end…, the one who controls Germany, controls (continental)Europe.
Unless your implication is that Merkel gets help via control files provided by her operators, she appears to have been smarter by far–way more politically astute–than any other politician in Germany.
Post on sputnik today…even at the moment 1 in 5 German citizens are on the edge of poverty….only just getting by…..sounds like the USA….news talk of huge refugee convoys heading up from Croatia as in Mexico too…..
Someone ought to show the Americans images of destroyed cities of Iraq,Libya,Syria and tell them this is what American cities will look like if Washington decides to start a war with Russia or China.
Are the Americans so delusional that they think they can fight a war with either of these nations without Russian or Chinese boots ending up on American soil?
In case of WWIII, the US would be destroyed but it would not be invaded. There is simply not enough of value to loot there. Even less after the fact.
In contrast, because of its vast natural resources, Russia is very much a target for invasion.
How to strike the perpetrators and commanders of the future war into their hearts? My humble suggestion would be to turn white-collar crime centers into ashes. Tax evasion combined with insider trading makes for a toxic legacy that requires secret bookkeeping. This makes it all the more easy to burn it out without leaving a trace.
The goal of invading the USA, in the scenario we’re talking about, won’t be to loot or plunder, but to prevent the USA from regrouping and attacking again.
For how many years would you forestall regrouping? 10, 20, 50 or forever? A decade or two needs a dozen megatons; forever still only a fraction of the available arsenal.
However, as written earlier, large scale destruction of modern infrastructure results most likely in many simultaneous nuclear disasters at power plants that go out of control. This outcome will pretty much doom the biosphere. If – and that is a big if – it becomes necessary to crush NATO in a hot war, there is not much value in refraining from leveling it because the ultimate outcome will be the same.
Marcel, exactly. The Japanese Fukushima comes to mind.
As, a small comment I’ll say this: One day I went to buy some fish, I looked at salmon whose label did not say where it came from, wild or farmed. I asked the Chinese fellow, who was bringing in the fish: Do you where is this fish from? I said, I do not want farmed fish or from Pacific. His instant reaction was: “Fukushima?”
as soon as EU Minions accept or refuse taking US missiles on their soil, we’ll soon find out.
I have no ilussions on central europe minions, and very little on western Europe either, though our toy-boy president Marcon said he was against it (the perspective of a new SS-20 crisis)….
As long as China and Russia have not attacked anything Western yet, there is in Western point of view a long long way to Tipperary.
American jobs are running high, European population are fat on QE and pension schemes, so everybody are living the sweet life. What goes around comes around.
All right, if someone China, Russia, Iran one day responds to the endless provocations, so what? New dialogues, new media fake campaigns, new empty Western punches in the air and West just continues the provocations until the next punch, laughing the whole way down to the bank.
I dont think even if Russia made Warzawa to a dusthole, bombed an American base in Romania or Iran closed the Hormuz strait, no one in West would really notice it. Its too long away. We in the West still have our money and sweet life, so be it.
As RT highlighted in its coverage of Mattis’s talk, when asked about the nascent US ‘Space Force’, Mattis explained that dominance in space is essential for preserving the American way of life. And in order to counter geopolitical rivals who might abuse their own space superiority, the Pentagon must pursue the development and deployment of space weapons.
“We’re going to have to be prepared to use offensive weapons in space should someone decide to militarize it and go on the offensive. You cannot simply play defense. No sport in the world, no competitive sport in the world, can simply play defense and win. And this is not an area where we want to be second place.”
Come, come. Let’s not pretend to be outraged. Or even surprised. If the US chooses immolation they will be acting like most empires except, significantly, the Chinese and, more recently, the Russian.
Most empires chose to destroy themselves and to liquidate their foreign holdings rather than abandon the delusions of grandeur that got them into the jam in the first place–usually as a result of having more money and less moral maturity than anyone else. Sound judgement, cost-benefit have nothing to do with it.
In 1936 the Japanese General Staff, at the request of the Diet or whatever it was then, described the course of WWII and Japan’s inevitable defeat. Frame by frame. And you know what Prince Kohohe or whatever said? “Maybe we’ll get lucky” and declared war because the Prince and his kin didn’t fancy losing their godlike power over their little island. We can all relate, I’m sure.
If you were losing God-like power and private jets and warship launches that your forebears have enjoyed for 250 years, wouldn’t you put up a fight? That’s what elites do. They fight for the preservation of their (largely inherited and unearned) class which I, like you, long to join and meet Prince William in the Bahamas and cheat on my taxes through a wormhole in the City of London. Hasten the day.
Mind you, the decision makers themselves will not be doing any self-immolating. They will be taking the waters in the Swiss Alps, at La Therm, waiting out the die-off (of us) from their bolt-holes.
Unless Russia and China can pull some judo/tai-chi moves pretty soon–and I’m betting they can because their track record is excellent–we’re officially fucked.
P.S. Sometime this month, China will sign off on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, RCEP. It’s a multilateral FTA between the 10 ASEAN members and their 6 dialogue partners, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The 16 countries together have close to half of the world population, and boast an aggregate nominal GDP representing four-tenths of the global GDP, or one-third larger than that of NAFTA and growing twice as fast.
Our elite is behaving normally. If we peons survive it will be thanks to some smart Russo-Chinese moves.
The problem with your analysis is that Japan didnt want WW2, it was pushed into it by the Roosevelt admin ( I hate fascism and Nazism btw) I recommend reading Gods of Money by William Engdahl or even The unneccesary war by Pat Buchanan. The Anglo-American imperialists pushed Japan out of their club after WW1, hoping to claim her Empire for themselves. Trump follows in their footsteps, the arrogant Eastern Establisment bellowing orders to the lesser beings of the world and being at a genuine loss when nations like Russia and China dont comply. De dollarization will obviously yield greater benefits then war, which is precisely why Washington might gamble with war. It simply cannot compete even in its own rigged game anymore
Great article by Saker.
I disagree with one point, that the USA leadership is incapable of stopping the war path.
For a long time, I was under the impression that all USA politicians gather in a room without light, and receive their instructions how to run the world from the darkness itself. I thought they were all the same, these politicians.
The past 2 years of the Trump circus have changed my mind. There is no real democracy in the USA, ordinary citizens are irrelevant. However, the leadership of the USA is not united anymore.
The centers of power in the USA are split into 3 major groups.
Jesuites – Vatican’s agents.
International Jewry – bankers and other businessmen who have made massive fortunes in the USA during the last 50-100 years. I like to call them “new money.”
WASPS – descendants of conquerors of N. America and all subsequent immigrants who look like them and worship like them. I like to call them “old money.”
Over time, all 3 groups have expanded and now accept diversity. People don’t have to look like wasps so long as they have the same ideology.
WASPS treasure the heartland more than anything, the continetal USA.
The Jesuites and the Jewry have no real allegience to the heartland. They only care about the empire. That is why they are willing to sacrifice the USA for their end goals.
WASPS were willing to play along since it seemed like the empire would make them undisputed rulers of the world. After all, it would be them as the rulers, not some Jew or Jesuite, who just seemed like useful tools with some fresh ideas. Hence the sacrifice of the American people to the wars, MIC, harsh capitalism, GMOs and pharmaceutical poisons, etc.
The most important thing to all 3 groups is a bit different, their wellbeing and money being prime to wasps and ideology to other 2. However, in pursuit of money and power, the Jesuites and the Jewry have no qualms about sacrificing the entire country, the USA, including its WASPS. After all, they have plenty more countries to call their own. Not the wasps.
Hence the election of Trump. How does a person with no political experience whatsoever become the leader of the most powerful country in the world? Because Trump is the representative of an extremely powerful group of people who feel threatened.
It seems to me that the Jesuites and the Jewry have come to think that they are undisputed rulers of the USA. So much so, that they feel it is the right time to bury any remnants of the WASP power. This behavior is obvious. The rise of SJWs and the demonization of white men in particular stands out as the most obvious example.
The destruction of society’s physical and mental health through drugs (legal and illegal), poisoned food and water, poisoned air, pornography, etc. is another less obvious example. They call these things freedoms. After all, when the Jesiutes and the Jewry got to work on all these freedoms in the 1950s, the only people in the USA who’d be affected are WASPS and descendants of Africans, neither group belonging to either Jewry or the Jesuites.
The biggest problem the 2 groups caused for the WASPS is even worse. Saker talked about it many times. It is the destruction of American military through theft that has never been seen before and will remain unmatched for all of history. Since the USA won the cold war in 1990, how many trillions were spent on “defense” and what has that brought to the USA?
Countless trillions stolen, while USA is beginning to lag behind Russia and China in development of advanced tech. That’s the jist of it.
We can go on forever describing all of various ways that the USA has been robbed.
To me, it seems like the WASPS finally came to their senses. The people whom they considered servants, Jesuites and Jewry, have turned on them and want to eliminate them. The situation is critical. The heartland is suffering for the goals of the empire.
WASPS will not sacrifice the heartland; in fact they are very ready to sacrifice the empire so that they remain undisputed rulers of the heartland. The heartland isn’t big enough for all 3 groups, not even 2 of them.
I don’t believe in some fair electoral democratic process in the USA. I don’t know how the wasps did it, but they pushed through their man into presidency against hysterical screaming from everywhere else. Trump is president so that the country can change course and focus on rebuilding the pillaged heartland.
As is obvious to all of us, the Jewry and the Jesuites disagree. It seems they went too far in attacking wasps, because wasps are now pushing back across the spectrump.
The uncontrolled flow of migrants from Catholic S. American countries will end. Blow to the Jesuites.
White man starts fighting back against demonization. Blow to the Jewry.
The whole country starts shifting toward conservative principles – against abortion, homosexuality and alike, toward strong domestic politics of manufacturing and security. Blow to both the Jewry and the Jesuites.
Do not mistake any of these measures as helping the American people intentionally. The people remain sacrificial pawns. The policies are meant to help the ruling wasp elite.
The Jewry and the Jesuites are not taking it and are seriously fighting back.
Scott, Saker’s main guy, wrote an investigative article about the people running the Russia collusion investigstion. Mueller, Strzok, and others. The conclusion was that most, if not all, of them are of Polish or otherwise central/eastern European heritage.
My conclusion – from Catholic places. The playgrounds of Jesuites.
Mueller and his team are agents of the Vatican.
I have no idea how this circus will end.
I am of the opinion that there is a difference between the wasps and the other 2 groups.
The Jewry consider themselves the children of god (I will not capitalize as I consider their god to be satan). This thinking supercedes rationality and compassion. They are divine in their minds, and we are animals to them. So they behave accordingly. This kind of state of mind can produce individuals perfectly willing to blow up the entire world for one reason or another.
The Jesuites might be even worse. According their ideology, the pope is on Earth what God is in heavens. Well, God is God in heavens, so this would make the pope god of this world. This has nothing to do with Christianity and seems to be the continuation of the old Roman empire tradition where the Emperor was considered a living god. (Before Emperor Constantine, of course)
Again, thinking themselves gods, I can imagine that the Jesuites are perfectly capable of blowing up the planet.
The wasps seem to be the least of 3 evils. They also seem to care about money more than ideology, so it is possible to negotiate with this group. Negotiate in a sense that they understand what a Russian nuclear weapons attack on the heartland would mean.
This group was perfectly willing to build an empire and crusade around the world so long as it reaped them benefits. However, the empire in its current state no longer has any benefits for the heartland. It has become a massive drain on the heartland.
The wasps will do what they have to in order to ensure their primacy, with or without the empire. The Jesuites and the Jewry will fight for the empire until the end.
We are watching this battle play out before our eyes, with its many nuances. We are watching various members of all 3 groups shift allegiances to suit their personal goals.
There is hope. I don’t hope that the USA will become a beacon of righteousness, it will not happen. I hope that people will prevail who care about their own welness and not an apocalyptic ideology. And that those people will stop the war path.
PHOENIX, Aug 4, 1997 – A book by a former high-ranking U.S. military intelligence officer and a Columbia University historian covers the Zionist/Communist infiltration and subversion of America. It begins with early history of the Jews and ends in 1952…
@most, if not all, of them are of Polish or otherwise central/eastern European heritage
To be more precise, of Jewish Polish or otherwise ‘central/eastern European.
@FromSerbia – Good food for thoughts, probably not so far from reality, your logic is interesting. Thank you.
Excellent thoughts, FromSerbia.
It is a relief to hear someone discuss a few of the colors rather than just black and white. I have reached similar conclusions. It should be obvious to anyone that all is not well among the elite. An interesting peek inside this internecine war was provided by a guy named Steve Piecznik during the 2016 election and since. He outright said that a group he was part of was engineering the Trump win to take back the country.
The good guys vs bad guys narrative that most ascribe to even here is far too one dimensional and does not explain the ongoing struggles in the US. However, it is also good to note that the groups are not completely distinct. Trump is clearly connected to Israel through his daughter and son in law.
There is simple game theory behind all this. Minority groups are highly motivated to cooperate against the majority when their power is limited. Goals that are far enough in the future can be conflated by these diverse groups. As the groups perceive that they are nearing their goals, distinct self interests begin to reveal themselves. That’s where we are now.
The groups behind Hillary were so completely sure of their power that they were thoroughly shocked to lose. They continue to fight Trump through the media, Mueller, etc. Trump’s basic interests are the closest to the US population’s (e.g. His initial instinct to look for mutual interests with Russia). However, he is being attacked rom all sides and his goals are now muddled.
You are very nearly there. Keep up the digging.
One problem is Trump’s collusion with Israel and Netanyahu that did 911.
Trump was also forgiven $1 billion in PERSONAL debt to Rothschild through Rothschild agent Wilbur Ross.
Here is a 5 part investigation on Trump and Mossad.

As Leonard Cohen boasted…the future is murder.
Why does Trump accelerate greenhouse emissions.?
Is it because the future they have planned includes a short 3 year nuclear winter in the temperate zones.? Is heating up the bio-geo-sphere now a post nuclear apocalypse survival strategy.? Is it Eurasia’s fate under this plan to freeze to death for decades.?
I think the Gospel of John gives a clue with its Pythagorean 153 fish. The clue unlocks the other Pythagorean number found in the good book…the number 666. Each of these numbers represents the sum of a respective Pythagorean triangle.
666 means triangle. A man’s name which means triangle…would be Gore…look it up.
Interestingly, gore also means…the horn of a beast…as in…”he was gored by a bull”…and it means the blood a viscera of murder.
But think on this well read friend…would have it “that no man may buy or sell except he who has the mark (signifier) of the “non specified lifeform”…ie…carbon.
A man’s name…and that names sum is 666.
Considering the mayhem of relatively miniscule event of 911 and level of incapacitation it caused to the continent one can reasonably predict what even limited retaliatory thermonuclear attack would result in.
Don’t throw rocks when you live in glass castle!
A war against Russia/China needs political support from the US public. At the moment there isn’t much, even though the efforts at demonising Russia has continued for quite a while.
In the absence of political support the only way to have this war is to have a massive false flag leading to an immediate US strike. This will lead to a fait accompli and it will be easier to get the required political support.
I don’t see it happening.
As things stand, the Empire will end with a whimper, not a bang.
Powerful piece. Is there now no way through this mess other than kinetic war?
Sometimes, the only thing a bully understands is a sound punch in the nose,,
Very fine text by The Saker. This seems effectively to be the central question, today. It is obvious that the people in the United States is not (yet) prepared to become an ordinary people and this, together with the great military power of the United States, is the basis of the danger of a great war.
It is also my experience that the people in the West continue to behave as if there are no changes in the world. Syrian’s president Assad pointed to this fact when, on 1 November, he said to a Polish delegation that “one of the biggest mistakes made by many European countries is separation from reality” (cited from SANA).
However, I remain slightly optimistic. The first try of Trump for a war around North Korea
failed; with the possible exception of Japan, no country in the region wanted a war and the result was a rapprochement of the two Koreas. The provocations of the United States in the Taiwan question and in the South China Sea will certainly continue, but there is no reason to expect that this will have more success in the region.
Actually, Trump tries to push towards a war in the Middle East with his aggressive politics against Iran. This try is not yet clearly rejected, but the situation looks not very much in favour of Trump. The Kashoggi case is a manifest sign of this.
As I see it today, starting a great war in another region than East Asia and the Middle East is
highly improbable. As long as there is not a major change inside Russia; but this also looks not very plausible.
These are the reasons for my cautious optimism.
The need for war stems from the way Elites view Economics.
Those in power in US and UK arrange World Wars for Economic reasons.
Many of the same conditions of the US-EU economy that marked the “necessity” for World Wars in the past are forces that push the Hegemon again.
There is no competing ideology like with the 72 years of the USSR.
The torment for the US hegemony is Russia and China acting on their own to re-shape global relationships and to develop the Eurasian market. These are forbidden by the Elites’ ideology for the Planet and Humanity.
A Feudal system (Liberalism) must have poverty, serfs and vassal states. It cannot have multi-polarity power centers, competitive systems, progress for all, and parity among peoples.
The rise of China has gone to far (according to the Liberal Elites) and Russia is too strong and independent (according to neo-cons).
War is the historic solution. How to launch a world war is the stumbling block. There is no attacking either Russia and China without losing everything, and trying to separate the Double Helix is not going to happen. Both China and Russia know, if one goes down, the other will be destroyed with the next breath of the Hegemon.
So far, the proxy wars have not been large enough. Even the dream of a Ukrainian war (throw in Georgia and some other fools near the Black Sea) would not work. Russia can destroy all of them with one hand tied behind its back.
Iran? Not hardly.
Where, oh where shall the WW3 begin and unfold?
The Baltics? Days long and the three midgets are gone.
The terrified Scandinavians? They are not that stupid.
Africa–North Africa? The stakes there are held by only one side. Djibouti, Egypt and CAR are of little value for Russia and/or China. Certainly, the logistics are preposterous for a WW.
Arctic? Here’s gold. It is stake-claimed by Russia and the rumblings for war are growing. The US would have its vassals alongside. Drones, subs, missiles and bombers could rage on for months and months.
Keep an eye on the Arctic to be where something is triggered. All the combatants are stakeholders there. And the US is desperate because it has the fewest military assets capable of fighting there for the turf and warming naval routes as the ice melts. The Danes, the Canadians, and NATO are available and willing to go all in over what they now see as a “threat”. The Economic Value of the transit routes, the gas and oil, and the strategic position of the Arctic are perfect for a theatre of war.
Thanks; interesting remarks concerning the Arctic.
“The Danes, the Canadians, and NATO are available and willing to go all in . . .”
What do they add to the mix?
Access to the Arctic… Canada, Denmark (Greenland), Norway (Svalbard) etc.
I still think that the most vulnerable geographical site to attack Russia militarily, is still Ukraine, and that by conventional means. Neither side would use nuclear weapons. The only thing which postpones the decision is the ambiguity of European leaders, which translates into fear, because they know that US will abandon them on the battlefield Europe after a certain time and certain conditions. While the wars have been waged for not just political but economical reasons, the task (and strategical target) of the main aggressor would be the economical weakening of its adversary and not the defeat (which, by the way, US and NATO knows very well that Russia cannot be defeated, that would risk a nuclear annihilation of all – which they don’t want). Then peace could be restored and a new paradigm can be introduced. The biggest danger are those with their Armageddon interpretation, acting in power structures.
Maybe South América?
It is interesting that in the UK press things have gone largely quiet, occasional immature sniping goes on daily of course, but nothing was reported about Putins recent statement of worldly obliteration should red lines be crossed, this surprised me. Perhaps it was just too close to the bone for the MSM or MI6/foreign office who decide what goes into the main UK papers, perhaps such frank talk must be kept from the British public in case they should rightly start to get a little jittery and start to question the idiocy and arrogance (not to mention incompetence) of the ruling elites. Perhaps behind closed doors the English are trying to smooth things out after the Salisbury incident, after all they are going to need trade with Russia once brexit becomes reality and the ship begins to sink a little faster. Either way the British people remain largely ignorant and easily manipulated when it comes to issues concerning Russia.
The deep state in the UK was started by Cecil Rhodes, Alfred Milner, and others during the Boer Wars when they got British soldiers to fight and die so that Rhodes could get more gold mines. They bypassed the democratic process by making secret deals with France (Poincaré) and Russia. They promised France Alsace-Lorraine and Russia the Dardanelles to join in a war with Germany. They lit the fuse in the Balkans including the Sarajevo assassination and tricked the Czar into mobilizing. Churchill, a member, agreed to protect France’s Atlantic coast, so France could focus on the Mediterranean. Germany was the last to mobilize, because they did not want to fight on 2 fronts. Why didn’t the British rebel against these traitors who cause the murder of so many of their soldiers and others? Herbert Hoover, a ruthless mining engineer who worked for the Rothschilds, became a high government official who was in charge of food relief for Europe after WW1. In exchange for the food he took in most of the governments’ records regarding the start of WW1 and had trainloads of the documents securely store at a college in Califormia (Standford?), That was how they changed the history books.
The situation described in the above article can be summarized in the following way. There are just too many drunk drivers speeding on the highway ( to war ) so the probability that there would be no deadly accident is very small no matter how many very good, prudent, experienced drivers are using the same highway at the same time.
Excellent essay Saker! Your final comment about the need for Russia and China to push back hard against the Empire now is right on. The US is like a spoiled child on a rampage. The adults present need to show some real firmness now – there is no time to waste placating the “West” at this point, some stern lessons must be delivered by deeds, not words.
Is such a stance risky? Yes, but more vacillating is riskier.
My feeling is that the Anglo-zionists got a real punch in the nose in Syria (and Crimea).
They are probably regrouping now, and might want to ‘double-down”. Putin’s cautious strategy (wait for them to move and beat them = judo) still seems to me to be the best strategy for the world, as I have the feeling that Russians still have the means to efficiently counterpunch the empire without triggering a global.nuclear war.
May be later, if Trump is really cornered and impotent.
“not necessarily insane. And for that reason, I don’t think that the AngloZionist leaders will stumble into a war against Russia as a result of their insanity”
The driving force of the AngloZionist leaders is ideology, not insanity. Insanity is the by-product of the ideology. An ideology is a construct of rational insanity. The stronger the ideology, the broader its goals, the stricter its rules, the more insane the affect.
Insanity refers to behavior, abnormal behavior. AngloZionism is a cult whose behavior is insane. The core of the geopolitical component of AngloZionism is Russophobia and Hegemony, as well as Satanic beliefs and practices. The AZ obsession to destroy Orthodox Christianity is an imperative of the ideology.
“They seem to have fully internalized the German aphorism “wenn es mit Gewalt nicht geht, dann geht es mit mehr Gewalt!” (if violence can’t fix it, then even more violence will.”
Indeed. More violence serves the hegemonic hold over vast regions. Chaos prevents cohesive resistance and response to the hegemony imposed on the regions of war. Thus, the marching orders are always “more violence”. It is the mission. It constitutes victory.
“the time for Russia and China to begin pushing back seriously”
China has drawn the line with Taiwan for certain. There will be war if the US continues to leverage Taiwan away from China.
Less certain is how China will defend its claims to the South China Sea. Last week, an important step was taken with ASEAN nations. And even joint naval exercises with ASEAN nations was proceeding. If China can find a way to share the oil, gas and fish in the SCS, the crisis with its neighbors will end. However, the US Navy insists on dominance on the sea.
China has missiles and asymmetrical warfare to deal with a combat situation. But the US Navy has the initiative and allies (QUAD). It is stirring Japan and its significant navy to use as bait, as proxy. Last week, Xi and Abe met and the two oversaw 40 agreements on various trade issues. But naval confrontation was not among the issues decided. In fact, Japan followed up with plans to militarize an island in the East China Sea.
It seems the US is goading China to take a first step against Japan, Taiwan and the QUAD. Any location seems to suit the Hegemon. The goal is to suck China into war. That will end the miracle of development and truncate OBOR, BRI and Eurasia Development.
For Russia, the threat of war is perpetual, real and at the cusp. Flight time of a Tomahawk inside an Aegis Ashore missile defense system is 2-3 minutes to cross into Russian territory from Romania. If Georgia or Ukraine were to be the base, the time would be seconds, not minutes. Russian radars see everything that lifts from the ground instantly. Thus, the decision to counter-strike will be no more than a minute or two. There will be no Red Phone conversation. Nukes will fly. If a wider missile launch and/or drone swarm were “sighted” by radars, all of NATO (including USA) will be counter-struck. There is no minimized targeting for a second strike. It won’t depend on whether the S-400s, S-300s and other defenses are successful. Incoming will beget the counter-strike.
On the 11th of Nov. the President of Russia and the President of the US will meet in Paris. Already, a report today indicates the talks will be on very few topics. Likely, INF. It is the destabilization of MAD that concerns the Russians.
Trump and the neo-cons want to write a new set of rules after they regain dominance from SPACE and from the edge of Russian borders. They don’t care if this leads to chaos and local conflict. It may even mean an exchange of missiles (non-nuclear) in places like Syria, the Mediterranean, the South China Sea, the Yellow Sea, the Sea of Japan, or the East China Sea. How else for the US to express its hegemonic insanity than with actual death and destruction. Any losses incurred by the US are fodder for the masses to back the policy of the Exceptional Nation and its Military.
There is one hope with Trump, a card Putin should play. Trump has always talked with apprehension about nuclear weapons and the great catastrophe of nuclear war. He has not acted on those real fears and his personal knowledge from discussions with his “brilliant uncle from MIT” who impressed upon him the catastrophic impact to the planet and all life should weapons be unleashed. It is the only topic that makes Trump think like a father and grandfather. Putin should impress upon Trump and play this card. Two men will decide all of the lives on the Planet.
The talks in Paris should not be “short” as is being reported it will be.
And the G20 (later this month in Argentina) follow up should also be deep, long, and resolute.
Russia and China will not blink. And the Hegemon is drunk with power and wildly insane with its ideology.
The rest of us should meditate and pray on Peace and solutions in the meanwhile.
Disturbing truths, but right on. The only cure for madness is sanity. But how to deter those deep in delusion? Must give us pause. Time for meditation, prayer, and new ideas and initiatives. There is an overriding spiritual dimension to our problems, which of course the crazies are ignoring, or misunderstanding.
Good points but what if Russia took the first step towards ending this reign of western terror?
“Flight time of a Tomahawk inside an Aegis Ashore missile defense system is 2-3 minutes to cross into Russian territory from Romania.”
Yes, and there are certainly people who’d try a first strike on Russia.
Awareness of this might help explain why Russia is developing anti satellite weapons.
I do wonder what the US forces would look like without their satellites – hundreds of floundering beached whales stranded blind and deaf across the planet?
“Military expert Konstantin Sivkov said “Russia has made leaps and bounds in the development of space weapons, and weapons that can reach space. The S-500 for example, can reach those objects in near earth orbit which we casually refer to as ‘space’.”
“It is necessary to down the satellites that carry out spying missions in our territory before the beginning of military actions, as well as the satellites that provide navigation data for the enemy troops in our territory and near our borders”, explained the analyst, highlighting the importance of this weaponry, which victory in modern conflicts will be “impossible” without.”
Note that Sivkov says it is necessary to bring down US satellites before the beginning of military actions suggesting that that’s the first thing Russia will do.
So maybe the first sign of a war would be your phone/ipad going down followed by a rapid collapse of US military capability.
Speculation, I know but with the interest on US debt costing more than their military budget . .
“The federal government could soon pay more in interest on its debt than it spends on the military, Medicaid or children’s programs.
The run-up in borrowing costs is a one-two punch brought on by the need to finance a fast-growing budget deficit, worsened by tax cuts and steadily rising interest rates that will make the debt more expensive.
With less money coming in and more going toward interest, political leaders will find it harder to address pressing needs like fixing crumbling roads and bridges or to make emergency moves like pulling the economy out of future recessions.”
. . .and the tide definitely running out for the empire which lurches from one stupid thing to another . . .
“US threatens to smack SWIFT with sanctions if it fails to cut off financial services to Iran ”
“Russia’s alternative to SWIFT payment system poised to eclipse the original – MP”
. . it may be that whilst the US loves to bluster and threaten, their tenth rate military ( as Andrei Martynov describes in his book) and the superior and focussed Russian/Chinese efforts could prevail and we won’t all get killed after all.
However I do recognise that this would require a first pre-emptive strike by Russia on the satellites and that is the Rubicon they will naturally hesitate to cross.
Such a pre-emptive strike though might be their best option if they see logistical moves by the US indicating an imminent attack on Russia.
“It is when a mosquito lands on your balls that you get to understand that not all problems can be solved by violence” old saying from southern France, to meditate with a bit of optimism.
The US regime – and the Rothschild’s financial City of London ( not to be confused with London the city. The financial City of London is a separate entity of a square mile buried inside London with it’s own laws and police force and is the HQ for the Rothschild banking cartel ) – is being driven to a frenzy by the increasing moves by a growing group of undefeatable countries to dump the dollar in trade payments and the inevitable loss of it’s reserve currency status. This is the bottom line.
We have seen how the Rothschild Zionist banking cabal supported by US militarism has been able to destroy countries’ economies by restricting their ability to function financially.
To the west’s horror Russia did not cave in but instead set about devising a bypass of the dollar and since then many other countries are now doing the same, albeit with a little difficulty. One might argue that the eruption of western belligerence and sanctions on Russia was a good thing in that it woke them up to two hard facts –
1) The west will never accept Russia as a “partner” The west wants to destroy Russia and plunder it’s fabulous treasure trove of resources.
2) Russia needed to develop it’s own import substitute programme which as it turned out has been massively beneficial to the country.
The Chinese too who are massively against war (what normal person isn’t?) and have been forced into recognising the war threat from the US now “get it”.
Far worse would have been if the US had “soft soaped” China with sweet promises leaving Russia alone and surrounded.
I think it’s safe to assume that in any war, China and Russia will fight side by side since apart from anything else the destruction of one of them would likely lead to the destruction of the other .
But as the dollar is replaced in world trade this process being paradoxically helped along by US sanctions, far from looking like a world power, the USA ad the EU are facing an imminent collapse of their debt saturated Zionist banks and complete meltdown.
Russia, China and Iran need to insulate themselves from this collapse as much as possible. China’s massive BRI project can be seen as an effort to create new customers for it’s production for the time when due to the collapse in value of the fiat US dollar, American consumption dwindles.
This is the danger point because the west might well just “kick over the board” and blow everything up whilst the top cabal figures reckon they can survive in underground bunkers.
I think that the Chinese and Russian leaderships must be considering that if they can avoid war for a bit longer the US will implode anyway.
I read a few months ago a top Russian military man saying that Russia could take down the US without using nuclear weapons.
I can’t find the source now but I wonder if that is what the Saker had in mind with reference to his final remark
“This might be the time for Russia and China to begin pushing back seriously. Everything else has failed, at least so far.”
If a non nuclear victory could be achieved then might not the time be approaching when the Russians will just go for it and take them out once and for all?
An old report re USA developing “clean” weapons I suppose you could call them but I suppose the end result is the same…messy….now where was that report I had also previously posted coupla years ago Russia has one giant EMW weapon ready fo explode over north America….I suppose a new hypersonic missile would get it there in a few short minutes……
You: “the USA ad the EU are facing an imminent collapse of their debt saturated Zionist banks and complete meltdown.”
The Saker: “This might be the time for Russia and China to begin pushing back seriously. Everything else has failed, at least so far.” [emphasis added]
You: “I think that the Chinese and Russian leaderships must be considering that if they can avoid war for a bit longer the US will implode anyway.”
You are right, and the real empire-take down is financial (as are the empire’s current weapon of choice): its pension systems, a real eye-glazer of an issue, will devastate the empire’s finances as interest rates are raised, which must necessarily be raised to keep pension systems solvent, as e.g.10,000 people daily turn 65 in the US.

As Visual Capitalist’s Jeff Desjardins notes, The WEF says the deficit is growing by $28 billion every 24 hours – and if nothing is done to slow the growth rate, the deficit will reach $400 trillion by 2050, or about five times the size of the global economy today.
The group of economies studied: Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Japan, India, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
We just need to buy extra time.
All the empires of the past collapsed because of the massive amounts of money they put into the military, at the expense of civil life and the manufacture of the things that make that civil life possible. The US military budget is totally out of control and continues to grow, while the growing debt of the US is sapping the ability of America to rebuild the country’s civil infrastructure. The US is falling apart from within, and the money for taking care of its people is being reduced continually. Look at the huge tax cuts from a few months ago; this will benefit corporations and the rich mostly, and already their politicians are talking about cutting social services such as medicare to pay for it.
Look at the great book by Paul Kennedy, “The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers” for a more detailed discussion on these ideas.
During the past month, I posted two reports about the state of the Outlaw US Empire’s military capabilities written by domestic appraisers that were very critical, https://www.heritage.org/military-strength and https://southfront.org/why-the-u-s-military-is-woefully-unprepared-for-a-major-conventional-conflict/ Both concluded that the Empire cannot win a conventional conflict with either Russia or China, and perhaps not even Iran given its current inability to project force as was once the case–the state of the US Navy is abysmal particularly its carrier air wings thanks to MIC corruption. The politicos Saker mentions may not be aware of that woeful state-of-affairs, but Pentagon Brass surely are–Sure a few destroyers can be sent to traverse the Taiwan Straits but no carrier groups will be deployed anywhere near Taiwan as they’ll be sunk–that is if they’re even capable of putting to sea! I’m not joking; read the linked reports and judge for yourself.
IMO, the Outlaw US Empire has already lost the Heartland, although it seems to have recovered the boot it has on Latin America’s neck for the present. Otherwise, it’s in retreat most everywhere as this major agreement between China and Japan illustrates, https://eurasiafuture.com/2018/10/26/china-and-japan-ink-major-agreements-as-historic-hostility-gives-way-to-win-win-cooperation/
IMO, America was never “Great,” so it’s impossible for it to become “Great Again.” Instead when one looks closely at the domestic policy goals of the Duopoly, America’s being driven into the dustbin as it attacks its own citizenry–yet again it ought to be added–as the attempt’s being made to turn the clock back to the 1920s in many respects. Yes, that coincides with the rise of Fascism in Asia and Europe.
The US military and outfits like the Heritage foundation regularly produce reports about the sorry state of the US military. These are not to be taken at face value, but instead should be seen as ammunition in the most important battle that the US military fights every year. That battle is the battle to steal as much taxpayer money as possible and to make sure the military budgets only go up, up, up.
Thus, ever since Reagan ran the same scam (and before really, if one remembers a fictional Missile Gap), the taxpayers are regularly told of the awful state of the US military and that if much more money is not thrown at the military then we are all doomed, doomed I say, doomed.
There are a group of people who get very, very rich from the American war machine and its constant demands for more and more money. That is the real driving force behind what the Saker accurately describes. They of course need a fictional enemy to be a big threat that requires more and more money to “defend” against. The problem is of course that this can very easily get out of control and lead to the destruction of the world, especially in an era when a rising power like China is going to naturally overtake the Americans.
I see you didn’t read anything from either report; rather, you just jibber-jabbered from the top of your head. BOTH reports talk very critically about the corruption that creates the woeful state of the Outlaw US Empire’s military. Indeed, both essentially announce that corruption is THE #1 enemy. Outlaw US Empire was better equipped and trained for combat during the 1980s when I served than now, which means the nuclear triad will be the default instead of conventional forces–a point Saker has made again and again.
Where exactly does the Heritage report mention “corruption”? Assuming you mean corruption of the US military. I see quotes such as:
As reported in all previous editions of the Index, the common theme across the services and the U.S. nuclear enterprise is one of force degradation resulting from many years of underinvestment, poor execution of modernization programs, and the negative effects of budget sequestration (cuts in funding)
Washington is delusional, dangerous, and outrageous, no doubt about it. I do think there has been a recent positive development, however; the Trump administration is trying to negotiate an exit from Afghanistan:
They may be belatedly, after almost 20 years, recognizing that these wars are an unwinnable disaster. The White House is also calling for a cease fire in Yemen, although this may just be posturing to absolve the U.S. of blame for the famine there.
Losers don’t negotiate terms of exit. They leave.
After six months of the CIA-directed air war when the US first went in, post-9-11, the US has been losing. They have never, by any metric, been winning.
Now they want a victorious Taliban to grant them some Exceptional Exit that will be interpreted by fools and historians as a celebration of military and geopolitical prowess.
Afghans won. Theeeeeeeeeeeee Afghans won. (to paraphrase the Yankee baseball radio voice.)
The US is trying to negotiate bases to stay and stop China from building development infrastructure and economic corridors.
There is also Trillions in minerals the US is not going to leave to China to exploit.
Ten years from now, the US will still be in Afghanistan. The US are masters at torturing whole nations.
(They also have their “eyes” on North Korea’s minerals (especially rare earth minerals). So, they will have to be pushed off the Korean Peninsula).
Don’t expect a piece of paper to get rid of the Hegemon. It usually takes around 58,000 KIA to move them away.
See Korean War and Vietnam War as references of that statement.
However, a significant blast like Lebanon Marines barrack or Blackhawk Down in Somalia also worked for a temporary exit.
The U.S. is in trouble in Afghanistan and the situation is becoming worse. Is it at the point where they have to leave? I don’t know. They could be negotiating because they have gotten nowhere and are finally quitting or because they are in danger of being routed and have to quit.
Larch, you are right: last I read, it was $11T in Afghani riches, which the US needs to stay afloat with its $30T debt, which is growing daily.
Neither USA or Russia will start a nuclear war, they know its the end of humanity, and even if USA leaders are stupid their military is not. Maybe Evil, but not so stupid. But the lesser powers UK, Poland, Israel, Pakistan cetainly are highly likely. They are in a kind of position with nothing to lose.
They know USA will back them up if things become difficult. For example scheming Poland wants to do everything to stop the German-Russian alliance which is destiny since the time of the Baltic Pagan P’Rus tribe which gave its name to both Russia and Prussia. They could create some incident in Kaliningrad sea area or meddle in Kiev easily. One Polish media commenter on a forum said Poland should covertly support a Banderist Nazi coup against Poroshenko, so that it would give the Polish Army a reason to invade Ukraine and take the Lviv/Lwów region. NATO would fully support them, plus Poland has two million fighting age men coming back from UK after the brexit fascist coup there, and they have no jobs to go to. UK will collapse, as China, Russia and USA and others announced they will prevent them joining WTO already. UK will not be able to trade at all and they rely on imports for nearly all their food. When a nuclear power as violent minded as brits is put in a position of nothing to lose, it is very dangerous indeed. Then there is the israelis boasting about bombing Syria despite Russia having s400 there, because the Zionists know that USA is prepared to defend them up to the highest level. Pakistan could declare Jihad against India at any time and gain the support of the muslim world. India could never use its small Nuclear bombs because Pakistan allies China and USA would retaliate immediately. India, Russia, Germany, these must be the forces of Truth in this world.
This is one of the lessons from 1914 and the beginnings of World War 1. It is dangerous when a weaker nation is allied with a strong power. At least when the strong power does not constantly tell the weaker nation to “sit” or “heel”.
Before the guns of August, it was the Austrians who were pushing headlong for war, ignoring even the Serbian near surrender to their ultimatums, confident that thier German allies had their back. Thus came the deaths of millions of people, and the sequence that led onwards to WW2 and the deaths of tens of millions more.
Amusingly, the Poles and the Ukros have succeeded in taking this one step further. With congenital idiocy their prime national trait, they seriously yearn for utter self-destruction. Makes them feel they matter to more prominent war-mongers.
During the Cuban Missile Crises, there was a world press who viewed its job to do reporting.
The Reagan administration changed that, and the Clintons happily followed along. During the Cuban Crisis, there were democratic limits placed upon ownership of too many radio, tv and newspaper outlets. A person or corporation could only own a handful of these. Thus, most of the newspapers in America were locally and independently own, as were tv and radio stations. There were news services like AP and UPI that appeared in many of these, but it was local owners and local editors who controlled the local outlets. And there were also rules such as the Fairness Doctrine and concepts like Equal Time that put limits on their ability to tilt to one side or another. Plus, back then the two political parties in America actually represented different groups of people.
It was Reagan who removed the limits on how much of the media one person could own. Which made ‘news’ into a profit center instead of a public service. There used to be the concept of a wall between the news reporters and the business operations of a news media outlet. The news people were operating at least partially free of business concerns of the paper or station. When Reagan allowed corporations to buy up all the news outlets, this wall came tumbling down and profit, profit, profit became the only ethic allowed in the newsroom.
Today, a small handful of corporations control almost all the ‘news’ that people see. And there is obviously no journalism ethic remaining. The reporters do what the corporate bosses want, or else, which is that they lose their job and their career. The reporters who don’t jump when the corporate bosses say jump are banished off to websites where they try to reach a few people. They do this well, like the late Robert Parry at Consortium News. But they are not broadcast on the megaphones that dominate what most people hear.
Prof. Chomsky did an analysis of the media decades ago. He made the point even then that even with a “free press”, what actually came out of the free press was indistinquishable from what a propaganda system would produce. And its gotten much, mush worse since.
During the Cuban Missile Crisis, there were reporters and organizations who felt that their job was to provide information that people needed. It wasn’t perfect. The Vietnam war began shortly after with the media largely failing to dig deep behind the lies the government (Democrat) was telling. But at least there were some that tried, and while they were slow to do so, within a few years more and more of the truth was coming out. Much to the disgust to those getting rich from that war.
Sadly, I agree with every word you have said here. No, they won’t stumble into a war of unthinkable devastation. I believe they are planning on it.
I have noticed with this Russian hysteria meme, Russia meddling etc., which was started and fueled by what might be called the left has spread also to the other side so that even the so called freedom loving, conservatives hold this notion also. Russia and China are evil and our enemy and are plotting to invade the U.S. It is all lies but even those who continue to hope in Trump have become deluded.
Oh Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, everywhere present and filling all things, Treasury of blessings and giver of life, come and abide in us and cleanse us of every stain, and save our souls oh Good One.
“at the end of that road there is war and the destruction of the USA (and possibly much of Europe)”
At the end of that road is the destruction of all human civilization as we know it. Period.
This is the reality of the age of nuclear weapons. Ever since WW1, if not sooner, every war became a total war where only the unconditional defeat of the enemy was possible to even consider. Theorists have written that this was because of the age of propaganda that acompanies such total wars. The propaganda tells the people and the soldiers fighting over and over and over and over how incredibly evil the enemy is and how they must fight until this evil is totally destroyed.
Given The Saker’s excellent description of the elites that hold power in the West, can you imagine them surrending their empire and going down into defeat without using their nuclear weapons? Mr. Putin has also tried to make it crystal clear that he will not permit the destruction of Russian civilization, and nothing from the older Chinese civilization says that they are willing to be destroyed and consumed by the west either. Consider that a great deal of propaganda about “usable nuclear weapons” is abound, and the leaders appear to believe their own propaganda. The entire strategic posture of America appears to be to try to gain a position where they can use nuclear weapons without the assured destruction becoming mutual.
But the same propaganda also dismisses and refuses to mention the reality of nuclear winter, where the smoke and dust from the nuclear explosions goes high into the atmosphere where it blocks sunlight for years if not decades. This results in the destruction of agriculture and food distribution as we know it.
Perhaps a few of the big, evolved monkeys known as human beings will survive this disaster, but human civilization in any form reconizeable to modern humans will be totally destroyed. The few humans left will be struggling to feed themselves and stay alive, and the radioactive ruins of the cities will be the only reminder that there ever was a different life on this planet.
Congratulations for your article! As usual, helps us understand how the whole situation has become desperate! The whole anglo-saxon culture going down the tubes, wow! It’s going to a hell of a surprise here, if we’re still around to comment! Like Putin, I’m ready to go. If one reads the old Testament, such
Thongs have happened in the past and I’m sure Gods sees this as maybe humanity has to go through to learn. It’s sad….
How did your donation campaing go?

All I can say is:
One thing to keep in mind is that in America the President obviously does not control the military. The Constitution does say the President is the Commander-in-Chief, which was famously used by Dubya to claim he had the power to do whatever he wanted. But the purpose of this clause in this archaic document was different. The purpose was to ensure civilian control of the military and thus that elected officials were the ultimate deciders.
Like most of the rest of that archaic Constitution, that is now ignored. We just saw an example of this in the last week.
Trump, at one of his Nuremberg style rallies said he was ordering troops to the border to violate the human rights of those seeking asylum from the government that Obama put into place in Honduras with Hillary’s coup. In a military organization, if the Commander in Chief gives an order, then the troops are supposed to jump. But they didn’t, not immediately. Instead, a few days later, Gen Mad Dog Mattis announced that Ok, he was going to send troops to the border.
It was thus obvious that Trump was giving not an order but a suggestion to the real decider who can order the troops.
This was not the first time it was obvious that the American military is not under civilian control. There have been signs going back at least as far as Bill the molester’s term in the White House. But, like with so much else, Trump has made this very, very clear. There have been multiple times that Trump has supposedly decided something as Commander in Chief, but the military either delays or outright disobeys him.
Not really sure if that is much of an improvement, given the highly political nature of advancement within the American military and its ability to promote incompetent leaders. But in terms of the Saker’s piece, we should keep in mind that its a guy named Mad Dog who will be making the important decisions.
But in terms of the Saker’s piece, we should keep in mind that its a guy named Mad Dog who will be making the important decisions.”
The moniker ‘mad dog’ is a product of Mattis’s minions, the rank and file, and the real warriors in the officer corp, despise him.
Interesting. Nuremburg style rallies? Please show the parallels between Hitler’s rallies at Nuremburg, and I’ve stood on the very spot that disciple of Satan stood on and voided my bladder on same, and President Trump’s campaigning. Now there’s a good boy, give it your best try.
When the US military was a drafted one there was in some practical sense, what might be called “civilian restraint” – drafted men will do stuff, but some won’t – and stuff becomes public – there is always this possibility that restrains the Army.
When the Army mutinied (Vietnam) and the response was to end the draft and create a professional army it was obvious that such restraint would also end – and implied that the new army would be used to do stuff that the drafted men refused to do…
Observation shows that the Policy Set since Vietnam and the creation of a professional, arguably mercenary, army has followed precisely such a path…
The proposition that the relationship between Prez and Mil works the other way gives rise to interesting insights… Assume the Mil controls the Prez…now what do we see?
Right on. Just one dispute with even mentioning the Nobel peace prize in the same sentence with the names of Putin and Xi. Nobel prizes are in reality Imperialism Glorification Prizes (look, world, how great we are!). Gandhi, nominated three times, never received one. When a Russian receives one, he is a pro-imperialist, like Sakharov, or a pliant and naive tool of the Empire, like Gorbachev. Some laureates are bizarre beyond belief, like Malala Y., a teenage schoolgirl shot in the mouth – how does that reduce standing armies or defuse armed conflicts? And then there are the war mongers – Obama, arguably the most bizarre recipient.
America Is Dead.
Pretty good article, and a good warning of what has more and more of a chance to occur, God forbid. Oops, should I not mention religion here? Tough, I did, just as I will mention other things as I write that may be anathema to some.
For starters, what makes everyone so sure that any war between Russia and US will be nuke instantly? Both have plenty of conventional weapons that are precise, lethal and devastating and it will boil down to who gets there fustuss with the mostuss, in other words who shoots down more missiles and aircraft in an attempt to negate the other’s ‘advantage’ and who delivers ordinance on target in spite of the defensive systems.
The problem with USA is vast amounts of irreplaceable infrastructure, industry and military complexes are within the 100 mile wide belt from the tip of north Maine all the way south, west, and north to the western Canadian border. This is what is known in the military as a target rich environment, you can almost shoot over open sights and know you will hit something worth the effort, and you don’t need nukes. Think about it. Delaware Bay Bridge at Wilmington? The bridge tunnel further south means nothing if a bridge is dropped that goes across the Chesapeake/Delaware Bay canal.Instant stop of the main east coast north/south transit, and industrial, corridor. Trains? You ain’t got none to speak of and they are fragile. Half a pound of semtex and the rails are history.
Huge civilian/ navy and army bases all along or near the coasts. What will one Kalibr do to Savannah harbor? Norfolk Navy Base? Bath Iron Works? Miami harbor? New Orleans? San Francisco? Silicon Valley? Do you think there will be ‘only’ one Kalibr? Dream on, Kalibr system fits in a conventional rail and sea shipping container, two tubes in one container. How many are already out there, patiently waiting for the ‘call’, let alone other nasty things that go ‘bump’ in the night?
If it comes to war, for the first time in over 150 years America will feel war up close and personal, the destruction and death that she has rained on countries for well over half a century will be visited on her. I don’t think the American populace will be able to cope, let alone be able to act for their own preservation. I know some can, and will, survive and prosper no matter what happens but that will not be in the cities and large towns, it will be away from built up areas, the vast farming tracts, the hills and low mountains, in other words in the middle of ‘nowhere’, that vast area occupied by the deplorables.
As for ‘nuclear winter’ if it does go nuke, prove it. I’ve read it all but it’s just the usual pontifications of self styled expurts who ain’t got no hands on experience with anything but a keyboard. The ‘only’ two cities ever hit with a nuke, the populace did not leave, those that survived, and while suffering horrendous physical damage, continued on and today, not quite 75 years later, both are thriving. Spare me the ‘but so many had birth defects’ etc etc etc. If it comes to nuke, a whole lot of you won’t have to worry about that. However, a surprising number will survive no matter what, our species has proven since the dawn of time that we are survivors. Merciless killers, yes, but survivors.
What will lead to an almost instant breakdown of American ‘culture’ and society is food. Drop bridges, destroy harbors, cut electric, water and gas supply and what happens? No food deliveries, no electric to ‘cook’ the food with, no water to drink, bathe or cook with, no gas for heat. ‘Oh,’ thou sayest, ‘I’ll just google how to do that.’ No internet, gone, dead, closed. Your home computer is fried, the computers that do everything in your car and/or truck are fried, your store and office computers are fried, let alone there is no internet in the first place, you ain’t got no electric for starters and your server’s national HQ is a crater. What now?
How many of you know how to live ‘the old way’, no electric, a well for water, an outhouse for a toilet, a stream to bathe in? What do you use in the outhouse to finish the job? How many of you know which end of a screw driver is the business end, how many of you know how to fix things, and I’m not talking about cleaning your computer mouse, I’m talking about can you adjust a clutch on a truck or tractor? Can you get an old car or truck running, do you know how to adjust the points and what field expedient will give you the correct gap? Do you know how to plant and grow food, and screw your ‘free range chickens’ and GMO seeds, those days will be over. How many of you know how to fish, to hunt, to find water or dig a well, how to make fire? How many of you know how to make soap, sew, choose and cut firewood and with what? Do you know how to fix a leaking roof or door, do you know how to get gravity feed water to your electricless house or barn? Do you know how to husband animals and fowl, how to breed them, increase the herd, feed them, doctor them the old way? And oh, by the by, your money will be useless. If you don’t have ‘foldin’ money, your electronic money is gone in a heartbeat, your foldin’ money is good for about fifteen minutes longer.
You see, the problem in US, and to a great extent Europe and Japan, is everything is ‘modern’, in other words no electric, no transport, no trucked in food supplies, and your are up s//t’s creek without a paddle. Thou arte screwed, big time.
I keep hearing that ‘the elite’ will be hiding in their secure underground bunkers, safe from all the destruction and mayhem of the war. Right. Those are the very people who have people waiting on them hand a foot and can’t dial a phone, let alone do anything but punch keys on a computer or have minions doing that for them. How long do you think they will last with the world as they knew it, as they created, crashing down all around their ‘secure’ hiding holes? How long do you think their paid guards, or the army for that matter, will protect them when the families of said military or guards are starving and dying? Nothing, no facility no matter how deeply dug in, no matter how well and heavily guarded, no matter how well stocked for an extended stay below ground, nothing is secure. In addition to being a surviving yet murderous species, Man is intrinsically nimble and capable of almost anything, ergo getting in to deeply buried havens is child’s play for us with opposed thumbs.
On the other hand, I had an interesting discussion back in spring with a pal in US, not out in the sticks but not near a large population area. We talked of just this scenario, and he made an interesting statement when we got on the subject of criminals, both career and opportunistic, and the drug folks, users and sellers. He stated that he and many others were armed and ready, and the local PD was foursquare behind them. Within 24 hours of the start of the war, there will be no career criminals and no drug dealers in his settlement, he clearly stated that he, his friends and the local PD knew exactly who each and every one of them are.
Now, some may call this anarchy, some may call it vigilante justice, some may complain and scream about ‘rights’. Here’s a little truism. The first casualty of a real war is ‘rights’ and ‘justice’. It will be over, folks, life as you knew it will never return, and more’s the pity for that. Such opportunity, such wealth, such freedom, such life, thrown away with both hands. I would say that you should be ashamed of yourselves, but reality is you have, and had, no choice, you are creatures, and victims, of your own prosperity, culture and wealth. Political masters laugh at you, and us, and despise all of us. The lamp posts beckon.

Maybe that comment from Pres Putin the other day….come home expats….we welcome others seeking Russian citizenship ….we will look after Russians anywhere( cut off the head of the snake?)is a biiiiiiiiggggg hint………!
Probably why I am watching lots tv progs re self sufficiency in Alaska…….
Looks like I’ll be going for citizenship next summer. I’m old, so a lot of the rules don’t apply to me, for instance my Russian is hideous to be kind, but my knowledge of Russian history is not too bad.
As for you, bone up on the needed skills, you’re going to need them, methinks and me fears.
Auslander: well said. A few home truths there.
Ive long assumed, given Putin’s asymmetric style, that when he said the next war will hit America, that what he was actually saying was that the means to do that were already in place. It wouldn’t surprise me if nukes were already in place in major cities. But as you state, a few pounds of semtex strategically placed would be just as damaging.
America can’t stop illegal immigrants, the borders are wide open. Do you think Russia and China haven’t noticed that?
We moved one hour north of the big city. Bought acreage, built the `hippy retirement plan house` sadly, Lizzie`s taxman put the kibosh on that. But it`s still nice to wake up to the wailing of birds, coyotes and wolves than the wailing sirens of fire, police, and paramedics..etc.
My uncle, ex merchant seaman, asked why I would leave the big city……………just want to be outside the blast zone………was my reply. Living beside two of the largest rail line yards in North America (where all north south east west frieght travels through) I just thought it prudent to get away from a huge target. And that`s in Canada.
Auslander raises many interesting and valid points.
But I don’t see how any major war could remain conventional or even limited in any way. This is a conceit by intelligent idiots like the Rand Corporation and Bolton. It is far more likely that most of the stockpiles of strategic weapons would be fired off and used up in the first two hours, a lot of them in the first half hour. Countries who operate these weapons work on the principle, “Use It Or Lose It.” The safest place for these weapons is exploding over an enemy target. They can then be forgotten about. They have done their job. Try to hang on to them and you’ll lose them. Submarines can be tracked and hunted down as in WW2. Bombers can be destroyed on their own airfields, priority targets. Long range missiles weigh over 100 or even 200 tons and represent a big, fat juicy target. They have a flight time of about 20 minutes and a firing sequence of 4-5 minutes. Great efforts have been made to get the firing sequence down to as little as a minute – people don’t want them on the ground for one minute longer than is necessary.
In the 1960s it was assessed that an initial first strike on Russia and China with 3,600 warheads would cause a death toll of somewhere between 285 and 1,000 million, ignoring retaliation and all further strikes, tactical nuclear weapons and conventional weapons.
It has been plausibly suggested that there would be a 30 – 50 – 20 effect. 30% would die over the first couple of days in the initial attacks. (18 million in a country of 60 million like the UK/ France.) Another 50% (30 million) would die off over the first 6 months through starvation, disease, exposure and radiation. Everything required to sustain life would have been destroyed. No electric grid, no fuel supplies. No transport system, roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, ports, airfields. No clean drinking water. No medical services of even the most basic kind. No law and order. No agriculture. No industry. No international trade. This is without considering the possibility of a nuclear winter leading to an extinction event for humans and all large animals.
This would lead a residue of 20% (12 million) surviving after 6 months. This remnant would experience a very high death rate and it is anticipated that most would die off within two years of the attack. Any survivors would be leading a desperate existence, trying to scratch some kind of a living from subsistence agriculture without the knowledge, expertise, experience or temperament to do so with some chance of success. This would not be like living in the Middle Ages. It would be far worse than that. The people of the Middle Ages built huge castles and magnificent cathedrals. This would be way beyond the capabilities of the starving and traumatised people involved.
The talk of impending war around the world is on the increase. The Great Powers speak openly of the need to prepare for conflict. What does this tell us? If anything, it appears to be a sign that the global order, which came into being after WWII and the Cold War era, has come to an end. What is replacing it?”
CrossTalking with Peter Kuznick, Michael O’Hanlon, and Daniele Ganser.
Russia is preparing for war. Well this is what Russia and in fact any other “sovereign” nation should do during time of peace. Having said that, it doesn’t mean at all that Russia will get into a war soon. I am kind of sick and tired of the warmongering going on at Alt-Med. I understand that this strategy attracts viewers and possibly donations, similar to bashing the Jews like Russia Insider is doing constantly. I am opposing it because people and their comments tend to get over board. One thing is for sure Russia doesn’t need a war and not running after one. US will NOT attack Russia for the simplest reason that Russia has the biggest stockpile of nuclear weapons thanks to the Soviets. EU is no where close even to build up a strong military force. So what are we talking here? Is it the Martians who will attack Russia? All strategic plannings by both US and the Soviets showed that a war between Russia and the West is near impossible. Russia also does not threat any strategic and vital interest of the west. Just show me one example. China’s situation is different and China really threatens the vital economic and military interests of the western oligarchy to certain extend. There could be a war in the future between the two super powers, namely China and the US. Russia will not be part of this war and if so, Russia will definitely be on the side of the West. China bashing on some nationalistic Russian media is appalling.
Please dont dismiss us plebs so readily, we are as helpless as the next man.
I find articles like this most difficult to comment, in part because of my inability to consider Russia and China as a single entity: Despite the strategic mutuality evidenced at the despicable UN and of course Rhetoric. I confess to being somewhat blinkered by the Silk Road project which I view as a major contributor to “Globalism” which is being foisted upon humanity centuries before we as a species are ready for such a ideology.
Therefore it should be asked: Is China a signatory to the INF treaty? If not, what use is it? Is Israel a signatory? Is the US actually wrong? In my view, partially only.
The EU is building its unified military at a cracking pace. Will NATO even exist once completed? If not, then the US will no longer be free to use force in Europe using NATO/Gladio conglomerate. Or will the NATO be privatised to serve as a hybrid warfare organisation?
Well given the gravity of nuclear warfare and the advances made in that area of science it does seem that the INF should be signed by everybody, seeing that the only reason to possess Nuclear power reactors is to enrich fuel for weapons.
The Russian Federation push back to the US determined effort to terrorise the Rus into WW111 is very late. If both China and Russia act together no actual annihilating, exterminating WW111 may be necessary. China drops all it’s US Wall Street paper, Russia orders the US war games of any and all kinds are removed and return to the US, or Europe will find itself terrorised in turn from US endless arms and troops. Europe holds increasingly more Russian ‘partners.’
The Russian abilities to set up appropriate iron-clad measures to stop US war “games” and the empty pretence that Russia is a danger stated by US constant war propaganda.
In a shorter and shorter time, the US all be removed as the holder of the one word reserve currency. No need to annihilate it’s own most important neighbour over an US decision to force it’s own dollar into worthlessness.
If there is a conventional war, nobody, but nobody can say it won’t go nuclear. And if it does, I think many people, especially in the northern hemisphere, will not want to survive.
What everybody is missing is a very simple fact that will probably finish human life: nuclear power reactors going into full meltdown, there are about 450 of them, and they are all totally unforgiving.
They will create radioactivity on such a scale that no one can imagine the consequences on life, and with nothing to stop it.
Personally, I think war like that won’t happen, because I think the way things will go will be like it is prophesised in the Bible – think wars, and rumours of wars – which of course, also talks about the evil in this world which will get much worse, yet it won’t go on for ever.
The difference between Christianity and all other religions, apart from God reaching down to man, instead of man trying to reach up to God, is (Biblical) prophesy.
You call losing the Empire a ‘disaster’ … it isn’t. It would be a good thing for the US. The real problems in America are internal, and they could indeed lead to ‘disaster’.
Hi Saker – great article – I will pass it on – btw – this sentence where you’re trying to find the Amerian equivalent to a french saying –
I think ‘Full Speed Ahead’ might be the right slogan
And the ending –
This might be the time for Russia and China to begin pushing back seriously. Everything else has failed, at least so far.
Yeah, for sure I think so too – especially in Syria – it was wrong that Putin helped the US protect all those terrorists from the SAA – in Idlib – I think it was – that was a shame.
Anyway- I know that Putin’s way was the right and Christian thing to do – and that the rest of us – who were disappointed that the massacre was cancelled – that’s because our hearts are very mixed up with high noble thoughts – and savage brutal thoughts –
But it just seemed a shame….also Palestine – I wish Putin would speak out about that – and …
A well written and thought provoking analysis. A sobering essay that needs to be read by all Americans. To the thundering herd: Slam on the brakes you stupid fools. The Neocons leading the stampede are taking us over a cliff. Lets bring this death march to a grinding halt before it is too late. Western leadership(?) That is an oxymoron. When will we get our President Putin? Will he/she get here in time?
”While clearly some Neocons are truly batshit crazy, most are not. Stupid, ignorant, arrogant, hateful and evil – yes. But not necessarily insane. And for that reason, I don’t think that the AngloZionist leaders will stumble into a war against Russia as a result of their insanity.”
Could be if we’re lucky, but we also have to factor in the insanity ”from below”. The all-pervasive corporate-fascist misculture and mindrot — in the US further aggravated by a horrible, obnoxious infatuation with firearms — might do the trick, especially if sufficient emphasis is being put on ”bread-and-butter” issues. The West has a solid, irrefutable track record of its domestic subjects rallying behind their beloved 1% whenever their cooperation is particularly crucial. Beyond the insanity, it’s a matter of class instinct.
”This might be the time for Russia and China to begin pushing back seriously. Everything else has failed, at least so far.”
Correct. And it has failed for the simple reason that justice in general and peace in particular are the antithesis of Western imperialism; not just an anathema to it. 500+ years of worldwide rape, enslavement, genocide, and ecocide should make this a trivial fact of history. Especially now when the West has only a few years left rotting on the vine.
In regards to your saying that no one is reporting on the possibility of actual war with China and/or Russia, I would reply that there seems to be plenty of neocons and neocon-shill news outlets that are licking their lips at the thought of war. The John Bachelor Show is one example.
50,000 NATO troops stage MASSIVE military drills on Russia’s border

Why Norway? How will Russia react? What are the chances that such brazen military
exercises on Russia’s border lead the world closer towards real conflict?
The America Empire and its malignant “democratic allies” will reap what they have sown around the world.
That much should be clear.
The United States of America is so delusional that it believes it has a God given to dominate the world … because they are God’s Chosen Democracy, the Beacon of Liberty, and Land of the (un)Free.
This is the America mindset in general. It is euphemistically called American Exceptionalism, though in reality it is more honest to call it imperial insanity
United States is such a warped country that it would rather risk nuclear Armageddon than give up its delusions of world dominance.
America’s Nuclear Death Wish – Europe Must Rebel
The Pentagon and members of the US intelligence community have not-so-secretly agreed on a rough plan for an offensive cyberattack against Russia in the event the Kremlin interferes with the 2018 midterm elections on November 6, according to Yahoo! News, citing “current and former senior US officials” familiar with the plan.
In preparation for its potential use, U.S. military hackers have been given the go-ahead to gain access to Russian cyber systems that they feel is needed to let the plan unfold quickly, the officials said.
The effort constitutes one of the first major cyber battle plans organized under a new government policy enabling potential offensive operations to proceed more quickly once the parameters have been worked out in advance and agreed among key agencies. -Yahoo!
And if the USA does declare “more” Russian interference and does launch a cyber attack?
to quote from the above article, and Putin, which imo is a defining statement overlooked in comments here :
“Any aggressor should know that retribution will be inevitable and he will be destroyed. And since we will be the victims of his aggression, we will be going to heaven as martyrs. They will simply croak and won’t even have time to repent ”
The voice of a man and people who are not frightened to die defending their country from aggressors or when stopping agressors outright.

Entry with intent is itself a criminal act, and planning it is a criminal conspiracy…
I posted at a previous Cafe that experts in the US, but this was perhaps missed…the “window of Victory” is closing, and the US sees a brief remaining chance to dominated Heartlandia, Russ and Chin…
” the Pentagon intends to profit – in as much as time remains for it to do so— from its quantitative superiority, to impose its choices on Russia and China.”
In other words even though their equipment is of low quality they may throw all the fodder units into a Grand Attack… Seems quintessentially nazi, eh?
These US “elites” are just stooges for a force that runs much deeper, has existed for a much longer time and in, all likelihood, has long rang plans. To see this one needs a large matrix of, largely suppressed, information on diverse aspects of the current situation – scientific and political. Here is an, overly brief, summary of some of the factors.
1, The “human caused” global warming hoax
2. The coming ice age and the, now confirmed, variability of the “electric sun”.
3. The complex of US biochemical warfare stations not just around Russia and Iran but all across Africa and South East Asia pointed out in Ruslan Ostashko’s commentary, which you carry.
https://thesaker.is/the-us-has-encircled-russia-with-the-biological-laboratories-by-ruslan-ostashko/ at the 4:51 min mark. There are almost certainly more in the equatorial regions of Latin America.
4. Why so many operations of mass extermination across the equatorial regions? Who is the enemy there? Unless, when the ice age returns (remember that the earth has spend most of the last 500 thousand years in deep cold with much of the northern hemisphere covered with ice) the oligarchs who hide behind British-American Imperial structures intend to take the only remaining viable areas for themselves and their retainers. It’s been stated before that feudalism is the only stable class society – especially when the oligarchs are alert to any new out break of industrial capitalism.
5. The assassinations of 3 US presidents, the legal in-statement of the extremely unpopular gold standard in 1879, the attack on the Greenback, the demonetization of silver in1873 and the breaking of the US Russian alliance of 1830 all point to a recapture of the US by the British Empire through the banking system and the corruption of congress in the 19th early 20th century.
6. From the consolidation of the Dutch bankers, London merchants and sections of the British nobility in the so-called “glorious revolution” of 1688 along with the founding of the Bank of England 1694 the empire has operated more and more through a global financial system relying first British then American military power to buttress it.
See this one in case you missed it.
One of the absolutely worst Emperors of China was destroyed by Sun Tzu.
Putin is the Sun Tzu modern and he, too, is without a shadow of a doubt going to destroy one of the worst empires to be destroying life in-on earth.
>>Singing glory halellujah Russia, Et Al.
Gee-wiz everything seems so confusing–as if some occupying force is psychologically isolating the US and preparing it’s citizens for elimination [suicide 2nd leading cause of death for teenagers in the US]. Now who [or what] could possibly benefit from the demise of the United States?
What did Israeli Dominick Suter– owner of Urban Moving Systems [dancing Israelis] say– shortly before 9/11: “In twenty years we will control your media and destroy your country”: Looks like he had a crystal ball.
And there is also these two prescient books–written my highly trained military/intelligence/academic experts back in 1951 and 1952:
“There was another book [written in 1952] very similar in nature– with an author of similar qualifications as Beaty: Captain Archiblad Maule Ramsay–served as a high ranking British officer in WWI and later in his career became as member of British parliament and a personal friend of Neville Chamberlain.
Ramsay–through research and direct experience uncovered a centuries old conspiracy against Britain, Europe and the whole of Christendom. His book “The Nameless War” revealed a link between all of the major revolutions of Europe–the machine which continues to this day– the plan for supranational world power–the age-old Messianic dream of International Jewry.
You can download a pdf of the 120 page book at sweetliberty.org.
Here’s the primary point–which the Djurdjevic touches upon [A “holy war that must be waged unremittingly” against the “gentiles?”] it’s not the talmudic jews against Germany or Palestine–it’s the talmudic jew against the world [all that is not jewish]. Which is why these zealous people have been evicted from over 1000 regions since 1200 BC [https://www.patreon.com/pos…]. The Primary Conflict–which goes back millenniums is the conflict between the jew and gentile and it is playing out right in from of our eyes– here in 2018.
This Primary Conflict must be addressed– if humanity is to continue–while the talmudic jew will do everything to keep this reality under-cover– for two very good reasons: It demonstrates intent with corroborating evidence [history] and secondly–by forcing these two adversaries to the table– it threatens the talmudic jews status–the solution requiring a compromise between equal parties–which is anathema to the talmudic jew–for if the truth be known–it is not the gentile who hates the jew–it is the talmudic jew who hates the gentile.
So what’s it going to be my fellow world gentiles–are we going to feed the beast of darkness or the spirit of light?”
“In twenty years we will control your media and destroy your country”
Very funny. The Jewish Mafia has master-minded, planned and controlled every single step of the creation of the New Atlantis, the New Jerusalem, that nation we commonly refer to as the USA. All ‘Founding Fathers’ were Mafia assets, and all American Presidents have been crypto-jewish. It is that simple.
Read Kevin MacDonald’s “A People That Shall Dwell Alone”: Judaism is an middle-ages ‘in-group” evolutionary strategy with the expressed and practiced principles of segregation and resource competition between the jew and the gentile. It is a conflict that predates the birth of Christ.
We’ve got to drag these people to the negotiating table–if humanity is to survive–we are no longer talking sticks and stones–the lethality created by these destructive “geniuses” will eliminate biological life on the planet–we must step forward.
What is most problematic is the restraint and maturity displayed by Russia and China in the face of constantly escalating and intolerable provocations.
This is just interpreted as weakness and it encourages further attacks, threats, insults, lies and provocations.
The western world has the worst leadership in its history, corrupt, arrogant, deluded, irredeemably ignorant and ideologically driven. We need a Bismarck or a Metternich and we get May, Macron, Merkel, Trudeau. They don’t understand respectful and diplomatic language, negotiation and measured agreement. This is just weakness and “appeasement.” All they understand are demands, threats, insults, sanctions and bombs.
A case in point was the invasion of Russian diplomatic premises and the private homes of its staff in America. Russia should have broken off diplomatic relations immediately after this occurred.
It seems increasingly unlikely that war of an apocalyptic character can be avoided.
The situation could be compared with 1941. At that time German leadership was probably significantly better than what we have now. Leaders like Herman Goering and other military commanders argued against Barbarossa on practical grounds. The operation was too difficult to undertake with the limited resources available. But these arguments were swept aside. The Russians were racially inferior. The Russian armed forces were a joke and would collapse like a pack of cards. Moscow would fall in six weeks.
Pick up the Economist or Guardian, or the outpourings of the Neocon think tanks, and you can see much in a very similar vein. The Russian armed forces are greatly overrated, little better than a criminal street gang. Russia itself is a joke, with a tiny economy and military budget. Putin is a crude kleptocratic thug and cartoon villain who has people murdered purely for the fun of it. The Russian people are desperately yearning to overthrow his tyrannical rule and hand over their natural resources to Wall Street.
The Trump Regime is intent on war and the destruction of Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, China and Russia. Initially by political subversion and economic strangulation, but this is just a prelude to actual conflict.
These countries need to strike back pre-emptively without any restraint if they wish to avoid Armageddon. One obvious example would be to dump a trillion dollars of Treasury Bonds in a single day. Whatever the result is preferable to the inevitable coming war. Uncle Sam will only clean up his act and mend his ways when he gets a long overdue and sorely needed hard kick in the balls – or preferably a whole series of them
In 2015 Konstantin Sivkov, the Russian president of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, outlined two geophysically weak US regions to attack in order to combat NATO’s aggression towards Russia.
Sivkov’s rundown basically revolved around either dropping a nuclear weapon near Yellowstone’s supervolcano or the San Andreas Fault.
Catalyze the eruption of Yellowstone’s supervolcano
“Geologists believe that the Yellowstone supervolcano could explode at any moment. There are signs of growing activity there. Therefore it suffices to push the relatively small, for example the impact of the munition megaton class to initiate an eruption. The consequences will be catastrophic for the United States, a country just disappears,” he said, according to a translation by Sydney Morning Herald.
According to a Discovery Channel documentary, an eruption of this magnitude would bury North America, drape the atmosphere in a sulphur haze, dim sunlight, and plunge the world into a volcanic winter.
Trigger a mega tsunami to ruin America’s infrastructure
Another option would be to drop a nuclear bomb near California’s San Andreas Fault.”A detonation of a nuclear weapon there can trigger catastrophic events like a coast-scale tsunami which can completely destroy the infrastructure of the United States,” he said, according to a translation by Sydney Morning Herald.
Does anyone here think that the Russian powers-that-be would give Sivkov’s suggestions any credence? Just asking!
Russian analyst urges nuclear attack on Yellowstone National Park and San Andreas fault line in the Sydney Morning Herald
Can they just give up the empire and become a normal country and still remain the 50 United States of America? US debt won’t just disappear … or the poverty, or the civil unrest, or the blame gaming, posturing, lies etc. What internal problems they have now will be aggravated. Their production is war-based – and overseas war-based at that: that’s one helluva extra load if it’s now costing instead of bringing in the bucks. Their MIC employs how many million Americans in all 50 states – all those people jobless.
They lose their empire then states will secede – and by force if they have to. I suppose they could use their bloated military to occupy themselves but hey – that would make for a seriously disgruntled general pop, nevermind adding that to likely hyperinflation.
They’ve left themselves no other option and now they’re faced with empire die – or empire fight and hope to win. Okay, they can’t win but that doesn’t stop a cornered rat from fighting.
War is inevitable.
It’s been inevitable since 2012 when China (with Russia as Customer #1) opened the yuan up to the oil trade. Both Russia and China know that and they’ve spent the intervening years preparing for that war; staving it off as long as they can. OTOH, the US has spent those years telling the world how mighty their military machine is and putting sanctions on just about everyone.
… All they good for now – spout and sanctions.
In process of dissolution is perhaps also inevitable that real and material foreign political factors would also be involved, at least by proxy. In previous US civil war both Russian, French, and English forces had significant influence. Indeed some attribute the murder of Lincoln and subsequent terror of reconstruction (Lincoln was at death involved with ship charters to repatriate the Negros) – some attribute this to British Intelop. I do. Maintaining the “other” is essential to the method of divide to rule…and the Capitalist tool of racism.
It may yet be possible to save something from the wreckage… but eventual regionalization seems probable.
One might see the method modus vivindi of the US as essentially that of a pirate. When the time comes to give up piracy and do honest cooperative work ashore, can a pirate make the transition? Or must he throw everything he’s got into a mad conflict in an addict’s last tantrum?
So why has the West forgotten the lessons and cautions of history in terms of war with Russia? Why in fact, can’t the West see the day-to-day horrors of wars in Libya, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Afganistan? There is a moral rot which seems to be at the center, but words elude me in describing it. I hope it does not get us into a war to end humanity on earth.
For the neocons and the military-industrial complex, it is clear that their last chance to save the empire is to put Russia and China against the wall, hoping that at the last moment they will give in to the pressure. Because if the United States and its allies do not do so now, within 5 or 10 years their strength, already in decline, will be even lower. So they hope to bend Moscow and Beijing without going to war. Too dangerous, because any mistake or a determined response from Russians and Chinese can bring about the end of the planet.
Post mid-term elections.
And so the results are in or are they.?
Given the irregularities across multiple states it would seem there is going to be plenty of grist for the mill.
Plenty of court challenges coming up I would think.
And plenty of mayhem to feed the beast the US must become to act out Armageddon.
Very worrisome.. Cassandra in our mist no ones listening ..always had the feeling that America would be the next Atlantis
“Fuite en avant”, is not really a panic or a dreaded danger. Is more a short term solution that while dealing with initial issue create a new situation worse.
For example say you are in the wild on a lac on a canoe. The canoe is fill with water due to a little leak and start drowning. (a normal reaction would be to remove the water and found a way to fix/reduce the leak).
Fuite en avant is you let the canoe sank and move on the land trying to continue the journey.. So now fine you not drowning but you lost a convenient way to move / transport bagages. (if you didnt lose some in the process).
Now that you at land suppose their is some wild animals ashore. Say a snake. Your “fuite en avant” you rush into the forest etc…
So just to summerize “fuite en avant” is caracterise by solving a situation by creating a new one which for a calm observer look worse..
1 extra note tought, is that sometime this fuite work and in the end you fine.
(NB, I know you speak French Saker, so you already knew all this. But I just think is importany for other to really grab this concept if they ever want to use it)
I think it’s about time now….Given the fact that Russian and Chinese warnings are ignored, then these warnings should be shared with the simultaneous declaration of the two Presidents of Russia and China. The global dictatorship that spreads like cancer must meet a steel wall out of those forces that united will be able to crush any enemy at any time. Crush anyone who tries to impose his own Interests on this planet by sowing wars of misery and suffering everywhere. Any differences between these two countries, whether economic or territorial, or any other nature, should be swept as quickly as possible. There is no power in the world to ignore this warning! The arrogans would do well to realy fear, and to fear for real and specific reasons that will not only be expressed in words, but with certain moves and actions that will not be challenged by anyone. A joint statement by the two leaders must be made in a very serious tone and in worldwide broadcasting.
This is the only way, not only to start the arrogant ones TO THINK, but generally societies should think about what the hell is really going on!. If some favored societies live in a stupid consumer welfare that prevents them and blinding them to see that hundreds of thousands of people, and in some cases millions of their fellow men are killed without punichment, and deep down with their own silence acceptance, or that the word “FREEDOM” is almost completely lost, or at least has nothing to do with what was 30 or 40 years ago, then they must understand that their indifference is digging their own grave, foment their own future and bring to them misery and poverty. Soviet power was not a product of paradise, nor of course any…..Angel guard on Earth. But it was holding a balance that now no longer exists. So let’s make a new balance even stronger!! Now! Before it’s too late and “the Error” hapens. Lets make a new balance that will not necessarily show the nuclear teeth of course, but that will show some “other things” effectively, at the right time and in the right place.
Nice post you shared here and is very informative. Toy guns are toys which imitate real guns but are designed for children to play with. From hand-carved wooden replicas to factory-produced pop guns and cap guns, toy guns come in all sizes, prices, and materials such as wood, metal, plastic or any combination thereof. Many newer toy guns are brightly colored and oddly shaped to prevent them from being mistaken for real firearms.
