Is President Trump A Traitor Because He Wants Peace With Russia?
The Democrats say he is
by Paul Craig Roberts
The US Democratic Party is determined to take the world to thermo-nuclear war rather than to admit that Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election fair and square. The Democratic Party was totally corrupted by the Clinton Regime, and now it is totally insane. Leaders of the Democratic Party, such as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, my former co-author in the New York Times, have responded in a non-Democratic way to the first step President Trump has taken to reduce the extremely dangerous tensions with Russia that the Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama regimes created between the two superpowers.
Yes, Russia is a superpower. Russian weapons are so superior to the junk produced by the waste-filled US military/security complex that lives high off the hog on the insouciant American taxpayer that it is questionable if the US is even a second class military power. If the insane neoconservatives, such as Max Boot, William Kristol, and the rest of the neocon scum get their way, the US, the UK, and Europe will be a radioactive ruin for thousands of years.
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi (CA), Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives, declared that out of fear of some undefined retribution from Putin, a dossier on Trump perhaps, the President of the United States sold out the American people to Russia because he wants to make peace: “It begs the question, what does Vladimir Putin, what do the Russians have on Donald Trump—personally, politically and financially that he should behave in such a manner?” The “such a manner” Pelosi is speaking about is making peace instead of war.
To be clear, the Democratic Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives has accused Donald Trump of high treason against the United States. There is no outcry against this blatantly false accusation, totally devoid of evidence. The presstitute media instead of protesting this attempt at a coup against the President of the United States, trumpet the accusation as self-evident truth. Trump is a traitor because he wants peace with Russia.
Here is Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer (NY) repeating Pelosi’s false accusation: “Millions of Americans will continue to wonder if the only possible explanation for this dangerous behavior is the possibility that President Putin holds damaging information over President Trump.” If you don’t believe that this is orchestrated between Pelosi and Schumer, you are stupid beyond belief.
Here is disgraced Obama CIA director John Brennan, a leader of the fake Russiagate campaign against President Trump in order to prevent Trump from making peace with Russia and, thus, by making the world safer, threatening the massive, unjustified budget of the military/security complex: “Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to and exceeds the threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors. It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???”

NOTICE THAT NOT ONE WESTERN MEDIA SOURCE IS CELEBRATING AND THANKING TRUMP AND PUTIN FOR EASING THE ARTIFICAILLY CREATED TENSIONS THAT WERE LEADING TO NUCLEAR WAR. HOW CAN THIS BE? HOW CAN IT BE THAT THE WESTERN MEDIA IS SO OPPOSED TO PEACE? WHAT IS THE EXPLANATION?
The Russians, the Chinese, the Iranians, and the North Koreans, as well as the rest of the world, desperately need to notice the extremely hostile reaction to peace on the part of the US Democratic Party, many members of the Republican Party, including the despicable US Republican Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, and the Western Presstitute Media, a collection of people on the CIA payroll according to the German newspaper editor, Udo Ulfkotte, and the CIA itself.
Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and the rest of the corrupt filth that rules over us are all in the pay of the military/security complex. Just go and investigate the donations to their re-election campaigns. The 1,000 billion dollar budget of the military/security complex, amplified by the CIA’s front corporations and narcotics business, provides enormous sums with which to purchase the senators and representatives that the insouciant American voters think that they elect.
Do you know how large 1,000 billion is? You would have to live for thousands of years and do nothing for 24/7 except count to reach that figure. It is a sum that nurtures the recipients, and the recipients regard it as worth protecting.
Therefore, the American public gets not representation, but lies that justify war and conflict. The military/security complex, about which President Eisenhower warned the American people to no effect, is in desperate need of an enemy. In obedience to the military/security complex, the Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama regimes have made Russia that enemy. If Trump and Putin do not understand this, they will easily be made irrelevant.
They both can be assassinated, and that is what the statements from Pelosi, Schumer, McCain, Lindsey Graham, et. al., repeated endlessly in the propaganda ministry that is the Western press, encourages. Trump can be assassinated or overthrown in a political coup for selling out America to Russia, as members of both political parties claim and as the media trumpets endlessly. Putin can be easily assassinated by the CIA operatives that the Russian government stupidly permits to operate throughout Russia in NGOs and Western/US owned media and among the Atlanticist Integrationists, Washington’s Firth Column inside Russia serving Washington’s purposes. These Russian traitors serve in Putin’s own government!
Americans are so unaware that they have no idea of the risk that President Trump is taking by challenging the US military security complex. For example, during the last half of the 1970s I was a member of the US Senate staff. I was working together with a staffer of the US Republican Senator from California, S. I. Hayakawa, to advance understanding of a supply-side economic policy cure to the stagflation that threatened the US budget’s ability to meet its obligations. Republican Senators Hatch, Roth, and Hayakawa were trying to introduce a supply-side economic policy as a cure for the stagflation that was threatening the US economy with failure. The Democrats, who later in the Senate led the way to a supply-side policy, were, at this time, opposed (see Paul Craig Roberts, The Supply-Side Revolution, Harvard University Press, 1984). The Democrats claimed that the policy would worsen the budget deficit, the only time in those days Democrats cared about the budget deficit. The Democrats said that they would support the tax rate reductions if the Republicans would support offsetting cuts in the budget to support a balanced budget. This was a ploy to put Republicans on the spot for taking away some groups’ handouts in order “to cut tax rates for the rich.”
The supply-side policy did not require budget cuts, but in order to demonstrate the Democrats lack of sincerety, Hayakawa’s aid and I had our senators introduce a series of budget cuts together with tax cuts that, on a static revenue basis (not counting tax revenue feedbacks from the incentives of the lower tax rates) kept the budget even, and the Democrats voted against them every time.
When the combination of tax cuts with defense budget cuts came up for a vote, the legendary senator Strom Thurmond, a 48-year member of the US Senate from South Carolina, tapped me on the shoulder. He said: “son, never set your senator up against the military/security complex. He will not be re-elected, and you will be out of a job.” I replied that we were just establishing for the record that under no conditions would the Democrats, who wanted more government, vote for a tax rate reduction even if there was a case that it would cure stagflation. He replied: “son, the military/security complex doesn’t care.”
My emergence from The Matrix began with Thurmond’s pat on my shoulder. It grew with my time at the Wall Street Journal when I learned that some truthful things simply could not be said. In the Treasury I experienced how those outside interests opposed to a president’s policy marshall their forces and the media that they own to block it. Later as a member of a secret presidential committee, I saw how the CIA attempted to prevent President Reagan from ending the Cold War.
Today, right now, at this moment, we are faced with a massive effort of the military/security complex, the neoconservatives, the Democratic Party, and the presstitute media to discredit the elected President of the United States and to overthrow him in order that the utterly corrupt elite that rule American can continue to hold on to power and to protect the massive budget of the military/security complex that, along with the Israel Lobby, funds the elections of those who rule us. Trump, like Reagan, was an exception, and it is the exceptions that accumulate the ire of the corrupt leftwing, bought off with money, and the ire of the media, concentrated into small tight ownership groups indebted to those who permitted the illegal concentration of a once independent and diverse American media that once served, on occasion, as a watchdog over government. The rightwing, wrapped in the flag, dismisses all truth as “anti-American.”
If Putin, Lavrov, the Russian government, the traitorous Russian Fifth Column—the Atlanticist Integrationists—the Chinese, the Iranians, the North Koreans think that any peace or consideration can come out of America, they are insane. Their delusions are setting themselves up for destruction. There is no institution in America, government or private, that can be trusted. Any government or person who trusts America or any Western country is stupid beyond belief.
The entire Russiagate hoax is an orchestration by the military/security complex, led by John Brennen, Comey, and Rosenstein. The purpose is to discredit President trump for two reasons. One is to prevent any normalization of relations with Russia. The other is to remove Trump’s agenda as an alternative to the agenda of the Democratic Party.
President Trump is almost powerless. Putin, the Chinese, the Iranians, and the North Koreans should recognize this before it is too late for them. President Trump cannot fire and arrest for high treason Mueller and Rosenstein. And Trump cannot indict Hillary for her numerous unquestionable crimes in plain view of everyone, or Comey or Brennan, who declares Trump “to be wholly in the pocket of Putin,” for trying to overthrow the elected president of the United States. Trump cannot have the Secret Service question the likes of Pelosi and Schumer and McCain and Lindsey Graham for false accusations that encourage assassination of the President of the United States.
Trump cannot even trust the Secret Service, which accumulated evidence suggests was complicit in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy.
If Putin and Lavrov, so anxious to be friends of Washington, let their guards down, they are history.
As I said above, Russiagate is an orchestratration to prevent peace between the US and Russia. Leading military/security complex experts, including the person who provided the CIA’s daily briefing of the President of the United States for many years, and the person who devised the spy program for the National Security Agency, have proven conclusively that Russiagate is a hoax designed for the purpose of preventing President Trump from normalizing relations between the US and Russia, which has the power to destroy the entirety of the Western World at will.
Here is the report from the retired security professionals who, unlike those still in office, cannot be fired and deprived of a careet for telling the truth: https://original.antiwar.com/mcgovern/2018/07/15/memo-to-the-president-ahead-of-mondays-summit/
Here is what the clued-in Russian Defense Minister Shoigu has to say about the aggressive actions of the West against the Russian homeland: https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2018/07/13/defense-minister-shoigu-on-moscow-vision-security-problems.html
If Putin doesn’t listen to him, Russia is in the trash can of history.
Keep in mind that no media informs you better than my website. If my website goes down, you will be left in darkness. No valid information comes from the US government or the Western presstitutes. If you sit in front of the TV screen watching the Western media, you are brainwashed beyond all hope. Not even I can rescue you. Nor God himself.
Americans, and indeed the Russians themselves, are incapable of realizing it, but there is a chance that Trump will be overthrown and a Western assault will be launched against the handful of countries that insist on sovereignty.
I doubt that few of the Americans who elected Trump will be taken in by the anti-Trump propagana, but they are not organized and have no armed power. The police, militarized by George W. Bush and Obama, will be set against them. The rebellions will be local and suppressed by every violation of the US Constitution by the private powers that rule Washington, as always has been the case with rebellions in America.
In the West, which the Russians are so anxious to join, all freedoms are dead—freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of inquiry, freedom of privacy, freedom from arbitrary search, freedom from arbitrary arrest, along with the Constitutional protections of due process and habeas corpus. Today there are no countries less free than the United States of America.
Why do the Russian Atlanticist Integrationists want to join an unfree Western world? Are they that brainwashed by Western Propaganda?
If Putin listens to these deluded fools, Putin will destroy Russia.
There is something wrong with Russian perception of Washington. Apparently the Russian elite, with the exception of Shoigu and a few others are incapable of comprehending the neoconservative drive for US world hegemony and the neoconservative determination to destroy Russia as a constraint on US unilateralism. The Russian government somehow, despite all evidence to the contrary, believes that Washington’s hegemony is negotiable.
Okay, so as far as I can tell from reading the utter mess of MSM reporting… Trump is a traitor now for doubting the word of the FBI and CIA?
Since when did the intelligence industry become trustworthy? Was it after they way they handled 9/11?
Excellent article PCR.
Your last paragraph sums up perfectly the Russians dangerous foolishness
“…There is something wrong with Russian perception of Washington. Apparently the Russian elite, with the exception of Shoigu and a few others are incapable of comprehending the neoconservative drive for US world hegemony and the neoconservative determination to destroy Russia as a constraint on US unilateralism. The Russian government somehow, despite all evidence to the contrary, believes that Washington’s hegemony is negotiable.”
I could not understand why Russia agreed to this meeting – especially when there is no support for rapprochement in the USA.
Summits only work if they are supported by the establishment – this is not the case here.
The press conference afterwards should never have happened.
They should have issued vague statements- that the talks would be contained at FM level and left it at that.
Putin since his re-election has made one dangerous misstep after another.
– reappointed the same neo- liberal govt even though he was given s mandate to make changes
– pension policy is just bad politics – he looks like a liar
– this so called summit was accepted with no FM preparation meeting beforehand. Pompeii cancelled the meeting with Lavrov. It was clear the Americans wanted to only talk about what they wanted . No Russian insterests considered
I am very sad to say Putin wants to be standing next to America no matter what and really exposed the Russian inferiority complex. It is Yeltsin all over again.
Indeed, there seems to something fundamental and complex about the Russian psyche and its relationship with the modern context. However, rather than trying to solve the ‘younger brother’ syndrome, the puzzle that only needs to be considered for geopolitical context is that Putin and his government have very little to lose and much to gain from ‘selling’ the Americans enough rope to hang themselves.
Trump is deluded if he thinks his friends Xi and Vlad are his buddies on a world stage. There are no friends, only interests. The G3 are all riding their dragons. Xi is there for life. Putin will likely be shaking hands with Trump’s replacement (in 2 or 6). Putin leans towards the Law as a methodology. However, the American ‘Way’ has lost its way, and no one really cares anymore. Trump is just as likely to have negotiated a future “Trump Towers” in Moscow as a bypass for WW3.
I agree that Putin has lost something and there is a greater wisdom in rotating the top (which is now the fast fading old norm), but Yeltsin he is not. Trump is the great ‘disruption’ and he is applying complexity science well it seems. The main issue for the US side of the equation is the fast diminishing relevance on global issues. What better way to deflate the military industrial complex than to remove the faux-bogey justification?
Re-framing Russia is a good start. Trump is increasingly less the ‘show’ than the reactionary faux-left in the Democrat and neocon domains. Obama is gone with the wind (Trump’s fixation) and Clinton (HR) is a hag-bag of faux-feminist wind.
Now the key question: who is this “other” nation (not Russia) that meddled in the (non)Democratic (s)election of the American ruling class? And WTF does it matter?
As a matter of fact, if the NSA intercepted the communication of HRC and the DNC, there are several other agencies having access to a full copy: the CIA, the FBI and Israel. His majestie’s secret service (GCHQ) won’t sit on its fingers either. In my opinion, it is highly likely that either of the two is this foreign entity.
Given that it is proven beyond doubt that Israel and its US-lobbies continuously interfere in US policy making, I would be surprised if there would not have been direct meddling (i.e. nefarious activities other than funding the election campaigns) in the elections as well.
What all of this hyperbole is based on is that it is somehow dangerous for Putin to talk to Trump.
Isn’t that exactly what the MSM is trying to accomplish? Make sure Trump and Putin don’t talk?
So, we’ve got the MSM telling us (for those who actually listen to them) that Trump is a traitor for talking to Putin. And now we’ve got Mr. Roberts telling us that Putin is a traitor for talking to Trump.
Sounds to me like a different front on the same strategy.
Putin has always been problematic on the west. the way he came to power suggests there was a deal on his ascension. what was that deal.. if indeed there was one?
But Putin is a clear admitted and open capitalist..period. that means that his hobnobbing with oligarchs is genuine. yet he did pull Russia back which proves there is some genuine Russian nationalism in his make up. he is not Yeltsin. he is not a buffoon and a fool. Russia is a functioning state again, demonstrating significant nationalist achievements under Putin..the completion of weapons systems that have put Russia ahead militarily, made truly significant gains in agricultural production..Russia is #1 worldwide in grain production..clean grain as far as I know.
I tend to give Putin the benefit because of the current decent, achieving state of Russia after the previous Gorbachev/Yeltsin fire-sale. But like PCR it has long been clear to me the nature of the capitalist British empire, now lurking under the USA rubric. I am a Black man, a child of slaves. if there is anything anything I know, am certain is the absolutely ruthless and rotten nature of the empire and those who run it.
I knew this as a boy growing up reading all and everything I could lay my hands on. I grew up in the routine conditions for Black people in the west…a ghetto. and all around me were the lessons written large. what is mildly shocking is that PCR, a white man has picked up perfectly the true awful, insane and horrific sense of his own white elites of which he is a near part himself.
that is what they are..utterly criminal, insane, capable of any evil at all… and cannot change. their global interest is not in changing, least of all for what awaits them if they lose their social power to protect themselves. the Jewish people..particularly the Jewish elites cannot possibly escape accountability for their crimes against humanity. I do not see how humanity can walk away from Jewish crime, and the Jewish outlook historical, ideological world view, that establishes themselves as the chosen of god and bound by god to enslave the human population a project they are busily involved in carrying out.
I have seen literal interviews with Jewish people, the ones who wear the black hats and suits, who do not work and pay taxes, or serve in the Jewish military. in fact it seems they do nothing at all when the day comes. these were discussing what their holy books said about the divisions of humans as slaves among them when they finally establish their dominion over the Earth. there was a dispute over how many slaves each were to get on that day..one said 28 another said less.
this poison must be dealt with, cleaned u[ by scholarship that established beyond a doubt what we know actually is tru about human history from as as early as we can get currently. and on this not only Jewish religious nonsense…particularly that but also ALL religious nonsense. if we are to believe any dam thing it ought to be truthfully based, out of truth, an extension of truth…not fable and fantasy unconnected to reality
these are who run the planet, ruin the planet and the human home and by interest must go all the way to avoid accountability that would see them not only lose their social position wealth and top dog lifestyle but also their heads. as far as they are concerned it is their way or radioactive ashes. so does Putin have some insight and plan to avoid this, that involves disarming the Americans by flattery?
Agree with James. Initially I thought Russian are somewhat different than the eastern Europeans like Polish, Ukranian or Estonians. However my last observations of Russia especially Putin made me think that the deep inferiority complex against the west is deeper than what I thought. Dostoevsky was fully aware of this complex and thus always weared traditional Russian peasant garment. The five great composers (Borodin, Korsakov etc.) wanted to compose music unique to Russia. Seems like there has always been two opposing poles in Russia. The deeply Russian traditionalist one and the western (white) Russian. Putin is a west appeaser IMO and doesn’t have anything to do with Euroasian values. Many years ago in Washington he was singing “the Blueberry Hills” in Washington in front of the US president. This should have been a good flag. He reminds me more and more of Yeltsin too. If you believe in John Helmer’s arguments, the real power behind Putin is and has always been the Yeltsin clan, especially Yeltsin’s son in law.
The “Russian Atlanticist” comment is interesting.
However deluded they are, they cannot be as crazy as what us Americans are hearing out on the plains. From what’s ostensibly “our side”.
The NeoCon Ziocons won’t be happy till a replay of the Cuban Missile Crisis forces Trump to crack. On the news Trump is being openly called a traitor. I looked all over, but cannot find a single reporter saying anything like that when Nixon met Brezhnev. The press may have hated Nixon just as much, but they hadn’t yet contracted rabies.
The US has fallen lower than I thought. Putin only has to wait it out. America will be a complete swamp or radioactive after a couple more years of this.
I seem to remember rhetoric attacking Nixon for 1) his opening to China, and 2) his ‘detente’ with Russia.
Its been a long time, and I was much younger then and much less experienced at listening to political cow droppings, but I do seem to recall a lot of talk along those lines. Not so much in the pro-Vietnam War media of the time, so it wasn’t on every channel every day like the news that McGovern and the protesters against the war were all traitors, but I do remember the right-wing being unhappy with Nixon and Kissinger over those moves.
I definitely recall a lot of mud being thrown at Kissinger at the time for being Nixon’s adviser who was leading him to such moves.
Mud on Nixon and all his imps, yes, but not on the official or “television network” level.
Patriots considered it treason or at least bad taste but it was ignored by the upper tiers of public opinion, who handled it with maturity.
That’s what is missing these days. There’s no sense of proportion. Nixon or Trump, they making just making talk. Diplomacy is lying in your country’s interests. Walter Cronkite might have been a hot air balloon but at least he knew that.
It’s like a pack of wet diaper babies now, very different atmosphere.
For those who forgot: You make peace with your enemies not with your friends. Yizak Rabin, if my fading memory saves me right.
Lavrov says the talks were “super”
This is the guy that made all those agreements with John Kerry only for them to be broken in 24 hours. Resulting in the death of Syrians
You would think he would wait and see.
Lavrov is a diplomat. They always say such things.
There could be a meeting where both sides scream insults at each other behind closed doors, and the diplomats will always come out and release a statement about ‘a productive and interesting discussion where both sides exchanged their views.’
Once they get us by the balls–anywhere from 12 months to 12 years–our hearts and minds will follow. They’re stalling for time while they perfect Plan B: new, compatible payment systems, etc..
They got us by the balls back in the 1960’s. That’s when the deep state grabbed power. Or more accurately, they’d already gotten power in the 1950’s, but in the 60’s and on into the 70’s there was some resistence to that fact. It was in the late 60’s that they confirmed that they had us by the balls by kicking us until we stopped resisting. By the time Reagan was elected (with a lot of help from the CIA in making sure Carter didn’t get his hostages released), it was all over but the shouting.
Putin understands what’s happening in the USA! And he does not want to join the Western World. The Russians want to be respected as a sovereign state and live in peace. Anyway, the “Deep State” has to be eliminated!
So far, it looks like an effort to modify perceptions. What giant concessions were made? Where’s the big loss?
PCR is right, in general. Some have mentioned an inferiority complex. It’s not just with the West. I’ve seen it in relation to the Chinese too. I watched a clip where this Vesti agent approaches the Ali Baba guy, begging him, “you like Russia don’t you. You don’t believe bad stories about Russia do you. Say you like Russia. Please, Please, Please.” Reminded me of the Samaritan woman. Completely pathetic.
Russia had its schooling system taken over, well, long time ago. But the machinery to produce total retards was only imported in the 90s and it’s causing huge problems. The education system needs to be upgraded hard and fast.
As far as the conference goes, that was yesterday. Next week Trump will probably be in Georgia or Kiev. Don’t worry PCR (if you really are): actions are louder than beguiling words.
I have no idea where PCR got the impression he got. How is Putin not “getting” it? Putin dismantled the US grip on Russia. There isn’t a snowballs chance in hell of a colour revolution. All they can muster with what he left them are some pathetic Navalny PR stunts which have a negative effect, if any. If they had the ability to assassinate Putin, he’d be long dead and buried. Add much as they love an enemy, they would take hegemony over a new cold war in a heartbeat, which a vassal Russia would pave the way for easily.
The US is collapsing, all the world needs to do is patiently wait for it and establish an alternative to fill the void in the shortest amount of time, to decrease the likelihood of conflict breaking out, which is exactly what Russia and China are doing.
What is he saying, in actuality here? By taking the time to hold a meaningless summit Putin somehow became a moron? How could he have refused? If he did, all the same clowns who are now running around hysterically like stuck pigs in light of it, would scream Putin doesn’t want peace. They would deliberately misinterprete his refusal in a multitude of ridiculous ways, none of which make Putin or Russia look good in any way. This way, history will reflect Russias effort towards peace.
And North Korea especially, does not trust the US one bit, and after months of utterly ridiculous, bombastic rhetoric coming out of Washington, and Pyongyang – to be fair, the South finally managed to get it through their heads as well. The summit with Kim was a show, a meaningless play put on by Kim Jong-Un AND Moon Jae-In, together, to make the americans believe that they are part of it to prevent their sabotaging efforts, which they had already started by the time the summit kicked off. Kim and Moon are dangling a “legacy” making carrot in front of Trump. They will take that carrot away at such a time when the US can no longer stop the unification process, then chase the occupiers away with the stick. Until then, appearances must be kept up.
As it is with Russia. Putin can’t refuse a meaningless summit, he can’t be the one refusing even the appearance of peaceful efforts. This is also a signal to the Europeans. May and Merkel are finished, their limbs dangling from an inanimate trunk. We will likely have unscheduled elections in Germany and Britain before too long and both Corbyn and whatever Frankenstein coalition the German electorate produces will both try and improve relations with Moscow, since all the German anti-Russia parties are in massive decline.
Unlike Trumps US, the patchwork of the EU provides better grounds for some movement on that front. Only one state is required to say ‘no’ to get rid of the sanctions, why Italy didn’t do it a few weeks ago is anyones guess, or Bulgaria, or Hungary, or Greece, or the Czech Republic to this day, no clue what Brussels is using to keep them in line. With Germany and Britain, at the very least, easing up on the rhetoric, something could actually happen. If Putin had refused, they could’ve spun this as him not wanting peace, they are already desperately trying their absolute best to reestablish a new cold war, it would’ve been much easier with Putins cold shoulder.
Long story short, I have no clue Why PCR would go after Putin in this manner when there is no reason to. Maybe I’m missing signs of naivete in the behavior of the Russian president, but the picture he painted in that article doesn’t match up to my point of view, inserting or interpreting a few pieces differently would distort the whole thing rather than change the perspective. I’m not seeing the ‘doom’ he is.
As for Trump, I agree. Unlike many experts who stubbornly refuse to believe he really is in over his head and instead choose to misinterprete his stumbling through his presidency into some supposed 4D chess skills and political genius, I don’t have such a high opinion of the man. I doubt he can see 10 feet ahead of him, politically speaking. He, I think, actually believes he’s doing something useful with North Korea and this summit, rubbing his hands at the prospect of becoming a significant historical figure.
But I disagree with PCR on this. If he is assassinated, I believe it could spark a new civil war. His base already doesn’t trust the media, the politicians, the intelligence agencies, I doubt in this day and age, where every single person has the ability to establish a live camera feed in seconds with their phone, they could keep a lid on this. One or two viral incidents with the government could ignite a wildfire.
Time will tell. Something the US does not have much of. All this ridiculous behavior of a superpower gone nuts, will be landing on the trash pile of history before long. Let’s hope there won’t be global war to mark the occasion.
Essentially agree with what you wrote here about PCR’s piece. Personally, I consider americans dictating to the Russian leadership in the manner PCR does, to be arrogant and insulting.
I very much agree with you Serg, and have been making these points myself for a long time. I got so tired of what appeared to me to be a degree of dismissive arrogance, that I stopped PCR’s emails.
it is a viewpoint that overlooks facts – a thing that puzzles me exceedingly.
If PCR reads Putins own autobiography, and watches the recent documentaries about him, he would learn that Putin was educated by the KGB after his University degree; he was educated to become an agent to fight for Russia against what they called “The Main Enemy”. Who was that? America and NATO !!
He in fact received training as an undercover agent. Although stationed in East Germany, he was, he said “working on the other country – i.e. America”.
After all this, is it not clear that Putin probably knows the mind-set of the entire American and European ruling regimes better than they know it themselves?.
In a forum, he answered the question “what was your major mistake in the early days of your renovation of Russia and with Europe and America?” and he replied “We trusted you and tried to work with you, [because at first he believed that the antipathy Russia and USSR got from the West was ideological and against Communism]. And that was our mistake. But in response, you took advantage and treated us with contempt. And that was your mistake”
Does this not show a man with no illusions about the kind of regime facing him???
Then we look at the years since – how he threw out the Yanks, hauled in the Yank backed Oligarchs and cleared them out, discarded unfair agreements like the Sakhalin Island oil robbery and so forth.
Does this not show a man willing to take on America?.
Finally, look at his speeches to America, in Munich 2007; the UNSC 2015; military support of Syria against American Proxy Army; now selling off American debt and reducing US dollars.
Over and over and over he demonstrates a slow, but carefully constructed plan to remove Russia from America [ the amount of trade Russia conducts with America is piddling] and to isolate America. And it’s working.
Yet here we have another tirade against him, leaving an implication of him being like Yeltsin, a drunkard and betrayer of his country.
Finally, if it was so easy to assassinate Putin, does he not think it would have been done by now? Is he saying that CIA assassins are more competent than the Presidential Protection Unit – and on it’s own soil? That is an arrogance I just find breathtaking.
It just beggars belief.
I believe the evidence shows that Vladimir Putin is the opposite of everything that PCR has said he is – and that the person who doesn’t understand anything is PCR, not VVP.
I agree with Serg, vot tak, Isabella, and Jose Martì (below)
and would only add…
Fear-mongering is a business model. It generates $$$.
Gotta keep the readers hooked on fear.
You have made an excellent comment. Dr Paul Craig Roberts is a superb analyst when it comes to interpreting Washington’s and NATO policies towards Russia. However, he is not brilliant when it comes to Russia’s internal and external policies. I don’t know what sources Dr Roberts uses when Russia is in question, but these sources end up giving him quite a distorted picture of the country. He constantly gives too much credence to NGO’s operating in Russia, forgetting that quite a number have been expelled from the country. When it comes to pro Western liberal in Russia, their influence has for years been declining.
When he comes to Vladimir Putin, his strategy is brilliant. He is playing the waiting game, waiting for the US to exhaust itself politically and financially. As one analysts has stated, both Russia and China are waiting for the right moment to introduce gold backed currencies, and imagine what that will mean on the international scene.
Finally, something needs to be said about the World Cup in Russia. It was an incredible success. Russia gained tremendously on the PR front, changing peoples perceptions about the country. It is bound to become one of the top tourist destinations in the coming years. However, not everyone is happy about this. Russian institutions, who organized and protected the World Cup, were on the receiving end of almost 25 million hacking attacks. They all failed, and the World Cup succeeded. Congratulations Russia.
Finally some comments praising the good news from Russia. The World Cup introduced millions to the beautiful side of Russia. Trump, at great personal risk, acted for peace right in the face of overwhelming hostile opposition. Putin played his role perfectly.
You have to wonder if many commenters are stuck in a mood of nothing good ever really happens, and my suspicions prove how wise I am.
Putin’s pocket liner?
Hysteria prize so far goes to John O. Brennan, who tweeted as follows:
“Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???
It seems “American spies no longer trust their president”.
I’m now hoping Trump, for all his faults, fires the spies.
Well, spies are a treacherous lot by design. Dissembling, con-artistry, threats, blackmail, coersion, bribery, honey traps etc. are all tools of the trade -in consequence honesty and trustworthiness are not high on the list.
Yes, send them packing, starting at the top and then working down.
“Why do the Russian Atlanticist Integrationists want to join an unfree Western world?”
Wake up, brother! ‘Russian Atlanticist Integrationists’ is just a silly name for the Jewish Mafia’s Russian branch. Remember, drug trafficking, money printing, slave trade are per definition trans-national… Get it?
Roberts at it again.
using alex jones to make his case.
A very interesting article, as always from Dr Paul Craig Roberts. However, some things need to be said.
First of all, in this article Dr Roberts has concentrated on the Democrats, as if Republicans are any better. As far as I can see, there is no real difference between these two political “parties”. Both are pro neocon and anti Russia. When additional sanctions were introduced against Russia, 99 % of all politicians in the US Congress supported the sanctions, with a few notable exceptions. Proof how much control Wall Street has over the US political establishment.
When it comes to the internal situation in Russia, Dr Roberts is again making the mistake of giving too much attention to Western backed NGO’s and Atlanticists. Yes, they do exist, as we all know. However, how much power do they really possess ? How much influence do they exert on Russian society ? Somebody like Ksenia Sobchak ? Hardly. Their influence is minimal, especially since nobody can forget the Yeltsin years when Russia was plundered of 100 billion dollars a year. Nobody wants a return to that. Worse for the West, it did Putin an incredible favor with that insane coup d’etat against Yanukovich in Kiev in 2014. Not only did Putin reunite Crimea with Russia, but the current economic, financial and social situation in Ukraine is a God send to him. The country has been reduced to a feudal state, plundered by Ukrainian oligarchs and Western corporations. The population is impoverished. Yesterday I read that one million citizens in Kiev do not have hot water in their apartments and houses, because the Government has not payed it’s energy bills. All this is observed by the population in Russia. By December of 2014 a total of 4.4 million Ukrainians fled to Russia. Imagine what they had to say about the situation in Ukraine. To state that a CIA operative from one of the NGO’s in Russia can assassinate President Putin is going too far, as if the Russian Federal Security Service is not aware of this. Dr Roberts again fails to mention that quite a number of NGO’s have been expelled from Russia, and that NGO’s are under observation, as they should be. As for Russian oligarchs, I think they still remember Putin’s warning that he will not tolerate any corruption in Russia. That new bridge in Crimea was built in record time, and by an oligarch. Why didn’t he sabotage the construction ? He didn’t dare.
Finally, we come to the person of Trump. Is he really anti establishment and against special interests ? During the election he had the support of 200 admirals and generals. What is that supposed to mean ? What was their motive for rendering their support to Trump ? To place a puppet in the White House ? To continue the neocon globalist policy ? It looks that way. How many election promises has Trump kept so far ? Can Trump really go against the neocons in the US, even if he really wanted to ? I think not, bearing in mind what happened to JFK and RFK.
Before Trump met Putin in Helsinki, I wrote that Trump was going to Finland to see what concessions he could get from Putin. If you take into account what has been stated so far, I think I have been proved right. The media in the US launched an assault on Trump, accusing him of being soft on Putin because he did not demand answers on all those absurd, invented accusations. This is additional proof that Trump went to see what concessions he could get and not to make demands. The neocons who control the media in the US are still living in the past, thinking that the US has the prestige it once had. It has no more prestige, while it’s military, financial and economic power has been reduced. The neocons fail to grasp this, and this is what makes the situation dangerous. I think Trump understands this, no matter how much control the neocons exert over him.
I question the logic of this article. It begins in the first part by saying that peace is a good thing. That Trump and Putin want peace and potus is called a traitor for wanting peace.
But in the second half of the article, it’s been said that potus is powerless, the ms-complex is in charge, their imperialism and will for hegemony are not in discussion, and Putin, Lavrov and whoever reaches a hand are making a terrible mistake. That they should watch their back for assassins.
By doing this, PCR basically supports the presstitutes version, it flips it on its side but it’s basically still the same: he too is saying that no peace can be possible with the hegemon, only in his article the “traitor” are Putin and Lavrov instead of Trump…?
Hello from Russia.
I have a feeling whether people do not hear what Putin says, whether they do not understand what he says or his words are deliberately translated not completely or not correctly.
1) at the press conference sounded a bomb that few people heard and few understood in the Western part of the planet:
“I mean the high-profile case, involving [Bill] Browder’s Hermitage Capital company. According to our investigative officers, a group of people – Mr Browder’s business partners – who illegally made over $1.5 billion in Russia did not pay taxes either in Russia or the United States but transferred this money to the United States. They contributed $400 million to Ms Clinton’s election campaign. This is official information included in their reports – $400 million. Well, it was up to them, they might have done this legally, but the gains were ill-gotten.
We have grounds to suspect that US intelligence officers supported these illegal transactions. This is only one step forward. We can talk about expanding our cooperation. You’re welcome, there might be options that are provided for in the appropriate intergovernmental treaty.” (V.V.Putin)
Do you even understand what those words mean? Putin essentially gave Trump 4 aces to solve all the problems within the United States and the destruction of the entire military lobby with the result of life sentences and death sentences of all his opponents, who are also Putin’s opponents. These words mean that Russia has proof that the election company Clinton was funded with dirty money. As these words mean what is up with these dirty money liberalise laws on sanctions against Russia and other laws against trump and so on.
If trump has the strength and intelligence to play the right game, he can ignite a fire that will simply set fire to the entire American elite. And he now needs to be very careful not to solve the issue as with Kennedy.
2) Putin is well aware of who he is dealing with. The presence of the Russian Deputy General staff in civilian clothes at the talks confirms this. It was also explained to Trump through Bolton at a meeting in Moscow, which was attended by Shoigu. Shoigu is one of the closest to Putin people, a person whose opinion and assessment are very important for the President, he never ignores them, he did not go to Helsinki for one simple reason, there was no similar person from the American side. You understand one Putin is trying to do everything so that cleaning in America was carried out by the Americans themselves, he gives a chance. Putin is the greatest politician of our time and he understands perfectly well that war is bad, from it first of all innocent people suffer, and in the case of a thermonuclear war millions of them will die.
All signals were sent to all parties: Israel in the form of a recently shot downed aircraft, America in the form of parts of the shown new strike systems of weapons and salvo launches of ballistic missiles from a submarine. Russia does not want war we value peace more than anyone else, because better than anyone we know what a war of annihilation is, but it does not mean that Russia is not ready for this war and will not fight if necessary. I have already written about it earlier in the comments to one of the articles very reasoned and on the points.
I respect the author of this article for his opinion and assessment, they are often very close to the truth, with one exception, he does not understand The Russian mentality and he unfortunately does not understand Putin, at least what our President says, and he, by the way, unlike many other politicians knows the price of every word. I think yesterday, after his words that I quoted above in the US, many people drank heart pills or poison, because yesterday was not just a signal, yesterday there was thunder.
Again, sorry for the bad English, I rely on the translator.
Good comments and great to see a contribution from Russia.
Yes you are right. People do not listen to what Putin sayst which often means his quietly spoken but deadly serious speeches are drowned out by the din and racket from the USA and the CIA controlled western media.
Of course the Russians know what they dealing with they have endured centuries of western perfidy and aggression but when as Russia has you have had 27 million people killed in the last western war the drive to avoid another one is very strong.
And I do think PCR is mainly correct discussing the US but what does he think Russia should be doing that it isn’t already?
I urge people to read Martyanov’s book “Losing Military Supremacy” (reviewed here http://thesaker.is/book-review-losing-military-supremacy-the-myopia-of-american-strategic-planning-by-andrei-martyanov/)
The Russians need to be very careful but they have no need to be fearful.
Have people forgotten that in the last 6 months Russia has revealed weapons that can render obsolete the entire US navy and it’s air force?
Soon they will have anti-satellite weapons that can render the combined west impotent and paralysed.
Does PCR think that the Russians are just sitting on their hands?
I am sure that in their private talks both Russia and China realise that for them the primary focus must be on managing the US collapse and preventing the maniacs from starting a war because with it’s vast potential, Russia has very bright future and prefers a positive vision to war.
Trump’s usefulness to Russia lies in the possibility that he can hamper the neocons war plans though no one knows what he will say or do next and if he is the best the US has it will take more than that.
Countries dumping dollars will be a big help too.
The gold backed petroyuan is growing in relevance.
There are many ways to win a war.
The most obvious difference between Russia and the US is that the US regime does not give a fig about the American people or the issues that concern them, In fact if Americans would only wake up they’d see the Zionists have destroyed their once prosperous country. (And the EU)
By contrast Putin cares deeply about Russia, it’s people and their welfare.
And when you care about something you take the time and do things properly.
America is dangerous and always was but PCR does not need to worry about Russia taking care of itself.
My last point : Some people think there might be a civil war in the US.
I don’t think so at all. “Civil war” implies two clearly defined and organised sides in the conflict.
What I see happening as the dollar loses it’s global reserve status is the increasing inability of Americans to afford stuff with their worthless dollar and when this hits hard affecting transportation, supply lines and food stuffs civil breakdown will occur and many people may die as the fascist regime tries to hold onto power.
It is not inconceivable that Russia, the worlds number one wheat producer may find itself sending grain to the poor benighted souls left in the bankrupt ruins of what was once the most corrupt empire that ever existed.
Patience friends – at least until the anti-sat weapons are perfected !
Thank you, I really like this resource, I’m glad that I accidentally found it and have been reading it with pleasure for a couple of months, unfortunately I write little because I do not want to scare people with bad English. I understand of course that communication in the modern world is important, but I belong to the part of people who love and respect their culture, history and language so I do not seek to learn a foreign language. Frankly, I was even touched not much touched by the comments of foreign guests of the world Cup with us, that few people speak English, in my head always at the sight of such comments there was a question: why should we speak it? Our people a few thousand years we have a great history and amazing culture and my opinion is that we must protect it.
Yes, you are right, just many people can not begin to think more broadly to understand that this is a multi-level and complex party, here and trade routes, infrastructure, technology, energy market, armed forces, change in the global financial system (zero dollar) and much more.
I think in articles “PCR” exists as they call it “American exceptionalism”, he can’t understand that someone can be smarter and learn from their mistakes. Russia is well aware that there is America, the lesson of the 90s is learned, the second time with us to do this will not work.
In the matter of weapons I know a lot of things, this is a topic for which I always watch, and I know enough development about which very little is said. The President spoke only about a small part of what is, there are many other things such as electronic warfare systems in which Russia is ahead of the rest of the world for 3 decades, for example, our military can create an electronic dome over the troops, and all that will fly in them controlled or not controlled projectiles will explode in the air, missiles capable of
As for the civil war, the fact that the conflict inside somehow will be I think it is inevitable, it is the consequences of any deep political crisis, and then there is also an economic crisis. In one form or another, I think something will happen anyway.
Hello from Europe, and in the first place your English is not bad at all.
As much as PCR doesn’t seem to grasp the Russian nature, I have some doubts whether it is grasped how the politics and press function here in the west.
The press attitude (let me exaggerate a bit here) is simply that Democrats can do anything and Republicans are evil. Already in the time when Nixon was around (and I was a boy then) I can remember that about anything he said or did was met with attitude. In the time of Reagan that was even worse. Well, they were not such bad presidents after all, were they?
Do we really think this Clinton bomb will go off here? I can predict that it will be ignored. If selling illegally 20% of the strategic American uranium stockpile to Russia gets unpunished (talking about treasonous!), what is to be expected of this one?
I have read quite some leaked e-mails from mrs. Clinton, out in the open and which contents were never challenged, and at a certain moment I just stopped reading. She was even working on buying Haitian orphanages to get exploited in paedophile circles.
They come away with it. Unless they become too dangerous for others, and then suddenly something starts to work, like with Harvey Weinstein whose reputation was well-known for many years.
I doubt whether it has something to do with `politics´, that is just theatre. It is about power, submission, plundering, all for a small circle. At least the plundering. Why do we think the American military are already 17 years in Afghanistan? That´s for plundering on heroin and rare earth metals. The rest is show.
Putin has dragged Russia out of a plundering spree, started in the nineties, and made with that one of the most underestimated heroic moves of our modern time. How did the West let that happen? They were too busy with Iraq, and I think they underestimated him, I guess.
And that is why they hate him so much. Russia must dance for the plunderers, as well as China, Iran and North Korea. Well, will they?
My guess is that many in the top of Russia know damn well what they are dealing with. They have experienced the consequences in the nineties. Does the West know what they are dealing with? Here I have some more doubts.
And that is exactly what I am afraid of. Already two times WW3 was avoided in Syria by mutual understanding of Joseph Dunford, chief of staff of the Pentagon, and his counterpart Valeri Gerasimov. Two superpowers cannot allow to rely constantly on the reasonable approach of the Field Operation, and feel free to shriek out insults to each other (well, imho one party excels therein).
I think both Trump and Putin know this, but Trumps powers are thin. The press and opinions are toxic in the USA. They can´t wait to stab him in the back, and when it goes to much in the wrong direction (like chances on peace breaking out) the Deep State will use other means. My guess is that his family might be in danger too.
PCR might think that Russia is moving naively, but I don´t agree. The fact that people in the West think this, think they see signs of weakness, is the real danger that is around the corner.
Mod: The following is from Google Translate.
Thank you, you asked a good question whether they understand the West with whom they are dealing? Reagan after the collapse of the Soviet Union said that he made a huge mistake, because the USSR is Russia in fetters, which is forced to feed and provide many satellites. Russia will return vindictive and wicked, and will avenge everyone who caused her harm. (An approximate quote). We have learned the lesson of the 90s for all generations, for Russia this time is a tragedy and we have learned this lesson well.
The attack has already gone, our prosecutor’s office today said that she would like to question the former US ambassador to Russia, McFaul, and this is just the beginning, I think.
I also think that Trump understood perfectly what he was on, and he was well aware of the risks he could see in the press conference when he was talking about the stolen server. And honestly, I respected him afterwards, that a person is willing to risk everyone even with his own life and family to destroy this empire of evil. I think they have a plan, I do not think that they were not ready for such a reaction, on the contrary, they were quite expecting it, and on the contrary answering the questions of American journalists they went on the attack. And I think if he does everything right he will be able to break down the Democrats in the primary elections in the autumn, here the main thing is to choose the right moment, to assemble a team of loyal people and law enforcement agencies and go into a tough attack, to untwist the process and the information background will break. and I hope he does it because he entered the ladder on very thin ice.
On Putin’s account, you are right, they underestimated him, he did everything secretly, restored factories, army, infrastructure, pretending that Russia is weak. Until there was a direct clash in Ukraine in 2014, and suddenly Russia seemed to throw off ragged rags and stood fully in front of the worlds in shining armor and raised her sword. And the further the events developed, the more the west was horrified, realizing that whatever they beat, that they did not do, Russia moves forward and with every step it becomes stronger. Therefore, they hate Putin, and they are enraged, they can not understand why, despite all their attempts, his support rating does not fall, why does the country love him? The answer is simple, he reminded all of us who we are, he reminded all of us that we are a great and proud people, that we have a great country, and that no one will tell us how to live in this world.
Thanks to the Moderator for the translation, I mistakenly sent not translated draft, sorry.
и тебе спасибо, NE ;-)
Good to hear voices from Russia here too, though I know there are more.
Thanks mod, for translating his text. My Russian is rusty. Like to learn it, though the tale is that it is a difficult language – but that is preserved for people worth talking it.
I could only react on one comment, but I would like to express that I agree for a large part with the comment of @serg as well. Maybe two sidelines:
-Trump may not be a politician, but he is damn smart. And my guess is, that he has far more manners than people address to him. If that is sufficient for dark powers, weaving their web for more than a century? I doubt it, but time will tell.
-A civil war when Trump is assassinated? I don’t think so. Nothing is organised, a power outage is easily orchestrated, panic and chaos, Homeland Security arrives with a bazillion ammos ready, and the FEMA camps are waiting.
(Oh, btw, even my daughter of 11 knows already that Trump has his personnel to write his tweets, including intentional language flaws.)
Some within the media are at least a little concerned about the Browder claim
I agree with you. PCR always is pessimistic -and never understands Putin’s non-commital and giving peace and accord every chance….lets hope this never changes because if it were to change – I mean Putin’s demeanor – then – watch out Hell – open the gates – the hordes are coming through and earth will be a burnt planet –
Trump had a one-to-one private conversation with Putin for about 2 hours, during which time he was able to assess Putin on a personal level as to how genuine he is, without being influenced by his advisers.
Not only would Trump have been guided by his gut instinct and experience of dealing with many intelligent deceivers, the answers/explanations Putin gave him would have had sincerity & credibility, which, although we don’t know the details, we can see the effect it had on Trump in his answers to the press at the joint news conference, as well as Lavrov’s quote of the private meeting being ‘Fantastic, better than super’.
I used to read a lot of PCR’s writing, but hardly any anymore, because they are way too pessimistic (some may argue realistic), because we are still here. Also, how many of Trump’s critics, on hearing he had won the Presidential election, thought he would not even finish his first year in office? And of course, it is good that Paul is wrong; besides, who would want to be proven right, considering the world ending consequences?
As it is, the only explanation I can come up with, beyond incompetence, stupidity, criminality and madness, is evil, regarding the way the world is today, nothing else fits. Yes, there are elements of all the foregoing which can explain certain things, but only as an exception, nothing covers it completely than evil, and that is what we are up against, which also, in a way is good: because evil has not won, meaning there must be a higher power in control, although many can’t see this.
So there is hope, and do not forget what was prophesied – and by whom – nearly 2000 years ago: ‘But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.’ Mark 13:7.
The funny part is that this is exactly why I voted for Trump. In the American fake “two-party” system, there are only two choices. Hillary was already escalating a conflict with Russia, mainly to hide and divert attention away from the way she colluded and rigged the Dem primaries away from the democratic choice of the voters who were rejecting Hillary as their nominee for the second time. Hillary was promising an immediate escalation in Syria, and seemed highly likely to start a war with Russia in her term as president.
Trump was a bit better, at least back in the campaign. I know candidates lie. If nothing else, the Clintons taught me that, as “its the economy stupid” quickly turned into “its the bankers stupid” in 93. But he was telling lies that sounded more pleasant and what the American voters had been wanting for a decade. The Iraq war was a mistake. The regime change wars were hurting America. And, most importantly to a world where the Doomsday clock gets closer and closer to midnight, he was saying he preferred better relations with Russia.
So, against all my long-held beliefs, I actually voted for a real-estate developer, the scum of the earth as far as I’m concerned, to be President. In a campaign where one candidate was promising a world where nuclear war seemed highly likely, Hillary was obviously the Greater Evil.
Now, the American deep state and the corporate media are completing their assault on democracy by attacking Trump for doing exactly what I voted for Trump to do.
What a long, strange trips its been.
however regardless of the mistakes Putin may have made, maybe making, and the apparent danger if he is in fact wrong in the attitude to the Americans and how he is handling them I am see benefit in the fact that those 2 guys even met and talked.
for Trump himself even meeting Putin puts a target on his back, if there is any sincerity to it. trump is a capitalist and a rabid one at that. it is difficult to accept that there is or can be any sincerity in such people. to such people its your money or your life..profits or nothing. it may be the certain destruction that awaits us all is there is even miscalculation between Russia/USA. to accept that and to seek rationalization of such final danger into safer relationships is an achievement..signs of sanity in whom we though insane.
I thought that Obama did indeed under all the hubris, did his best to keep the world from final war. I cant write off his efforts. but this is another level from Trump, which if really sincere makes Trump a target. and this we all should try to prevent by making sure that the world knows..especially the likely perps of any such development, that we know, and who… and that it would not go without response..GLOBALLY.
in that case it is important for them to ensure that Trump does not die at all by any cause and under any circumstances..that it is in their interest to actually protect him and make sure that he lives.
Pat Buchanan is probably too far ahead of the curve but this is the spirit of the thing. hoping that it is for real..even 50% of it.
I just was censored on Facebook again. “the night of the missiles” could not search , share, comment. Plausible deniability, but I have screenshot galore. No breach of rules on my part. No warnings , written suspensions, memes, profanity , rage, insult , slander … My policy? First one who gets mad, loses.
I’m like a true journalist in that regard. here’s one of my crimes. I should come clean: #repealAUMF
its a mad house on the psych experimental media today of course. Incredible denial and brainwashing present. I remarked it seemed Orwellian. Must be a target word. The method employed? “too fast”. Look it up on their list of no nos. It doesn’t exist. The Help feature is the Matrix. Conditional stimuli the attractant and trainer. They assume you’ll lose it and discredit yourself. I beat it and censorship too, even when a Special came and we sparred.
But today, an entire narrative of events, spoken objectively … it just disappeared. I don’t care if you believe me.
Go see for yourselves. Never let them know what you’re thinking. Silence is rewarded with a cease of “punishment”. Never thought I’d see the day.
The first time was supporting the AUMF amendment in Congress. The Speaker struck it in secret. Do coincidences exist?
I am obsessed? Yes. Detail oriented and, I protect my little grandchildren. At least I hope too.
During the German Wiemar hyperinflation in the 1920s, Jews had their fellow Tribe members send them money from around the World and they snatched up vast valuable properties at pennies on the dollar. This caused vast animosity as they flaunted their new found wealth in the faces of the impoverished Germans.
During the drunken Yeltsin years in the crumbling USSR, Jews had their fellow Tribe members send them money from around the world and they snatched up vast valuable properties at pennies on the dollar as Yeltsin was steered into “privatizing” Russian Public Properties. Then Putin halted the looting and jailed some of the Jewish “oligarchs”. This is what caused the orchestrated hate of Russia that we see staged by the Jewish controlled MSM & “Entertainment” propaganda units. They are furious Putin stopped their looting of the Russian Christians.
From Netanyahu’s infamous “Fink’s Bar diatribe” of 1990:
“If we get caught they will just replace us with persons of the same cloth. So it does not matter what you do, America is a golden calf and we will suck it dry, chop it up, and sell it off piece by piece until there is nothing left but the world’s biggest welfare state that we will create and control. Why? Because it is the will of God and America is big enough to take the hit so we can do it again and again and again. This is what we do to countries that we hate. We destroy them very slowly and make them suffer for refusing to be our slaves.”
Good to read a lot from Glenn Greenwald
“House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi (CA), Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives, declared that out of fear of some undefined retribution from Putin, a dossier on Trump perhaps, the President of the United States sold out the American people to Russia because he wants to make peace: “It begs the question, what does Vladimir Putin, what do the Russians have on Donald Trump—personally, politically and financially that he should behave in such a manner?” [..]
In one word, Mr. Roberts, it’s called: projection. That’s all what the US establishment has been doing in relation to Russia since way before Trump got elected; they’ve been projecting their own criminal activities and wrong-doings onto Russia and more specifically Putin – electoral meddling, silencing of opposition, oppression and repression of disapproved ideologies, state-mandated assassinations, invasion of foreign nations (etc)… all of which the US is the number one guilty-party bar none. In other words: projection.
Putting our read-between-the-lines helmets on, what Pelosi is really asking, or more like wondering is; what does Vladimir Putin, what do the Russians have on the American Establishment?
They know damn well that Putin – the FSB more specifically – has the dirt on ALL of them. Their biggest nightmare is for Putin and Trump to get along well, and then Putin providing Trump with the evidence needed to destroy his opponents which in turn, also happen to be Russia’s enemies. It’s a win-win situation for both of them, and a lose-lose for the hegemon, hence; the melt-down, hence; them, doing everything in their power to keep these two as far away from each other as humanly possible.
The key comment that has the establishment hyperventilating in hysterical fits didn’t come from Trump (as they’re trying to propagandize in their media), it came from Putin:
News conference following talks between the presidents of Russia and the United States:
Putin: “I mean the high-profile case, involving [Bill] Browder’s Hermitage Capital company. – We have grounds to suspect that US intelligence officers supported these illegal transactions.” [..]
Putin Claims U.S. Intelligence Agents Funneled $400 Million To Clinton Campaign
^ That was just a small token, a tiny example of “what Vladimir Putin, what the Russians have on” the American Establishment and they are in full melt-down because of it. Because from their perspective, Putin had the gall, THE NERVE to just come out and in a very nonchalant way, he just dropped a small cluster bomb in the middle of a live broadcast to the whole world as if it was nothing, no big deal. Ergo, the ‘projection’ in Pelosi’s comment. It is also a preemptive move in the case ‘dirt’ on the hegemon does come out as a result of this Putin-Trump summit and a mutual understanding between them.
One thing that I’ve noticed from comments pre-summit by keen observers, is that Trump has nothing of value to offer to Putin. Instead, the offerings – at least according to what we saw in the press conference – came from Putin:
“There is the Treaty between the United States and the Russian Federation on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters of 1999. By the way, this has proven effective.” [..] “We can suggest that your relevant commission led by US Special Counsel – what is his name, Mr Mueller or Meller? – should send us, in compliance with this treaty, an official request for interrogating the people that he believes to be guilty of committing a crime.” [..] “Moreover, we can take another step to meet you halfway. We can allow US official representatives, including those from the Mueller-led commission, to be present at the interrogation. Certainly, in this case, we will be seeking reciprocal steps from the United States.”
It must’ve been a tough pill to swallow for someone who considers himself a tough negotiator like Trump, to realize that he has very little if anything at all to put on the negotiating table and in truth he’s the one who should be going cap-in-hand to Putin. It must’ve been a hard reality-check for him to psychologically assimilate in what? A couple of hours?
Going back a little bit to Putin’s first quote regarding Browder… on the subject of fraud, corruption, electoral “meddling” (etc) the evidence keeps pointing back at malfeasant activities on the part of the Clinton camp, just like the ridiculous “RussianGate investigation” keeps unintentionally uncovering “irregularities” on the side of the FBI and the Clinton campaign rather than the Trump one. So, the intel can’t really be news to Trump, but it’s the way in which Putin delivered the message to the world that I’m sure gained his admiration. Trump finds himself in the position of ‘the apprentice’ and Putin is, never mind the boss or mentor, the sensei. Not that we didn’t know this before hand ;-)
Quelle belle surprise to find you here again TL2Q, with a very astute observation, probably the most important “bomb shells” of that meeting ! As you say, – and Auslander noted that very fast – this is the big leaf hanging now over the heads on the Potomac river. The sudden hysterical loud voices are due to these two “shells” dropped by Putin. However, I’m curious how will react Trump once at home.
Trump will do nothing.
Remember the hacked McCain’s phone and his emails to ISIS.
Trump could have arrested McCain in the first days of office, but didn’t.
I knew then, Trump is fake, it is all fake folks, just like a Reality TV drama
to keep the masses occupied.
Very nice to see you too again, Ioan. As to your question: “However, I’m curious how will react Trump once at home.”
If this is anything to go by…
Trump clarifies Russia comments:
…it does seem like he’s backpedaling on the comment the media took issue with. Is he appeasing them? Is he being honest now, or was he really sincere at the Helsinki press conference? Is he playing ‘realpolitik’ with his foes at home? Is he being just your typical dualist Gemini? Who knows, that’s for you folks out there to decipher. He did backpedal too in the comments he made about Brexit and May in the Sun interview, and we all know how the DPRK summit was on one minute, off the next, back on later that same day… I don’t know if he intends to turn this bizarre “method” of his into some sort of Trump-style way of dealing with things when the going gets tough, but if he continues using this card, sooner rather than later no-one is gonna take anything he says seriously.
Trump ‘Accepts’ US Intel on Russia Meddling, Says ‘Could Be Other People Also’
I think he was pressured into retracting his statement.
Nevertheless, ‘could be some other people also’ indicates he is attempting to limit the effects of the retraction – I think he knows full well at this stage there was no ‘meddling’ from Russia. I wonder if he has been told how the whole psyops has been orchestrated and who was behind it? Certainly the hysteria from the media suggests real fear of exposure…
I’m sure Putin enlightened him about a few things – especially the way certain elements within the intel services are operating for interests that have nothing to do with MAGA.
In my opinion, Trump somehow screwed ’em big time and they know this, there is no other excuse for the unrelenting blood curdling screams from MSM and politica in US. I was around during the Nixon debacle and I’ve never heard the likes of what is being tossed about by the media and BOTH parties, one of which is supposedly Trump’s, let alone what is being treated as Gospel from the likes of burned out prostitutes and hollywood ‘stars’, as if any of their opinions have any more relevance than that of a dead toad.
Trump is no one’s fool, he didn’t get where he is without dealing with both the Italian and Jewish mafia in NYC and the Jewish and Cuban mafia in Florida and being able to read them instantly and plan accordingly. In my opinion, the very fact that his own minions moved heaven and earth to prevent this meeting told him VVP is not the asshole said minions et al were saying he is, but Trump had to see for himself. He’s also pragmatic and he will cut his losses and leave in a heartbeat if he feels there’s nothing in this for him. He didn’t leave, he was friendly to VVP as VVP was to him in public, the body language was there. Methinks two very powerful men met, took the measure of each other and understand they can work together to prevent a flood of cruise missiles hitting my personal bucolic little valley or Norfolk Navy Yard. This in and of itself is not a bad result.
The next couple of months will be interesting and I’ll leave it at that, and qualify this statement with ‘if President Trump survives this time frame’. For the good of mankind, all of you better pray nothing happens to either President.
Respect your comments, reflects a lot of common sense.
As you know, hysteria plays well in the steaming pile of ___ which is DC.
I think buchanan nailed it with this quote:
Well, as Patrick Henry said long ago, “If this be treason, make the most of it!”
First of all, let me be clear, I love PCR his work. Never forget he was politician though. He is fully aware the Kremlin reads his work. After all, he once wrote an article about wanting to get a Russian passport and there was even a formal reply from Russia to him.
”Just hours after RI republished a letter from top alternative media columnist Paul Craig Roberts asking President Putin for a Russian passport, the Russian president’s press spokesman has responded:
The Kremlin is ready to consider the issue of granting the Russian citizenship to Paul Craig Roberts, former US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy, if he were to file a corresponding application, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.Earlier this week, Roberts asked Russian President Vladimir Putin in an open letter for a Russian passport. The official reminded that Putin had granted citizenship to Steven Seagal, expressing hope that “being a Russian agent is as important as teaching martial arts to Russians.” “A corresponding application needs to be filed in order to receive citizenship. It will be considered if it is filed,” Peskov told RIA Novosti.”

PCR is helping the world big time by his writings and insights shared with the public. Most likely deeper insights with anyone pro peace and prosperity since that is where his main achievements lay. To me his genius lays into laying bare the weakness of Russia, Trump, XI, the headless burocrazy in the EU and then some. As I can see it, he lays bare sore points powerfull people want to get talked about between the diverse powers. Thus being an intermediate to get talks going to defuse tensions and work towards resolutions.
Mr PCR is a true lover of peace, freedom and prosperity to all on this plan(e)t and with his work he does a great job. In his own style and way. I ofcourse can only speculate but this is my take on his style. He is from the Reagan era and that was not a politics as usual era either, just as mr Trump is. He is a fish in the water again and that shows (smile).
that passport PR-stunt was 2 years ago and you are selling it like it was recently.
Nice try but no luck, 98% of the comments dismissed PCR’s writing.
You can’t sweet talk it.
I guess you missed my point RATM. My point is that PRC is playing a great political game. I am pointing out that is that the Kremln reads his work. I dont get what your point is. Besides that, I have to ask, what am I sweet talking?
Wow! That was right and to the point. What a sad, evil, and dangerous state of affairs exists in US politics right now.
