it is a good move to translate soral in english as he is so demonized in france. maybe his style… his communist idiosyncrasies… his over seriousness… like he maybe lacks some inner empathy… but his analysis is very accurate, and he should be listened at.
I’m your man, but Alain Soral is weak: he was communist, anarchist, pro-palestinian, wright extremist, and christianiste. He’s a big mouth, skin head look, I consider him as a Trojan horse.
You read The Saker certainly with stowing aways those propaganda about Russia and Poutin, this USA-UE-occidental-propaganda which says that both are the devil, and whatever such as stupids, and babyish arguments. We all do this and we’re right.
But when you pose your eyes on french dissident as the very famous Alain Soral, that all dissidents there (France) respect, you put in your head these same bias-propaganda-infantile splutters against him.
You use owrellian “doublethink”.
You stop the mediatic threshing when you need to. But you ought need to do it for french dissidents as well.
Dissident movement has to be unit, not scattered with clans of pro-somone or against-somone, that what they (all up there) want.
So Saker, I read you really often, I’m your man if you need a french traductor.
From my life experience, I would say that everything you wrote about him makes him even more interesting. Only people who were trying hard to find an ideology on all sides could finally see the ugly truth about Zionism, which ordinary Western people still can not comprehend at all.
@ The Wend,
Q: Only people who were trying hard to find an ideology on all sides could finally see the ugly truth about Zionism, which ordinary Western people still can not comprehend at all.
R: It suffices to say that the reason why we hardly get an unbiased look at the utter destruction at the hand of the Apartheid State in western MSM outlets in Palestine, is fully self-explanatory.
He who controls the money and the news, controls the truth [and thus the destiny of mankind].
Bar/Bat Mitzvah, anyone?
…at the hand of the Apartheid State
in western MSM outletsin Palestine, in western MSM outlets…
You need an English person knowing French to do this. No other way.
I applaud your initiative to have Soral translated in English and hopefully in other language. «Nul n’est prophète en son pays», as goes the saying. The French being what they have become, (I am from Quebec, which suffers also from the same indiscriminate admiration for whatever looks like anglo), when they see how much he is regarded in other countries, the demonizing pressure will loosen. Not that Soral is perfect, but what he has to say worth being listened to. He is the synthesis of Michel Clouscard (who raised and the marxism to the state beyond leninism) and the «conservatisme social», which saved Russia «de la deliquescence nationale»
Should I be better in english myself, I would not hesitate one bit to translate it myself. To my knowledge, «Comprendre l’empire», which is a good synthesis of the present world, very densely written, is its only work translated in foreign language so far. Saker, I appreciate your intervention to make available Soral’s work. From english, i am sure it will get to be translated in russian, spanish, italian and other member’s language of our community. Thanks for getting the ball rolling. Thanks for promoting what stands for the truth.
You probably know it already but here’s ma suggestion.
1) get someone to transcript what Soral is saying in French (I can do it)
2) get a French-English translator who could translate from the script.
Maybe it should be the work of many, and not only one person.
Is there anything in what Alain Soral has to say that could not be subjected to the same criticisms as we apply to Strelkov? Yes, he seems at first glance to be a unifying force: le catholicisme chez les francais… et autres religions chez les autres.
But these are ideas that belong to the 14th century. The glory of French civilization — from Charlemagne to Voltaire to Zola to Foucault — lies in people who challenged religion as a source of superstition and oppression.
i wish i had the time, definitely an excellent source on French politics, you can tell by the attacks in the comments hehe
No. You need a native English speaker who’s also a Francophone.
Je Suis Zeon: French Freedom of Speech is a Myth, Says Cartoonist
A caricature artist persecuted for self-expression told Sputnik France about the regression of freedom of speech in his country.
The Charlie Hebdo attacks sparked debates over the self-expression all over the world. A rally was held in Paris after the attack with 40 of the world’s top officials.
Journalists and cartoonists defended their right for freedom of speech. But it seems like something is rotten in France.
A Frenchman called Zeon, 31, originally from Paris told Sputnik France his striking story. Recently he was arrested by the French government for his caricatures.
“On Tuesday March 3, 2015, police broke into my house at 7 a.m. The officers were following orders of a judge and led me to the court and then put me under arrest. I was arrested for a caricature which I drew in 2011 and which was opposed by the organization BNVCA (National Bureau of Monitoring of Anti-Semitism). The organization filed a complaint on me in 2011. Currently, the investigation continues.”
He used to draw comics, and since 2007 engaged in caricatures and gained fame as a caricaturist. Currently he leads a group of illustrators and caricaturists who have been boycotted by the media.
In his efforts to express his concern over the situation that was happening to him, Zeon contacted Plantu a famous French cartoonist, who is also a defender of freedom of expression of artists around the world and one of the founders of the organization “Cartooning for Peace”. He also contacted the creators of the film “Cartoonists — Foot Soldiers of Democracy”. Unfortunately, no one responded to Zeon’s plea.
“With Charlie Hebdo we all heard the slogans that artists have the right to criticize the government, to condemn in the name of freedom of speech and expression. In theory, yes, but in practice freedom of speech is only regressing. Everyone understands and feels that it is becoming increasingly difficult to speak freely in France. There is a very high risk of reprisals from the justice system.”
Zeon together with his team has published several collective publications, such as “Almanac for all.”
In 2013, Zeon was condemned by the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICRA) for a cartoon that he drew.
Zeon further said, “I am surprised and shocked by these methods of intimidation, which is usually applied to criminals. Through my caricatures I have never advocated violence or hatred towards anyone; on the contrary I am for tolerance and peace.”
“What is happening to me is a sign that the regime of Hollande is increasingly approaching to a dictatorship. Especially when the government spends it’s time attacking and bombing other countries, such as Libya or Syria ‘in the name of democracy’.”
Zeon told Sputnik that he received support from various people, but noticed that those who claimed to be “Je Suis Charlie” did not extend any support to him.
A few journalists, like Frederic Haziza shared Zeon’s opinion.
In the zionazified west, “freedom of speech” essentially is carte blanche for zionist Jews and their minions to promote all the bigoted hate they want with impunity, while making these same bigots the judge, the jury, and the executioner with regard to what anybody else wants to say.
Dear friends, thanks to those of you who offered to help. It appears that was is most needed now is somebody to SUBTITLE the video.
Cheers and thanks!
A lot of talkers but no workers it seems. Me, I’m an Aussie that has difficulty speaking English.
You could try asking the uploader to add automatic captions to the original upload.
I managed to find the same thing from a different user split into four with auto subtitles which aren’t too bad, frustratingly, only parts 2 to 4 are available:
Here in Australia we have a TV channel specializing in providing our many immigrants with material in their own languages. But they subtitle everything in English, to make the films accessible to everyone. Originally started with Government funds, the channel now has to partially support itself. A lot of their income is from a multilingual translation service, built on the expertise assembled for sub-titling movies.
They use TWO translators for every movie. The native speaker of the source language translates literally. The native speaker of the target then re-writes it into correct idiom.
